Sarah Humphreys, Morgan James’ youngest author, gives helpful tips on keeping organized when writing a novel.
At sixteen years old, Sarah pitched and landed her first book deal for a YA dystopian fantasy titled Stone Cold. When writing fiction, keeping details and backstory details straight can prove challenging. The best way to keep it all straight is with a master document. Google doc is a great resource. It can serve as a go-to for any character, location, or worldbuilding block.
If you want to succeed as a fiction author, surround yourself with other writers who challenge you. Engaging with like-minded individuals is the fastest way to get where you want to go. Find a support system, get advice and work to grow as a writer.
