About Steven Youngblood:

Steven Youngblood lives in Wellington, New Zealand with his wife, three children and an annoying cat.

Steven has spent 17  years in the public service across a range of agencies, including health, defence, corrections, social development, mental health and other social policy agencies. After several senior roles, he discovered his biggest impact was when he was working on a team or business, rather than within it. This included helping teams and agencies get more from what they already had, and building strong teams that gave useful advice.

So he took the leap and set himself up as a strategy consultant, which means he gets to help a wider range of teams within and beyond government.

Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
