We’re all a little broken—but we’re still called to be kind, and to feel joy again.
In this episode, Ryan Reichert and Lisa Sander sit down with Nina Lorene for a powerful conversation on self-acceptance, healing, and honoring the transformation journey God has us on.
Nina shares her story of being a woman in the army, walking through deep pain, and learning how to find healing in the body, mind, and soul. Together, they talk about how we often become our own worst enemy, why it’s okay to use the “fancy napkins,” and how having reverence in the everyday can bring us back to life.

Nina Lorene is originally from Lawrence, Kansas and moved to Florida in 1998 while in college when her family relocated to Bradenton, Florida. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tampa with a B.S. in Finance. In 2001, she was commissioned into the U.S. Army as a Distinguished Military Graduate (top 20%) and served as a Finance Officer for just over 7 years, serving overseas in South Korea and completing a Combat tour in Iraq. She honorably ended her term of service in 2008, after experiencing full-body pain for quite some time. She knew medication wasn’t the answer and began her journey to heal and assist others as a result. Nina feels her purpose in this life is as a guide and messenger, empowering others to align within and to our Creator. She refers to herself as a Self Healing Empowerment Guide. She draws from her experiences, intuition, education and training, and connection to Christ-Consciousness to be an open channel and assist others in remembering who they truly are.
