Hey, guys, I just talkedto somebody who was a cousin or some
sort of a relationship with Joe Binanoand asked me a few questions. Brought
up the story and the history ofJoe Binano. I thought you guys might

be interested in this story. Firstof all, Joe Binano was around before
my time. I was a kid. I saw him and enabled a few
times. I got the story fromTato. Originally, Joe Binano and Magadino,

another boss, did some sort ofconspiracy to take out a boss or
two and take over everything. Theygot caught up in their little plot and
a contract came out to kill them. Joe Binano went on the lamb years

ago. It came out he wason the lamb from the police, and
but he wasn't. He was onthe lamb from the mafia about being killed.
His son, Salvage Torbinano, stayedaround. He was the gonziera of
the family at that time. Hereally wasn't well liked. He had a
terrible attitude towards people, and hewound up getting shot while Joe Binano was

on the lamb. They tried tokill him. He survived the shooting and
Joe Binano came back off the Lamband went to a commission meeting. In
the commission meeting, he was toldthat he would get a pass on his

plot, his plans, but hewould have to get out of New York
and take his son with him.So Joe Banano agreed and left with his
son. He was a pretty goodguy. The guys around him liked him,
a couple of made guys, andthey actually left with him and they

went down to Tucson, Arizona.He had a lot of money, bought
some cotton farms, some dairy cowfarms, a whole bunch of things,
and he lived his life out inexile in Arizona. Years later, when

I got out of prison in nineteenninety six and I came to Arizona to
live, Joe Bonano found out thatI came down, and he was sitting
in a meeting with his son andanother guy who was a ci A confidential

informant. The guy was wired.The FBI was listening in him to this
conversation and he was telling his son, Sammy de Boat is in the Phoenix
area of Arizona. He came outof prison and he's here now. Make

an appointment for me with him,and his son said, why do you
want to meet with him? Ineed to make sure that he doesn't have
in his mind that he'd come hereand take over Arizona. His son said

(04:00):
that he's not gonna do that.It's a fucking rady. Ain't gonna do
shit. Joe told his son,you never want to grow up, you
never want to learn. I don'tcare what he did. This guy's a
serious dude. He's a killer.If he wants to take over Arizona,

some of us are gonna wind upat the trunk of a fucking car.
That's how he'll take over Arizona.While this is being said, the informant
is sitting with them, and ina matter of hours, I guess the
FBI knows this conversation. He bypasseshis son and he sends somebody, one

of his close people to talk tome. He came down this guy and
said, Joe would like to meetwith you, Joe Bonano, And he
basically tells me why so I said, listen, it would be my pleasure

to meet with him. I havenothing but respect for the old man,
and I would meet with him,but it would have to be on my
turf, but there's no meeting that'snecessary. I have no intentions of taking
over Arizona. I have no intentionsof hurting him or his family. The

only interest I have is me andmy family. That's the only way I
would react. But if he wantsto meet with me, I'm willing.
The guy says, okay, I'llcome back to you, and he left.

(05:58):
He did get back to me,and he told me Joe appreciates your
message and that you're showing respect forhim, and there's no meaning that's necessary
if that's the way you feel,and heads an never problem with it.

He said, you also mentioned thatyou will concerned with you and your family.
Well, he wants you to knowif there is a problem, anybody
gives you a problem, you oryour family, send him a message and
he'll help you. I said,thank you. Tell him thank you,

(06:43):
thank you very much. And Ifeel the same exact way. If he
ever needs me for anything, giveme a hollow. I never did meet
with Joe Bananho, but I didget a message from the FBI. I
got a call and they told me, Sammy, you were going to meet

with Joe Banano. I said,yes, I was why, and how
do you know? And this iswhen they told me. Somebody was sitting
at the table. They told mewhat was said. So I said,
well, I have no intentions oftaken over Arizona. Just like I told

him. They have nothing to worryabout with me. I have nothing to
worry about with them. So whateveryou heard, whatever this guy told you,
it's basically all bullshit, we corresponded, if he wanted to talk to
me, I'm out of prison.I was willing to talk with him.

Is that a violation of anything,Well, it could be a violation if
you met with him and role,he said, But no, no,
we now know your thoughts, weknow what happened. Let's just sweep this
under the rug. Good, Butif you're going to meet with him or

something comes up, please let usknow. And we're also concerned about your
safety. Good. I appreciate it. But I could take care of myself.
I appreciate it. You put mein the program for a while.
I'm not in the program anymore.I'm a grown man. Bro, don't
worry about me all that much.And I have no intentions of doing anything

illegitimate or hurting anybody or doing anythinglike that, if that's what you think,

Basically, he was super happy tohear that. So it made me

thought about for a long time whatI was going to do when I got
out of prison after almost eighteen yearsstraight, and this is the perfect fit
