Først fortæller jeg om Lauretta Bender, børnepsykiateren der i 1940’ernes USA eksperimenterede med elektrochok og LSD-behandlinger — behandlinger som fik alvorlige konsekvenser.
Dernæst ser jeg nærmere på sagen om Michael Swango — den amerikanske læge og tidligere marineinfanterist, som menes at have dræbt op mod 60 patienter og kolleger.
Et afsnit om medicinske mord, misbrug af tillid — og hvor galt det kan gå, når læger bliver drevet af helt andre motiver end ønsket om at hjælpe.
