(00:00):
Hey friends and welcome back to another episode of Real Housewives of Modo.
This is Lucky1313 and we're doing video today.
So if you were listening to this on Spotify, go on over to YouTube if I have my acttogether and check us out on YouTube because the youths, the people that are much younger
than us, than us millennial moms watch their podcasts.

(00:24):
This is a weird thing to me.
But pulp is doing it and I actually I really like enjoying I enjoy watching pulp lastnight like filthy was on and get into they had a They had a f-word encounter in the top
right hand corner.
So I get it.
We we like video This is Katie my co-host over there.

(00:44):
She is in so Cal and I am in Nordau, North Dallas um and Yeah, we just wanted to kind oflevel set with who we are
in this podcast and what we're doing here.
But um we have been dedicating our numbers of episodes to writer numbers.
um And I stupidly did not think of any um number 13s.
And then we did a little bit of research.

(01:04):
And number 13, as unsuperstitious as I am, 13 is a little bit cursed.
Like we found some like not so nice things.
uh So ah Jesse Nelson was running the 13 when he had his wreck and his spinal cord injuryin 2016.
Blake Wharton was running the 13.
in 2013 and was the best year of his life, his career.

(01:27):
So that was a good one.
But then trivia for you guys, RC ran it in 1999, one time.
When and where was it?
So if you are following along, give us a shout out with this answer on either Instagram orDiscord.
Come join our Discord.
There's a link in the bio on Instagram.
The super secret password is buttpatchpatrol.

(01:48):
All one word, butt.
patch patrol because we're patrolling the webs for good butt patches.
We had a few this weekend.
So anywho, what a level set about what we're doing here.
We are not Moto Media.
We are definitely not Moto Bro Media because I feel like that is what our sport has.
We are something a little bit different.
Just a little bit.

(02:09):
Katie and I both uh work full time jobs.
We are both moms.
um This is a side project, a passion project that we've been talking about forever.
And so I'm so glad that it's getting to see the light of day, but wanted to really umoutline like what we're trying to do here.
I started this with the intention of like building a female community um that love Motoand also like want to tell the stories of moms and wives and girlfriends and female riders

(02:32):
and basically just like the team ovaries of Moto.
Team ovaries, this is I'm doing on camera, team ovaries.
That's what we are.
ah And like my new standard that I'm kind of like filtering this through is like what I'mputting out in the internet about moto like does it entertain I'd like to think most of
the time we're pretty entertaining Does it educate you know are we educating viewersspecifically women about moto?

(02:55):
ah And does it help to build a female community whether you are a female writer or femalefan a mom of a writer a mom of mechanic whatever
And our new standard our new standard that we are setting is like does it pass the KathyTomax standard because I just feel like the Tomax I mean, we love the Tomax here.
We love them and Kathy Tomax just to me is like You did you did something right foreverything in your family to just be so beautiful Yeah, so little bit about me and then I

(03:22):
want Katie to reintroduce herself hello, my name is Allie
And I work in marketing, nine to five, and in content operations, actually.
So I kind of like build systems for creatives to be more creative.
So you'll hear a lot of times I can't check myself, my job at the door.
And so when I see poorly laid out marketing in, in moto, it kind of like grinds me on likemultiple levels.

(03:46):
um But I have two kids, they do not race.
We don't even own bikes right now.
That's a whole thing.
It's like, you know, finances and things like that.
But
My husband raced BMX.
My son is kind of getting into mountain biking and BMX.
So lots of moto and BMX on our sides.
was born and raised in Tallahassee, which is funny because Tallahassee is now becominglike the moto Mecca of the East Coast.

(04:08):
ah And so I'm really excited to like go home in the near future and just be like, can Irun into somebody at Chipotle?
But with this podcast, like I really, I want to bring like, I wrote this in my notes.
I want to bring the energy of Adam Intignap and F1's Will Bruxton.
The seven deuce deuce is everybody's hype king.

(04:29):
oh The energy, I love it.
And I want to bring that to the female side of Motto.
And then Will Bruxton, he has some really dumb takes in F1.
He's like, the first one to the finish line will win.
Well, yeah, no duh.
But he loves a little drama, but he really loves the sport.
And I'm like, that's me.
That's me.
So I have rambled on long enough.
We are five minutes in, and Katie.

(04:51):
The listeners have barely heard you.
Who are you?
And what are you about?
I'm Katie.
I live in Acton, California.
I am a special education teacher for high school students.
I work for an online program where kids can attend high school from home.
So that means I get to work from home.

(05:11):
I have a five-year-old daughter and a husband.
As far as writing goes, my husband races, like local races at Glen Helen, LACR when theywere open.
Gorman, he just joined certain clubs and will do the five rounds or whatever.
My daughter, we have her on a Stasek right now.
We have a little track on our backyard.

(05:31):
Yeah, I got into racing.
I grew up around it.
I feel like I was born into it.
My first time out at Cal City camping so my family can ride dirt bikes.
I was literally two weeks old.
uh I grew up on Sundays just going with my dad to all of his races.
My mom raced for a few years.
uh
Being at a track is my comfort zone, my safe space.

(05:54):
It's nostalgia.
My family, we're watching the races on Saturdays.
We all have barbecues and pool parties.
It's a very big part of my life.
I love talking about it.
I love hearing about it.
Allie and I finally met each other.

(06:15):
It was like love at first moto.
Absolutely, it's so true.
Um, and yeah, I'm just here to like tag along and watch Ali build her empire.
And I like to have a take here too.
Um, but.
excellent one liners if you're new here.
Katie has excellent one liners.
It's my joy.

(06:36):
Moto is my joy.
I look at these riders as if they're like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise and, you know, new kidson the block, Backstreet Boys, like Eli, Ken, AP, Chase, Jet.
Like that is like the equalizer for me.
Like I admire them.
I look up to them.

(06:56):
I'm not going to ever rate like and I don't really ride either.
I if we go camping, I go on a trail ride one or two.
But that's about it.
And yeah, I'm just really honored that Allie brought me along.
Well, mean, thus far I have not met personally.
I am now meeting in my DMs on Real Housewives of Modo on Instagram.

(07:17):
I'd never met anybody who could match my like weird female psychosis obsession with thissport until I met Katie.
And I was like, one day I was like, hey, what do think about maybe doing a pod with me?
Like, could you like drop some notes and like just what you would want to talk about?
And Katie's like, yeah, done.
Here's a dissertation on all the tea I want to know about all these families.
And I was like, oh, we're going to be a match.
Like we're a match.

(07:39):
yeah, I feel like I've known you like my whole life.
It's crazy.
And I'm so thankful.
We met through Main Event Moto.
I've got a friend that literally lives like a mile down the street that Katie got to meetthis weekend.
So we had three people in real life from Main Event Moto that literally just met becausewe follow this Moto podcast and like dirt bikes.
um So I think it's pretty special.

(07:59):
It is.
Yeah, it takes one thing to have in common to build like a lifelong bond with someone, youknow?
It's just, we need happiness and a little joy in our life.
And I feel like this is our little joy.
And the Modo community is special.
It's unique, you know?
You don't run into people.
You know, you go to a restaurant, everyone's there to watch football.

(08:21):
You know, they all have that in common, but it's very, it's...
An extra level special, I think, when you meet someone that is in the Moto community, youknow?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
And I think that like even, you both of us, don't, we don't race.
Like we don't, we don't ride.
mean, let's, know, like trail rides, things like that.
Um, nobody cares.
Like they're just like, yeah, they're a diehard and they got hot takes.

(08:42):
And, know, every so often we decide we're going to, you know, post like 10 slides of hotriders, but you know, like you don't have to race to be in the moto.
mean, it's kind of the same thing about F1.
It's like, you don't have to drive a Ferrari to be in F1.
So I think it's, it's just been really cool to like,
put some female energy out there.
And it definitely hasn't all been positive.
Like, let's be real, like I've been called some really nasty things and messages.

(09:03):
And, um you know, at end of the day, I just, think there's something a little bit wrongwith me because I do love clapping back like a lot.
Like I will sit and think about a clap back for way too long.
And then I get so excited at like the perfect clap back.
So there's something a little bit wrong with me, but yeah, I love it.
I love this space that we've created.
Like I said, we've got the discord going.
um I will be at Vegas.

(09:23):
Katie is most likely going to be at Vegas.
And so I want to do more, um like I want to do a race meetup.
I had posted in our stories about getting a suite because Katie came to the suite partythat I planned for Main Event Moto in 23.
Was that 23?
Yeah.
um So like that was really fun.
Excuse me.
My Diet Coke wants to talk.
That was really fun.
And I would like to do that for our Roamies, for our Real Housewives of Moto Homies.

(09:47):
So TBD on that.
Which speaking of our Romy's, um I should have kept them closer to me, we have the firstbatch of stickers, which of course I can't find.
But it is this lovely logo.
um I'm not thrilled with the print quality, so I'm gonna continue to tweak that.
But if you would like a first edition Romy's sticker, please give us a follow on Instagramat Real Housewives of Modo.

(10:10):
And it is in the link tree in my bio.
They're just gonna come via snail mail with a stamp on it.
Drop your info there.
am going to ask you if you listen to the pod and I am going to ask you if you follow us.
So if for some reason you don't do either one of those and you want a sticker, that's kindof weird.
So stickers are here.
Yay.
So jumping right into, oh, they're so cute.

(10:30):
Like they're perfect.
They're like they're I think they're two and a half inches in diameter.
And so I have two MacBooks and I was waiting until I got these stickers and I slapped themright over the Apple logo.
So they perfectly cover an Apple logo on a 16 inch and an 11 inch MacBook.
That's some niche content right there.
So this weekend, uh Katie and her husband and her daughter uh came to Texas.

(10:53):
Katie has one of her best friends who lives like 10 miles from me.
it's so weird.
I know, and Dallas is huge.
Jordan, shout out Jordan.
He moved there three years ago, this month actually.
ah So I try to go visit about every two months, thanks to Spirit Airlines.

(11:13):
That's embarrassing to say, but that's how I go so much.
Fly Spirit, become a spirit.
I love that.
Yeah, Katie was like, you like tagged something like where you were.
And I was like, that's like two miles from my house.
Like, what are you doing?
And so then we figured out that we're really, really close.
So now she gets to come to in split time.
So sorry, Jordan, that you don't get her 100 % now.

(11:34):
You can have her 51.
I'll take her 49.
But.
This weekend was so fun because we got to watch races in person and um we didn't actuallypost a ton of content together because I was just having too much fun.
I just wanted to hang out and watch the races and um our daughters were playing togetherand just being little feral five-year-olds.
My husband came home with my son and the husbands joined us.

(11:57):
um It was so funny after you guys left, I was like, what do you think?
And they were like, my gosh, I feel like we've known them forever.
It was like same thing we're talking about now.
He goes,
But I thought you were kidding that Katie leaves the room when the 450s start.
And I was like, nope.
So Katie, tell us what you actually do when the 450s start.
Well, I won't watch because I have PTSD from 23 Denver.

(12:18):
I think that's what it is because I used to not be like that.
I used to be like, oh yeah, whatever happens happens.
But yeah, I can't watch.
I don't know why.
But I also like at my husband's races or when my dad race, it's just so nerve wracking.
Like they're all so close together.
So I just kind of like to just someone tell me where Eli is.

(12:41):
So I don't freak out.
But I left there thinking like, gosh, Ali's husband thinks he hates me.
Like I'm psycho.
Because when Eli crashed, I reacted.
Like I just, I downward spiral.
were in physical pain when Eli crashed because of how you yelled.
I was like, who hurt her?
Who punched her?

(13:01):
I know, I need to work on it.
I need to calm down because I don't know him.
No, no, you absolutely do not.
Let your moto freak flag fly.
That's no, don't ever don't dampen your light for anybody, especially, especially myhusband who half the time doesn't even watch the races back anymore.
You know, I'm telling him like I'm going to California or going to Vegas solo and he'slike, well, I guess I'll stay home.

(13:22):
And I'm like, you made this monster.
Like I'm Frankenstein.
You created this is what I keep saying to him.
So
like, what?
It's Saturday.
The race is on.
This is how she always is.
uh
you know, I'm now, you know, having to do the podcast and paying, you know, closerattention because we're taking notes and things like that.
I'm like, keep telling my kids, I'm like, no, it's work now, you know, like this ismommy's work.

(13:44):
But it's not, not, we don't make a dollar off this.
I don't know if I said that in our intro, but like we're, as of right now, we are notdoing any paid sponsorships.
You don't hear any commercials.
There's some things in the, you know, in the background that might be happening, but as ofright now, like, no, we do this because it's a passion project and we love it.
Yeah, brings her joy.
It does bring us joy and it was so fun to watch the races together.

(14:05):
um It was a good one.
ah You have been to Thunder Valley for designations, correct?
No, night race.
Yes, that's what it was.
Yes.
And I corrected myself and I have been to the track at Thunder Valley when we were drivingthrough Denver and I was like, we gotta go to Lakewood.
It's like right there.
So we have been there, but nobody was there.

(14:26):
So it's not cool.
um
But I was a little worried.
When the weather rolled in on Friday, it was hailing.
mean, they got dumped on.
I was talking to a few friends that were there on Friday, and they were just like, yeah,it's wet.
So I was a little nervous.
mean, all weekend you're hearing altitude, altitude, altitude.
The Omaha's are going to pull, blah, um But then Saturday morning, we wake up, and it'slike beautiful chocolate cake.

(14:51):
So it looked great.
What did you think?
Yeah, looked like your real, the Matilda chocolate cake that the kid eats.
Yeah.
niche moto humor there.
shout out to the girls that got it.
I posted the picture of the kid eating the chocolate cake in Matilda and I was like, thisis going to be Eli today.

(15:11):
Uh.
So yeah, that one, that one made me nervous, but then, I mean, it was really, it ended upbeing great racing.
Um, the women's race that was at the end, we'll get to that.
It's on our list.
Um, I was terrified for them because that track was beat to hell at the end.
that's crazy.
They made them go last.
Yeah.
And even the, the two fifties, mean, so we went four 50 first because it was on NBC.

(15:34):
Um, so even the four fifties going first, that last moto, the fourth one for the twofifties, like even those guys, they never see tracks like that because they usually go
first and outdoors.
So that one made me a little nervous.
So two fifties, uh, chance, I miss broke the, perfect season talk for Hayden.
I am so excited.
I'm so happy.

(15:54):
So petty, but I'm like, I could not, I could not listen to perfect season talk.
I know, it gets so old.
I know.
So Jett and Hayden off the board for perfect season.
Thank the Lord.
Like, let's blow the doors open.
So chance uh number 10 uh was a perfect 10.
I mean, he was fastest qualifier.
He was fastest in practice.
I mean, all the things.

(16:15):
I think he, did he hole shot both too?
I'd have to look that back up, but he might have.
And you know, that's where he did good last year, so.
Yep.
So yeah, perfect 10 for the number 10.
Chanthymus goes 1-1 for the overall.
uh Hayden comes in 2-2.
We'll come back to you, Hayden.
We'll come back.
Levi Kitchen goes 8-3 for three overall.

(16:36):
Garrett Marchbanks, the sexy caveman, goes 3-8.
So the opposite of Levi for fourth.
And Tom Beall went 6-5 for fifth.
So a few things coming from this.
I think the biggest one is Hayden Degin's um pouting.
temper tantrum, like what would you call it?
Like what?

(16:56):
Yeah, yeah, I'd say that too.
It was a little weird.
It was a little weird.
I've seen some like non-official media come out, know, like Yamaha, they put out somegreat behind the scenes this weekend.
If you're not following Yamaha, like whoever's doing that, like kudos.
So I've seen other ones where it's like, just like a fan or whatever and like, yeah, he'sthrowing a little bit of a poop fit, because we're not saying that word.

(17:19):
allegedly Bobby Reagan had to get involved and break something up.
Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.
Yeah, I don't know, maybe Duff, but then I found this other one where, you know, there's asuspension guy, there's all these guys that also work on the bike that it could have fell
on, so maybe not Duff.

(17:40):
This was all alleged.
This is just what I've been seeing in the feeds.
Yeah.
I saw somewhere on X today where people were like, Duff, what was the word?
Duff sabotaged Hayden or something like that.
was like, are you out of your mind?
Like Duff gets paid when Hayden wins.
Why would like, are you kidding me?
So yeah, I thought that was insane.
And people being like, yeah, it was all the, it was all the star bikes and da da da da.

(18:02):
was all the mechanics.
And to your point, Katie, yeah, there's motor guys, there's suspension guys.
Like there's so many hands that touch those bikes.
And, and I mean, they're, they're a work of art.
There's so many moving pieces, no pun intended.
Um, and they're at altitude and there's like a thousand star bikes on the, the startinggrid, you know.
Michael Mosman's bike blew up too.
Yeah, yep.

(18:24):
uh yeah, Duff is sabotaging Hayden is just like the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
So I mean, I get it.
Hayden is a gritty competitor.
I know he doesn't like to lose.
um We used to say like back in my rowing days, back when I was rowing in college, likewe'd rather get third than get second because at least third you had something to work
for.
Second, it was just like a toss up.
But this was not getting second as a toss up.

(18:45):
Like, Hymas smacked him.
Like, Hymas was on it.
So.
Yeah, take that electrolytes deficiency.
my gosh.
And you know what's funny is like, think that that, I think that that was a slip up whenChance was interviewed.
Like I think he meant to say he was dehydrated.
wasn't like he's actually saying like, I have a deficiency of electrolytes.
Like, I don't think that's what he was saying, but ah yeah, I think that was a, I thinkthat that came back to bite him in the butt, but you know what?

(19:12):
It fueled, it fueled Hayden and Hayden still couldn't beat him.
So perfect season off the table.
Thank you.
Thank you, Chance.
Thank you.
Thank you, baby duckling.
yeah.
um Other things to note in the two fifties, the sexy caveman, Mr.
Garrett Marchbanks gets a fourth and was skipped out for his interview.
It was very sad.

(19:32):
Did you see that?
Yeah, because they ran out of time.
So what was his response on pulp?
So I haven't watched.
Yeah.
So Steve or Phil, I can't remember who, know, Phil is a big fan of Garrett.
He calls him G.
I think it's so cute.
it's so cute.
I love like the, I know I love that.
I know there's like a few of them kind of popping up.
Like I think like the Lawrence's and Seth, um maker of Ham.

(19:54):
um So I love that vibe, but he handled it like a pro.
Like he was like, you know, I think Steve said, were you let down?
He was like, yeah, I was let down.
You know, like this is one of the best rides of my life.
And um so that was a bummer, but um
He was very like, you could tell he was pissed, but he was also let down and really couldhave been like, F the broadcast and jump on that bandwagon and he didn't take the bait.

(20:17):
So I was like, good job, sexy caveman, made me a bigger fan.
at them, I'm disappointed in them.
There you go.
That's even worse.
We know that as a parent, disappointment's way worse than anger.
um Speaking of parents, I had the pleasure of getting connected to Sky Manier, which isCade Manier's mama.
Cade Manier is from Australia and this weekend was his first pro race.

(20:39):
He's done the combines, he's done Loretta's.
um DB was involved in bringing him over here and the kid is unreal.
um He went 8-12 for 16th overall.
um
and those numbers, honestly, like he, I was impressed anytime he was on camera, like helooked great.
Um, he's got a lot to learn obviously with hanging with those guys, but the 1812 for 16thdoesn't reflect like how well I think he did.

(21:03):
Um, and there was, I shared it in my stories and I'll go back and link it again, but therewas a really great article on like, um, sky, his mama and their family.
And I'm so glad that they were able to come and like fly all the way over here.
And it's funny.
I was like, are you guys awake?
Like you jet lagged and she was like, yeah, we just hit the gym.
And I was like, Oh, you are a breed apart.
Like you just flew here from.
Australia and you hit the gym.
Like, are you a Carmichael?
Like, so I thought that was really cool.

(21:26):
and, I mean, the Aussies, like the Aussies are killing us.
Like real talk.
I mean, even, even like in women's like Charlie Cannon, like, mean, she, she's a baddie.
We're going to get to her too, but the Aussies are coming for us hard.
Um, one of our, one of our, our
Moto brethren, Ozzy Steve shared some footage that he has of Kayden when he was racing andit is a gem.

(21:51):
And so I know, I know I'm not, I'm not going to give it away, but Ozzy Steve is going todrop that one when the time is right of, of Kayden.
And it is so good.
It made me love him even more.
So shout out to Ozzy Steve of RIDO Moto media.
I love it.
He's just kind of launched a, a new brand under RIDO.
And I just think that's such a fun name for an Ozzy.
So yeah, two fifties, two fifties were good.

(22:12):
Hayden can't run the perfect season.
So I'm happy.
Yeah.
Good, good for us.
Um, anything else on two fifties that I, didn't touch on him trying to.
Mikkel Harrop went seven 13 for nine, kind of keeping an eye on him because you know, he'snever done this before.
That's cool.
Um,
Yeah.
Nothing, nothing crazy to write home about.

(22:34):
we've got, we just got a lot of like really young kids that I'm excited about.
I'm thinking about like Lux Turner, love the Turner family.
Um, Avery long, guess Avery's not a, not a baby, but, um, Alexander Fetterstaff, the onefrom club.
That's like half Russian, half Floridian 24, 23.
Um, so just a lot of good talent coming up.
Like we're, we're, in, we're, we're set up well.

(22:54):
So all good stuff.
Yeah.
So move on to the big boys, big bikes.
So we had another one, one from the Jet Lawrence.
ah Just, I don't even know like how many different ways we can say it.
I don't have the vocabulary for it.
He did not look good in qualifying, you know?
I was just...

(23:15):
I think I put him fourth on my fantasy picks and I don't know.
I will forever put him first.
It's a safe call.
I'm in.
Eli to win and I always think my reverse psychology will work, but...
I know it's a hard one, but no, one-one.
ah Jacob was like a second and a half ahead of him in qualifying.

(23:38):
Like Jacob put out some bangers and then nothing in the mains.
I mean, I was like.
terrible the first moto.
He was what, six?
see, what did he do?
Let's see.
Five, three.
So he did get top five.
He got fourth.
He went five, three for fourth overall.
But yeah, like, I mean, by like a second, I think it was 1.3 seconds.

(24:00):
I should have pulled it up, but like, I mean, not like a split hair over Jet, like foundsomething.
And again, I'm on the J.Coupe train.
Like he's gonna get one one of these days.
I am sure of it.
Which side note?
It's the only thing.
Thinking J.Coupe to Jillian, his wife.
um I put on her Instagram last night, was like, send me something just like unhingedopinions.

(24:23):
And I will never name names or sources, but someone said, did you know that Hayden Deeganand Jillian's little sister had a thing?
And I was like, say what?
Like, did I miss that?
TikTok, but it was like a year ago.
I mean, I don't know that like a thing means a relationship.
I think it means like a situationship.
um But I mean, they're living in Tallahassee.

(24:45):
somebody, what is her maiden name?
I need to go creep on this.
They're living in Tallahassee.
I was born and raised in Tallahassee.
It is the capital city, but like it's a very small town and like Hayden is very famous andvery rich.
So like, he's gotta be like building a roster, so to speak.
So, but I didn't know that.
I honestly like...
I didn't follow Hayden's amateur career until like, know, claim gate at Loretta's.

(25:08):
Like I, you know, I just, wasn't that.
We quickly forget about that, but that was like a thing, you know?
Yeah.
I've met several people who've been like, I didn't pay attention to two fifties untilclaim gate.
was like, what do mean two fifties?
Like you didn't pay attention to like the other half of the sport.
um But yeah, so that was strange.
um But yeah, I, I can't wait.

(25:30):
you know, because Jillian, you know, obviously they're close.
Hayden went to their wedding.
Jillian does TikToks with Hayden's younger brother.
Like they're definitely very like family friends.
So, and Jillian, Jillian's, I think it's got, gotchic.
No, that's not it.

(25:50):
It starts with a G.
I know that.
I'm putting it down for my super sleuth after this.
So yeah, like it would make sense.
Like Jillian is stunning.
So obviously, I mean, she has really pretty friends from all of her videos.
So I'm not surprised at all if he bounces around.
Allegedly.
Alleg- We can't get sued.

(26:11):
Allegedly.
No, we cannot get sued.
um So yes, Jett goes 1-1 for the overall.
Eli goes 3-2 for second.
AP goes 2-5 for third.
J.Coupe, 5-3 for fourth.
Hunter Lawrence goes 4-4 for fifth.
m AP looked phenomenal.
mean, straight up dropped Jett.

(26:35):
When have we seen that?
Like, have we ever seen that outdoors?
I don't think so.
I don't think so, because mean, last year was perfect.
yeah, except for Hank town the week before when AP and Eli left him.
Yeah.
So that was wild.
mean, I was at that point, Katie and I were both having a full blown panic attack, like inthe best way.

(26:58):
was exciting because you didn't expect that.
You expect Eli to do that, but not AP.
So it's really exciting.
uh needs to go.
Like, Carrot is dangling.
Yes, dangle dangle.
um When I get like super excited or overwhelmed, I flap, which we can't see because mygreen screen is doing weird things.

(27:18):
And so I was like full in flap mode, like about to take off because I'm like, what ishappening?
Like Eli's going down, AP is passing Jett, Jett isn't getting first in qualifying.
Like there was a lot of like really weird things happening in the 450s.
And I'm so here for it.
Like I'm so here for it.
yeah, it's not a snooze fest like in other classes right now.

(27:40):
I can I can give you that one.
Let's see other things the yes the blue crew video that came out of Eli and the kids andJessica.
Oh This is all you take it away Katie
It's unhealthy the amount of times I have shown everyone and have watched that video.
I love the Eli calling Luca Pookie in his baby voice, like, come here, Pookie.

(28:08):
And then the way Jessica looks over at him, his wife, the way uh he pats Lev on the headand she hands him his Monster Energy drink.
There's a clip of Lars and Eli talking.
I'm like, that's neat.
Like, we don't see that, you know?
It was probably just small talk while they're uh surrounding the podium, you know?

(28:28):
But it was like, that's so neat that, you know, they talk.
Can you imagine if Honda had just unlimited budget and they could have Eli, Jed, andHunter?
Can you imagine?
My brain kind of hurts trying to picture that.
I'm like, just, I, yeah.
I don't know that I actually like that.
two zaddies just talking and just hearing the crowd.

(28:52):
It's finally a good hometown race because he's had crap luck the last two years in hishome state.
So it was just nice to get a rebound.
then ah I listened to Swapmoto and then um Don asked Eli like,
do have any other nicknames besides ET3?
And he goes, I don't think so.

(29:14):
He goes, they used to tell me they used to call me Hurricane when I did mountain biking.
then Eli went on this random tangent.
Have you seen this?
Eli go, Eli goes on this random tangent.
He goes, kind of like I know someone else that's a hurricane.
He goes, my youngest son is like Tasmanian devil trashing the motor home all day.

(29:37):
And I'm just.
talking about Luca?
Oh my gosh.
Eli never talks in detail, you know, he's so private.
But the fact that he, it was really neat to see him change that little nickname questioninto relating to his kids.
I love that, that's so sweet.
um I'm absolutely well as soon as we're done recording.

(30:00):
um I had the delight of um connecting with someone in the Tomac camp, and shout out tothis person.
And they reminded me of this bell helmet video that John Tomac did.
um I'm gonna share it, I'm gonna link it, because at the end of it I was just slowclapping, just being like, this is beautiful, I love this family even more.
It was just great, and it talked about if you're

(30:22):
you're cheating, what's the point?
And what's the point of being a competitor if it's not about family and the company youkeep and basically the value of your name?
um But it got me thinking, if the Rumblings were hearing about going to KTM or true, whichwe'll get there, Johnny Hopper's comment, good question to AP, we'll get there.
um But does Eli leave Bell for Red Bull helmet?

(30:43):
I need to go back and check this.
I don't know if the Red Bull helmet deal is a 450 team thing with KTM.
So maybe he could bring Belle with him, but I don't know.
what?
I can't see it.
I feel like they'll bend a lot for Eli.
Maybe he'll keep, what'll he keep, monster?
That might be a dumb question, but.

(31:04):
I don't know, that's the biggest one.
That's what everybody's talking about.
They're like, how do you do that where it's like, it's a Red Bull team, but Monster is apersonal sponsor of Eli, so I don't know.
Yeah, it's, yeah, I don't know.
just, I think they're so loyal and everyone has so much respect for the Tomac family.
I mean, they're royalty.

(31:25):
They're like the royal family in Modo.
So I feel like, yeah, if anyone can bend the rules, it's going to be Eli and he'll be ableto keep his big sponsors other than the bite color.
Yeah, yeah, that's true.
I mean, at least I hope so.
And even like, you know, we've heard that he's been shopping for a two year deal.
Like if he gets a two year deal at KTM, like let's say this is the end of, of his AMAcareer.

(31:47):
Like if he goes on to do world supercross, like I could totally see him going back toYamaha, going back to Monster as a personal sponsor.
It's just like maybe Monster's like, yeah, cool.
We'll get a two year break from paying Eli.
They probably would enjoy saving some cash, you know?
So.
seem to be really any ill will right now.
You know, like Eli's riding in the little go-kart with the manager.
They high five and handshake after the race.

(32:09):
uh Eli looks happier than ever.
You know, like I don't think he's butthurt.
Like maybe they just understand the situation from a business perspective and there reallyis no ill will.
Like maybe Eli will come back and be a Blue Crew ambassador.
when he retires.
I can just kind of sense, like obviously we don't know what goes on behind closed doors.

(32:32):
This is all alleged, but right now I just don't see any tension.
You know, usually can see tension from a mile away and there hasn't been from what I'veseen.
like tension, like not coming to races and not disclosing if you actually have injuries.
Looking at you, Chase, looking at you.
Exactly.
Like you can see the tension on the screen with that situation.

(32:53):
yeah, I got sent the Ricky Bobby meme that I can't remember which moto meme account I'msorry shout out to all the moment moto meme accounts But I got sent that one so many times
of like where they're talking about Ricky Bobby and they're like This is this is Roger andthis is Ian good.
It's so good.
It's so good So I'll have to I'll share it in the stories on on Instagram, but yeah, Idon't I don't think there's any ill will there either
Yeah, and I can't, kind of am more warming up to the idea of Eli going to KTM.

(33:17):
I'm in denial still, like there's still a part of me that hoping something works out withYamaha, but it doesn't look that way.
But Jay Dungey might be Eli's mechanic if, you know, that would just make sense if Chasegoes to KTM.
AP has like what, three, two, three kids.

(33:38):
Three.
Yep.
Eli has three kids, there's gonna be a bunch of Cabbage Patch kids running around thosepits.
Like, that'd be really fun to see them as teammates.
I would like to volunteer as a daycare coordinator to keep our, one, to hang out withthem, but two, to keep our Moto gods in the sport longer.
I'm CPR certified.

(34:00):
I used to work in birth.
I love birth.
It is my secondary passion behind Moto, which is, poor Brady.
Brady was such a G.
I was like, I'm going to ask you about your birth story, because I can't not, because Iwant to ask everyone that comes on here that has kids what their birth story is.
um
die if Jade was Eli's mechanic.
uh I have so much KTM merch from the Dungy days that I'm like, I need to revive this.

(34:25):
It's been a hot minute.
I'll wear it for AP.
But it's been a long time since, other than Chase, I felt like I had really deep KTM rootsto cheer for.
I could totally, I mean, obviously I could get behind Eli, but Eli-Jade combo, I'm herefor that.
Big time.
Yeah.
Um, so let's see some other things around, um, the race this weekend.

(34:48):
We did get to see some of the women's motocross race.
Unfortunately, the day before, which is when we had that rain in the hail was when theywere supposed to do their practice.
Um, and one moto.
so they shortened it to a one moto winner take all, um, after the broadcast or after the,the four 50, we did get it on the broadcast, which was very exciting.
Um, I was a little bummed at like how many people left the venue.

(35:09):
Like it was like there weren't a ton of people there, but like, I get it, you know, it.
we're still climbing the ranks and gaining respect.
um I think there was a little bit of track prep, but holy cow, that track was just beat toyou know what.
um But I was so impressed with the women.
So Lala Turner just dominates like she does.

(35:29):
Cycle News put out an article called Lala's Thunder talking about her race this weekend.
It's a really good read too.
I just love it.
I'm such a big fan of the Turner family.
And I was talking with Nicole about like,
How do we get someone to recreate Motocross with Lux and Lala?
It's just too freaky.
There's so much overlap from the movie and their life.

(35:50):
So I'm working on it.
I'm working on it.
Mm-hmm.
Yep.
And it's so funny, when Nicole and I were messaging, I was like, there's even a third, which is Landry, in their life.
I don't know what the kid's name is in the movie, but I was like, my gosh, there's athird.
Everybody loves them, and they're super talented at everything.
And I was like, my gosh, this is so cute.

(36:10):
Yeah, Lala is just a beast.
mean, she went beast mode at the home of beast mode and it was beautiful.
Charlie Cannon, again, here's an Aussie just kicking our butts.
She's from, I'm gonna murder this.
So Aussie friends, tell me if I'm right.
Maroochi, Maroochi?
I don't know how you say it.
River, Australia, that's the name of the city.
And I'm like, that is so Australian, I love it.
So I'm probably butchering it, but um she got second, I was gonna say overall, secondperiod.

(36:35):
And she had had a broken finger.
had surgery on her finger.
It was gnarly.
Yuriev Kronsky.
um
posted a picture of it and I shared it and I was just like, this is so intense.
Like her finger is huge.
It's got stitches all down the side of it.
I was just like, what a G.
So shout out to Charlie.
ah Jordan Jarvis got third.
Jordan is the one that was landed on, like landed on at Paula.

(36:57):
ah It's insane.
So Haley Shanley was on a few podcasts last week and she talked about it ah interviewingJordan and basically was like showing.
like the burn from the engine where she was landed on from the other bike.
And so I'm just like, these women are so nar nar like they're so gnarly.
Um, and then during the race, uh, Michaela Nielsen, KK, Moto KK, um, and Kylie Stallings, they crashed in the uphill section and bless their little hearts.

(37:25):
couldn't get their bikes up, but I'm like, it's hot.
It's uphill.
Like, oh, they had so much working against them, but it just seems like they were down forso long.
And I'm like, come on, come on.
Yeah, that, my gosh, the last lap.
They just perfectly just collided into each other.
I know that was that was brutal.
So ah shout out to just the women, the women of our sport, the women racers of our sport.

(37:50):
They're incredible.
And and I want to see more of them.
I want them to have I want them to have more airtime.
I want them to have more races.
ah I want you guys to know these people like I like just maybe I need to make a like ahighlight on Instagram.
Just at least links all of them.
Like, here's all their profiles.
Go follow them.
ah I mean, you and I were talking before we press record like ah Michaela Nielsen is.

(38:12):
stunning, breathtakingly beautiful.
She was on the podcast or on the broadcast and I was just like, cool, if motor doesn'twork out, you're a freaking model.
I think I know what you're talking about.
There was one of them where I was just like, my gosh, she's stunning.
She's beautiful.
I mean, they're all beautiful, but this one was like, wow.
Yeah, like that's not fair.

(38:33):
Like you're beautiful and you're like a baddie on a dirt bike.
Like that's not fair.
But we love you.
We love you for that.
so ah give us more.
Give us more women's motocross.
So that's the skinny there.
A couple other things.
The post-race press conference had some interesting, interesting interactions there.
uh One in particular.

(38:54):
Katie, you want to give us your thoughts on that one?
I mean, the media guy, what a smart way to angle that and put that on someone else becausewe already kind of know what we would get with Eli.
Like what a smart move, but very gutsy, very gutsy.
You could tend to cut that tension with a knife.

(39:18):
Eli started picking at his hand.
It was poker face.
There was a...
Yeah, you know, I think AP handled it with class and, you know, gave a good answer.
It was just funny.
Like it was just wow, like to study, to study the sociology, sociology of all of it, youknow.

(39:45):
it's funny, I've heard kind of mixed reactions um on how it went about, on not asking Elidirectly.
But if you want the sport to grow and you want us to get more mainstream coverage, that'sexactly what mainstream media would do, mainstream sports media.
I mean, they do it at any and every angle they can get at to get their sound clip, to getthe link, to get the whatever.

(40:07):
um And yeah, like we said, Eli's like the master of deferring.
So like he's not going to say anything.
So I loved it.
Lewis Phillips asked him on Friday at press day and all Eli gave him was like, yeah, likecan't talk about that right now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I didn't hate it.
That's for sure.
I did think it was funny that when AP was like, yeah, I've been teammates with Dungey andthen he snuck in Marvin at the end.

(40:30):
He's like, and Marvin.
And I'm like, OK, good.
Because I love the Moose Gans.
I love them.
ah But I also told Tim, was like, yeah, you should probably take note from Marvin.
Because if Eli has any chance at winning a championship and AP gets in the mix, you'regoing to be pulling over just like Marvin did for Dunge.
So get ready AP.

(40:52):
And you know, with that one, um, was that East Rutherford was somewhere up there whereMarvin was going to win.
pulled over it, like obviously pulled over for Ryan, like still to this day says he didn'tdo it intentionally.
Um, but then I did hear rumblings that like Ryan like split, like gave Marvin some moneyfor that one, you know?
So I'm like, good job.
Yeah.
Cause it was so obvious.
mean, it was like, it was painfully obvious and it was for a championship.

(41:13):
was four championship points.
But when AP said, and Marvin, was like,
You should, you should watch some Marvin footage AP because you might be doing that ifEli's up for a title.
Yeah, I mean, I guess it went the best way it could have to be put on the spot like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, it was smart to ask anybody.
mean, AP is a gem.
His press conferences are so funny.
I think it was last weekend where he got to the press conference early and he was there byhimself and he just like picked up the microphone.

(41:37):
He was like, OK, I'm here for questions.
Like it was just him and like, you so.
Jet started laughing too.
It's like you felt like you were in class, you know, and like your two friends are gettingin trouble and you're like the one laughing in the corner.
Like, yeah.
you know, oh, I loved it.
Yeah, that was great.
I love, you know, thinking about when Jet takes the camera off him and puts it on Eli andthe kids, like, I love that one because the humility, like, I'm like, you understand, you

(42:06):
understand that like Eli is like, there is a passing of the guard happening right now, like, or changing of the guard, passing of the torch.
I just put both of those metaphors together.
ah But the respect level, I love that.
And then also like,
you know, jet did interview and he was talking about, you know, Eli and Eli's beard and helike can't grow a beard.
Like it was so cute and like endearing, but I'm like, I can't, it was in one of thepost-races.

(42:28):
I, maybe I shared it on Instagram, but he was like, you know, basically like giving him, giving him respect and giving a props and said something about the beard where he's like,
I, know, I can't grow a gnarly beard like that.
You know, he's such a man or whatever.
I'm like, I love that we're getting a little bit of like jets personality back, you know, because he's been so buttoned up recently and you know, for better for worse, but that
just made me, that's just the.

(42:48):
Warm my heart, you know?
Jet and Eli has to know you weren't going to be the best forever.
I was telling Derek I would rather get beat by Jet than someone my age who I've beenracing forever.
It's like past of the baton.
It's going to happen with everyone elevating and all the new technology.

(43:09):
It's bound to happen.
I feel like Eli is having fun.
He wants to beat Jet straight up.
ah
You know, and it's a challenge for him, but he also still respects jet and the way he'selevated the sport.
Yeah, I agree.
think, you know, if Eli's taking the page out of dad's book that says you don't leaveuntil you're beat, like, I hope that the sting is a little less by getting beat on your

(43:32):
way out by like, arguably, maybe, I'm scared even saying this, the best to ever do it.
Like, I feel like, yeah, an alien, not an extraterrestrial, not an ET, but definitely analien.
Um, so I love that.
I think, you know, getting, getting some playful jet back is great.
You know, jets got a lot going on outside of moto.

(43:53):
you know, he's had an early injury.
He's got some drama in that respect.
Um, which we won't touch on, but, uh, yeah, I, I think it's, good for the sport to have,to have that level of respect and that level of speed between those guys.
So it's a win, win, win for me.
So, but next up we got, we got high point.

(44:14):
So we're going.
We're going east, east from Colorado at least.
Pennsylvania, right?
Okay.
Yeah.
See, I mean, they're nowhere near Texas.
So I'm just like, I don't know where they all are.
They blur together because they're nowhere near me.
Um, and I think, you know, to your point, Eli's got to start ahead of Period.

(44:34):
yeah.
Eli said that in one of the interviews after the race, and he said, I have to be in frontof Jett at the start.
Yep.
When, what'd he say?
can't, he said letting, he said, I can't keep letting him get out or something.
And I was like, interesting word choice, Elijah.
Like I thought that was very, very interesting.

(44:55):
Um, but I agree.
mean, he's, he's got, he's got to have the start on him and the, way that the Hondas arehooking up on starts, like I just, as good as Eli is, I don't know that you can, whatever
they figured out on starts, like I don't know how to compete with that.
Um, so that's, that's our, that's our hopes and dreams for.
for High Point TBD.
um

(45:15):
I mean, they go look at Eli's past results and just kind of see where we're at.
which we also learn might not be telling, so don't spiral.
That is very true.
That is very true.
Yes, I think I talked about that in the last episode, that you can't have to take all ofit with a grain of salt.
There you go.
All right, so Katie, what are your picks for High Point 250s?

(45:42):
I mean, Deegan, but if we want to get a little creative, I'd like Levi to get one.
450s, again, I would love for it to be Eli, but you know, the heart wants Eli, the brainwants Jet.
So yeah, what about you?

(46:02):
Jet.
um 250s.
I mean, yeah, I don't want to.
I think another high miss win would be great.
I kind of love like Honda whooping up on everybody right now.
Like, you know, I don't I don't have really any alliances to any of these bike brands likemy my last bike was a Honda.

(46:22):
So I guess I'm on brand, but I would like him to go to win again.
um I'd like the sexy caveman to to get to get a, you know, an actual overall podium.
You know, he got the third, but like I want him to get an overall podium.
So so I would say.
Head is, is Heimas, heart is Garrett.
Let's do that.

(46:43):
That work.
And then 450s.
me, my head and my heart are on the AP train.
So I'm going to, I'm going to stay AP straight up.
Like I, I, he's, he's so close.
He's so close.
Yeah.
So of course I'm like, yeah, I would love, I would love to see Eli when, but I'm like, AP,AP is riding so well.

(47:06):
And I love hearing him talk about the bike and how perfect it is, which gosh, what dothink Chase is thinking when he's hearing AP just be like, this is the best bike ever.
love it.
So, a little awkward, but
AP.
to be interesting to see all that unfold.
That is for sure.
Well, number 13 in the books, Katie, we will be watching this weekend.

(47:28):
I'm actually home alone this weekend.
It happened by accident, but my kids are going to visit my in-laws with my husband.
And so I'm like, ha, I have a whole day by myself.
So I'm going to get takeout.
Like I'm going to get like Greek food because my kids don't really like Greek food.
I'm going to get Greek food, takeout and watch Moto instead of my air conditioning becauseit's Texas.

(47:50):
Does it not?
Like I'm like.
This is the best.
Am I a 13 year old boy?
I'm going to get takeout and watch dirt bikes.
Yeah, I will be flying to Yankton, South Dakota Friday.
such a such a random place.
My family's going, but my daughter will be staying with my mother-in-law.
So just Derek and I will be going with my mom and dad, my uncle and my cousin.

(48:12):
So we will be watching the race uh from our hotel room.
But it will still be nice because it will be quiet and AC.
So.
any little crotch goblins afoot, which we very much did last weekend.
it live because the time zones just confuse the heck out of me.
But um yeah, so I'm hoping to watch it live, but I don't think we'll be able to with what, why we're there.

(48:41):
Yeah, yeah.
So well, cool deal.
Thanks for chatting today and we'll see you guys after High Point.
Bye bye.
