009: Centipede Bites Hurt

Welcome back to News with Bill, the podcast where strange news gets stranger, and reality is often way weirder than fiction. In this episode, “Centipede Bites Hurt!,” I’ve got a truly jaw-dropping collection of bizarre, creepy, and wildly absurd stories from around the world—stuff you can’t make up, even if you tried.

We start off with the twisted tale of Zhang Yongming, a convicted murderer who somehow got released and went on to kill at least 11 more victims—all while selling their dried flesh as “ostrich meat” to unsuspecting villagers in China. Then we head to Turkey, where a drunk man joined a search party looking for himself. Yes, he was literally helping hunt down the “missing man”… not realizing it was him.

There’s also the tragic and disturbing story of a woman who died after undergoing a backyard butt lift in California, performed by a mother-daughter duo posing as plastic surgeons. In Taiwan, a man earned an insurance payout after a centipede bit him in a very unfortunate place—his nether regions—while he slept.

If that’s not enough, I break down a wild string of stories that include a naked Tennessee woman fleeing a burning car in a mask and tail, high school students forced to ride a party bus with a stripper pole due to a bus shortage, and a man who robbed the same California bank twice… in three days.

We’ve also got a New Jersey serial killer finally sentenced to 160 years, a psychic sued for not removing a “curse,” a man found with a stomach full of nails and screws, and a “Pizza Roll Pooper” who left a nasty surprise in an Oklahoma grocery store. Plus, I cover the guy who staged his fiancée’s body at Walmart and another who attacked someone with the letter G from a courthouse sign.
