(00:03):
Hi friends and welcome back to another episode of Real Housewives of Modo.
This is episode 10.
10 whole episodes.
Wow, that went by so fast!
So are we calling this the JB episode or the hi miss episode?
Who's who's 10 to you right now?
I Think so, too.
I love chance.
I miss we'll get him.
He has a moment here, but I love me some JB
(00:26):
Yeah, he just seems like a good genuine guy.
Yeah, he does.
I think we said this in our, said it in the, uh, like a top 10 dream interviews, likePaige Brayton, but I cried when JB won Daytona in 2018, like ugly, happy tears.
So yeah, we're on episode 10.
We'll, we'll dedicate it to the, the entire Brayton family.
You're welcome.
(00:49):
Well, this is a fun one.
We're on the other side of Paula now.
Um, I did hear someone else say, pay up pay off.
I don't even know how they said it.
was Weege.
Weege said it and he did not say Paula, but it was weird.
It was like halfway.
Yeah, Paula, like P-A.
I don't even know how you'd spell that, Paula, like getting in the back of your throat.
But yeah, it was Weege.
And I'm like, come on, Weege.
(01:10):
So Katie's on the other side of Paula.
And I want her to tell you guys a little bit about it.
So Katie, tell us how your weekend at Paula went.
Paula was so fun.
think they like it.
Like you didn't see Paula everywhere.
It was Fox Raceway.
I think they're trying to change it.
Yeah.
But no, it was good.
(01:30):
We left at 5 a.m.
We were able to get down there and take our time.
We got there around 7.45.
Had to stop for coffee.
It was really nice.
Like I actually really liked the setup.
I didn't have to go hiking like I did at Glen Helen.
(01:51):
But they let us take our wagon in.
were able to bring water, our own snacks.
We brought a wagon, uh put everything in that, and then we went and found our spot.
uh And the weather was really nice at first.
was a little cool.
I had my sweatshirt on at first, and then it got warmer, and then it started.
(02:15):
the wind picked up a little.
So I think that's what made it manageable all day was the breeze really helped.
But it's just being at the outdoors is very nostalgic for me because I grew up since Icould remember going with my dad to the races and just the whole getting up in the
morning, like getting the cooler ready, getting to the track all early, the smells, thegood people, like everyone's excited.
(02:40):
I think that's why I love the outdoors.
It's just very nostalgic and brings back a ton of memories.
ah After first qualifying, my sister-in-law and we went to the pits and they weren'tcrowded.
I was surprised.
you have to buy a separate pit pass for outdoors?
That's what I thought.
(03:01):
30.
monster can like at Supercross.
Yeah, I know.
But it was her first outdoor, so I needed to give her the full experience.
Yeah, so we went into the pits.
came, obviously I went to Eli's first, but they had all of the tents up, you know, like itshows the rider in their picture, like on the screen of the tent.
(03:26):
All of them were zipped up.
So you
see through it?
Oh, that's weird.
the center, had one, they uh unzipped that little shade flap, whatever you want to callit, for the autograph signing.
Do think that's just to keep dust out or people?
(03:47):
KTMs was like that as well.
Yeah, so we got there as they were starting to sign.
They did a 20-minute autograph session and the line was really long.
So.
250s and for everybody free for all, here's autograph session time.
was just 450 star doing autographs at first.
(04:08):
They did it right after first qualifying and everyone else seemed to be a little later.
But I like watching the mechanics do all the bike stuff and just kind of being a fly onthe wall.
So it was really hard to just see all of that because it was all closed up.
Eli's Motorhome was right behind the star rig.
So every time the door would open and close, I'd be like, oh my God, oh my God.
(04:30):
Hahaha
observing.
We kind of just watched Cooper Webb, Justin Cooper, and Eli sign things and people gaveEli 10 things to sign at once.
This one guy had goggles, a helmet, a jersey, everything.
Yeah, but I just like to see how they interact.
This one cute kid was like, Eli, you're my favorite writer.
(04:52):
And Eli was like, thanks, with his thumb up.
Eli's really friendly.
ah So we went and observed that for a little bit until they finished and then Eli walkedoff in his socks.
I guess they signed barefoot.
I don't know.
in like all his gear and everything and then just like hey I'm gonna chill out in socks
Yeah, well, what's funny too is I was wearing my I'm here for only here for Eli Tomacshirt and we were in like good distance of each other.
(05:20):
And I'm like, I got really self-conscious.
I started like covering it up with my poster that I picked up.
like, no, like this is creepy.
Like he's probably going to put a restraining order against me if he sees this.
Because what's funny is during first qualifying, it was it wasn't even crowded yet.
So it's literally just us.
(05:41):
by the rollers, watching the riders go through the rollers.
And Eli was just on a slow lap, you know, checking lines.
And everyone swears that Eli, he looked back and saw my shirt.
And I'm like, oh my God, I'm like, oh my God, we're in love.
I'm just kidding.
No, I'm like, no, like he was definitely looking at something else, but it was just thetiming of it and like how I was standing, like he for sure had to see it and there's no
(06:09):
one else around.
So we were all joking.
That was fun.
But yeah, the pits were very low key.
didn't.
I remember being a kid and they'd give out stickers and key chains and huge posters andI'd come home and put them all over my wall.
We went over to Cowie for a little bit, but I feel like we missed the tail end because allthe bikes were gone already for second qualifying.
(06:35):
Yeah.
So I saw Seth Hammacher.
He was really nice.
Levi Kitchen was really nice.
like.
uh random people kept coming up to him to try to get his autograph and he would alwayslike look at the mechanic and say like, how much more time do I have?
Or do I have to go?
So he was like trying to sign as many as possible, which was sweet.
That is nice.
What did you think of his crazy hair?
(06:58):
We saw it in the press conference we were recording and it was like, what?
I know, I know, it was funny, like I guess that's his MO now is to show up with crazyhair.
He's done that for a while too, like remember the red, white and blue?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Well, he said something in the pre-race conference that he was like, well, I had to,because last year a bunch of kids showed up with it and stuff.
(07:18):
And I was like, that's cute.
I think that's sweet.
Yeah, no, it was really fun.
And then after pits, we went and got some nachos and um you know, lunch and we justwatched qualifying.
There is an LCQ.
They just don't air it.
Yeah, I forgot.
(07:38):
Yeah, no, I feel like because we don't see it, like we weren't sure.
It's been three years since I was at my last outdoor.
So, so there is an LCQ.
for 250 and 450 and it's the same as Super Cross Top Four Guys Go.
So we watched those and then um opening ceremonies were different from what I remember.
(08:06):
Okay, number one, they did not announce Jett or Eli Tomac in opening ceremonies.
So where did they start?
Did they start with like chase or like?
Is it most important in SMX, maybe?
I don't know.
just feel like Jet and Eli are the stars.
They called R.J.
Hampshire, I think, and Cooper Webb.
(08:29):
And it was weird because that's when they would start their site lab.
So it wasn't like they would do a wheelie or something and come back.
It was very like, OK, well, they're going to start their site lab.
Here's the top names.
And no, Eli and Jet were not called.
So I don't know how they did that.
But that was really weird.
(08:49):
There was no jets, I figured because we're kind of surrounded by mountains, so maybe thathas something to do with it.
And Maddie McAdoo, that was neat.
That was a nice little surprise.
Yeah, that was a really nice surprise.
And then, yeah, it just got crowded.
It's so weird.
It's so dead.
(09:10):
And then you turn around.
It's like, you know, you're so close to everyone.
It's crowded.
It's just...
a sea of people.
The line for the Porter Party was so long.
I can't.
That's only for diehards right there.
my gosh.
but it's fun watching Deegan in person is something else.
Like he is just he's just the force.
(09:33):
Like you can just that's what my sister-in-law said.
She said you can just tell like how much emphasis they put in their writing outdoorscompared to Supercross.
Like you can really see how every lap their heart and soul is in it obviously or they'lldie.
um
Yeah, it was such a good day.
(09:55):
And then Eli podium, thank goodness, that's all I wanted.
Jet going one on one, mean, he is what the people say.
He's an alien.
I mean, I was just like, I did not expect that at all.
I was just, like, thank gosh Eli's there.
(10:17):
well, especially with Chase going, we'll get there, we'll get there.
But yeah, I'm the same way where I was just like, I thought he was gonna be good, but Ithought maybe it'd be like, oh I need to shake the rust off a little bit.
They've done all the things.
Hunter went on record saying they bought all the gadgets, the red light therapy, all thehyperbaric chamber, all the things to get them both healthy.
um But I'm like, was he really injured?
(10:39):
I commented somewhere where I was like, did he tore his ACL?
ACL don't know her like what so we'll get there but yeah he's a freak of nature he's analien so goodness
Yeah.
And then so I went over to the podium and I got there late, so was way in the back.
But that was really neat to see.
(11:01):
Faith sent me a picture of Jessica and the kids on like the golf cart with Kathy.
So I was like, that's so cute.
And then, yeah.
And then we got to our car and it was a dead stop for two hours.
I'm not.
Yeah, I'm not even exaggerating.
It took us two hours because it's one lane and it's a stop sign.
Why?
(11:21):
That's awful.
Yeah.
That's kind of how Coda was like when, when we first got the F1 track in Austin.
Like it took like six hours to clear out the first F1 race.
I mean, that was in like 2016.
I don't even know, but I was telling somebody the other day, I can't remember who it was.
I apologize.
Whoever you are.
We were talking in the Real Housewives of Modo Discord or not discord in my Instagram.
(11:42):
And I said something about getting out of the parking lot.
Oh, is it Houston?
So when Dungey won his championship, like three rounds early at Houston, I think it waslike 2016.
So I'm like riding high cause you know, Dungey's my guy.
And I think I'd met or said hi to Lindsay like that morning.
And so it was like the best day ever.
And then we were in my husband's then new truck in the Houston lot, which is like huge.
(12:03):
And then it starts hailing.
And so he's freaking out with his brand new truck getting hailed on.
And then because it's hailing, it's raining.
So it's flooding because Texas, and it took us like two hours to get out of the parkinglot.
And there it's literally just
like fancy trucks as far as the eye can see because hello target demo and everybody justfreaking out that they're having their pricey trucks hailed image.
So we got to get our act together with with parking lot situations, but you
(12:27):
No, was it was I mean, all the concerts I've been to all the supercrosses I've been tolike there.
That was definitely the longest.
We didn't end up getting our Texas Roadhouse bread rolls because it got way too late.
We just did a quick in and out run on the way home.
ah So but that was the only bummer is I did not get the bread rolls and there were nowhereand up here were nowhere close to a Texas Roadhouse.
(12:51):
Like I have to drive an hour and a half.
Well, now we know where we're gonna eat when you come.
In a week and a half, we'll go to Texas Roadhouse.
I'm so excited.
tried to change my flight side note.
I tried to change my flight to become to come Thursday night or leave Friday at midnight, like do a red eye.
But it was three hundred and fifty dollars.
So, yeah, never mind.
(13:13):
flights.
Flying all over the country is so expensive.
Like you think about these teams, like especially the like satellite teams or theprivateers, like they're managing all of this beginning of the year.
I would like to think, I mean, let's go back to this is episode 10.
We'll talk all things, Brayden.
I remember listening to Justin Brayden talk about the logistics of his season and like howhe books flights and international and time zones and sleep and you know, managing jet
(13:36):
lag.
And I'm like, that is so crazy.
Like that's so much to manage.
And it's expensive.
like getting all the races at beginning of the year, like let's take Shane McAwrath.
I'm so excited that Shane is having an off summer.
Like him and Joy look like they're living their best life, but he raised 50 races in 50and 40 races, pardon me, 40 races in 52 weeks, um, because he did WS or world supercross
(14:00):
and AMA.
So he was like literally all over the world.
And then you think about how much those flights cost, what time zones they're in, how much
you know, planning an overlap you've got to do.
Like that is, that's incredible.
So kudos to people who fly a lot more than I do.
I was wondering, like, does Lewis Phillips pay for his flights to be at these races?
Does film guy Tom pay for his own flights?
(14:21):
Like, I was thinking about that because that adds up quick along with the rooms.
You have to be there a minimum of two nights.
You know, like, does it come out of their own pocket?
Or I know like film guy Tom is like kind of allegedly.
Works for racer X, you know, I Louis Philips does a lot with Steve Mathis.
I'm like, do they help a lot?
(14:42):
Like, I just want to know.
Yeah, I'd be really interested to know that too, because you know, in starting RealHousewives of Moda, like the Instagram, like I am now following like all of the
photographers and videographers.
Like before it's like, you know, there's Simon Cudby, like he's the OG, but now likefollowing everybody, I'm like, yeah, I'd be really curious to know like what their setup
is because some of these, these, um, content creators, you know, that have the mediapasses, like they have direct ends with the team.
(15:08):
They're like, this is, I am stars photographer or whatever.
And so they're triaging all of those photos.
and tagging them that day and getting them out.
Star is a bad example because there's like a bajillion writers.
But then you can have people um like Juju.
Juju's got a new guy doing his media just for him.
I think just for him.
So they'll clarify if not.
um But I would assume something like that if it's your individual filmer or yourindividual content creator that like, yeah, you're contracted to come follow them.
(15:34):
You would have some kind of flight stipend, things like that.
But just getting yourself to the races and just doing it from the jump, which like,
what I would like to do one day.
Like, yeah, it's all on you unless you've got a really, really nice sponsor that likesyou.
That's a lot.
does Juju guy, does Juju just pay him a salary?
(15:56):
Like, I really want to know the contract and all the stipulations.
Yeah, I think that would be a fascinating chat.
Converge Media, Octopi, like there's some really cool media houses, so to speak, that arethat have come in.
And honestly, like when I see like new video branding, like I'm thinking about Juju's, Iget so excited because it's like all of it starts to look the same, you know, especially
(16:19):
like the younger guys, like they're all, you know, they've got the Insta bangers and it'salways rap.
And like, I love me some good rap, but also I listen to like everything like.
Yesterday I was playing a metal playlist when I was washing my hair because I need likethe emotional support when I'm doing hair wash day.
And like my daughter came in and she was like, what's this yelling?
Because it was like screamo music.
So, but I get excited when like someone comes in and takes like an interesting angle on,on like the Moto media game because yeah, it really does all start to look the same.
(16:46):
And regardless of how awesome it is, if it looks the same, it doesn't stand out, you know?
So I don't know how we got there.
That was for free.
uh
um Let's see other things.
So 450 press conference, you were saying the way that Eli giggles at Jett.
That's so cute.
see that from Eli.
(17:06):
Like I feel like Jet is kind of that little, not brother, but I just feel like Eli kind ofadmires Jet in a way, like kind of finds him funny, like a funny kid to have around, you
know, but it's like his main competitor.
So, but I mean, he doesn't do that with anyone.
(17:28):
And it's like,
think he respects Jet too, you know?
Yeah, I mean, he kind of looks at it different.
He's like, you know, this is the younger generation.
This was bound to kind of happen.
You know, this is the main guy now.
But I also think they also have a lot on common on the back end because they both have afarm.
They both do the whole farm animal thing.
So the cows, you know, in San Diego, they were also talking about uh bulls and stuff.
(17:55):
And uh yeah, I just think they also have a lot of common on the back end.
It's clear that Eli respects Jet.
Jet brings out that playful energy in Eli.
We saw it at San Diego when they were talking.
I just think it's nice.
It was refreshing.
Yeah.
Well, and to speak to Jet, like, I miss that playful energy from Jet.
(18:18):
Like, do you remember when DB got Jet to bark on the podium?
Like, I feel like we've gotten buttoned up Jet, and I think there's lots of reasons forit.
um I want to do a whole episode on, these um designer ready-to-wear brands that people areworking with, like, like...
Jets got one, Chases got one.
Well, I'll noodle on that.
I've started putting some notes down.
(18:39):
uh But I miss like playful Jet.
He's so like buttoned up now and that was kind of fun.
I do think that Eli respects Jet because I don't think he would be here if it weren't forJet.
And let me caveat that.
So he and John Tomack had both said, you don't leave until someone pushes you out.
And I think honestly this year, if...
(19:02):
If he was healthy, I think Eli would have been a force to be reckoned with.
mean, duh, we know that, but like he already broke chase in outdoors.
Like chase at any given time is going to qualify faster than, than Eli.
Like he has the speed, but Eli has beast mode.
And so I think Eli being here and being like, I'm still in it I still want to has to nodto jet because jet is the only one that, you know, Eli hasn't completely, you know,
(19:25):
manhandled.
Yes, we got the one pass on the outside this year.
Um, but I think that like,
Someone like Eli, who is just a dog of a competitor, wants people like the alien in Jet topush him like Chase did in the outdoors two years ago, you know?
No, we're in for such a good summer.
ah I worry about Eli's starts.
(19:46):
Eli needs like a paddle tire or something just for starts.
yeah, yeah, but just like, my gosh.
then it's, you know, if that freak accident didn't happen at Tampa with Eli, would we evenbe talking about a contract for him next year?
Like I think if he had a solid super cross season, you know,
(20:10):
I don't know, I just keep...
be looking, he might be retiring.
But yeah, yeah, I mean, I don't think he'd be re-signing one because when we said it, Idon't think Star could afford him.
And then when he went out, well, if he goes out, if he doesn't go out, does Cooper win thechampionship?
Cooper Webb?
No, I don't think so.
(20:32):
down to chasing and Eli.
So then that saves Star a little bit of money if Cooper doesn't win it.
um But even still, like Star's like, we got to put some cheddar in the bank and save forDeegan.
Because Deegan's going to be like, give me all the money.
You know, he just blew 50 grand on a necklace.
know?
Like, what?
that is so.
But to Deegan's point, I mean, to his camp, like, he deserves it.
(20:56):
The kid went one-one.
Like, you-
yeah, I could watch him ride all day.
I'm like, I told my sister, like, it's so crazy.
It's like the dorkiest personality.
But he has all these girls here and their little tube tops and booty shorts justgoogly-eyed over him.
That's his target demo.
I'm telling you, when I got on TikTok for like five seconds last week, I was like, Ican't, I'm too old.
(21:18):
Like I will, I will never ever discredit what that dude can do on a bike, but like, Idon't, I don't get it.
So we're going to get to Hayden.
We're going to, he's, he's the first one on our list for two 50s.
So Hayden goes one, one right out the gate.
Like he had, you know, the first couple of laps on both of them, like, you know, he had,he had a few things going on there, but I mean, he's, he's just a freak.
(21:40):
There's a picture.
I think Marisa, I have confirmed her name is pronounced Marisa.
ah I should say, this should come as, maybe it comes as a shock to some people, but itshould not come as a shock to anybody who really knows me.
I have never watched a single minute of the Deegans YouTube, not because I'm anti-Deegan.
Let me say that.
I just don't sit on YouTube all day.
Like we've had a lot of people who have asked for the Brady pod to be on YouTube.
(22:03):
I'm working on it, but like, I'm just, I'm not of that generation.
That's like, I want to.
I want to watch everything on YouTube.
got a life and a job and I like reading a lot.
So if I'm not watching dirt bikes, you know, um so I have no idea that they heard her nameis pronounced Marisa, but our girl faith shared a video that Brian had done with a pastor
(22:26):
in SoCal.
It's actually a really good listen.
was like, I respect Brian a lot more um from that too.
um But the pastor says Marisa and like catches himself and says, Marisa.
And so I'm like, it is Marisa.
So
That was for free.
Marisa Deegan.
So mama Deegs post the picture and you've probably seen it of Hayden just like hanging itoff the back.
(22:46):
Have you seen it?
It is insane.
is stunning.
The stretch, like I'm like, my hamstrings could not.
It's a thing of art.
yeah, Deegan's incredible.
um The finish line, roll the dice move.
(23:07):
I could go without, but then I did see something that was like, I posted on our Instagramthat was like, we didn't have memes back in my day.
We had three moves and one of them was like, the roll the dice move.
And I'm like, it's actually, he's just.
well versed in his elder millennial history.
And it's a nod to us old people, like totally tongue in cheek kidding.
Um, so that was a little cringe, but you know what?
(23:30):
Him being a little cringe is like his brand, you know, we're not the target demo.
Okay.
That's cool.
it adds entertainment, you know, just something to talk about.
Yeah, so Hayden, yep, incredible to watch, love it.
um
It kind of took the oomph out of the 250 though, you know?
(23:52):
Like where was Kitchen?
I mean, it kind of fell flat.
You know, we talked about how many top riders there are in 250 and it kind of just leftthere.
I left there going like, okay, well, you know, who's going to like, okay, well, that wasthat.
(24:13):
That was fun while it lasted.
that was fun for two motos.
Yeah.
So Hayden goes one one.
Joe Joe show goes to two for two.
We love we love Joe show.
about that happening.
No, no, but I'm, Hey, I'm here for it.
He he's on a contract year.
There's drama with the Lawrence camp.
(24:34):
won't go there.
Um, somebody had said somewhere that like, he was offered a red bill, red bullsponsorship, like around the same time.
I think that high must got his maybe, maybe even before him has got his, um, but either itdidn't pan out or he said no.
Um, because he was previously a monster athletes.
I, I have got to think that he's going to go back to a monster sponsored team.
Um, Cali looks likely, um,
(24:57):
But I'm happy for Joe.
I think it was a good ride.
um His English is so good.
Do you remember when he first came over?
oh
listening to him on pulp and I was telling Derek I was like, he speaks so well, like he'slike he has done so much better stop talking.
(25:17):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was, I I saw the same thing and thought the same thing.
used to tell, I used to tell Tim, my husband, um, when Kenny and Marv were on two fiftieson KTM and Marv was West coast and Kenny was East coast or vice versa, whatever.
Those were the best interviews because it was when like Kenny still had like the thickGerman accent and said things funny.
And then Marvin obviously, you know, still speaks French predominantly, he's doing theFrench broadcast.
(25:40):
And I would just like, I love listening to their interviews, especially, you know, Marvinrambles forever.
And I love it.
which is why we need Max Dancy back.
Max Dancy is like the British reincarnation of him.
He does.
So I love it.
So good job, Joe.
Can you imagine coming over to a new continent and fighting for a spot for your career andnot even speaking the language and then your career is something that could kill you?
(26:05):
Good on him.
Good on Joe show.
Yeah, it sounds like Honda wants to keep him, but yeah, it was kind of hard to read theroom when he was talking about it.
It was weird.
And especially when he was talking about like the bike setup and he sounded like Honda wastrying to like force him into the Lawrence's setup.
And I was like, that's not a good look.
yeah.
So poor little Schmota, poor little Schmoterboten.
(26:29):
We said that a couple summers ago.
Also adorable in third place, going 4-3 for third overall is Tom Vial.
uh Anything that stuck out from Tom's ride being there?
Honestly, no.
I wrote he could manage this season to death, but not win it, know, kind of like he didfor super cross, but you can't do that against Hayden.
(26:52):
So do I think he could get like a second at the end of this?
Absolutely.
Like he could, he could be the most boring second place ever.
Um, but yeah, he, he's, he's just going to manage it.
So nothing, nothing to write home about that.
Um, fourth place was Mr.
Chan's time is, and I have to say this, um,
(27:14):
I'm connected with uh Tati who works for Honda and she's like their PR slash everythinggal.
And on press day, she posted like going to get my little ducklings and like directingchance to like his interviews.
And there was so many times even uh James on the broadcast used duck and ducklings as likea metaphor.
It was really weird.
And so now I can't unsee it.
(27:34):
Like every time I see Honda or like Tati, was footage of Tati like corralling Hunter to gosomewhere.
And I was like, they're ducklings, they're little ducklings and Tati is their mamaduckling.
That's so cute and I would kill for that job.
I just want to be the girl that passes them the goggles, passes them their helmet, tellthem where to go, dream job, dream job.
(27:57):
I wouldn't care how much I make.
That's just the dream job, yeah.
So that was that was a fun one.
And I just every time I see him us now, I'm like, talk to you little duckling.
I mean, all the Honda guys are her ducklings, but I miss in particular.
Let's see after him.
This was Juju go in five, four for fifth overall.
(28:18):
Juju.
It's given me big Dungey vibes, obviously like I love Dungey, so I don't hate it.
he, and even like, mean, the KTM thing, the way he speaks, the way he's like locked in,like, uh again, I could see him managing this season well and not winning it just because
he's not on the same level as Deegan right now.
Yeah, he he's really good outdoors.
(28:40):
I didn't see that coming, but I guess it makes sense with the jet ski experience.
You know, waters are rough, so I mean, I guess it kind of makes sense.
I like that.
Yeah.
And if he has enough points this year, he could get the number 29, ah which his amateurnumber was 929.
I think that there's a beautiful metaphor in there as like inheriting it from ah AndrewShort way back when.
(29:04):
And Andrew Short was like the smiley assassin.
And so I'm like, I could see Juju as like the new smiley assassin.
So I really hope he does well.
think I think he's only going to get better.
So that good on you, Juju.
Then last, last but not least, we're going to talk about the top fives, but we have totalk about Garrett Marchbanks.
So Garrett Marchbanks went six, five, four, six overall.
(29:25):
Um, it was not pretty.
think, I think Daniel, Daniel Blair said it, that he's like the craziest style writing, like most unattractive.
think maybe is that what that's what DB said.
Um, which I don't disagree with.
What do you think?
I don't know, I've always liked Garrett Marchbanks.
(29:45):
I always kind of find him as a little like sexy caveman-ish.
You know, like he's kind of mysterious like Eli and they also have the same face shape.
They do.
Yes.
uh
caveman.
my gosh.
Okay, well that's too funny because um I was dying at uh some of the media photos.
(30:10):
Joe used one in the Dana Blair show with like the spit dripping off his face and justnasty.
But I'm like, besides that, he's a big dude.
if he's doing, he's, I feel like somebody said he's like in the 180s, which seems like notpossible.
Like I don't think he's that big, but.
If he's doing this well in outdoors this year, like when he finally makes it to a bigbike, like I'm hoping he can really put it together.
(30:33):
So good on, good on Garrett.
Um, to no, no, go ahead.
Well, while we were watching 450 Moto 2, he came out on his BMX bike, I think, or ascooter or something and was watching with the fans.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I will notice a Garrett Marsh Banks for sure.
(30:56):
I've always found him to be cute.
he's a large tall being.
mean, Benny's probably the only one taller than him.
Goodness gracious.
Which I think we have Benny back for next weekend.
Benny Bloss.
So that's exciting.
um Cowie, good on Mitch, had a whole roster there and they all left healthy.
So snaps for Mitch.
(31:20):
ah Our boy Ryan Hughes, RH22 is the wrench for Ty Masterpool.
Ty went 7'15 for 10th overall.
So I think again, wasn't the best day for Ty, but do I think Ty is going to absolutely getexponentially better throughout the season?
Yes.
So we're hoping for a Masterpool win for the Hughes household.
first round is just, you know, get the cobwebs off, you know, like kind of like a one, youknow, you can never really judge what's going to happen.
(31:47):
ah Like at a one.
So I feel like Paul is kind of the same because it's just, you know, shaking the cobwebsoff, getting back in the groove of outdoors, you know.
I agree.
I agree.
And yes, we think that Deegan is going to run this to the wire.
Like he's going to dominate, but yeah.
But there's a lot of other good stories going on in the 250 class that yes, the number onemight be, you know, might be locked, but.
(32:14):
yeah, like Kitchen was a little disappointing, but he's also coming back from a brokenback.
And, you know, I thought we weren't going to see him.
So ah I gave Levi Kitchen a pass.
Yeah, well, he went 10 38 for 16th overall.
So still still got points.
So we're good.
um Other notable, mean, there's a bazillion Kawasaki.
(32:34):
So Garrett, Seth, Ty, Drew, Levi, like there's so many.
Yeah, in the pit, Seth was just hanging out with his mom, so that was so sweet.
I follow his mom.
She looks so sweet.
Also, he is a carbon copy of her.
as someone, my son is my mini.
My daughter doesn't look anything like me.
She's a redhead and don't, blue eyes.
(32:55):
ah But my son is my twin.
when I see mom son duos that are twins, I'm like, oh, that's me.
m
shooed Deegan away at Supercross last year.
She was like, shoot, like, shoot fly, don't bother me.
Get out of here.
So what's I know?
Does he have merch?
I need to look into this.
(33:16):
I'm sorry if you have merch and I just don't know about it.
Like we need to we need to know about this.
So.
Me too.
um Speaking of merch, we need to have a we're going to talk about more real housewives ofModo merch, but.
um Somebody was somebody shared some.
Oh, I think it was I think it was Jennifer herself.
um
Jerry Robbins wife, she had a shirt with 77 on it.
(33:37):
And I don't think it was like actual like Jerry merch, but I'm like, Hey, put a giant 77and just like his logo somewhere on it.
And I would buy the hell out of that.
Like, I'm like, I thought it was so cute.
So I'm hoping she does that.
Um, I have a basic moto co shirt that says like talk dirt bikes to me.
And I have people ask me about it all the time.
Like people that are like, is that like Travis Pastrana?
(33:57):
And I'm like, but it's a good icebreaker, you know?
So I'm here for all the merge.
Um, let's see.
So let's move into some four fifties, the big boys.
We'll go through the top five.
Um, top five word jet one, one.
is undefeated at Paula.
That is incredible.
(34:18):
As gnarly as that track is, it is incredible.
Like I am scared that Mr.
Boring might make an appearance with something like that, but Eli, Eli is in there.
So Eli going four, two for two overall Hunter getting third place with a three, fouroverall.
AP getting fourth overall with a five three and Jacob in fifth at a two eight.
(34:41):
What did you think of surjet Lawrence in the flesh?
unbelievable.
Like I don't have the vocabulary for it, you know?
It's just he is something else.
Like I don't know.
I don't know what to say.
It's beautiful.
Like, really.
I mean, and it's so different from Eli.
(35:01):
You know, it's the same dirt scooter, but they're so different, you know?
they ride so different.
uh Moving on to Eli.
Yeah, mean, does terrible at Paula and historically, Jett does phenomenal at Paula.
(35:23):
I think it's a good sign that we already saw Eli podium at the first round because thatbarely ever happens.
stayed with Jet the entire time except the last three laps.
was kind of just like, OK, like this isn't going to happen.
um But it's just I rewatched it back and I didn't realize how close Eli was actually.
(35:48):
So that was nice to see it when I saw it on TV, because from where we see it was kind oflike Eli was behind him, maybe one to two seconds.
But when he'd go through the rollers, it was just like, like he basically passed him.
It wasn't a complete pass, but
I mean, it was a lot closer than I thought watching it back on TV.
(36:08):
So we're going to Hangtown.
Eli's, you know, known for being good at Hangtown.
ah The weather is going to be interesting.
I asked Derek last night, said, so who's going to withstand the heat the best?
And he said, Jet.
And I'm like, no, wrong answer.
I was like, Eli trains at elevation.
(36:28):
And Derek goes, that has nothing to do with it.
m
know, because he never gets that heat.
I mean, yeah, AP.
You know, any of the ones in Clermont, like it's going to be nasty, like I I can't evenimagine, I will say this about Eli, he looks happy and hungry and that's dangerous, so I'm
(36:51):
I'm here for that.
also Jet was sweating like crazy after the race and Eli was not sweating.
You know what's so funny?
I thought that about AP, because usually AP is like a wet dog coming off the track.
that mullet is just dripping.
And he didn't seem as, like, dead.
So I'm like, something's happening in training for the positive, but.
(37:14):
jet seemed a lot more dead than Eli.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, he also had just like, you know, sobbed on the track.
So what did you think of Jets uh on track?
uh Emotional response, we shall say.
it was nice.
It was a man's sport to see a guy vulnerable is, you know, it's endearing.
You know, it's sweet.
(37:36):
know, Jet really went up a lot in my book this weekend, just the way how he handled thequestion at the press conference, which I do think was, you know, premeditated for sure.
Gypsy probably sent a text.
OK, I'm just going to tee this up for you.
Just touch on it lightly.
This is what you can say.
Let me ask Chachi what you should say.
(37:58):
I'll take your conspiracy theory a step further in reverse.
Feld calls Gypsy and says, hey, you're the token Australian.
Here's what you're going to tee up to Jet and then we're moving on.
And then we're going to pay you.
We're going to pay everybody involved, but it's not going to be that much because we'regoing to take the majority.
Okay, I'm done.
I'm not stepping in that.
(38:19):
Jet.
Yes, I agree.
I.
I struggle with seeing men cry because it hurts my heart so bad.
I'm just like, I just want to hug you.
think that's maybe the maternal instinct in me, but I was thinking like, God bless Jet.
So other, other people, other friends of ours make all Jet Dodo and Hunter the wise one, which I, I'm not going to disagree with.
(38:44):
So, you know, poor Dodo has been dealing with a lot in the background and regardless ofhow you feel about it.
Um, it's a lot.
And when your entire life has been about this one specific skill set and you have yourfirst kind of like major, major injury in a year where you were the title favorite, like
that's a lot to, to grapple with emotionally.
So I'm okay with him having his cry fest.
(39:06):
Um, the security guy I want to talk about for a hot minute, cause that was funny to me.
Like I was like, apparently jet was getting death threats on his life.
Which is no joke, like that's terrifying.
mean, like I was telling Katie before we started recording that even in my little, youknow, two months into, you know, being public in the moto media, like people are weird.
(39:30):
People said you weird things and you know, you say one thing that they disagree with andthey're just like, ba ba here is the keyboard war.
Like, so I don't doubt that he felt unsafe, but also like MX sports notably is like crazyabout who can be on the gate.
And I saw no credentials for him.
(39:50):
I saw a bulletproof vest and a chain, but I saw no credentials.
He was there literally until gate dropped, like holding his umbrella at one point.
So I'm like, why, why do we get special treatment on the gate?
If you want your own security guy that like follows you around and that's fine, cool.
You do you, you got enough money for it.
But if we're going to be, you know, super, super particular about who can be on the gateand like, if a girlfriend is a privateer's wrench for the weekend, like she's, you know,
(40:16):
whatever.
But we have this like,
giant behemoth of a man behind the gate protecting Je- who's gonna shoot him on the gate?
Yeah, that was just, I mean, I thought it was fake for a second.
I said, did someone like AI a security guard?
Because I didn't see him, but we didn't we couldn't see the start gate from where we were.
that's true.
Yeah.
I, I got a couple of people who have DMed me and they're like, I don't get it.
(40:39):
I don't get it.
And I'm like, you know, honestly, like if Myrtle was still around, sounds like that'ssomething Myrtle would orchestrate.
Like it's good PR.
It's good PR.
You know, can't.
Yep.
we're going to get there.
We are going to get there.
They're getting their own section.
We are officially dedicating an entire section of this podcast to danger versus donuts.
So we'll get there.
Um, let's see.
(41:01):
So chase.
Third overall, Chase, we're gonna get there.
I just, we have to have a moment.
So Lewis, Lewis Phillips, big Lou goes on pulp last night.
And because we don't know what's going on with Chase, last we saw before we clicked recordis that Chase, might not see until red bud, which would be like six weeks from now.
(41:22):
So what does that mean?
Does that mean that you're more injured than you let on or you're more pissed at the worldand you're like, I'm done, I'm at Cowie, like, let's go.
I don't know.
I'm so confused by the redbud thing.
I mean it did come from Ryan Villapoto who would be a reliable source But you know hisfriend posted them at breakfast and I didn't see a sling I look very coasely didn't see
(41:43):
anything on the arms.
So my head I was like, he's fine
I don't, I just want, I wanna know.
I, know, and then I also heard this is all alleged, but I heard he was limping and then, yeah.
But it might've been like a Charlie horse, like maybe he got hit by the bike.
(42:07):
Yeah, Chase is a big question mark and it's Wednesday.
So for sure we'd need to hear by tomorrow.
Official word.
I mean, if we're hearing not till Redbud, that means something's up.
So.
that seems so far away.
Yeah, if you have not heard this manifesto that Lewis wrote to chase, I asked multipletimes if I could get a copy of it.
(42:30):
I tagged all the people.
And then my stupid self was like, just go pull the closed captions from pulp on YouTube.
So this is what I did.
You guys need to hear this.
I'm reading the full thing.
I will properly attribute it to Lewis, the Lewis Phillips.
Top Moto Media guy, but it was beautiful.
It's probably chatty, but he did his homework.
OK, there's it was great.
(42:51):
So.
Per Lewis Phillips, come before you trembling, humbled and emotionally sunburned toaddress the catastrophic opera of heartache.
I love that.
That was the opening round of the pro motocross.
There are moments in life that shake us to the very core.
The kind of moments where you stare into the abyss.
That was Paula.
Side note, ah the closed captions are auto-generated and it said that was parlor becauseof Lewis's accent.
(43:19):
That was parlor.
That was our May the 24th.
In the darkest of times, hope is not handed to you.
No, it must be wrestled from the jaws of despair.
Hope, my friend, is something you give yourself that is the meaning of inner strength.
It is the sacred force that we as the collective of fans, friends, and this is my favoritepart, fully emotionally stable spectators.
(43:41):
I don't know how many of those we have.
Fully emotionally stable spectators clutch to our chest in these difficult times.
Not since the Cupino people, Cupio, he did his homework.
These are the people of Southern California way back when, were cruelly displaced fromtheir land in 1901, which I also found to be very ironic that a Brit is reading this to a
(44:02):
Canadian on a US motocross pod, but I digress, that Paula has trembled with suchinjustice.
And just like them, we mourned, we grieved, we cursed the soil, but we will rise.
We will rise again to those who jeered, who doubted, who tweeted.
things they now regret.
forgive you, but we also see you.
Own that sadness.
(44:22):
Don't let it own you.
You're not always going to swish sometimes.
You're going to brick that emotional free pointer off the rim of destiny.
What a metaphor, Big Lou.
Just chef's kiss.
And that's okay.
That's growth.
And for everyone, for everyone, what just happened?
for every what just happened, literally copy and pasted, there will be a, you see that?
(44:44):
So we'll see you at Hangtown.
Maybe.
It's yeah, like he's in denial.
Like I commented on it and I said, Lewis acts how I act when Tomac is out.
No, really.
No, Katie, like you need to share your diary journals because I bet they sound like that.
(45:06):
Yeah, no, it's, it's the PTSD is real.
Like, like you said, every time Eli dabbed his foot, your heart stopped.
And I was like, this is why I'm glad I'm here because I can't see everything.
So it actually made me feel a little better.
But when I watch on Saturday, I'm just like, gonna be looking at that foot, gonna belooking at that foot.
(45:27):
But Derek said there's a plate in it.
So it's actually stronger.
ah Gosh, it's gnarly, whatever it is.
So, ah last thoughts on Chase.
ah We heard it's because of a goggle malfunction.
He threw his goggles.
You're saying he hit false neutral.
He wasn't going from first to second.
Apparently, it's a whole thing.
We don't know what happened.
It could have been anything.
We're not going to commentate on it.
(45:48):
It's fine.
But he is down 50 points.
Even if he returns this week, Katie, can he come back from 50 points to be competitive?
Not unless something catastrophic happens with Jet and Eli, which I'm not putting thatinto the world at all.
No, even a mechanical at that caliber, like that's not.
(46:08):
That's not happening, you know, so I agree, I agree.
Moving on from Chase, we had Hunter Lawrence going.
Oh, yeah.
No, no, he was three on on my list of who to talk to.
So no, Chase, Chase was.
22nd, 22nd.
I mean, he went whatever 38.
(46:29):
So, yeah, no.
Not good for him.
But ah next on our list, I skipped Hunter.
So instead of Chase, we didn't talk about Hunter.
Hunter went 3-4 for third overall.
Fourth overall with a 5-3 was uh Mr.
Aaron Plessinger.
What did you think about AP in the flesh?
Oh, I love AP.
Yeah, he did good.
He did better than I thought.
(46:51):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was happy.
I was happy with his ride.
he got a good start.
Uh, there was a couple of laps there where I actually, thought he was chase and I waslike, yeah, chase has given it to him.
Like in the first moto, to jet.
But honestly, I think like if anybody is gonna throw jet and Hunter off their games, because the Honda's like their, their start maps, they're on a whole nother level.
Their starts are just insane hunters on the first one.
(47:13):
I can't remember.
need to go back and look at it, but he is like gone, like out of frame.
So
I think if anybody's gonna hang with him, it'll be somebody like AP.
And he just needs to bang some bars in there on the start, know?
Like throw them off their game a little bit.
Yeah, no, yeah, I also think that goes back to Eli.
Like, I don't know why I think he gets a little hesitant, you know, because it takes oneslip.
(47:35):
And, know, during qualifying before second qualifying, you know, at Supercross, they havethe fake start, right?
At Paula, it was like they went 10 times on the start, not all together, but they wouldall take off at different times to practice their starts.
So I said, oh, well, like this can benefit a lot of the riders.
(47:55):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think AP is one of those that again, like, and Eli the same, like if they can get a goodstart and like get in there and make Jett and Hunter nervous.
mean, like Jett and Hunter ran into each other, which I'm like, my gosh, can we, can wenot like the, the brotherly warfare, like just chill.
So I think, I think AP is one that could get in there and, throw some weight around.
Um, also, did you listen to AP's, podcast episode on Dale Earnhardt Jr's dirty Mo media?
(48:20):
I was so proud of him.
Like it made me like warm and fuzzy.
it was.
I was telling, we were listening on our way to Mammoth a few weeks ago and I'm like, it'sfunny seeing AP reserved and shy, but he speaks really well and clear and it was a really
good listen.
But I'm like, usually we're seeing the Yahoo AP and you know, he's screaming and outgoingand it was so funny seeing him like quiet and reserved.
(48:47):
Yeah, he was very introspective too.
Like not that I don't think he's capable of it, but then I look at him like, he looks likea great dad.
He looks like a such a fun dad too.
Like I just, his son, my gosh, he cracks me up.
He reminds me so much of my son and gosh, he's a manager AP.
So yeah, I really enjoyed that.
ah I think that AP, he's one of those that's, he's not with the chase Eli Jett caliber, but I think he's going to bounce around in that three to six spot a lot this summer, which
(49:16):
I'm fine with.
I'm totally fine with
same.
Um, let's see.
And in fifth, excuse me, is Justin Cooper going to eight for a fifth overall.
I, again, I was happy with J, with Jacob.
I think he's a sleeper.
I really do.
What do think?
for sure.
He gets good starts too.
(49:37):
And you know, he couldn't be ran down in the first moto.
uh So yeah, think, yeah, Justin Cooper is really good outdoors.
So I think we're going to see him a lot on the podium.
he got fourth overall last year, right?
I have to look this up.
No, he did.
He did.
He got fourth overall in motocross last year.
So like, homie can ride outdoors.
We forget, you know?
(49:58):
and good luck charm.
Jillian was there, his wife, she was there.
I saw her in the social medias.
So good on that.
Maybe that gave him some extra positive juju.
I was going to say positive juju, but we can't use that if there's someone in this sportnamed juju, but anyhow.
Um, other notable rides in the four 50 class, Jason Anderson got seventh with a nine fiveoverall.
I just want to say how happy I am to have Ando back.
(50:20):
Like he's, he is a fun one to watch ride aside from the, you know, the duck tail of thisJersey.
Like you'll always find him that way, but he's just cut such a, like, what, what is it,what is it called when you ride backwards on a, on a skateboard or a surfboard goofy, it's
goofy because it's like the opposite way of it.
So I feel like he's got a goofy style.
Um, did you get to see Ando from your
(50:41):
from where you were much.
Yeah, I really like Jason.
I didn't get to see him in the pits, but I think he did a lot better than um everyone wasexpecting, especially with the fifth.
He did really well.
Yep.
Yeah.
The second moto was definitely better for him.
Um, he posted some new team fried merch, which has like his, his Prius on it.
(51:02):
I was like, I want to get it.
Like, I love that kind of merchant.
Um, he also posted a little, uh, an edit Siggy was working on at the end of it, which Ijust like, give me all the content of the children.
Like they're just so cute.
Um, speaking of children and Ando he's, they're not having another baby.
That was a bad tee up.
Sorry, Kenzie.
I did not mean to say that you guys are pregnant.
(51:22):
They're not.
there's a video of a little girl.
shared it on her Instagram story and then, um, they had commented back to me and I waslike, this is the sweetest thing.
She was getting high fives from all the writers.
Like, you know, jet had to have his security guard bring her under, you know, like reallywhat's this like six year old girl going to do.
But in you, um, Ando and his mechanic were coming like across, like they were on the bikeand she's like reaching out for a high five and like Ando like full commits to like reach
(51:47):
out and give her the high five.
And I'm just like, Oh, it's so
I'm like, that's some girl dad energy.
So I'm here for it.
I love it.
So I hope he does well and I hope whatever, wherever he lands next, um, I hope he's, Ihope he's just, you know, loving it.
He's, he's happy with where he lands.
So.
he's an icon of the sport.
It will fill his absence.
(52:09):
for sure.
Yeah.
He's, he's a powerful one.
So, um, other notable things that happened at Paula, the women's motocross series kickedoff on a Friday and we will not go into my diatribe about the lack of coverage.
Um, but you, if you follow us on Instagram, you can, you can't escape my, my anger there,um, Michaela Nielsen, Moto KK went to one, uh, for first overall Lachlan, Lala Turner, who
(52:35):
was last year's women's motocross champion.
went 1-3 for second overall and then Jordan Jarvis went 4-2.
Jordan Jarvis, think is the one that went down pretty hard.
No, it wasn't her.
It was the girl in the cowy, like smacked her face and then got up and I was like, dang, like girls got grit.
So that was cool.
um Other notable things that happened in across the sport or in the sport, um GrantHarlan, we got to give a shout out to Grant Harlan.
(53:02):
I have had the distinct pleasure to um
find Grant Harlan's girlfriend Mina and I mistakenly said that she works for Yamaha.
Let me pull that back.
She works for herself.
She also works or worked for Beta.
She is a gem.
(53:23):
Somebody got a picture of Mina sitting in Grant's lap.
need to go find the comments on that.
Grant was on Dark Side Moto X pod last night and they asked, who does Mina cheer for?
He's like, me, duh.
I don't care what team she works for.
So just thought that was really sweet.
ah yeah, go give them a follow.
Also, Mina was like, girl, you'll never guess the age difference between us.
(53:44):
So like, go do your homework and see if you can figure out what the age difference isbetween Grant and Mina and it will make you an even bigger Grant Harlan fan.
So that's just a little nuggy for free.
And then because I promised it, we're going to chat.
danger versus donuts, danger V donuts.
So when I posted this graphic yesterday, someone's like, do you know it's versus not V?
(54:05):
And I'm like, first of all, first of all, versus is like a fight, which applies here.
But a V is a court case, like the state versus whoever V.
I work for a company that is one of the largest legal software sellers in the country.
I see this a lot.
You're like, you don't know how to use versus.
So we are danger V donuts because
(54:29):
It's going to get nasty.
So we also Jets behemoth of a security guard.
Deegan shares a picture of.
Jack or Craig and what is he doing, Katie?
Being his cute little self, but you know, it's just I saw that and I was like slow claplike truly slow clap because the Deegan marketing machine never stops, you know?
(54:57):
Like it's incredible.
yeah, I mean, I'm not surprised, but it's just like he loves to add gas to the fire.
He loves to stir the pot.
Yep.
And if this is the type of content that we're gonna have for the next year before Haydenand Jet meet outdoors, like, I'm here for it.
Like, give me a full year of this.
Yeah, I'm excited to see Degan 450 next supercross, or next motocross next year.
(55:22):
Yeah, I cannot wait.
crazy because they're not even in the same class yet.
They're in complete separate camps and Deegan still does that.
Like I can see if know, Jet or Deegan was in 450s right now and they've already had someraces together, but it was just so far out of left field, but I'm not surprised.
No, I'm not surprised either.
(55:43):
ah Jagger, Paige said Jagger just trying to patrol the track, but ended up as the nextmeme.
And I'm like, really?
If this had been planned, I mean, I'm sure it was, but if it had really been planned, theyhad to put Lennon in and Lennon would have already shot somebody.
Like, she'd have like give Lennon the airsoft gun just in case, not a real one.
(56:03):
But no, I love this.
mean, Hayden said he captured it tough as F?
and the hashtag security.
it's like, OK, we know exactly what it was.
We know what you're doing.
And like, Loki, like I'm here for it.
If you want to talk smack on the alien for a year, like give me a year build up.
I'm so here for it.
So that's my my danger versus donut rant of the week.
(56:25):
Good job.
Oh, well, you know what?
It has been a content heavy week around here for Real Housewives of Moto.
I've gotten such good feedback on the Brady pod.
I love getting to speak mental health into the universe, like good positive mental healthstories.
(56:45):
oh I love that word.
You killed it.
You it was amazing.
Thank you.
Um, she was, she was a delight.
So I've, I've just been just so grateful for the feedback I've gotten on that.
Um, from the girlies, the girlies who get it, the girlies who know, um, so I'm to work onthat.
I'm going to work on getting that up on YouTube or at least some clips because it wasjust, it was too good.
(57:09):
So, um, otherwise got some really great feedback on motocross versus supercross pod wheregirls were like, Hey, I this entire episode to my friend who I'm like, I really want her
to watch dirt bikes, but she doesn't get it.
So I'm like, Oh, well, we're happy to help you.
grow the sport and do some homework for you.
uh Other stuff around podcast world, we've had a few new members to our Discord.
(57:31):
Welcome.
If you are not already on our Discord, please hit the link in my bio on Real Housewives ofModo.
And the super secret password is buttpatchpatrol.
Buttpatchpatrol.
So come on over.
We're going to be patrolling buttpatches all summer.
Chase is again, was a hang ten, just boring.
So it's okay.
We'll get some better ones.
(57:52):
but we will be watching those all summer.
Also, we are gonna have some stickers coming.
I'm so excited.
We had lots of friends asking for stickers.
I love that, you guys.
That makes me so happy that you guys wanna support the pod and share the female Moto love,so we'll have some stickers coming.
I'm tinkering on some hats um just cause like I wanna be able to like find our Motosisters when we go to races, you know?
(58:13):
So I'm like, this is a very niche following.
So if you're here, welcome.
We have snacks and we might have hats soon.
uh
Well, cool deal Katie.
What is your plan for Hang Town this weekend and who are your picks?
Well, we have a retirement party to go to so I'm thinking watch the first two motos Liveand then I'm debating just having it on in the car I feel like motocross is a little more
(58:41):
relaxed where you don't need your eyes glued to the TV So I'm thinking of that because I'mjust I can't wait, you know Like we can watch it and we get home, but I'm just too antsy I
get too nervous
You know, I delete all the apps off my phone so I don't see or, you know, I'm so big onspoilers.
ah so yeah, I wish I could just stay home and watch it, but I know I.
(59:08):
and watch it and nobody respects me, so it's okay.
Like my kids are like, why do you care about this?
I'm like, go away.
My dad texted me to go to Hangtown?
and I said, no, not in 102.
I'll pass.
no, no, I agree with that.
really, we are, we are trying to get Allie to Salt Lake for SMX.
(59:29):
I think that one might be more doable, but I'm like, if I'm going to go to an outdoors, like what's the farthest north?
I really do think it might be West Shugal.
Like if I'm going to go to one this summer, cause it just seems like it's pretty, it seemslike it's far enough north that we're not going to get hit with crazy heat, which like
don't come at me if like crazy heats in the eighties, like in Texas in July, it'll be like113.
So like NorCal, NorCal is going to get hit hard.
(59:50):
So.
I definitely want to come to some outdoors, um tinkering with the idea of maybe a meetupat a race next year.
We'll see.
there are funner locations, funner locations on the menu next year, then we might do that.
Otherwise, you guys can just come to Arlington.
Everybody can come to Arlington and hang at my house.
Real Housewives of Modo pool party.
(01:00:11):
That'd be so fun.
far as my picks, I mean, I'm just going to keep it simple.
I'm going to go Eli and Deegan.
You know, I wrote mine down so that's what you can, you can check me on this while youcan't see it because it's blurry.
I wrote Eli and Deegan too.
I, maybe I'm just like riding the high of my manifestation powers with Brady.
(01:00:33):
Like I'm going to manifest an Eli win.
I want it.
we have to.
Yeah, he has some points that he needs to make up.
I could see it.
I really could see it.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna.
very bouncy in the back, so I feel like they're going to figure that out.
He's good at hang town.
I feel like we're going to see a lot of setup changes for people at Hangtown.
(01:00:55):
I feel like we're going to see the scoop a little bit more.
Like those who did not run the scoop might.
And then 250s.
I mean, you can't, you can't bet against Hayden.
Maybe we should just ask what our, what our second place 250 pick would be.
So who's your, who's your second place?
I, I'm going to say with my heart, I'm going to go Joe show.
(01:01:15):
Yeah, that's a good one.
I'll do different though.
I will go BL.
All right, VL.
Okay, so VL's number two, Ally's number two is Jojo.
I can work with that, so.
All right, friends, well, we hope you enjoy this ah Justin Brayton pod episode 10.

But thank you guys so much for just engaging with us and asking good questions and umchatting with me here.
It's such a delight.
Like last week when we didn't get to record, my life felt incomplete.
So thanks for being a part of that, Katie.
I'm so, this makes me so happy.
So I get my iced coffee.
I get to chat.
My favorite thing in the world.
And we just get to have great listeners.
(01:02:19):
Just listen to us.
What do we say?
Shoot the poop.
Cause we can't cuss.
Yeah.
we're working on making sure my mouth is cleaner because I dropped a few S-bombs and I waslistening to it in the car.
My kids are like, why'd you say a potty word?
I'm like, that's a good question.
Dang it.
Shoot the poop.
We're here for it.
daughter, she's five, and she goes, mommy, I don't like the letter P.
(01:02:42):
She goes, because it starts with P and poop.
Five-year-old logic.
That is big five-year-old logic.
goodness.
We'll be at Margo's graduation today with a bunch of five-year-olds.
So I'll be thinking of you guys.
Oh, lovely.
Well, we will be around this weekend in some way, sure, before I'm my stream ofconsciousness is what I'm going to call it.
(01:03:09):
Somebody asked me if I broadcast on the weekends and I was like, I'd hardly call what I doa broadcast.
I think it's more like a word vomit.
But yeah.
Give us a follow if you like word vomit.
And we'll be back in your ears soon.
Thanks, Katie.
Thank you, bye.
Bye.
