Episode 3: From the NFL to Flag Football – A Conversation with Richmond Webb
In this third episode of the Global Flag Football League Podcast, we’re thrilled to welcome NFL legend Richmond Webb. Known for his incredible 13-year career as an offensive tackle with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals, Richmond was a first-round pick in the 1990 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M University, where he was later inducted into the Texas A&M Hall of Fame.
Throughout his NFL career, Richmond racked up 7 Pro Bowl selections, multiple All-Pro honors, and a spot on the prestigious NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. He was also named the 1990 AFC Rookie of the Year. As one of the key players responsible for protecting Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino, Richmond knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level.
Now, Richmond is channeling that same passion and expertise into flag football as the proud owner of the Houston Hurricanes in the Global Flag Football League. In this episode, we talk about Richmond’s journey from college football to the NFL, what it takes to have a long and successful career on the field, and how he’s approaching team ownership in the fast-growing world of flag football.
It’s a conversation packed with insight, inspiration, and advice for players and fans alike.
