It's an old story, boy meets inanimate object, boy kisses inanimate object (as you do), inanimate object becomes a real girl who falls in love with the weirdo who kisses inanimate objects. This week Ava Gardner comes to life in One Touch of Venus (1948) and we compare it to the 80s interpretation of the story with Kim Cattrall awakening in Mannequin (1987). Its all plaster and plastic this week on Invasion of the Remake.

Santa's sleigh is stuck in the sand on a beach in Florida. What will Santa do? Dig himself out or tell stories? It's the second one. But it does have a cool title and for the first time ever Invasion of the Remake goes back to the drawing board for a page one rewrite on one of the worst Christmas films ever made.
