(00:16):
It's been said that what you appreciate appreciates.
And one of my clients who is a real estate investment coach and mentor and advisor hasthis concept in her teachings as one of the six ways to make money in real estate about
forced appreciation.
And forced appreciation when you're investing in properties is...

(00:38):
taking the opportunity to improve the property, whether, put a coat of paint on, changethe carpets, simple things is what's recommended to increase the value of that property
that you've invested in so that you can either increase your borrowings or, increase yournet worth or, be able to create

(01:00):
a tax deduction from those investments, all of these things.
But anyway, this is not my expertise, but interesting all the same.
hadn't heard that term before forced appreciation.
How can you drive up the value of something before you're waiting for it to happen viasome external force?
So keeping on the real estate analogy that

(01:22):
people will hold onto a property and just assume that that property is going to go up.
But what my beautiful client recommends is that you can take control of that and forcesome of that appreciation.
And I thought that that was an interesting concept to reflect upon in this episode becauseover this week, I have been diving in
into my living space, my home.

(01:43):
I live in my home with my younger daughter who is 20, she's nearly 21, And she is aprojector four six.
I'm a manifesto five one.
And so there is not really a lot of cycle energy in our home, right?
The two of us live here.
It's not a lot of people coming and going.

(02:03):
And finding that
life force energy and that regenerative energy can be a bit of a challenge between the twoof us.
My other daughter is a generator three, five, but at the moment she's overseas working ona cruise ships out of Miami and we're in our home in Melbourne.
And I've got to say Since living in this home, I've never really loved it.

(02:24):
there's always been things that have bothered me.
And one of those things was having.
where my office was.
So spending, a fair amount of my time, on my business and in my office, it didn't reallyfeel like I could close that off from the rest of the house.
it had my own area, but I didn't have a door and it sort of felt very transient.

(02:44):
So that always bothered me.
It was funny because my daughter, Millie has this friend who is a generator and she hadbeen spending a lot of time around at our house.
And one of the benefits of that was that she loves to get things, going and get thingsorganized and wanted to kind of get into our garage and organize it.

(03:04):
in that.
You know, sort of felt a bit guilty that she was in there like organizing all our stuffand we had things in storage in the garage and often the garage becomes that place where
you just put all this stuff and that had definitely happened in our house.
And even despite the fact we had tried to clean it out a few times, it still felt likethere was a lot of stuff there.

(03:25):
So I went down there and I started to sort of feel the, her sacral energy and the.
energy to start, getting rid of some of that stuff and opening up a new possibility formoving around the house.
anyway, long story short, we moved, our bedrooms and I am taking the top floor of thehouse and now have, a big bathroom bedroom and a

(03:52):
office where I can close the door.
It's, it's my other daughter's bedroom.
So she's been asked to do that bedroom and I have reclaimed it as my office.
And now I have a whole floor to myself.
And then my daughter has another floor to herself and it's kind of like a mini apartmentfor her.
So she can, feel like she has her own space and energy down there as well.

(04:14):
And anyway, we have just been talking about it all week.
saying how amazing the house we live in is and and that's been after so long of justfeeling like we don't like this house wish we could move this isn't really the kind of
place that we envisage staying for a long time but now it's like we have a new house andthat is like this opportunity to appreciate what we have we were missing

(04:41):
that opportunity to appreciate what was already there.
And the value that that's brought in just one week or what it's going to bring in thefuture already feels incredible.
And this can be the case in business, Where we're having a bit of a fraught relationshipwith our business.
Maybe we're feeling a bit stuck, we're feeling a bit stressed.

(05:04):
We're not stepping in to,
our innate talents or we're feeling like we're having to force ourselves into strategiesthat don't really light us up or clients that don't really excite us.
I know another one of my clients the other day was saying, that she really wanted to pivother business model because, she was over delivering essentially, She was like, I don't, I

(05:27):
don't want to be doing it this way and that way, you know, I don't want to
go into all the details of it, but, you know, she said, I just need your advice on this.
know you'll give me an answer straight away.
And I said, look, would you still want to have this drastic change if you weren't puttingin that much time and energy into those events?

(05:49):
if, if that was more enjoyable, would you still be wanting
that kind of pivot, that dramatic pivot that you've just told me about.
And then she went, well, I guess I wouldn't.
Yeah, I guess I've really been over delivering.
And, you know, she said there were lots of elements about this project that she really didenjoy and it could be enjoyable.
So just having a different perspective on what you have.

(06:14):
And where you can focus that energy is going to already give you so many more benefits andrewards and upside with what you already have.
It's not like you have to go and create something new.
Yes, there's, there can be some, work and energy and, focus and attention that needs to gothere to create some of this appreciation, That's maybe where a bit of the

(06:39):
the forced element, not that I love, you know, having to force us into anything really inbusiness, but sometimes there are some short term, pivots that can be created that are
going to create long term prosperity.
And I absolutely know that's happened in, in our home this week.
And don't get me wrong, I've been totally exhausted too, wanting to put my feet up aftermoving all this.

(07:02):
stuff around the house and we got removalists and to move things.
And anyway, I totally underestimated as I often do how much, how much effort these thingstake.
And, in hindsight, would I have done it had I realized probably not, but I'm glad that Ididn't realize because the benefits are already amazing.
So I'm absolutely thrilled with that as is my daughter and just

(07:23):
having that opportunity to appreciate what we already have.
We didn't have to move.
It's how much do you always think, right?
We need this, we need to acquire this.
this will be better when there's all this weight of expectation,
It's like this force that can pull us down without us even realizing an expectation for alaunch.

(07:43):
For example, I see this a lot with my clients where, you know, they want to create alaunch and just schedule that in and expect that it's going to do what it did before or do
more, like do sometimes five times more.
And I will often say, so what are you basing that expectation on?
It's like, well, it's good to have stretch goals.
it can sometimes be the response, which, is interesting, but it's great to have a bit ofdata in there too, Where we're not just expecting that something's going to happen because

(08:12):
it's happened before, or because we might be a little bit, frightened of the currentmarket environment.
And there can be
fear and frustration around changing markets and consumer patterns and behaviors andthings like that, Like that's part of the dynamic nature of being an entrepreneur and
being in business that we have to adjust.

(08:34):
And part of that adjusting will be appreciating what we have.
And that can be true in our relationships, whether it be, I know with my younger daughterwho I've always found
Oftentimes challenging growing up, But now it's, we've got a whole new relationship, whichis, is such a beautiful gift to me now.

(08:56):
And that connection has really, really grown.
And I just look at her and I'm
in awe of her gifts and what she brings and her nature and her genius and just being ableto appreciate that has been fantastic.
So what could you be detaching from in terms of your expectation right now?

(09:17):
What part of those expectations are stressing you out?
Like I said I know that expectation of
having a certain living environment or having everything some way or I'd have to acquiremore things to enjoy that.
But just detaching from that I know that for me it was like an expectation that I wasgonna need to move house to be really happy in my living environment.

(09:38):
Yet just by moving things around and looking at things differently and looking at whatalready exists and appreciating that opportunity.
can transform your results and your satisfaction and the possibilities and success movingforward.
So where could you be putting your attention and appreciating what is in your nature, whatis in your business, what is in

(10:04):
your reality right now that perhaps you're overlooking because of the weight ofexpectation.
So, be thinking about how could you improve what you already have, maybe in a shorterperiod of time that's going to give you more lasting results.
So another way to think about what could you appreciate in order to
have the opportunity for it to appreciate.

(10:25):
And generally we're going to want, it be either, our energy increasing or our salesincreasing or our results or goals or whatever it might be.
And maybe it is about having more time and more freedom in your business.
That could be a beautiful thing that you want to grow and increase

(10:47):
Part of that might be about focusing on the levels of freedom that you do have.
oftentimes when I felt like I didn't have the direction in my business or I was feelinglike burnt out it would feel like it was just closing in on me.
But if I really stepped back from it, I was still master of my own destiny.

(11:07):
I have my own business.
Is there any better, beautiful freedom than that?
And yes, it can be challenging.
Yes, at times it can be draining.
And we want to make sure that that is not the overall theme of your business, And part ofbeing able to really shine a light into what is working right now is looking at what you

(11:29):
could appreciate in order to create some of those returns and turn things around.
So
there will be some elements of freedom within your business.
And then what layer of expectation is keeping you from expanding that freedom?
I'm sure you'd no doubt be able to find some,
whether it be thinking that because something has been done a certain way, it has to bedone that way.

(11:54):
even though it completely depletes your energy, even though looking at it and putting someattention and energy there could probably illuminate another possibility for you.
So in the spirit of that this week, where could you perhaps.
shine a light and look at opportunities to create more from what already exists.

(12:15):
my long-time girlfriend of mine who I studied with at university offered to me one day shewas saying there's this concept of accretive relationships and I never really heard this
term before and in fact I
Googled it before I was like, that even a word?
I've never heard it since and I hadn't heard it before, but this term was so interestingbecause she was saying, if I want to meet someone and couple up with them and be with

(12:40):
them, then I want it to be in a accretive relationship.
want the two of us coming together to bring about more than just, you know, the twoseparate halves of ourselves,
I looked up the definition for a accretive relationship and it says.
An accretive relationship is one in which both parties grow, expand and become morethrough their connection where the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

(13:05):
So how could you have a more accretive relationship with your business?
sure, it'd be great to have that in a romantic relationship, but how could you also haveit in your business?
apparently the opposite of the accretive relationship is an extractive relationship, onewhich depletes or drains you or static relationships which maintain or there's like gate

(13:30):
16 in our human design, which is very much about inertia taking hold.
you haven't got that enthusiasm and that inspiration to, move ahead, you will stay stuck, inert, right?
So
Static relationships can happen in business as well.
So we want to like transform any draining or extractive relationships or staticrelationships with your business into an accretive relationship where you're able to

(13:57):
create ongoing momentum, generate new opportunities, foster some innovation and value fromwhat you already have and support sustainable growth.
where you are inspired, where you are energized, where you are getting amazing results.
You could also be thinking about accretive relationships with your clients or youraudience.
How could you be delivering more offers and opportunities that are mutually enriching andexpanding and energy multiplying instead of draining.

(14:26):
So
every interaction in our business creating more value than it consumes, whether that be interms of expense, like actual line items in your balance sheet, or your profit and loss,
or you know, the value in terms of the results that you're creating for your clients.
And that's timely right now for those of you who know about transits within human design.

(14:49):
At the moment, we're transiting through gate 52, which can be one of stillness, but one ofthe lower expressions of gate 52 is one of stress.
So if you have been feeling stressed particularly in relation to what's going on in theworld,
feeling a little fearful or uncertain, those things can bring about a lot of stress andthat can lead to rather than just, the craziness of feeling stressed and, trying to make a

(15:21):
thousand things happen at once.
The reverse can be true also, which is where we just feel really stuck.
And like I said before about that inertia.
So I know that that.
happen to me in business where I'm just like, well, I'd rather maybe just not move forwardwith that.
Let me just think on that for a bit longer, And you can dress it up as trying tostrategize or plan or create a better outcome, but generally, it will be rooted in

(15:49):
something that is from fear or reactivity.
pay attention to that too this week.
want to be...
moving forward, even if it's in small amounts, it doesn't have to drain your energy
If your intention is on the problems and breakdowns within your business or scarcitythinking has been saying that there isn't enough, that more is better, or that's just the

(16:12):
way it is right now, then that is where your energy is going to live.
And those thoughts and fears grow from the attention you give them.
And they can really just take over your results, your life, your mood, everything.
So no matter
what you do in your business, it's not going to be enough and you're not going to have thepeace of mind that you deserve.

(16:32):
So that is because.
you'll expand the presence and the power of that attention and that scarcity and it'sgoing to tighten its grip on your business.
So instead, where could you be creating some accretive business models or opportunities?
So for the generators, could that be in longer term client relationships?

(16:54):
How could you...
keep creating invitations for your clients to stay with you, you know, past the currentrelationship that you have, past the current term or past your current, delivery of offer.
What could be that next step and a manifesting generator with all the skills that youcreate.
I know I was speaking with, one of my other clients, another manifesting generator, theone who wanted to totally change.

(17:19):
Her business was manifesting generator too, but this manifesting generator, it's justpulled together a whole training out of nowhere.
And I was like, when did you get the time to do that?
And she just pulled it all together there and it was amazing.
bless you with those opportunities for creating accretive business models from what youalready have.
what offer could you create from the skills that you have for projectors out there?

(17:41):
Is there an opportunity for you to do higher level advisory or some more consulting fromwhat you know and how you beautifully guide people?
And my fellow manifestors, what's what's a new innovation you'd love to share or whatcould you be creating that could catalyze others right now?
and, appreciate your ideas right now and reflectors.

(18:05):
What could you offer to help others evaluate where they're at or evaluate an opportunity
value around finding the divine timing for your clients in whatever they're looking totransform.
in business so often we focus on those problem based assumptions.
And the way we can just spiral in that diagnosis and chase for solutions beyond our grasp, like we can be really grasping at opportunities, but if instead you can put your full

(18:34):
attention and appreciation on what's there, then you experience the bounty available rightin that moment.
Then you experience the value, the opportunity and the
Harvest available in that moment.
You don't have to sit and wait and fret for it or work harder for it You could with justsome pivots or some shorter term focus or just directing your energy there Get to harvest

(18:57):
it now.
and you get to experience More of that soul deep success, which is what we're looking forin business.
It's not just about the money It's not just about the metrics and ticking the boxes.
We want to
align with that greater purpose and
And not being able to appreciate the value that does exist that you could perhaps extract, magnify, or bring out with an accretive relationship between you and your business.

(19:23):
that's an opportunity to get back in alignment.
That's what your business can be when you think of it as an accretive relationship.
When you appreciate the opportunities, then you're going to see things appreciate,
you get to generate that vision and you call others to that experience too.
And in the context of creating soul deep success, every aspect of your life becomes anasset just because you have the ability to embrace it, learn from it and make something of

(19:54):
it.
What you appreciate and the way you direct your attention determines the quality of yourbusiness.
It determines the opportunities, the appreciation of your results,
The power of appreciation it's available to all of us anywhere and anytime.
So what could you appreciate this week?
Take it from me, just the opportunity to totally see something that was bringing you downor draining you or you perceived to be a problem as an absolute gift is.

(20:23):
of the best things you can do right now.
I'll talk to you next time.
