He informs us that the enemy sees the potential in us and would want to stop us before we can find comfort, which is why God warns that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

Joseph references Exodus 1:8 to illustrate how we tend to disrespect or disregard things when we are not abreast of their foundation or how they came about. However, when we get into God’s presence and are continually aware of God’s goodness in our lives, we rise above the difficulties and challenges because God’s word assures that through faith and patience, we inherit the promises of God. He urges us to go beyond receiving Christ to being sons and daughters of God Almighty.
Joseph stresses the need to cultivate an encounter with God to begin to answer the fight inside, and when we do, we begin to have the peace that passes all understanding. To experience the peace that passes all understanding, he urges us to immerse ourselves in God's word, spend time with God through prayer, and fellowship with God. Again, he makes us realize that only God can truly answer the fight inside, and to encounter God, we must be exposed to His presence and His people.
