that matter most to entrepreneurs.
Listen in as we discuss the secrets to
getting credit and money to start and grow
your business.
And enjoy as we talk with seasoned business
owners, coaches, and industry leaders on a variety

(00:22):
of topics from advertising and marketing to the
nuts and bolts of running a highly successful
business.
And now, to introduce the host of our
show, financial expert and award-winning author, Ty
Crandall.
Hello, and thanks for joining us today.
I'm super excited that you could be here
because today we're really talking about the power
of celebrity.

(00:43):
And we're talking about this power of celebrity
entrepreneurship and using this to be able to
build your brand.
Look, I think that anybody could build a
seven or eight figure business if you do
like two things.
You have to have regular traffic.
The other thing is you really need to
be building your personal brand.
The more you are building your brand, the
more people are coming to you and wanting
to do business with you.
And the less you are chasing them.

(01:03):
But you have to know how to do
this.
And I have like legitimately the foremost expert
on this topic with us today.
So with us is Clint Arthur.
Now he's a provocative, truth-telling serial entrepreneur,
best-selling author of 21 books.
Got that, that's 21 books.
21 books, and I might be counting, having
that backwards, whichever way it needs to be.
And a trusted marketing advisor who has impacted

(01:23):
thousands of business owners worldwide.
His acclaimed works include celebrity entrepreneurship, breakthrough your
upper limits on TV, and his Pulitzer Prize
nominated masterpiece, Wisdom of the Men.
So with a reputation for helping entrepreneurs break
through barriers and achieve extraordinary success, Clint has
guided businesses of all sizes from startups to

(01:44):
multi-billion dollar enterprises by sharing his unique
strategies for business growth and personal transformation.
Now as a sought-after consultant and coach,
Clint also influences over 100,000 independent business
owners each year through his social media platforms,
live events, coaching programs, and his million-dollar
business accelerator, Mastermind.

(02:04):
His clients range from entrepreneurs running businesses valued
at one million bucks to those leading companies
worth one billion dollars, all benefiting from his
expertise in scaling, marketing, and leadership.
Now check this out.
Clint also is a prominent speaker who has
shared the stage with some of the world's
most influential figures.
I mean, we're talking about Martha Stewart.
Everybody gotta love, you gotta love Martha Stewart,

(02:26):
especially since she hangs out with Snoop Dogg
now.
I am such a fan of theirs.
Dr. Oz, Suzanne Somers, Caitlyn Jenner, Ice-T,
and five, count that, that's five U.S.
presidents.
He's spoken at prestigious venues such as Harvard,
Oxford, the NASDAQ, and the Royal Society of
Medicine, as well as corporate giants like Coca
-Cola, Microsoft, and AT&T.

(02:46):
Clint splits his time between New York City
and L.A. and Acapulco, and where he
lives with his wife, Allie, and their beloved
billion-preso puppy, Nova.
Clint, wow, you've done some really cool things.
Thanks for joining us today.
Hey, great to be with you.
And that bio right there is an excellent
piece of marketing.
You see, most bios are just kind of

(03:08):
like fluff, or BS, or boring.
But when you were reading that bio, I'm
like, yep, that sounds good.
And yep, that sounds good.
And yep, that sounds good.
And I constructed that bio with my life,
with my life experiences, with the business experiences
that I've done.
And the purpose of a bio is to
get the person to wanna be interested enough

(03:30):
to watch the interview, or to watch the
speaker, or whatever you are.
And I think when a person hears that
bio that you just read, they'd be dumb
not to wanna hear what this person has
to say.
So I think that's good.
So thank you for reading.
You're teaching before we even start the interview,
which is great.
And to your point, like I even said

(03:50):
before we start this, I said, look, I
usually cut sections out of a bio, but
like there's nothing I can even eliminate here
because it's all such good stuff.
And I never say that.
So you killed it.
That is a wonderful marketing work of art,
let me say.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
I really appreciate that.
When we talk about celebrity entrepreneurship, like, and
this is something you referenced a lot, what

(04:11):
does that phrase mean?
Okay, people don't understand celebrity because people only
know George Clooney, and Oprah Winfrey, and Robin
Williams, and Beckham, and Gangnam Style.
These are celebrities.
These are real famous people that everybody recognizes.
Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley.

(04:34):
These are real giant celebrities.
And that's not what I'm talking about.
What I'm talking about is using celebrity as
a marketing tool for you, if you are
an author, a speaker, a coach, a consultant,
an advisor, an entrepreneur, an expert of any
kind.
If you appear to be a celebrity in
the eyes of your clients and prospects, like

(04:56):
for example, if you think of Tony Robbins,
people who love Tony Robbins have usually paid
Tony Robbins a lot of money, and they
think he's famous.
He's not famous.
Tony Robbins is a celebrity entrepreneur.
He's an entrepreneur who uses celebrity marketing techniques.
And there are five and one half of
those techniques that I use, and that I

(05:17):
have packaged into my philosophy of celebrity entrepreneurship,
for which I have a trademark.
Celebrity entrepreneur is my registered trademark.
And I have written the book, Celebrity Entrepreneurship.
And in this episode, we're gonna talk through
the five and a half things that make
you a celebrity in the eyes of your
clients and prospects, and how everyone can do

(05:38):
that inexpensively or with my help, either one.
All right, so let's start with the half,
because you have to be curious about the
five and a half.
The half is dangerous.
The half is really dangerous, because I got
this one female client, and all she does
is the half.
You go on her Facebook, and first she
has a picture of herself speaking at the

(06:01):
Harvard Club of Boston at one of my
events, okay?
And that is her, it's either her profile
photo or her cover photo of her Facebook
profile.
That's good.
That's not the half.
The rest of her Facebook profile is just
pictures of her in beautiful dresses, in exotic
locations, on a beach, or at a fancy

(06:22):
restaurant, or at some tourist site like the
Louvre Museum or something like that, doing all
these celebrity lifestyle activities.
And the lifestyle is good, but if that's
all you have, it makes you look like
you're the wife of a rich guy or

(06:43):
a trust fund baby, but it doesn't give
you the authority of being an expert at
a topic.
It doesn't make you seem like you're a
celebrity expert, that you're a celebrity entrepreneur, that
you're a person who's working and making money
from what you know, which is what you
really want.
What you want your prospect to think is

(07:03):
that, oh, this is the person who knows
everything about my challenge, my problem, and I'm
gonna hire them because they're a celebrity and
they must be the best because if they
weren't the best, they wouldn't be such a
celebrity about knowing everything about what I need
them to know.
See?
And if all you have is the lifestyle

(07:25):
aspects of it, then that undermines the entire
positioning that you wanna be creating in the
eyes of your clients and prospects.
That's the half.
So when you dive in, and if you
don't mind, can you start breaking down the
other five of the formula?
Yeah.
So the first thing I said she had
was a picture of herself speaking at the

(07:47):
podium at the Harvard Club of Boston.
And it says right on the podium, Harvard
Club of Boston.
This is something that I invented called VIP
speaking, speaking at a very important place.
And all celebrity entrepreneurs do this.
See, when I was growing up, I always
wanted to be special.
And I was reading a novel and I

(08:09):
read about this guy who went to some
fabulous business school called the Wharton Business School.
And that propelled him into a career of
being an international successful business guru.
And I wanted to be special like that.
I thought if I could go to the
Wharton Business School, maybe I could be so
special that my parents would even start arguing.

(08:31):
I don't know if your parents argued when
you were growing up, but with us, it
was like, when weren't they arguing?
And when I was 14, I made up
my mind, I'm going to the Wharton Business
School because it was a real place.
And I did.
I went to Wharton Business School.
I graduated with a 4.0 GPA in
entrepreneurship.
And then I went home to get the
Atta boys.

(08:51):
And what happens?
Was it a love fest?
No, my parents got into the hugest argument
of all time.
My dad storms out of the house and
slams the apartment door.
I'm sitting on the couch like I've done
a million times next to my mom.
And I go, you know, mom, the way
he resents you all these years, have you
been cheating on dad?
And I'm thinking to myself, what?
Where did that question come from?
I never even thought that question before.

(09:12):
And then I'm thinking, wow, that was really
rude.
How did I get to be so rude
to ask my own mom a question like
that?
And then I'm thinking, why isn't she answering
the question?
And then she takes a pause and I
could see this vein in the side of
her neck goes, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
He's not your real father.
Your real father was a doctor at the

(09:33):
fertility clinic we went to for six years
trying to have you.
And he looked just like that guy.
Say what?
Now, not only didn't I know who I
was anymore, I sure as heck didn't know
what I wanted to be when I grew
up anymore.
So the next day was a Monday and
I called up the investment bank on the
87th floor of number one World Trade Center.
I got the vice president on the phone.

(09:54):
I said, sir, I appreciate the offer, but
I've decided I don't wanna be an investment
banker anymore.
And what did I do?
Naturally, I ran off to Hollywood and I
started going on auditions, writing screenplays.
And that took me a lot of years.
And that takes us through to like December
31st, 1999.

(10:15):
Were you at an ATM getting Y2K cash
or were you partying with family and friends?
I was behind the wheel of yellow cab
number 6087 and I was driving some kids
to a party.
I'm listening to their conversation.
Turns out they're MBA interns at Goldman Sachs.
And one of them goes, hey man, did
you hear about Mr. Carrera?
They made him the last partner right before

(10:37):
the Goldman IPO and he cashed out a
gazillion dollars.
And I'm like, are you talking about Chris
Carrera?
How do you know Mr. Carrera?
Chris Carrera was a pledge in my fraternity
at the Wharton Business School.
And when I was a pledge master, I
used to make those little punks dance around
the living room of the house with their
tighty whities on top of their heads.
And now this little punk just cashed out
a gazillion bucks.

(10:57):
I go home to my little boat.
I'm living on in Marina Del Rey at
like six o'clock in the morning.
Living on a boat in LA is the
cheapest way to survive.
It was $282 a month, all in, including
parking.
But there was no heat, no running water,
no electricity on the boat.
I'm like freezing under a blanket, counting my
money.
$513, driving a cab on New Year's Eve

(11:20):
in the millennium.
Where was Chris Carrera at night?
Partying at the Rainbow Room?
I was supposed to be somebody special.
And that was the night I said, I
can't do this anymore.
13 years chasing a dream that never is
gonna happen.
I gotta stop and try to save my
life, try to pull myself out of this

(11:41):
ditch.
And I swore an oath that I was
never gonna write again, that I was going
to just try to have a normal life.
And that's what I did.
Now, what I've been doing here is telling
you stories from my life.
And that's all part of that first part
of what makes a celebrity entrepreneur is knowing
your stories and telling your stories at very

(12:03):
important places.
Now, that girl that I was talking about,
she told it at the Harvard Club of
Boston.
And I've had the great privilege of sharing
my message at NASDAQ and at the London
Stock Exchange and at all those corporations.
And this is a key element of being
a celebrity entrepreneur is telling your stories in

(12:26):
very important places.
And why?
Because what I have learned over the course
of hosting all these events that I have,
like one time this guy, I saw his
name on the list and he was scheduled
to be a speaker at this conference I
was hosting.
And I called his name and I'm thinking
to myself, who the heck is this guy?
How come I don't know this guy?

(12:46):
I know everybody at my events.
Martha Stewart, when she was a speaker at
my event at Carnegie Hall, she's like, wow,
Clint, we were doing the VIP photos.
I'm like, come on, Mary, come on, Joe.
She's like, wow, you know every single person's
name.
Yeah, I do, I know everybody's name because
usually I've sold them the ticket or I
have created their story with them.

(13:06):
And what I have realized is this guy
goes up and he starts telling his story
and I didn't create that story with him.
And what I realized is if the prospect
does not know your story, they do not
know you.
You're just a number, you're a vendor number
on a list of vendor numbers.
And that's the worst positioning you can have.

(13:27):
You've gotta be a person.
And when people know your story, then they
know who you are, who you are.
That's so important.
So the first part of being a celebrity
entrepreneur is speaking at very important places.
Yeah, it makes a lot of sense because
people do business with people they like versus
businesses they like, I think is what we

(13:48):
hear quite a bit.
So that makes a ton of sense.
How do you get those opportunities though?
Like I know you've helped my friends.
Like I know one of my buddies, Rondy
Lambeth, I know you've done and got him
into some really cool places to speak.
So obviously working with you is a major
shortcut to be able to get to some
really cool places.
But outside of that, like how does somebody
even get to a point where they have

(14:09):
an opportunity to speak at these kinds of
places?
That's a really great question.
And I don't know the answer for that.
And that's why I invented my mentorship that
I do, where I work with people who
are authors and speakers and coaches and entrepreneurs
of whatever kind, if you're an expert or
you.
And now a quick break to hear from
our sponsor.
Hey, it's Ty Crandall with Credit Suite.

(14:30):

That's 877-600-2487, or schedule your free

(14:52):
consultation online to talk more at creditsuite.com
forward slash consult.
You wanna be seen as a celebrity, then
I become your mentor.
And as your mentor, I hook you up
with opportunities to speak at very important places.
And that's why I've been so successful.
That's why I've made millions of dollars because
I don't know any other way for you

(15:13):
to do that.
I really don't.
Usually when you speak at an event, you
are speaking at a Marriott.
And if it doesn't have a Marriott podium,
it has a podium that says Joe Smith's
conference or whatever the name of the conference
host is.
And you're promoting that guy and you won't
get a video and the photos you get

(15:34):
will suck.
But I have really specialized in how do
you get presented to the world as a
high status expert, a VIP speaker with photos
and videos and an audience and a great
audience of high net worth people.
And that's the way I have made this
all happen.
And how do you do that besides me?

(15:54):
Well, the only way I know of to
do that besides me is if you are
a vice president at IBM or Google or
some other major corporation and you get invited
to speak at some big deal conference that
that company is hosting, but you're never gonna
get those opportunities.

(16:16):
If you're watching this video, that's not the
track that you're on.
So how are you gonna do it other
than me?
I don't know.
So outside of speaking at very important places
and being able to tell your stories at
very important places, what's another part of this
five and a half piece celebrity for you?
The second key thing is going on TV

(16:36):
because everybody knows celebrities go on TV.
And what we're trying to do is we're
trying to position ourselves like celebrities.
We are trying to do the things that
celebrities do.
And like, for example, you know how you
get to speak at Harvard?
You're Oprah and you get invited to give
the commencement at Harvard.
See, that's how you get to do that.

(16:57):
But you and I are never gonna get
that.
And likewise, when you go on TV, how
do you get to go on TV?
Well, if you're James Comey and you have
your book, A Higher Calling, or A Higher
Honor, or whatever the hell the name of
his book was, or you're Hillary Clinton and
you have your book, What Happened?
Then you get invited on CBS Evening News

(17:17):
and they do a profile on you and
your book.
But that's not gonna happen for you and
me.
That very rarely happens.
I did have a client of mine who
did about her 200th television appearance and she
was just interviewed on the Tamron Hall Show,
which is a big, big, big nationally syndicated
show.
And they did a whole 10-minute segment
on her because they were doing a whole

(17:39):
show on happiness and she's a happiness coach.
But she did exactly what I taught her
how to do.
She came to my Celebrity Launchpad TV publicity
training and implementation event and I taught her
how to create a segment.
I taught her how to pitch and I
created her a pitch and I created her
a segment and I introduced her to my
friends who are TV news and talk show

(18:01):
producers at local ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox
TV news and talk shows.
And most people don't know the difference between
local TV and national TV.
And my philosophy was, when I started this
whole thing out in 2011, when I started
teaching TV, that if you did enough local
TV, you could work your way up to

(18:21):
national TV.
And that has proven itself time and time
again.
I've had five people on the Today Show,
I've had five people on Good Morning America,
I've had people on every show, I've had
people become recurring regular guests on Dr. Oz
who were paid to go on that show.
And the truth of it is, is that
you need to pay your dues in the

(18:42):
TV business by being an expert on local
TV news and talk shows all around the
country.
And then you can work your way up.
Somehow they're gonna hear about you and invite
you on to a big national show like
what happened to Danny DeNovo with Tamron Hall.
They just called her out of the blue.
They said, hey, we've watched me and the
other producer, we're watching an hour and a

(19:04):
half of your appearances on different shows around
the country, and we want you on the
Tamron Hall show.
So that's the second way to position yourself
as a celebrity.
The second of five and a half ways
is to go on TV.
And then the third way is my favorite
way.
And that is by being in photos and
videos and talking to and getting to know

(19:26):
major celebrities.
And celebrities can be stars like Dr. Oz
or Martha Stewart or Snoop, or they could
be politicians.
Specifically, any president of the United States is
a celebrity.
And I've had the great privilege to meet
and work with five presidents of the United
States.

(19:47):
And you know, like Jimmy Carter.
Jimmy Carter was so inspirational because his message
for me and my friends who I brought
to meet him that day was, look, maybe
you don't like the life that you've created
for yourself.
Maybe you would like a different life.
Maybe you'd like to be better.

(20:09):
Well, the good news is, is that you
can start being the best version of yourself
today.
And I thought that was a beautiful message.
And this is an example of celebrity storytelling.
I've told several celebrity stories already.
And this is a clear example of having,
go online, type in Clint Arthur and Jimmy
Carter, you'll see the picture.

(20:30):
And when you type in Clint Arthur and
you look at the Google image results, you'll
see I dominate that search.
And it's not as if I have an
uncommon name.
When you go on Facebook and you type
in the name Clint Arthur, 100 results will
come up.
100 guys on Facebook have my name.

(20:50):
But when you go on Google, it seems
like I'm the only one.
And that's part of what happens when you're
effectively doing celebrity entrepreneurship is that you begin
to dominate Google searches for your name.
And that is a very powerful thing.
That's exactly what you want.
When people are thinking about working with you,
hiring you, giving you money, they're gonna Google

(21:12):
you and you wanna dominate that search.
So that's the third thing.
The fourth thing is to write bestselling books.
You mentioned that I have Pulitzer-nominated Wisdom
of the Men.
That was one of my, I think that
was my 21st bestselling book.
Bestselling books are the fourth element.
And then the fifth element is winning awards.
And I know we're like coming to the

(21:33):
end of this interview.
So I'm gonna have to keep it short
on that one.
But I make it possible for my mentees
to do all of these things.
And the fifth and a half thing, that
last half thing, we host a lot of
events down here in Acapulco where my little
Nova, the billion peso puppy lives now all
the time here in Acapulco.

(21:54):
And that's a great place to get the
celebrity lifestyle photos that are very unusual because
Acapulco is a very unusually beautiful place.
How's that?
It's fantastic.
And I appreciate you rapid fire walking through
the five and a half.
I'm curious, do you ever hear from the
other Clint Arthurs?
No, like the first, there's one guy, the

(22:17):
first guy who makes an appearance on the
Google results was a guy named Clint Arthur
who died and it's his obituary.
And it just shows you how powerful the
marketing is.
Like when you think of Grant Cardone, he's
another celebrity entrepreneur.
Now, when you think of Grant Cardone, he's
so powerful in his marketing that a lot

(22:37):
of people decide they don't wanna compete with
Grant Cardone.
He's just so firmly entrenched in his niche
that you cannot compete with Grant Cardone.
And with Clint Arthur, you literally have to
die to make it into the Google results
for the name Clint Arthur because my marketing
with celebrity entrepreneurship is so strong.
Why would you say the others should give

(22:58):
you an Atta boy?
That's why I was asking.
I think they should give you like, hey,
good job, good job representing me, appreciate it.
Well, I'm representing me, but I'm shutting them
out.
My competition is so strong.
If you're somebody, like for example, one of
my clients had a very tough job.
His name was the exact same name as

(23:19):
a gay porn star.
And he had to compete against that on
Google.
And that's a very tough piece of competition.
And that's, unfortunately, when you have the same
name as me and you're trying to be
somebody, when you're trying to, like you wanna
go on a date with a girl or
you have a customer who's thinking about hiring
you.
Well, you're not showing up in Google if

(23:41):
you're Clint Arthur, unless you're me.
And that really takes away a lot of
opportunities for the other Clint Arthurs.
They're not gonna give me an Atta boy.
They're gonna be like, man, you are ruining
it for me.
It seems like you're the only one.
It's a lucky thing, Clint.
You're not a gay porn star.
So if you're accomplishing this and you're doing
this formula right, like what are the benefits
of becoming a celebrity entrepreneur when it comes

(24:03):
to actually being able to start, grow and
scale a business?
This is all about having more impact, influence
and income, all right?
Now in today's day and age, people, I
believe you should only have high net worth
clientele and people who are high net worth,
they only wanna work with people who are
exciting for them.
Like if you're a high net worth person,

(24:25):
you know what you want, you know what
you need and you're not gonna get off
the credit card and hand it over unless
that expert that you're gonna hire is exciting
for you.
You wanna be able to say, hey, I
am working with this celebrity expert.
You want your doctor to be not just
Joe Schmo, you want your doctor to be
Dr. Oz.

(24:45):
You want your coach to be Tony Robbins.
You want to have that extra value that
is brought to the table by working with
celebrities.
Now, let me give you an example.
I posted, I had two tickets to see
the Rolling Stones at the Rose Bowl in
California and I couldn't use the tickets because

(25:08):
I had another speaking engagement that I had
to be on.
So I posted the tickets on my Facebook
page and I said, hey, who wants these
two Rolling Stones orchestra tickets for face value?
And two people stepped up.
One of them was a realtor who's a
friend of mine and the other one was
Suzanne Somers.
Who do you think I sold the tickets
to?
Suzanne.
Obviously, why?
Because I got more out of that transaction

(25:30):
than just the money.
I got a great story.
And you think that's only unique to me
and my Rolling Stones tickets?
You would happen to be wrong.
It is the same thing for every single
person.
Everyone wants to say, hey, my expert that
I'm paying a lot of money to is
a celebrity.

(25:50):
And they want to use that to impress
their friends and feel special and feel like
they're doing better than everybody else.
And if you're not creating that sense of
celebrity in your marketing for your customers and
prospects or your clients, then you are missing
out on a huge opportunity to have more
impact, influence and income, to get paid more,

(26:12):
to work less, to get the clients you
really want and to get the big fees
that you really deserve.
That's what it's really all about.
But exceptional job today.
Where can everybody go that's watching this that
wants to learn more about becoming a celebrity
entrepreneur and being able to master these five
and a half principles to get there?
What should they do?
Where should they go next?
You can see my name is Clint with

(26:33):
3Ts.com, right?
I don't put my regular name.
I just put my website, clintwith3ts.com.
And why is it 3Ts?
Because one of the experts I worked with
was this woman who invented the science of
namology.
What does your name mean?
And she said to me, Clint, I wish
you had an extra T at the end
of your name because the Ts always end

(26:53):
up on top like Trump.
And I said, wow, that's interesting.
And I tried to get clintwith2ts.com, but
that wasn't available.
But I did get clintwith3ts.com.
And that is the place to go.
There's a button at the bottom of the
page.
It says, make me a celebrity entrepreneur.
Fill that out, apply for mentorship.

(27:14):
And if it seems like you're a good
fit, I'll be talking to you soon.
But thanks for coming on with us today.
So make sure you go to clint.com.
Let me give you an idea why.
I'm just gonna give you one of the
first quotes I see here.
Quote, life's too short to smoke cheap weed.
Now, I'm not gonna tell you who said
that quote.
I'm not gonna tell you.
But if you want to know who said
that, then you need to go to clint
.com, C-L-I-N-T-T-T

(27:36):
.com.
And you're gonna get abundance of different cool
things there.
And being able to see that Clint really
practices what he preaches.
You're able to see a lot of different
stories, learn a lot about exactly what Clint
has to offer.
And again, you'll be able to come in
on the bottom of the page, take one
minute to be able to follow him on
social because you'll be able to see he
lives what he preaches, right?
And then you'll be able to actually see

(27:57):
how this applies and how he's building a
following and how he's building a tribe of
their own celebrities that are following and how
he's doing this to be able to expose
business the same as you can too.
So how do you do it?
Go to clint.com, C-L-I-N
-T-T-T.com.
To be able to learn more about what
he's doing and to be able to get
in line so you can jump in and
start mastering these five and a half principles

(28:18):
to become a celebrity entrepreneur.
So don't forget to go to clint.com,
C-L-I-N-T-T-T.com.
Go to the bottom and make sure that
you subscribe while you're there.
And you can also be able to fill
out some information to talk to Clint and
his team as well.
Thank you very much for tuning in.
Take care.
Have a great day.
