Interview w/ Folk Rocker Rachel Hickey | her track "High" & facing expectations

We're thrilled to welcome Rachel Hickey to INRYHTHM this week. Featuring unforgettable moonlight-soaked vocals and captivating storytelling, Rachel's music is a unique mix of guitar-focused folk rock, indie, and pop. Her new single "High" explores the identity and personality of what it means to be a self-described "recovering people pleaser". Starting with a delicate acoustic sound, it swells to a grand atmospheric track with driving drum grooves and enveloping harmonies. In this musical journey, Rachel captivates listeners with storytelling and descriptive imagery while she explores the often-overlooked question of "who am I and what do I want?"

 

She is currently touring Ontario, and is preparing to release her debut full-length album, "The Eve of St. Agnes", this June.
