Karen,
Karen Yankovich (00:10):
hello and
welcome back to the good girls
get rich podcast where we talkabout how women build wealth and
impact on their own terms. I'myour host. Karen Yankovic, and
today I want to share somethingreally powerful with you. This
is the second in a kind of aspecial series that I'm doing,
and they're going live inFebruary 2025, and you know,
(00:32):
today, what we want to talkabout is how women are landing
big fat, juicy contracts, opportunities that they've only
dreamed of using LinkedIn andvisibility strategies for their
to land these contracts, right? So over the past few years, you
know, I've worked with so manyincredible women, and always,
(00:52):
always they're done playingsmall. Always they have these
big, giant, beautiful dreams, and almost always they're not
charging enough, or they don'thave big ticket items, right?
And what I mean by that is,we're not looking for you to
overcharge, we're looking foryou to create high ticket
opportunities. And they're readyto really be seen as the
(01:13):
experts. They are so smart. These women are so smart, so
brilliant, and when they madethe shift to shift their mindset
and to shift their businesslooking for the bigger
opportunities. Magic happened.Everything changed for them.
We're talking about high ticketclients, media features, major
partnerships, consistent, fiveand six figure opportunities,
(01:36):
all from stepping up theirLinkedIn strategy and their
LinkedIn visibility. And youknow what, for me, the best part
of all this is, is that there'snot a ton of posting required.
You don't have to post a milliontimes a day on social media, on,
you know, I don't know, reelsand 15 million posts and no
pointing at things and dancing. You don't do any of that, right?
(01:59):
You don't have to grind forleads, you don't have to be
messaging and DMing 100 or 200people a day up to any of that.
So today, on this episode, I'mgoing to share exactly how they
did it. And if you're feelinglike this is your time to rise
at 2025, is going to be youryear, then go on over to
LinkedIn or Instagram and justDM me ready, and I will get you
(02:19):
some details of what I've gotcoming out for you in March of
2025, and if you're listening tothis later on DM, you're ready
anyway, because I've always gotsomething to go for you, right?
So let's get into this. I wantto talk a little bit about some
of the women that I had theabsolute, the absolute pleasure
to work with. I can't even tellyou how, how, just genuinely
(02:43):
grateful I am that I get to hangwith these amazing, amazing,
amazing women. And, you know,it's all interesting, because
when I talk to my coaches, orjust, you know, marketing people
in general, they're like, Well, what's your niche, Karen, you
only work with accountants. Youonly work with attorneys. Like,
yeah. None of that reallymatters to me. What matters to
me is that you're ready to stepinto something new, and you're
(03:05):
ready to do it from a positionof confidence and power. And I
think about my client,Elizabeth, who was had a pretty
powerful C suite position, andshe was retiring. It was just
time for her to retire. She wasin a country that wasn't a lot
of women in power, and she justwanted to be known for that. And
what she really wanted was aposition on a board of
(03:27):
directors, maybe more than one, right? And she was really
looking to do that in a big way.I mean, some of those positions
paid her really, really well. Sowe created this strategy, right,
this LinkedIn and and visibilitystrategy for her. And you know,
here in the US, we're not quiteas subtle, or we're not as
concerned about puttingourselves out there as maybe
(03:49):
some other countries are, right? Some of the countries, other
countries in the world, like Ican't say that about myself,
right? So, so we I, I wasmindful of that, right? We were
mindful of that because I wantedto make sure that she felt
really comfortable with thestrategies that we were
creating. Not everybody needs toto show up like an American
might show up, right? So, so itworks so quickly for her, I
can't even tell you, or soquickly for her. She got these,
(04:11):
these opportunities so fast thatI remember her saying to me one
day, you know, I know I need todo all these videos you want me
to do. And I was like, Why doyou need to do them? She said,
Well, you wanted me to do them.I go, Yeah, before you got all
these opportunities, but youalready got what you wanted this
strategy to do. So, so now, ifyou want to continue to show up
like an influencer in yourcountry, if you want to continue
(04:32):
to show up as a role model forthe women in your country, then
yes, of course, do some videos, but the strategy to land you the
opportunity you already thatalready happened, right? So, so
now you can do this on your ownterms. And it was such a
beautiful thing. It was such abeautiful conversation, because
she had a big fat, juicy salary, and it didn't take long for her
(04:53):
to convert that into a big fat, high income spot on a board of
directors. So, so. Amazing forher. And then I think about how
many, I mean, I could probablylist five of them or 25 of them,
right, but how many women I gotto work with that just
undercharged? Right? For years, they undercharge. And I think
about Deirdre, who was tellingme that she went through my
(05:16):
program and she listened to thepart about where I talked about
VlP days and how to create ahigh ticket offer. One of the
first things I do when I workwith people on any level is,
what are your high ticketoffers? What are the where's the
money, right? Where are the bigfat, juicy opportunities? And
then we reverse engineer astrategy to help you land them.
So she had a conversation on hercalendar, and she would have
(05:39):
normally, I'm not gonna, I don'tknow what, exactly what the
numbers were, but again, shewasn't in the US either. So the
numbers, you know, the numbers, aren't the same for me, right?
They're not dollars, sosometimes it's hard to for me to
equate them. So she was goingin, let's say she was going in,
and she normally charge $100right? Or $1,000 or a million
dollars, whatever it is. And shesays, as he's talking in my
(06:00):
head, I heard your voice, Karen, and I heard your voice saying,
double the number that's in yourhead, and then just stop
talking. So I did. I doubled thenumber that I was going to give
him, and then I stopped talking. And he said, Okay, that sounds
great. When do we start? And Ilove that conversation so much,
because we are the ones in theway of landing these big fat,
(06:21):
juicy contracts. Guess whathappened when she doubled her
number, she was able to way overdeliver to this client because
she had the budget to be able todo that right if she had gone in
with her original number.Sometimes we find ourselves
going, oh, I want this, but Ireally can't do this in this
budget. Right? When you createan opportunity that's a higher
(06:41):
ticket opportunity, and theclient says, yes, it's win, win,
because we can over deliver, andthe client gets such amazing
results. I think of, I can thinkof another client that I had
this conversation with. She was,her name is Claire, and she was
looking to work withcorporations. And she said she
came to this call, and she said,I know it's going to be, I know
you. You You know I'm lookingfor like, like a $10,000
(07:02):
opportunity, but are you gonnawant it to be a $20,000
opportunity? So let's just gothere. So I laughed and said,
Okay, let's find you a $20,000opportunity. So we crafted
something together, and about 10minutes before the end of our
call, I said, let me just askyou something. What if it was a
$50,000 opportunity? She went, well, then I'm go on site once a
month. I can give themassessments. I can work with
(07:22):
people individually. Shestarted, like, vomiting all
these amazing things she wouldbe able to do for this client if
it was a $50,000 contractinstead of a $20,000 contract. I
was like, wow, doesn't thatsound amazing, right? Like,
don't you want that? And and nowthe client is getting a better
value from you. They're gettingbetter results. Often, these are
corporate clients. Often, thesecorporate clients have budgets
(07:44):
for these kinds of things. Whyare we not asking for it when we
know we can deliver at such anamazing value when we've got
enough budget, right? So I canso many of the clients I've
worked with have just gone injust under charging, because
they're when they think aboutcharging more money. They think
about overcharging. And I'm nottalking about overcharging. I'm
(08:04):
talking about over deliveringand having enough budget so that
you can over deliver. Does thatmake sense? Then there is the
entire huge list of clients thatI work with who think they're
too new to the online space, right? And even though they've
leveraged their expectation, maybe they were in corporate
last week, and now they they'removing to entrepreneurism. He's
like, Well, I've never been acoach before, a consultant
(08:26):
before. They can't, but you'vedone this work before, right?
You've done this work before. And again, the strategy is the
same, right? Create a higherticket opportunity and then
create a media plan to get togive you the credibility that
allows you to land those higherticket opportunities and go in
from that point forward, I oh mygosh. I got a list here in front
(08:49):
of me of the women that I didn'twant to forget. Allison, my
gosh. Noel Tiffany, there's likeso many people that that when
they started to, when they whenthey were leaving, what they
were doing before, and steppedinto this new thing. But did it
with power. Did it withconfidence. Did it with that
media, that opportunities overthem. I'm thinking of Tiffany,
if you're listening Tiffany, shelearned. She did these
(09:10):
strategies so well, she startedoffering these exact services to
corporations, right LinkedIn andPR services to corporations,
because she was doing such agreat job of it for herself that
she, she built an entire sidebusiness just doing that right?
I'm thinking about, Oh my gosh, another one of my clients.
Unknown (09:27):
She, she, she works
with communities,
Karen Yankovich (09:32):
and she landed
a big, gigantic opportunity with
a company you would. I don'thave permission to share this.
Are we shared here, but I shouldhave thought of this before with
a company you would know tobuild communities around their
products, right? It was a hugeopportunity. I'm thinking of
another client of mine, who, who? And by the way, she, she
(09:53):
hadn't really thought aboutgoing for these bigger
opportunities,
Unknown (09:56):
right? So, so huge,
right? These are so huge. Huge.
Karen Yankovich (10:02):
And, you know,
here's the other thing too. You
know, I'm thinking of anotherone of my clients, Kristen W
she, I've had a lot of Kristen. She, she was a long time
entrepreneur, and she was kindof stuck in this low paying
place. She's getting clients, but they weren't not a lot, and
they were kind of barely, she'sbarely breaking even on the work
she was doing for them, and sheimplemented, I talked to her on
(10:25):
a Tuesday, so she implementedthe strategies that I that we
created, crafted on a Tuesday. She booked a call on her
calendar for Friday, and had anew client by Monday. Like it
can happen that fast for you atthe higher price point, right?
Because here's the thing, too, people are yes, people want a
bargain, but they don'tnecessarily want bargain,
(10:45):
bargain contractors working ontheir business, right? They want
the best. They want the best, and they're willing to invest in
the best. They're willing toinvest in the best. Noel is
somebody that, my gosh, she wasdoing this part for herself,
ended up getting herself thisgreat corporate opportunity that
she allowed her to kind of do alittle bit of both. She was a
contract, so she didn't actuallygo back to a paycheck, but she
(11:06):
got this great corporatecontract opportunity, right? So,
so, so, so much amazingness withall of this. And you know this
works for you, whether you're acoach or a consultant or maybe
you're a physician and you wantto get out of working with
patients. I can. I'm thinking ofmy, one of my other clients,
Tanya, doubled her income, andshe's in the medical field,
(11:28):
doubled her income from 2023 to2024 doubled, right? Maybe even
tripled. Not totally short, butthe number was, the number was
significantly more just byimplementing these words, not by
working harder, by workingsmarter by stepping into their
brand and showing up in adifferent way. And here's where
this is so important in thisworld that we find ourselves in
(11:48):
at this moment in time, nothingis more important than your
brand and your credibility. Weneed to show up as if we're
worthy of these opportunities, because if not, we're going to
get beat down, or somebody elseis going to get them. And you
know what? Somebody else goingto get them anyway. So we need
to be, we need to be we don'twant to get a million of $1
something that costs $1 we wantto be landing a higher ticket
(12:11):
client after higher ticketclient that keeps us abundant,
that brings more money into ourbank accounts. I want there to
be more wealthy women. Becausewealthy women change the world.
They can donate, they can do allkinds of things that change the
world in the ways that areimportant to them, right? And
that's what I want for you. Solet me just talk a little bit
about some teaching pointsaround this episode. LinkedIn is
(12:32):
not just about the content, it'sabout the positioning. And I
know so many people are outthere saying, Oh, let me show
you how many views I got on mycontent. I don't really care how
many views I got on my content.I care about how many new
clients I got, right? So theseare these women that I just told
you about. They didn't spendhours posting. They optimized
their profile to attract thesehigh level opportunities. They
(12:53):
didn't talk about their profileof this if it was a resume,
right? They did it as if it wastheir brand, and they made sure
that their brand showed up ashigh value, and they focus on
the relationships andengagement, but but not
necessarily just the content.Right? You want to be having
conversations, and that's wherethe opportunities are, right?
The PR and visibility establishyou as that go to expert right?
(13:15):
When you're seeing in the media, you immediately gain
credibility. I think aboutBarbara Cochran right from Shark
Tank. She talks about the factthat when she first started, she
created the Cochrane report, andshe had like, two sales, three
sales, but she she built like alittle brand around it, and she
put it, sent it to all thedifferent newspapers, and the
New York Times picked it up,published it as the Cochrane
(13:36):
report, and the rest is history, right? She when people, when
people think you're bigger thanwhen people, when people see
your name in the news, theythink you're bigger than you
are, right? And we're notlooking to fake people out here,
but we're looking to show upwith the credibility we know we
deserve, clients, partnerships, more and more opportunities,
speaking gigs, they start comingto you, right? I talk so much in
(13:59):
the work that I do about themagnetic effect of this work. I
don't want you out there bangingon doors. I want people coming
to you. And that's what happenedwhen it happens, when you
implement these strategies. Youknow, I think about, Gosh, I
think about one of my clientswho landed, who was interviewing
on a podcast, and got a bigopportunity, and then a big
opportunity from that, a bigopportunity from that, right? If
(14:20):
you think about where yourbiggest opportunities came from,
and think back to them, theyprobably came back from
originally, from a relationship,or maybe from some media I think
about some of the biggestopportunities I have, and they
came from media features, right? And that can be the same for
you, and we need to shift tothat high ticket mindset. You
need fewer clients, not morehustle, right? Let me repeat
(14:40):
that you need fewer clients, notmore. Hustle. The women who made
this shift realized it's easierto sell one high ticket offer
than it is to sell 10, like 120,$5,000 offer than 10, $2,500
offers, right? It's the it's thecase every single time. But we
get in our own way, and I'mhere. Up to clear the path for
(15:01):
you, get you out of your own wayso that you can start bringing
in the higher ticketopportunities. And when these
women that I told you aboutelevated their pricing, elevated
their confidence, elevated theirvisibility, the client stepped
right up for them. So if you'reready to create your higher
ticket opportunities, then weneed to talk right? This is
exactly what we do inside ourshe's linked up inside our she's
(15:23):
linked up program, and her she'slinked up community. And we have
revamped the whole program, andwe are reopening our doors in
March. So text me the word Damnme, the word ready on LinkedIn
or Instagram, and I'll tell youall about it. There's no
obligation here. I am here foryou, just showing up for you,
because the women who rise up in2025 are the ones that are
taking action right now. Sothank you so much for being here
(15:47):

business, let's build your highticket business right here,
