Ike Reilly is a musician, bard, traveling minstrel, and truth teller from Libertyville, IL. His mien is as much Carl Sandburg and Studs Terkel as it is Willie Nile and Chuck Prophet.
His music both "solo" and with "The Ike Reilly Assassination" is a combination of wry wit, observation and a punk rock ethos bequeathed to him by his hero Joe Strummer of The Clash.
We can't thank Ike enough for coming on the show - he's a real mensch, and this episode premiering one week after we welcomed the former Governor of Alabama really exemplifies what we want the show to be about - powerful stories about real people from diverse walks of life, No Cap.
His new album Because The Angels drops in digital and on vinyl later this fall. The singles "Racquel Blue" and "Trick of the Light" are up at Spotify or wherever you stream music.
He performs regularly with his Family Band on The Ike Reilly Quarantine Hour and is on tour throughout the Midwest this fall.
