#Peoplepleasers put others first, even when they’re running on empty. So how do we start to prioritize ourselves and ignore the guilt and the worry that others will think that we’re “selfish?”

There is also the common misconception that self-care is simply about indulging in bubble baths or buying yourself an expensive treat. Real self-care transcends what feels good. It involves consistent daily actions that nurture your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. By focusing on these essential aspects of yourself, you can not only take care of yourself mentally and emotionally but also attract healthy and fulfilling relationships that enrich and add to your life.

Many of us, including myself, have fallen prey to people-pleasing and over-giving. We hope that by giving tirelessly to others, we will be rewarded with love and appreciation. However, this approach often leaves us feeling depleted and unappreciated. We attract toxic individuals who take advantage of our kindness, which will make you question your own worth.

When we prioritize ourselves unapologetically, we tell the world—and ourselves—that we matter and that our well-being is important. This change in mindset empowers us to show up as our true selves and live a life that aligns with our deepest desires and aspirations.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • Learn how to start prioritizing yourself
  • What self care really means
  • REAL self-care is soo more than just feeling good
  • How self-neglect attracts toxic individuals, leaving you drained and unappreciated
  • Filling up your own cup first can break the cycle of over-giving and attract healthier, more reciprocal relationships
  • True self-care includes setting boundaries, understanding and meeting your own needs, and putting your wants, needs, and preferences as just as important as everyone's else's in your life
