Earwig and the witch is Studio Ghibli's first attempt at a fully CG animated movie and it's not terrible. Based off the book of the same name Earwig is a story about a young girl being adopted by a magical household but instead of fun adventures her life is turned upside down as she is made to be the assistant to a petty spells peddling witch.
It's not what I expected but it's an interesting little movie based on a book by the author of Howl's Moving Castle an earlier Ghibli classic. You can currently watch Earwig and the with on HBOMax.
