Beverly Hills Cop, from 1984 and starring Eddie Murphy, became an 80s phemonenon and continued the comedian skyrocket to total domination. Part action, part comedy, part buddy cop film and throw in a fish out of water theme - and you have a really fun romp where it's impossible not to laugh at the stuff that Axel Foley gets into, nevermind all the voices and characters he pulls out of his Detroit cop butt. We have actually never seen this movie and are sort of mad we never seemed to stumbled onto it on TV or anything in our 36 and 40 years of life because it's damn funny! We talk about Eddie Murphy's laugh, ponder about what really happens if you put a banana in someone's exhaust pipe, and cry about how there is legit one woman in this movie. What gives?!
