needed or the pace that was setlast year. People understand the page jumps,
they understand the store, they knowthe game to play. Putting a
shot clock in the main event wouldbe new, just like when WP to

first ever WPT event. It needsit. The question in the WSP main
event is when do you implement theshock clock. If you put it in

the bubble, right, we needwhat is it, one hundred and fifty
one hundred and sixty tables worth ofchockol. There's no chance you can do
it near the bubble, there's justtoo many. I think it's I think
at day six. I mean maybethey could, but it's just too hard.
Day six would be a good day. I think that was even Day
five. Day five is fifty tables. You could do it for fifty tables.

I don't know, that's all Iwould. I would rather start smaller
and build up as opposed to justintroduce it and have it be or have
it go haywire early on. SoI think now for sure, like day
seven, they should for sure haveit day six, you know, I
think you can definitely introduce it.It's just the stalling is getting to be

pretty crazy. And listen, Iunderstand that players are going to do it,
and again, I know I'm likehating on it, but I'm also
going to say that I would bedoing it if there was a pay jump.
I mean, that's just how itis. I remember at the WPT
World Championship a couple of years ago, a couple of times I stalled,
and I wish I stolled longer atthe end to get a pay jump.
But you know, that's just howit is. It's not even like other
(06:21):
players at the table are necessarily likeworried about it, because a lot of
times the players will just be like, yeah, I'm just gonna stall,
Like they'll just flat out say it, and the other players be like,
yeah, I get it, Like, you know, it's a fifteen K
pay jump, Why I would doI think it would just create a better
product overall. I agree. Now, obviously we're going into a forty K
(06:41):
pay jump coming up, but thiswas happening when the pay jumps were the
minimum amount. Hey, yeah,for sure, we were tracking. You
know how often the tables broke becausewe were trying to, you know,
calculate what tables to take up therefor the features, and like these tables
breaking every five minutes, ten minutes. But then once a pay jump came
up, even though it was likea five K pay jump, well even
less twenty five hundred, the rightwould rapidly slow down for a few tables.

So it's not just we're not justtalking forty K pay jumps. We're
talking all pay jumps where this is. This is happening because the end of
the day, it's money, youknow, like whether it's twenty five hundred
dollars or twenty five thousand dollars,you know, every little dollar counts.
Yeah, no, for sure.So yeah, as Tim mentioned, one
hundred and sixty k is guaranteed,fifty third goes up to two hundred thousand

and forty fourth two hundred and fiftythousand. We're gonna try tomorrow or sorry
today, on day seven to playdown to eighteen. That's the goal.
It's the rule. The rule,it's a requirements, the requirement. I
mean that could take forever. It'sbecause we're behind, we're behind to take
six levels. Oh yeah, yeah, players aren't gonna be happy about that.

She took a few steps backs,but she's still in the mix. To
me, that is a I thinkbiggest name. Now you could probably Algie

points to Chrissy for being a female, being a high roller Crusha now crushing

the biggest ten K in the world. So to me, that's my number
one story. How about you?I agree? I think Chris and fox
And is the number one story goingforward. I think it's pretty credible what
she's doing. You know, shefinished on fourteen and a half million.
I forget where she came in exactly, but I mean today, if you

watched the coverage on Poker Goro.She had hand after hand after hand,
and she was in there constantly,you know, I mean she's she's aggressive
by nature. She does stay activeat the table, but it of course
helps when you pick up really goodhands. She had some nice momentum at
the end of the night. Shebusted a player when she had threes versus

Ace King. She flopped a setand held from there. The money went
on on pre flop, and thenshe ran a nice bluff at least according
to her, at the end ofthe night. And I caught up with
her afterwards to chat. And here'sthat interview right now, all right,
Kristin Foxin, how did they gofor you today? It was fun?

It was uh, a rollercoaster,very eventful day. Not a smooth day
by any means. A lot ofaction, a little bit, yeah,
intense, stressful, but ended ona very good note. I was going
to ask you about that end there. You know, you pick up the
threes, you call the all in, you flop a set. That must
feel good to have that momentum goinginto day seven, definitely, And I
(13:22):
got a huge fluff throw for StephenSong, so that one really helped.
Yeah, yeah, definitely very gratefulfor the end. I think I paid
Nicholas off in a hand where herivered a flush, and yeah, there
was a it felt a little bitlike I'd gain momentum and then lose and
whatever. But yeah, I feelgreat. You mentioned Stephen Song, you

mentioned Nicholas. Feels like everything's gettinga little bit tougher. How's the competition
been as you get closer and closerto the finish line. Yeah, it
seems like the tables are increasingly gettingtough, and certainly the lineup towards the
end of the day was a lottougher for then earlier. And I think
that's kind of the nature of themain event too, because the weaker players,
you know, slowly get chipped awayat and maybe make mistakes, especially
(14:09):
as the pressure comes on. Soyou obviously have a lot of experienced playing
poker, You've been on the bigstage many times, but probably nothing like
this. Do you feel it does? Is it exciting? How do you
stay grounded? What's going through yourmind? Actually feel surprisingly kind of just
like in the zone and focus.I think you know that they talked about
(14:31):
going off the stream, and Iwas like, I kind of feel good
on the stream like it. Itkind of puts like a little bit of
pressure on, but I like it, and I yeah, I think I
just feel kind of comfortable up here. Now. It seemed like you were
picking up a lot of hands todayto play. I mean that must feel
good, right, you're basics ofthe main's getting playable hands. It's crazy.

I ran in here and then rightaway it was like stressful spots and
then I'm never really you know,I haven't got a read on anybody,
so I'm like, what is happeninghere? You know, you feel like
are they three vetting me light?Or they do they just have it?
You know what is happening. Sothere was some tough spots right away,
a lot of hands. I meanthat was fun. I was saying earlier.
I'm like, wow, I haven'tgot aces or kings this whull tournament.
(15:13):
And then it feels like they allcame today. So when you get
to this point in the tournament,you know there's sixty players left, first
place, ten million, you're reallyyou know, you're deep in it.
Do you set like kind of anend goal or is it just like one
hand at a time, take itas it comes. I just keep telling
myself, like ten hours of poker, you know, we're pretty deep.
I know what to do all thespots that come up. You know,

I've played many times, so that'swhat I'm reminding myself. All right.
That was Kristen Fox and again fourteenpoint five million. You know, she
was up on the feature table allday. Yeah, it was a long
time. Yeah, I would throwa fit well, but she also said
things I kind of liked. Shekind of liked it. Yeah. I

think it's much a momentum and confidencething more than I mean, if you're
if you're winning, I'm assuming you'regonna be like, yeah, keep me
here. If you're losing, you'reprobably gonna be like, hey, guys,

understand how that is. I thinkshe understands the games, of course.
I mean I thought there was alot of fun action at all the tables,

to be honest. So we're gettingto that point where you know,
obviously everything is condensing down towards thefinal table, and I mean we're we're
in it. You know, theseplayers are all in it, like you
know, it's it's the real fingdeal now, and you can certainly feel
that the rails are starting to build. The tension is in the air is
certainly getting thicker and thicker. Itseems like by the level, what else

you got for stories I got?I mean Brian I think Briana Rass is
in there, okay hundred. He'sbasically, you know, for those playing
at Lunganham, the yeah, theAldi version of Tom Dwan, the what
you know, the Aldi supermarket,like the kind of cheaper knockoff version of

the what version of what is Australia. It was trying to make some kind
of like pun on Tom Dwan beingyou know, Tom Dwan was the online
guy, and I'm saying, likeLeana nine hundred, first of all,
they're entirely different. I know itdidn't work obviously, it's this is a

just trying to look it didn't comeup. I didn't have enough time to

for sure. I Mean I feltlike I felt like watching the coverage

they had to keep explaining it,at least the early portion, you know.
I mean, the guy is absolutelyincredible at poker, right, He's
one of the absolute best ever whenit comes to tournament poker, and now
he's on the big stage for everyoneto see it. Played some really good
hands today from what I saw,so yeah, it was it was fun.

And now he's bringing fifteen point eightmillion into day seven. I think
Brian Rass is another one. Imean I kind of felt like in a
way, Brian Rass was kind ofjust hanging around for a much much of
the day, but then he uhkind of surged like I don't know,

second half of the day or somethinglike that, ended up bagging twelve million,
six and seventy five thousand, soPoker Hall of Famer six time goal
brace the winner. I feel likeRass is going to make this final table.
I really do. Like, Ijust feel like it's just kind of
in the cards for him to makeit. So Arthur Morris was funny because
obviously we know him and he's youknow, he plays a PGT regular,

he's Poker Group podcast hat guy nowand all this sort of stuff. I
mean, you just couldn't kill theguy all day just couldn't kill. We
got to hit on Jesse Kaffs.That was my third one, probably the
most eccentric player left. I mean, he's just going to use the word
from cringe to cool, the phrasegreen from cringing ring cool. Is that

what happened? He went from cringingto cool. No, I mean,
I'm not sure if he's gotten tocool, but he's turning the corner.
I feel I feel like we needhim up there. We need we need
the ducks, we need to craziness. I mean, he's he's he's the

You know, he's got seventeen rubberducks on the table. I'm not

I mean he's like he's a characterfor sure. Yea. And we've known
Jesse. We used to he usedto work for Proker News, like and
he's he's always been a little bitwacky, like in a in a good
way. And he like he's thecharacter. Like you need, you need
a couple of things in every Wspmianevent. I think, right, you

need the heroes, you need thevillains, then you need the wackos.
Okay, like that's what you need. I remember, I mean not like
wacko, like crazy wackle like funwacko. You know, like John hess
a couple of years ago, hewas kind of like the wacko. You
know, he had the colorful jacket, the hat, like he was the
old guy battling with the younger guys, like you know that that type of
wacko. I think Jesse Kapps islike that type of person. And he's

in there, you know, he'she played some wild hands. Seemed like
he got lucky a few different times, especially on the turn. In some
spots he played that one hand earlierwhere like the guy didn't see that he
was all in, or the guydidn't see that he wasn't all in.

which was King Queen and the flopwas King, like King nine to

five or something whatever, and theguy had top pair, but Jesse had
tens and like Jesse saw his handbut then had the chip behind. So

I've heard stories, man, whatdo you want me to say? But
Jesse was still in his hand,so like he still had equity in the

pot, you know, like ifhe would have folded that hand and was
left with one chip and a chair, then it's a different story. But
the duck live on and you spokewith him afterward. All right, let's

know you saw it a little bitof action in this event. We're not
even talk about how much. ButI'm just wondering, as I actually won
my CC for free as a charitytournament, so like, yeah, give
it, you know, sell ita little bit after your friend stuff,
But technically I'm indetermined for free evenbetter. So I want to know what

would currently guaranteed one hundred and sixtythousand dollars. What does that mean to
you to lock up such a bigpayday like that? Honestly, I've been
telling people this. It's not evenabout the money like when I was when
you knew me, when I waslike first starting out being like a reporter.
I just want to be a partof the action. I wanted to
be a poker ambassador. I tryto do that blog, you know,

they understand the store, they knowthe game to play. Putting a
shot clock in the main event wouldbe new, just like when WP to

first ever WPT event. It needsit. The question in the WSP main
event is when do you implement theshock clock. If you put it in

the bubble, right, we needwhat is it, one hundred and fifty
one hundred and sixty tables worth ofchockol. There's no chance you can do
it near the bubble, there's justtoo many. I think it's I think
at day six. I mean maybethey could, but it's just too hard.
Day six would be a good day. I think that was even Day
five. Day five is fifty tables. You could do it for fifty tables.

I don't know, that's all Iwould. I would rather start smaller
and build up as opposed to justintroduce it and have it be or have
it go haywire early on. SoI think now for sure, like day
seven, they should for sure haveit day six, you know, I
think you can definitely introduce it.It's just the stalling is getting to be

pretty crazy. And listen, Iunderstand that players are going to do it,
and again, I know I'm likehating on it, but I'm also
going to say that I would bedoing it if there was a pay jump.
I mean, that's just how itis. I remember at the WPT
World Championship a couple of years ago, a couple of times I stalled,
and I wish I stolled longer atthe end to get a pay jump.
But you know, that's just howit is. It's not even like other
(06:21):
players at the table are necessarily likeworried about it, because a lot of
times the players will just be like, yeah, I'm just gonna stall,
Like they'll just flat out say it, and the other players be like,
yeah, I get it, Like, you know, it's a fifteen K
pay jump, Why I would doI think it would just create a better
product overall. I agree. Now, obviously we're going into a forty K
(06:41):
pay jump coming up, but thiswas happening when the pay jumps were the
minimum amount. Hey, yeah,for sure, we were tracking. You
know how often the tables broke becausewe were trying to, you know,
calculate what tables to take up therefor the features, and like these tables
breaking every five minutes, ten minutes. But then once a pay jump came
up, even though it was likea five K pay jump, well even
less twenty five hundred, the rightwould rapidly slow down for a few tables.

So it's not just we're not justtalking forty K pay jumps. We're
talking all pay jumps where this is. This is happening because the end of
the day, it's money, youknow, like whether it's twenty five hundred
dollars or twenty five thousand dollars,you know, every little dollar counts.
Yeah, no, for sure.So yeah, as Tim mentioned, one
hundred and sixty k is guaranteed,fifty third goes up to two hundred thousand
