Welcome to Medsplaining! I’m your host, Dr. Jennifer Zelovitzky.
Today I’m joined by a very special guest, Lauren McPhillips.
She’s here to tell us about how a check-up at the dermatologist for psoriasis led to the discovery of basal cell carcinoma—a type of non-melanoma skin cancer. Non-melanoma skin cancer is actually one of the most common cancers affecting women in Canada.
Today, she’s here to tell us about her experience with skin cancer, and how preventative treatment saved her life.
