Karen Yankovich (00:10):
Karen, hello, hello, and welcome back to the
good girls get rich podcast. I'myour host, Karen Yankovich, and
today's episode is a little bitof a rebel moment for me. You
know, if you, if you follow meon social media, and hopefully
we are connected across othersites besides LinkedIn, we've
been really diving in a littledeeper to some of the other

(00:31):
sites, and just for a fewreasons, to test some things and
to promote this show, thingslike that, not necessarily to
get the big clients right, butto get this show in more hands.
And let me just say something,it feels like a content hamster
wheel on these other platforms. And so if you've ever felt stuck
in that content hamster wheel, constantly posting on Instagram,

(00:53):
recording reels, making tiktoks, writing newsletters, trying to
keep up with whatever's trendingThis Week, then this episode is
for you, because today I amhanding you a permission slip,
permission to slow down, permission to get off the
hamster wheel, and, mostimportantly, permission to build
real visibility and realcredibility without sacrificing

(01:14):
your peace, without spendinghours and hours and hours with
your phone and your facerecording yourself. Right? So I
want to start with a statisticthat rocked my world a little
bit, and maybe we'll do the samefor you. Only 1% of LinkedIn
users post content weekly. 1% 1%of LinkedIn users is generating

(01:35):
9 billion impressions everysingle week. 9 billion billion
with a B, so you don't need topost every day. You don't need
to go viral. You just need toshow up intentionally with
value, with clarity and a littlesoul, right? And that's what
today is about. How to useLinkedIn as a visibility engine
that works with your energy, notdraining your energy, not

(01:57):
working against your energy. Solet's talk for a second about
that content hamster wheel thatI find myself on sometimes, and
not necessarily on LinkedInlike, you know, it's just for as
a business owner, I'm alwaystesting all the things, right?
So you've probably heard advicelike, post every single day,
batch, 30 pieces of contentevery month, be in all places.
And what happens? Burnout, absolute burnout and overwhelm,

(02:21):
and if we're being honest, mediocre engagement. Right? I
recently I read about a marketerwho did a 30 day LinkedIn
challenge, right? She gainedsome followers and some
visibility, but she also loggedin like 10 hours a week creating
content that's 40 hours a month.That's always a full time job,
just for the freaking content. And if you're building a

(02:42):
consulting business or abusiness where high ticket
packages are in your world, youdon't have time for that,
especially not when you could bespending that time building high
value relationships and servingactual clients. The hamster
wheel doesn't work long term. Itcreates pressure without
purpose, noise without depth, and who the heck needs more
noise in their life right now?Certainly not me, right? So

(03:04):
here's where this gets moreexciting. LinkedIn is not asking
you to be loud. You do notbenefit by posting more times a
day on LinkedIn. LinkedIn wantsus to be valuable. Let me just
say that again, LinkedIn rewardsquality over quantity, and that
magic stat that I mentionedbefore, 1% of users creating

(03:27):
weekly content are generatingthe bulk of the visibility on
the platform. This is not apopularity contest, right? This
is for positioning LinkedIn. TheLinkedIn is created as a
positioning platform, and whenyou use it with intention, with
strategy, with the kind ofthought leadership that lives in
your soul, you createopportunities. More speaking

(03:48):
gigs, corporate contracts, 20k50k 100k contracts, podcast
invitation, high ticket leadswho already trust you. All
magnetic, right? It's a magneticstrategy. And here's the thing
I've seen this happen with liketwo posts a week. Two, two posts
a week, because it's not aboutposting more. It's about posting
powerfully. It's about postingintentionally. So let me walk

(04:12):
you through a little bit my soulled LinkedIn strategy that works
for high achieving women withoutthe burnout. So pick a couple
times a week, two to three timesa week to post. Now I you may
see me post more often, sometimes, right, because I'm
creating this content right nowfor all these other platforms.
I'm sharing it on LinkedIn aswell. Sometimes right, because I

(04:32):
do want to promote my podcast, and we've been also promoting
older shows. And you know, as asI mentioned, always testing
things because I want to sharewith you in this podcast and in
my she's linked up program. What's working right but so pick
two to three times a week topost. Choose the windows that
work for you, but the times thattend to perform best are Tuesday

(04:53):
to Thursday, mid morning tolunchtime. I'm Eastern Time, and
you know us here in the New YorkCity area, we think that we're
the center of. Universe. So I'mgoing to assume Tuesday to
Thursday, mid morning tolunchtime is, is, you know, I
would think Eastern time, right? But I guess if you if you have a
specific market in your own timezone, do it in your time zone,
right? And then remember qualityover quantity. One great post

(05:17):
does so much more than 10forgettable ones that chat GPT
wrote for you, right? And I'mnot saying don't use chat GPT to
help create content you can. Butyou want to infuse your own
personality. You want to infuseyour own vibe into this you want
to infuse your stories, realstories, into this stuff. Create
content that teaches, thatshares a story that offers

(05:37):
really powerful insights. Youknow, maybe a behind the scenes
win, right? Even small ones, even small ones, many client
case studies, permission slipposts, right? Like, here's what
I stopped doing in my business, and here's what happened next,
right? Those kinds of things, because they're, they're what we
want, right? We don't want, like, any more of this, like
crazy, first of all, 17paragraph long stuff that we

(06:01):
know you didn't write in thefirst place, right? So create a
few, a few, just a couple piecesof quality content every week,
and remember that you want youdon't need to be the loudest.
You need to be intentional. Soleverage that 1% mindset, that
1% mindset that means thatyou're using your headline and
your banner to communicateexactly what you offer. You have

(06:23):
a clear call to action in yourprofile, and you post with the
goal of visibility andcredibility and connection and
community, not volume. Andhere's the deal. The best part
about this is repurpose this.Right? You'll see that I'll
promote, I promote this podcast,and I actually mentioned a
little while ago that we'rerepurposing posts. We're diving
deeper into our old catalog ofshows and promoting them. You

(06:47):
know why it's community? If Ihave a guest expert, I can bring
them. I mean, listen, I want youto hear my guest experts, right?
So I have guest experts fromthree years ago or four years
ago, I can bring them back tothe forefront of my show,
tagging them on LinkedIn. So nowtheir audience sees my name, but
my audience sees their nameagain, right? And it's Win. Win.
This is recreating stuff I'vealready done, right? So recreate

(07:09):
stuff you have a client. Win.Talk about that. If you have a
client that you know, that gaveyou it, sent you a message
today. Tell us about that. Didyou write an email that you
love? Turn it into a post, right? Your thought leadership
already exists, so you're notstarting here from scratch.
Repurpose, repurpose, repurpose, and this is really an important
part I want you to engage onLinkedIn like a leader you know,

(07:32):
spending 10 minutes a day, 10minutes a day, 10 minutes a day,
commenting on other people'sposts, thoughtful, meaningful,
curious comments. This is thenumber one thing that's working
at the time that I'm recordingthis now, to get your name and
your content in front of morepeople, is by engaging on other
people's content. BecauseLinkedIn is not a billboard,
it's a conversation, right? Andyou have to be a part of that

(07:54):
conversation. And guess what? Those conversations are where
referrals happen, right? Thoseconversations are where the
podcast invitations come fromnot those cold pitches that
you're sending to everyone. Youknow, the the money and the
media start from thoseconversations. You know, I if
you have a podcast, I'm surethis is not going to surprise
you, but I get a ton of coldpitches for people that want to

(08:15):
be on my podcast every singleday, and it drives me crazy,
because somehow I've gotten outthere. My name has gotten out
there, like, but there's amisalignment with the name of
the show, and I've got like, they're pitching other pitching
other people's shows. To me,it's crazy. I get so much junk
podcast pitching. It'sunbelievable. It's unbelievable.
And I don't choose any of thisstuff. Somebody's paying for

(08:36):
this. Somebody's spending timedoing this. It's a complete
waste of time, right? Spend 10minutes a day engaging with
other people, with those curiouscomments and thoughtful
conversations, and watch thatmagnet start to work that
magnetizes people to you. Solet's wrap this up. You don't
need another content calendarthat makes you feel behind
before you even start. You don'tneed to wake up wondering, What

(08:59):
am I posting today? You justneed a platform that honors your
time, reflects your credibility, creates actual results. And
guess Anybody want to guess whatplatform I'm going to say is
LinkedIn. Is that platformright? So what if, just what if
you listen to this, and you togo to your calendar, go to

(09:19):
Asana, or whatever projectmanagement tool you use and
schedule three powerfulpermission slip type posts this
week. What if that triples yourvisibility? Just three. Just
three. Right? Put it on yourcalendar. Start to schedule
them. You can schedule them, bythe way. You don't have to do
you can sit down right nowschedule those three posts,
right? Take one idea from thisepisode and turn it into a

(09:43):
LinkedIn Post this week. Make itsimple, make it honest, make it
yours. Tag me. Use the hashtaglike LinkedIn liberation,
because this is the platformthat liberates us from the
content handcuffs, right? And,
you know, I want to cheer youon, and that's how I'll see it.
Make sure that you tag me,right? I. And remember, if you
want my eyes on your LinkedInvisibility plan, let's talk,

(10:03):
right? Let's talk. Let's makesure your strategy matches your
brilliance. Just go on over toKaren yankovich.com/call, book a
call, world chat. If we thinkit's a fit that I if I think
it's something I can help youwith, I'll tell you what that
looks like. Either way, we'regonna have a great conversation.
If we have not talked yet, nowis the time to do this because
we are moving out of thesummertime into the fall, and

(10:24):
this is when we start setting Icall this the on ramp to 2026
right? This is the time to toset the foundation so that 2026
is the biggest year you've everhad. Let's chat. Karen
yankovich.com/call, get you tomy calendar. Big Love, my
friend. Let's trade hustle forimpact, let's get visible with
soul, and I will see you nextweek on the good girls get rich

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
