Karen Yankovich (00:00):
Karen,
(00:10):
hello and welcome back to thegood girls get rich podcast. I'm
your host, Karen Yankovich, andthis is where we talk about how
women build wealth, influenceand impact without burnout, and
this episode is a little bitdifferent. This episode is your
wake up call. I firmly believethat women with wealth change
(00:30):
the world. They fund causes, they create opportunities, they
build legacies, but so manywomen are playing small under
charging, under earning, andwaiting for permission to step
into their power that stopstoday. You hear me, that stops
today. So if you're feeling thepull to create more impact, more
(00:55):
influence, to own your expertiseand to finally earn the kind of
income that you know is therefor you and be seen, then this
is an episode that you need. Youknow, there was a study done a
few years ago that women arethat women were still making a
half a trillion dollars, trillion trillion with the T
(01:18):
less than men for the same job.And you know, we can look at
that and get annoyed, right? Andit is annoying. It could be
annoying, but frankly, that is awaste of my energy. I look at
that as an opportunity. It's ahalf a trillion dollars worth of
opportunity there for me, and Iwant a piece of that pie. So if
you want a piece of that pie, ifyou're ready for more in 2025 if
(01:39):
you're ready to rise that I wantto talk to you, right? So DM me
on LinkedIn or Instagram thatyou're ready, and let's have
that conversation, but in themeantime, right? We're here, and
I want to talk a little bitabout that wealth gap that that
I talked about earlier, right, that earnings gap, because it's
not just a earnings gap, it's apower gap, right? Women make
(02:04):
less money than men, not justbecause of external forces, but
some of this, we createourselves. We charge less, we
negotiate less, we hesitate toown our expertise. There's
another study that shows ifthere's a job, and there's 10
requirements for that job, right? And if you guys want the
sources for these studies, DMme, and I'll see if I can find
them, because I find them, because I know that I have them,
but I didn't, maybe I'll see ifI can find them before this goes
(02:27):
live. But in any case, let's saythere's a job that it requires
10 things. Women will not applyfor that job unless they have
every single one of those 10things. Men will apply for that
job if they have four of thosethings or a few of those things,
and then say, I can learn therest, right? They negotiate.
They don't hesitate to own thefact that they're that. They
feel completely capable to dothat job, but we walk away from
(02:50):
it, right? So, so wealth isabout more than money. It's
about power, right? And I don'tso interesting when I was
researching for this episode, Iwas struggled a little bit with
that word power, because I'm notreally looking for power. But
guess what? We're living in aworld right now where men with
power, when with money, havepower. So maybe I need to get a
(03:13):
little bit more comfortable withthe word power. And maybe so do
you right? Because, becausethat, because it's not just
about the money that money givesus more more power, more
security, right? More securityand more influence. When women
have wealth, they make decisionsthat benefit communities, that
benefit families, that benefitthe world, right? And we
(03:34):
hesitate to go after it, and wehesitate to use words like
power, or I hesitate to usewords like power, because I'm
uncomfortable with them, and Idon't know how I feel about
that, right? But here's thedeal, I can't wait anymore, and
the women that I work with, theyare ready to not wait anymore.
We're they're ready to claimtheir space, build that
(03:54):
visibility, right? And startpositioning themselves as the
leaders that they already are.You are already doing this,
right? You are already anexpert. The world needs you to
start acting like it, and I amhere to lift you up and support
you with that, right? It's atthe heart of everything we talk
about here at good girls getrich. I want to talk a little
(04:15):
bit too about visibility. Why Italk so much about publicity?
Visibility equals opportunity.Think about the names you trust,
right? Chances are you've seenthese names like the people that
are the most influential peoplein your industry. You've
probably seen them featured inForbes or entrepreneur Listen,
heard them interviewed onpodcasts or seen them on TV or
speaking on major stages, right? This is how we they have
(04:37):
credibility, because we've theyborrow other people's
credibility. Other people putthem on their stage, other
people interview them, right? Sogetting featured in the media
doesn't mean you're morequalified than other people. It
just means you're seen as theexpert. And we have to do this.
We have to go after this, right? They're not going to come
knocking on our door while wesit here and soak up rays at the
(04:59):
beach, right? And say, hey, Iwant this opportunity now
listen, you know how much I lovethat magnetic marketing, right?
So we're building some magnetisminto this, but we also there's,
there's things we need to do,right? There's things we need to
do in a limited fashion, right?I want to build ease into all of
this that we can do, so that weare getting featured alongside
(05:21):
the most influential people inour industry. Does that make
sense? I mean, I have a clientthat landed a six figure
consulting deal simply becauseof a podcast interview, right,
that positioned her as the go toexpert in her field. Listen, I
get I can think of podcasts I'vebeen interviewed on that have
landed me over six figures, right? I I can think of magazine
(05:41):
features that I've been in, andthese were things that I went
after, right? Like I said, Hey,I think maybe this would be, I'd
be a good fit. I'd love to talkto you, right? This is all stuff
I teach you in our program, butthere's a strategy around this.
It's not just cold pitching, right? If you have a podcast,
you know, you probably get a tonof pitches, right? It's not
that. This is not that, right? You know, another one of my
clients went from struggling toget a client at all to getting
(06:04):
hired for 20k packages becauseher authority was cemented by
press features. You know, Iremember going, I had an
opportunity, and I was sittingin this person's office at one
point looking to land thisopportunity, and they said, you
know, when I put your name in ina Google search, 1020, pages
come up. I'm like, Yeah, I doknow that that's what I want for
(06:25):
you. That's why I'm here,because I can do that for you. I
can help you do that, right? Sothe reality is, if people don't
see you, they can't hire you.Visibility is not a luxury in
2025 it's not a luxury. It's notabout ego. It's a necessity.
It's a necessity. You need to beseen by more people. You need to
be seen as an expert. You needto stand out from the crowd in
(06:47):
this crazy, noisy world we'reliving in right now. And you
know how much I love this nexttopic, right? High Ticket
offers. This is the fastest pathto wealth. Selling low cost
services only, okay, only I'mnot telling you not to sell low
cost services, but selling onlylow cost services, or even
worse, hourly rates, keeps womenstuck in a cycle of exhaustion.
(07:11):
And the truth is, it is noharder. It's probably easier to
sell a 25k offer than 10 $2,500offers, 100% it's easier to sell
a 25k offer than 10 $2,500offers when you elevate your
pricing and your position andyou're attracting clients who
see your value immediately, right? Because you're not going
(07:34):
out there just and remember, this is not about overcharging,
right? If this go back andlisten to the last few episodes,
if you need to, this is notabout overcharging. This is
about creating an opportunitythat where you can massively
over deliver. You know, I one ofthe things we do on our cheese
linked up program is we help youwith these higher ticket
opportunities, right? Whateverthat looks like for you, whether
it's a job or whatever apackage. And one of the things
(07:56):
that I'm committed to is, if Icharge you $1 for something, I
need to know in my heart ofhearts, it's worth 10 times
that. That is worth $10 so if Icharge you $1,000 for something,
I need to know my heart ofheart, it's worth $10,000 I
charge you $100,000 forsomething, I need to know my
heart of hearts, you're gonnaget a million dollars worth of
value up from that, right? And Ithat is, that is the tenant that
(08:16):
I stand by in my business. It'sreally important. Because if you
say, if you know that this highticket offer, this 25k offer,
right, is really worth 25 youknow, $250,000
it's really easy to say, and theinvestment for that package that
we've been talking about here is$25,000 because you know, you
know they're going to, they'regoing to get massive value from
(08:39):
that, right, when you elevateyour pricing and positioning,
right? I said this before. Iwant to say it again, when you
elevate your pricing andpositioning you are you're
attracting people whoimmediately see your value,
right? So my shoes linked up.Clients have landed 50k
corporate contracts, an ungodlynumber of speaking engagements,
right? Premium consulting deals, simply by shifting the way they
(09:00):
position themselves on LinkedInand the way they position
themselves in the media, you'reyou are already worth this
premium pricing. You haven't.You're not new to this, right?
You did not just start doingthis today, even if the title
you have now is new, the workyou're doing, you've probably
been doing a long time, right? You just need the strategy to
position and sell this properly. So if you're feeling that fire
(09:22):
inside you right now thatknowing that you are meant for
more and that you're just youdon't know what else to do,
listen in this day and age, here's what we can count on. We
can count on ourselves, right? We can count on ourselves and
and if we are doing everythingwe can to position ourselves to
bring in the kind of money thatwill change our lives and our
(09:44):
family's lives forever. Thatchanges everything for you in
this crazy world we're in rightnow, right? That's why I created
my she's linked up program, thereignite and rise up version,
which we have, we are about tolaunch. And as a matter of fact,
at the time that this podcast. Is going live. Our doors are
