(00:00):
Hi friends and welcome back to another episode of Real Housewives of Modo.
This is episode 21.
It is Jason Anderson.
We should talk about some J.A.
little El Hombre.
I know, he's not having the best year right now.
um Out for TBD, like did we get an actual like date, like deadline for when he's comingback?
(00:25):
I knew it was definitely last weekend was a no.
I don't think I've seen him.
I've heard some rumblings.
Dan will be mad I don't say this for ruts and rumbles.
I mean, he's just dealing with some like personal stuff and.
You know, as a parent and as uh a big fan of his, I really hope for the best because ifdad's struggling, know, everything else is affected by that, at least in my opinion.
(00:52):
And Siggy is so little and Kenzie being a mom, it's no joke.
So we hope the best for them.
It's the skinny there.
Yeah, definitely.
I feel like the first years of parenthood, you're just trying to find that balance andthat routine and what works and what doesn't work.
And sometimes things have to take a backseat to put your family first.
(01:16):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I can't even imagine it.
was listening to Alex's Alex Martin's interview on, on a gypsy last week and he wastalking about like, uh, basically Chad and Zacho were like the only guys that he knew that
had kids while they were racing.
And he was like, I don't know how they do it.
Like, this is no joke.
And now mean, like there's tons of dads and I mean, we've talked about it ad nauseam.
Like I love, I love the sport and it's dad era, but yeah, that's no joke.
(01:37):
Like at all.
So we hope that J.
A is, is healing up mentally, physically, however, um,
I still don't know where he's going to land hearing HEP Suzuki, which I could see that, you know, Barsha, it sounds like he's all but locked in a Ducati doesn't sound like the
club thing is happening.
I know for a lot of people and we'll, we'll talk club.
(01:58):
I know for a lot of people, like club isn't an option cause they don't want to move toSouth Carolina.
Like it, I mean, it is truly in the middle of nowhere.
So like, I get it.
Like it's, it's a big thing, especially if you have a family and kids and routines andthings like that.
Like I could never see like.
I can never see the Craigs moving to club.
know, like three kids, they've already moved them across the state multiple times.
And, um, you know, I think about, like Cody shock and his fiance, like that's, that's,that's the setup, man.
(02:22):
Like no kids, you know, you're grinding away.
Like, oh yeah.
So it would be, it would be a big move if you were, you know, a parent of, of littles andracing to come to, to come to club, but you know, you do crazy things for model.
Mm-hmm.
So Katie and I have not recorded in a hot minute for a number of reasons.
Katie was on a cruise last week.
(02:43):
Was that only last week?
I have no concept of time anymore.
I went on seven days cruise to the Caribbean or Caribbean, however you like to say it.
ah It was just my husband and my daughter.
We went with my good friends.
It was hot and humid, but it was fun.
And it was a good experience.
But I love a routine.
(03:05):
I love doing this podcast.
love it.
Joe might be crazy that I did not have my phone to check moto.
media.
I asked my best friend Jordan, can I check the Blue Crew quotes, please?
Can I look?
Yeah, can I look at press?
Can I look at press day, please?
(03:25):
Like I was just begging him to just get some moto updates throughout the week.
But it was fun.
It was fun.
I learned I'm not a cruise person, but I'm grateful for the experience and I will vacationon land from now on.
Land, please.
It's probably because I got seasick, so that kind of threw a wrench on it.
(03:48):
But yes, and we were in like 102, so we were next to like the captain, like the bridge.
ah And my friend works at Princess, so we did get to take a tour of the bridge, which wasreally fun and meet all of the workers in there and like kind of see how they run the
show.
ah So yeah, that was fun.
(04:09):
And you, but yours is more exciting.
Where were you?
Where was I?
I was in the middle of nowhere, South Carolina.
I was at Club Mx, the Club Mx.
um It was incredible.
Like when I tell you that the photos and like their online presence, which is intentionalthat it's limited, um it just doesn't do it justice.
(04:35):
I mean, you're driving out here and I'm watching it and I'm like, where am I going?
Like, it's just like out in the middle of like,
rolling hills and pine forests.
it was really early.
I got there at like 630 in the morning because the first moto is at 730.
So it's like the butt cracking on.
And you drive up and Nicole told me she's like, look for the white picket fences.
Like when you find like the white picket fences, that's like where it starts.
So you turn up, you know, this little road and I saw the sign and, and then like the nextsign is like home of Phil Nicoletti, which I was like, not right now, but and then the
(05:05):
next one's like home of Justin Brayton and which side note on Justin Brayton sign says,
uh X Games medalist and I was like, when did Justin Brayton go to X Games?
Did I miss that memo?
wow, yeah.
So I did, I looked it up.
There was like a little like mini like moto racing and it was like him and Chad and JoshHill and somebody else, I'm forgetting.
But he basically won like the like mini like moto race.
(05:28):
And I was like, good job, good job, JB.
um And it was just like, like I instantly just like had chills.
Like I was like, I'm on hallowed ground.
Like it was, it was so cool.
Like I don't even know how to like, I told Nicole, like, yeah.
Yeah, no really, except that I can't ride any of the rides.
That's how I felt.
I like, I would like to jump on a bike right now, but then I would also die.
(05:52):
They do have a little like 50 track.
I think they have 11 tracks, like Nicole told me that.
was like, that's insane.
And it's huge.
And Brandon Haas, the owner, has plans to expand it.
They've got trails in the woods that it kind of backs up to.
There's a couple other private homes that are close, which is so funny.
Nicole and I were talking about this.
She's like, I just kind of want to go and knock on their door and see if I can just makethem an offer.
(06:14):
if I didn't know anything about Moto, I would not want to live next to club.
You got bikes going all day, but it's beautiful.
The land is stunning and just the natural elevation and things like that.
And they've got a whole bunch of ponds.
There's like three or four ponds and the kids go fishing.
uh It was incredible.
I was in awe just like the second I drove up.
(06:37):
It was pretty cool.
So yeah, I spent the day at club.
Yeah, it was really fun.
And, um, Nicole Turner is, uh, the mama of, of Lala Lachlan Turner and Lux Turner Luxrides for, um, a, TM.
And, uh, I mean, she's just a gem.
So when we started, when we started Real Housewives of Moto, I had a number of peoplebeing like, my gosh, like you've got to follow Nicole.
(07:02):
Like she's, she's Lux Turner's mom, but like, she's got a daughter who's racing and, um,
And like instantly like Nicole and I, we went out to dinner the night that I landed andlike we just like, both of us with like our squirrel brain ADHD, we're just like all over
the place, like ping ponging our conversation.
Like I don't think we finished a sentence the entire like time I was there.
We were just like, well birds chirping.
(07:23):
uh And I mean, if you told me to follow Nicole Turner, like you were dead right.
She is a gem.
She is the same human online that she is in real life.
She fiercely loves her babies and their family.
And honestly, like I,
I was calling them like the anti-deacons, not that they are anti-deacons, they are theanti-deacons, like the opposite of them.
And they're just like, they're so real and they're just so down to earth.
(07:45):
like, they're constantly like checking in with each other, like, hey, did you call dad?
Lux, did you call Lala?
Landry, you, you know?
And it was just, it was so refreshing, you know, because like amateur moto, you know, whatI've learned of it uh in this short amount of time, you know, we started, I started caring
about amateur moto, I guess, when Daniel was on KTM or working for KTM and.
ah
Which is so funny because a lot of those writers that he like would talk up on Made of itMoto like we're at club and you so I was like, I know about you and I care about you
(08:10):
because I know it was so funny.
I did.
I did get to see Daniel and Daniel gave me a tour of the, pro team shop, which was cool.
We'll talk about that.
Um, but yeah, there there's, know, a massive, I mean, I feel like amateur moto is like awhole other world.
Like it's a whole other sport.
Like, um, and it's no joke.
Like a lot of these kids are there by themselves, like children who are there bythemselves.
(08:31):
Um, and Nicole really is like this.
powerhouse maternal figure.
Um, and she's out there all three motos, like in the middle of the track, like I'm goingto post some more videos, but I mean, she's doing her whistle.
She girl could whistle.
She's doing her whistle.
Every time Lala comes around and, you know, prepping all Lala's drinks and carrying herstart, her start blocks.
(08:51):
And, um, it was just, yeah, it was, it was so cool.
So, um, so like I said, got there at six 30 in the morning, real early.
Um, Lala was already doing some bike prep and getting ready for the day.
And, um,
So we went over to the track at 730.
So we went to like the big track and they're doing Loretta prep right now.
So, cause since they have so many riders going to Loretta's and so they're basically likefull speed, full, full race prep and ah you know, interesting thing about the tracks is
(09:18):
that they have, they have, I think they have two full-time track builders that live onsite.
And we can talk about the property too.
ah And they do, they prep the track overnight.
So you wake up and it's, it's perfect.
And it's a new track and
So they're ready to go in the morning.
So got there, crack it on, track is prepped, it's fluffy, it's that red southern clay.
uh And just like, it's so much bigger than what you see online.
(09:44):
I remember when we were talking about Thunder Valley and I felt the opposite.
I felt like Thunder Valley was smaller in person, which is weird.
Yeah, but club is huge.
There's this big, huge jump right off the gate.
And I was just like, what?
They're gonna hit that?
Even the 65s?
It was gnarly, but, um, yeah, so they, they had, they have three groups and they, thewriters that are there, they shuffle between the groups.
(10:06):
have different groups that they're in each day.
and there's a board and it shows, you know, all the writers and what they're doing.
um, they all did starts and, uh, they're all working on different things.
So some people, you know, like Lala, she's, she's working on starts.
She's working on, you know, start intensity.
And, um, then there's other writers that are, you know, specifically working on cornering, but they're all at like full speed because they're all in, in Loretta's prep.
(10:27):
Um, so first moto goes off.
Not even first moto first, first site lap and, our boy, Jess and Turner, we know aboutJess and from, from made of it moto.
Um, I'm watching him getting set up to, you know, take some, some footage of Lala and hegoes off this little, I mean, not even double ish.
Um, and I'm watching him just cause you know, I'm, I'm sitting, standing right there andhis bike shuts off like midair.
(10:49):
And I'm like, what the hell?
Like it was like in slow mo and you know, bike goes cartwheels down the, down the track.
And, I'm only sharing this because he has shared it.
I'm obviously just sharing more color commentary.
you know, head over to Jessen's Instagram if you haven't seen it.
um But he ended up breaking his femur and landed and snapped it what looks like rightabove his knee brace.
(11:09):
uh God, he was so mad when he hit the ground.
was, God, it broke my mama heart.
And I think he's gotten first and third.
I looked this up in the combine or SMX, whatever we're calling it now.
I feel like we've changed the name like three times.
so it was really like slated to like kill it at Loretta's and, um, he was like punchingthe ground.
(11:31):
Like he knew he was so, he was so defeated.
Um, and like as a mom to see that I was just like, oh, just gutted and Nicole ran over tohim.
And like I was saying, like Nicole is such a mom to these guys.
Like, you know, there's, there's very few moms who are on the property.
I met a few of them, but a lot of kids that are there like by themselves and, um, he wasso calm and you could tell, I mean, like his leg is snapped in half, but he was, he was
(11:52):
really calm.
He was just mad.
And,
called paramedic, EMS came, they had called the helicopter, but the helicopter couldn'tland because it was still like really foggy apparently.
It was like a 45 minute drive apparently for him to the ER.
I like, can't even imagine how long that drive was, um like, know, took his boot off, cuthis gear off.
um He got a shot of something, I assume like, you know, morphine or Dilaudid or something.
(12:15):
um But even like when they rolled him onto the backboard like.
the sound that he let out.
His mom was there and his sister was there.
I was already crying.
That just made me sob.
It took my breath away.
was in the worst way.
So that was Moda 1.
That was the first thing of the day.
was like, Sightlap, Femur Broken.
Yeah, and that's so different because you you hear the sounds they make after they crash.
(12:39):
When we're watching on TV, we don't hear anything.
We just go based on body language.
Yep.
Yeah.
And it was was strange because like in my brain couldn't keep up with what was happening, like in the moment.
Like I was just like, like he just, you know, fell out of the air.
ah But then we'll talk about Tate Reed.
Like Tate's happened like in slow mo.
(13:01):
Like it was so weird.
Like I felt like Tate's little get off.
mean, it was again, you know, just a run of the mill thing.
Like I think probably he just, you know, hit the berm weird inside.
I don't even a berm was kind of inside rut.
But I feel like that one happened like in slow mo.
ah
Yeah, being up up and close with kids wrecking, it was, it sucked.
(13:22):
There's no way to cut it.
it was heartbreaking.
uh So yeah, things were things were a little somber after that for sure.
Like everybody was like, shit, like what are we doing now?
Like, you know, but everybody, you know, got back to it.
And I told him, I told Nicole, I was so impressed with at the end of the day, I was like, the energy at club is like so
(13:43):
intense, but positive.
It's like everybody is heading towards the same goal.
And whether that's like you're 65 or you're Cody Shock, everybody is heading towards beinga better writer and being a safer writer, being a better skilled writer.
And it's no small financial investment.
if you're there at club, you are there for the right reasons.
You're not dinking around.
(14:06):
So yeah, as soon as the EMS left and they got them off the track, it was back to business.
And so they did their motos and at that point, ah Nicole showed me around the property.
We went by Prado's trailer, went by Prado's trailer more than once, more than twice.
Never saw him.
Very sad.
to see a glimpse of that beautiful face, Like binoculars in the windows.
(14:29):
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, I was very bummed.
I did not get to see Jorge Prado.
That was uh probably my most common DM while I was there was like, did you get to seeJorge?
And I was like, no, I did not.
um But I did get to meet um Alex Fedorsov, the Russian kid.
He was very sweet.
um Nicole and him were talking about his mom coming over and baking them Russian food.
(14:51):
um
He is incredible on the track and Nicole and I were talking about it and she's like, yeah,I think he's just really struggled at, you know, at the races, but on the track, like he,
he is whooping up on everyone.
So I was very impressed with him on track speed.
Um, he was in, he was in a different moto from Lala, when she was on, but uh like the duderips, like he's no joke.
(15:13):
So that was really cool.
Justin Brayton was there, JB was on the track.
So I was like geeking out about that.
Like I was like, I love Justin Brayton.
I've talked about it here.
Like,
his Daytona win when, so his son Beckham, who was also there, I was like, this is socreepy that I like know who this kid is.
Like this kid is seven.
He's the same age as my son.
And I'm like, my gosh, it's Beckham Brayton.
ah I'm geeking out over a child.
(15:34):
ah But JB was on the track.
He was like all kitted out and like, you know, number 10.
ah And so I think like if anybody I'd been like, I would have really, really, really beenfreaking out about like to meet, it would have been him or Chad.
I did not get to meet Chad, but I saw Chad.
ah
And it was just so cool.
everybody there, it's like the love of Moto is obvious.
um So Nicole showed me around, went to um the back, very back of the property.
(15:59):
There's a super cross track.
is, excuse me.
There's a plot of land that they're converting for more RV hookups um and where the RVsare currently, they're gonna do some plots like for houses and the Turner's have bought
one.
The Turner's are gonna build a house and there's two other houses being built.
There's
really, really cool tiny homes on the back of the property, which I think they've shared apicture of it.
(16:20):
I'll have to repost it uh on Real Housewives of Moto if you guys would like to see that.
I think that's what they had said that one of the track builders lives.
There's the 50 track for like, know, little siblings are there.
They can come and ride on that.
Club does not take newbies.
So they don't actually have 50s riders.
I think maybe they've made an exception once or twice for like some really skilled 50sriders.
ah But they do not take newbies.
(16:41):
Like they are not about like teaching you how to ride.
They are taking like
Uhhh...
Yeah...
And so there's a big track in the back.
And then, like I said, there's trails through the trees for like GNCC training.
I mean, just like, it just keeps going like everywhere you look in every direction andeverybody lives on property.
um All of the staff, have um a woman who cooks for them.
(17:06):
So like if you're, one of the kiddos who is there without, you know, mom or dad and you'rea 14 year old boy and like, you probably live on like peanut butter and jelly, like
there's a meal plan and
Um, I met the cook, this uh lovely woman who also lives on site and has like chickens anda, and a, um, a farm and like has like fresh vegetables and berries and like all this.
I'm like, can I come live here and just like lay by the pond and be cooked for.
(17:29):
that's so cool.
Like what an atmosphere to be in.
Yeah, it was, it was really, really special.
I felt I'm very blessed to have like experienced that and then experienced it like with, know, with a family that's fully committed.
So, um, they've signed a year long contract, um, to be there.
Like they, they are all in, um, the Turner's, um, you know, Lux is, is, pro in the men'sclass and, um, out in California, her husband Dustin is actually in Chattanooga.
(17:57):
And so they're trying to like get back together.
You know, they're, they're very like family first, which I loved.
Um,
but they're there for the long haul.
So they bought a lot.
They're going to get to build there, which is cool.
Right now their motor homes are kind of parked right off the road.
And then right outside their motor home is the home that the Reeds live in.
you know, pull up, park my car and she was like, yeah, just park next to Chad's truck.
(18:18):
And I'm like, Chad Reed, like park next to Chad Reed's truck.
Like what?
I know.
So I'm like trying not to like fangirl and be creepy.
it's so strange.
um
So that was cool.
uh The third moto of the day after we, know, toured the property and saw everything, actually before that, so before that um I'd said, did DB and, know, DB was up kind of in
(18:42):
the pro area.
They've got their own little facility and it's actually really cool.
I've got a picture of it.
They've got Cody's, I would assume a super cross bike.
don't, I'm like, it's up in the window, like on the second floor.
So I'm like, it can't be his current bike because like you wouldn't be hauling it up anddown, but anyway, it's in the window.
And I just think like the club graphics look so good like they've got this likeholographic like pink blue purple thing on them right now that I think looks sweet so uh
(19:05):
Went and said hey to DB and met all the trainers and everything like that and he's likeyou want to see inside the the Pro Shop and I'm like duh like yes Is that even a question?
So got to go inside the Pro Shop.
It was so cool.
Like took my shoes off it's so clean and everything is like white and they all have theircabinets and their little bays and
He showed me the parts room.
(19:25):
The parts room is basically like a freaking dealership.
The parts room is like five bays deep.
It's insane.
They're a pro race team, but ah just incredible.
Everything was very organized, very professional.
ah Showed me their little get ready room and he told me, was like, there's Cody's corner.
said, Cody said he gets the corner because he's top dog.
That was the one thing that Cody was demanded.
(19:47):
He's like, Cody's so chill.
He's not a diva about anything, but he was like, I'm getting the corner spot.
Max Volans Bay and then Cody and yeah, just like really cool.
um And what I really loved, I thought this was super cool.
And I told Nicole, was like, this is brilliant what they're doing for like culturebuilding is they have uh canvas, like really high quality canvas prints like everywhere,
(20:08):
like all over like of the writers and of podiums.
And um I'm looking at them and I'm like, those are recent.
Like those are from like this year.
And they had a whole new delivery of them that they hadn't put up on the walls yet.
Excuse me.
But I think that's really cool that they're like,
let me remind you what we're doing right now.
You know, it wasn't like pictures from like 10 years ago.
They're like, this is what we have done recently.
(20:29):
And so those are all over the place.
Yeah, yeah.
So that was really cool.
And they had a whole stack of them that they hadn't hung up yet.
And, but you know, there, of course there were some, there were some older ones.
There were some Phil ones and some AMART ones and things like that.
And like, it's just, yeah, I can't even put it into words, like how special it is.
I have not been in
(20:51):
any of the training facilities in Cairo, but I've driven by them and given it was a longtime ago.
So I'm sure they look really different, but I'm like, this club is like Moto Mecca.
That's what I keep calling it.
Like I'm like, I can't even compare it to anything.
Like I'm sure there are sports that have this.
Um, but everything is taken care of for you.
Like, you know, at a, at a cost, you know, it's a business.
(21:11):
Um, but you really just get to focus on, on motoring down.
And especially for like the pro guys, like
You have your whole team there.
You've got parts.
You've got, mean, everything.
So it was, it was pretty cool.
Um, so then after that, they're down for, for moto three of the day, which I'm just like,my gosh, like I'm tired watching you.
I'm tired, like sitting in the middle of the track on my butt, you know, watching you.
(21:34):
Um, also it was like 95 degrees and very humid, but I was like, you would be dying inTexas if you were outside right now.
So like I was stinky and sweaty and gross, but like not unbearably.
So, so I don't know, maybe it gets like in Texas, like September is like,
awful.
So maybe it's different in September, but it was really not that bad.
um And so Moto3, we were out there in the middle of track and they took off like didstarts and this is one that had uh Chad and Tate were in it.
(22:00):
So I was like, my God, Chad Reed, you know, uh trying not to like fangirl and, um andEllie was, so I think that Chad went out first.
Yeah, Chad went out first and then Tate went out second and Ellie was kind of back from, the gate.
And I was standing kind of like in between the gate and
Ellie and a turn in the track.
And so I was watching, I watched Chad come around and then I watched the group that Tatewas in come around.
(22:24):
like I said, it was like in slow mo, it was so strange.
And like I said, I don't know what happened.
I just know that it was like, was very, it could have happened to anybody.
And all of a sudden like Tate's just like, and then down.
And he immediately, he knew like that.
Like I heard him, he was like, my collarbone, my collarbone, like put his hand on it.
And I was just like, fuck.
Like I know we're trying not to use bad words, but I was like, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
(22:45):
Because.
They're prepping for Loretta's like, we know like we've all watched this.
I know and.
so hard for it all year.
Like, why does it have to happen the week before?
Why could it happen three months ago?
I know.
And I think about like Tate's finger, oh, that picture is just like burned into my brain.
(23:06):
And Kaia's back and it's just like, oh, like just gutted for the reads.
was like, can they catch a break?
um And so Ellie like throws down all her shit and like runs over like complete mom mode.
Like uh I'm sitting over here being like, I'm gonna pick up your water bottle and likecarry it all.
So I got all her stuff.
And she's yelling like, get off the track, get off the track, which now like she's posted.
know that, um, you know, she was like, it's a live racetrack, get off the track, but he,you know, he, he knew how injured he was.
(23:31):
was down.
Um, and then, you know, Chad was on the other side of the track and he came back aroundand obviously it was, just heartbroken.
so they, they left and had it checked out.
It sounds like he doesn't have to have it plated, um, that, know, it's, it's like Tim, myhusband broke his collarbone and it was, it was.
I think they have like degrees of what the breaks are and whatever the break was was likeone degree below when it needs to be plated.
(23:55):
But yeah, that's it.
Like their Loretta's run is over.
And just, I don't know.
Like he qualified.
I mean, could they go and he not race?
I mean, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know how that would feel for Tate.
Like, hey, you get to go sit at Loretta's, you know?
(24:18):
I know.
And I think I remember Ellie posted like, oh, know, Tate got in so Chad's in or something.
So now
know how that works.
um Yeah, they were in as like um in the lottery or something.
Again, I'm not an amateur motocross expert.
I'm getting there.
I feel like I learned a lot about amateur motocross this weekend.
(24:40):
um But yeah, just freaking sucks, know?
Like just something so simple, you know, and not just, ugh!
Like that's the side of the sport, you know, like...
Jerry Robbins and Aiden and just like this, injury side of the sport is what makes me justso ragey.
And like, that's the risk that they take every time you go out there, you know, likesomething you've done a million times.
(25:06):
Ellie, I know she posted to you know, like, looking back at what happened to Kaia, like,we're lucky we're in the spot with Tate or something, you know, like the perspective has
changed a lot, like the world is not over, it could be a lot worse, you know, so you justit's hard, you have to flip that mindset to get through the sport, I feel.
(25:28):
Yeah.
And honestly, between the injuries, between Jessen and then Tate going down, like I waslike, I don't know that like I'm strong enough for this.
Like I don't know that I'm strong enough to be like a Modo mom.
Like I could not imagine that being my kid and just like accepting that it's coming.
I mean, it's different when it's your husband, you know?
Like I didn't really fall back in love with Modo until like, you I was an adult.
(25:49):
so oh watching that as a mom, just like, I don't think I have the spine for it.
I think I'm too much of a wimp.
I mean, I know that at that point, like you got to trust your kid skills and like, youknow, just let them loose, but you know, anything can happen.
know, just Tate's was such a, such a freak thing.
Um, it's just bizarre.
(26:10):
So yeah, that was, uh, that was all by like one o'clock.
It's like, I feel like I need a nap in a Percocet.
So in between that, um we're going back to the motor home and um Nicole, I'm stillimpressed by her.
I was editing our chat.
So that'll be up soon, Nicole and I's, uh but she's just like in, I was gonna say mommode, but then it's like mom mode and hustle mode and chef mode.
(26:38):
And uh she's cooking and she's doing deals and she's a realtor.
she like, while we were there and she's like checking her watch and checking her phone andlike she closed on four houses in one day.
I was like, you're incredible.
I was exhausted watching her and it's like, she does this every day.
It was just like a normal Tuesday, like being out on the middle of the track in the sunwith her little visor and her sunscreen or sunshades and then in between like making real
(27:04):
estate deals and paying for this.
So I was just like in awe of her.
we're back at the motor home and the girls are back and eating lunch and things like thatand hanging out.
was writing, like taking notes because I was like, I just wanna like remember everythingand absorb it all.
And, uh, poor Landry Landry is, is a baby sister.
She, think she's 14.
(27:25):
she comes like running in the motor home, um, like randomly.
She's like, wrecked on my bike.
And we're like, what?
Um, and then in comes Kyrie and she was like, yeah, she wrecked and it's bad.
And we're like, what?
And so she turns around and it's just like blood, like streaking down her leg.
And I'm like, my God, come to find out Landry doesn't do blood.
So she is like panicking, like poor girl.
So sad, like, and she did a number on her leg.
(27:46):
She was, she was on a, on a mountain bike.
I don't think she was on an e-bike.
So
That's when Nicole kept asking her and Kaia and she was like, how fast were you going?
And Kaia.
Kaia was like trying not to rat out her friend.
She's like, we weren't going that fast, you And so we're, you know, trying to figure outhow to clean, clean out her road rash, you know?
um And Nicole's like, I don't know where any of my like first aid is.
(28:09):
And so Kaia is like, I'll go get my mom.
And so in walks the Ellie Reed to the motor home.
And I'm like, don't fangirl Allie, like don't be a creeper.
And I'd already, I'd talk to Kai a little bit.
was like, how's your back feeling?
Like, you're such a miracle, you know?
But then Ellie comes in and I'm just like, my gosh, like you are like, Moto, like you're adynasty family.
(28:30):
And she just went right into mom mode.
Like Brandon's wife, gosh, her name is escaping me, but they all were like just cleaningwounds and putting on band-aids and Neosporin.
And yeah, it was just, it was so fun.
Like we were just like all chilling out, like a bunch of women and Lala and Jaylee werethere.
just hanging out in a motor home, cleaning up boo-boos like a bunch of moms that we are.
(28:54):
what I love about the sport.
It's so family centered.
It's like a different kind of closeness than other sports I feel because it is so smallbut big.
Yeah, yeah, was really heartwarming that they were just like, yeah, here's this band aidand make sure you get this and da da.
And like, they're just all taking care of each other, you know?
(29:16):
So that was pretty cool.
I was definitely like, fangirling.
um But even so, like, fangirling because she's so normal?
You know, like, I was like, she's just a mom, you know?
She's a mom that's like, traveled the world with one of the best to ever do it.
Yeah, and a complete boss.
um But yeah, that was like, blowing my mind.
Like, I was like,
(29:36):
I would have fainted.
I would have just fainted on the floor and then they would have had to take care of me.
I pretty close to it at one point.
I was like, my gosh.
Even when Kaia came in, I feel like I'm such a weirdo about these kids, know, Beckham,Brayton and Kaia, but I was just like, my gosh, I know so much about you.
Don't be a weirdo, Allie.
(29:57):
I remember, it's so funny, if I'd had any time to talk to Allie, I would have told her, like, I remember when she, I think Allie posted that she was in labor with Kaia when she
gave birth, and we were at Home Depot.
and like literally in Home Depot.
And I was like really shoving my phone in Tim space and I'm like, Ellie Reid's in labor.
You know, like I just love these women.
(30:17):
Um, like don't be a weirdo and tell Kaia like you were in Home Depot when she was born.
would be so creepy.
uh Me, you know, little, little no name me, but, um, yeah.
So after that, um, Nicole and I went to the top of the supercross track, which is, youknow, they're obviously we're not in supercross season right now.
(30:38):
So it's a little, it's a little,
um, hard pack just from, from rain, uh, cause they're not using it right now and, uh,talked for like an hour.
And so I've been editing that, that episode and, uh you know, we're walking out there and,uh, Landry and, and Kaia and pace will pace drive by on their serons and, had, had
pickleball paddles.
They're to go play pickleball.
(30:59):
And, um, I was just thinking like, yeah.
And like, they're making a, like a volleyball court and like I said, like fishing andthey've, they have, um, what's it called?
a wakeboard like thing that pulls you back and forth across the lake.
And she said she was like, yeah, on Fridays, like after all the modos are done, like allof the kids are down at the pond and like they're fishing and they're swimming and
(31:21):
wakeboarding.
And I was just like, what a cool place to grow up.
know, I really, I'm like, I want to come live here, but I was, I was, really curious aboutkind of the sibling life.
We didn't get to talk about it too much, especially like not with Landry after she, youknow, like she's graded her leg, but.
um
being there as like a sibling and not racing, like what a fun place to live.
(31:41):
Like you just get to like...
homeschooled?
I'm assuming they're just homeschooled.
Are they like all on the same prog- on track, yeah.
Yeah, I don't not all of them are I think you know some of do different things and ofcourse like it's summer right now So it's a little bit different.
uh I think some of the kids that are there uh Like a lot of people will come for like amonth because you pay it's you know, kind of like rent you pay for the month And so
(32:02):
they'll be there for like a month especially, you know right now because it's ahead ofLoretta's but uh I was talking to a couple families on Instagram like they're like, yeah
We'll come down for a month before, know, many owes or spring it in or whatever uh
And it's not cheap.
it is, I've done a little bit of research.
Like it is, it is not inexpensive.
Um, so it's, it's a real investment to send your kids there, but holy crap.
(32:23):
Like, I mean, I'm not saying that like you go to club and you come back a champion becausethat that's on you.
Like you've got to do the work, but you have every, hello.
You have every tool at your disposal.
So, and just like, it's fun, know, like I can't imagine, like we hung out with a bunch ofkids, um, on, Tuesday night after, uh, we went and got dinner and, the kiddos went and saw
Jess and in the hospital and like,
Just a bunch of, you know, like little teenage kids, living their best life.
(32:46):
And it was really funny.
Like when we were at dinner, I asked them, was like, who, who are your favorite writers?
You know, 250 and fourth, you know, and all of them said Lux.
It was so cute.
was like, okay, obviously besides Lux, we love Lux, you know, like we're, sitting herewith three turners.
And a few of them said, uh, Malcolm Stewart.
was like, good job.
Like I think, I think Lala said Malcolm Stewart.
was like, good job.
Um, two fifties.
(33:07):
They liked our sexy caveman.
We had big Seth Hammaker fan of Seth Hammaker.
Um,
March banks?
Bank, because I'm like Seth Hammaker.
I was thinking, I saw, uh this is my brain going to Hammaker.
We'll come back to Hammaker.
Yeah, a bunch of them said they were March Bank's fans.
And I was like, I love that.
We love a sexy caveman.
uh But then 450s, they were all Chase fans.
(33:29):
And I was like, really?
Really, you're Chase fans right now?
Wait, did you hear at least one Eli?
No, not a single Eli, not a single one.
Look at your face.
uh Yeah, we'll chalk it up to that that they're all too young.
But uh I was like, really?
You're a Chase fan right now?
Like, OK, OK.
So I could not help but react that way.
(33:50):
was like, OK.
um So maybe maybe we can chalk it up to age.
Maybe it's that they're young and Chase is one of the youngers in the, know, aside fromJet, I guess.
But yeah, most of them were Chase fans.
So I was shocked by that.
Interesting.
I feel like this sounds like a camping trip that never ends.
Like what these kids are living.
(34:11):
Like it's summer camp all year long.
That's so cool.
Yeah, summer camp on steroids that you're training for potentially a huge payday.
So yeah, it was an experience of a lifetime there.
They're having an open house in October and DB gave me a little teaser about that.
(34:33):
So I can't share anything on here.
Can't share it on the air, but I definitely gonna try to get back there in October forthat.
It's like two weekends after designations and Tim and I are really trying to get todesignations.
um Now, we're way late and all the RV hookups are gone.
So we're like, how do we do this?
And it not be like millions of dollars.
I'm like, okay, so can we pull off going to Designations and then two weeks later we go toclub?
(34:56):
So ah we'll see.
We'll see.
But I told Nicole, was like, it's like the 20, it's like the third weekend.
Hold on.
Let me pull my counter.
Great radio.
It is...
Man, now I'm second guessing it.
It's later in October.
Like it's...
(35:18):
I think so too.
Yeah, I think you're right.
Yeah.
the 24th?
25th, 26th?
Yeah, I think that's it.
um Yeah, I shared it on my Instagram this morning.
um So that'd be really cool.
I'm excited for them on that.
And then, know, like the Turner's there for the long haul and it was just such a grind.
Like I felt like even getting like an hour of Nicole's time, you know, uninterrupted, uninterrupted.
(35:40):
We had a water truck visitor and we had a um Lala came in at the end.
So it's just like, you know, there's no, she does not stop the whole day.
Like I was, like I said, exhausted watching her.
It was crazy.
yeah, incredibly grateful to do this.
We've got a couple other projects that like for sure I'm going to be back to work on withthem and you know, they're there for the long haul.
(36:03):
They're going to build.
They're going to, you know, build a house and build their dynasty.
So yeah, it was an experience of a lifetime for sure.
Yeah, I'll just pack you in my bag.
Yeah.
like mail yourself there.
Holy cow.
We went in the clubhouse where they eat and where they have meals and they have the, wheretheir mail is delivered.
(36:25):
And it was just like a mountain of parts.
the people are getting, you kids are getting shipped there like parts and all the things.
It's like, just put yourself in a box and ship yourself there.
You'll get right to the front door.
Um, but yeah, I just can't even put into words.
Like I just kept saying, this is incredible.
This is incredible.
This is incredible.
Like, you know, Daniel's like, what do you think?
And I was like, I don't even have words.
(36:45):
Like it was, it's that.
And I get it, like I'm like, I'm a fangirl, but ah I mean, if you've got a kid and you'vegot the money, like, and you're dead serious about it, dude, is club is it.
So yeah, that was, that was my day at club.
Anything we didn't cover, like questions.
(37:06):
I mean, I'm sure I have a million, but wow.
Like, what an experience.
Like, you'll remember that forever.
Yeah.
And I, mean, I hope it wasn't the last time.
Like I would, I would love to go back and, you know, motor home life is no joke.
Like I'm like, yeah, I'll come back when you guys have a house.
So I stayed, um, I flew into Charlotte and then I stayed a little town kind of like inbetween Charlotte and, and where club is.
(37:27):
Um, but it's, it's out there, you know, it's not like a quick jog and you know, they likelaundry and groceries and all that stuff.
Like you gotta go, gotta go out and do, mean, they do have laundry on site, but, um, andthen like,
meals in a motor home.
Like God, did you just think like it is not convenient?
Yeah, for sure.
(37:49):
So, um, but the women's races, uh, WMX will be back for the last three rounds of the pronationals.
So they'll be, they'll all be back together, you know, with, with all five of the, of theTurner.
So excited for that for them.
And, uh, hopefully, uh, Lala can clinch another championship.
You know, she's got the big number one on the back of her gear and, she's racing.
(38:11):
47 at Loretta's, which is Lux's old number.
I have to go check on that.
It's either 40.
Yeah.
I think it's 47, which I think is cool.
So she's going to be writing Lux's old number at Loretta's.
And I just think that's, that's really cool.
So yeah.
And I'll, I was going to put together a graphic with the, she's racing two differentevents and so I'll, make a little graphic for, for Real Housewives of Moto.
So you guys can tune in and watch her, her moto down.
But I am a Turner fan for life after this weekend.
(38:33):
I mean, if I wasn't before, I definitely am now.
And, uh, it's just a testament to like the grind that
these parents will go, you know, the, the links of grinding that these parents will go to.
And, um, it's one thing to cough up the, the finances for it, but to be there, to be, youknow, on the track, doing all the things Nicole did, like it was just, yeah, it was, was
(38:56):
gnarly.
So that was, that was club.
It was so fun.
Yeah.
Let's talk about some other things outside.
Like we can, we can come back to our boy Eli.
Can we talk about WTF is happening with Eli?
Not to like hard transition from like positive to negative, but WTF.
I am Baffled okay, like I I don't even know where to begin.
(39:21):
I'm spiraling He looks seems to be fine Lewis Phillips made a good point that he's notinjured because when writers are injured They'll hide from press day.
They'll be in their motorhome a lot But he was gallivanting around on his mountain bike atpress day in Millville with his Jeremy Martin shirt on happy as a
(39:42):
Happy as a clam wearing, you know, the shirt was short on him.
He was wearing shorts.
So he wasn't hiding a cast or I mean, he wouldn't be wearing a cast, but he wasn'tlingering anything.
Lewis Phillips talked to him a little bit, but it wasn't like a media thing.
Seemed fine, seemed in a good mood.
(40:02):
I said, okay, Eli will rebound.
He loves this track.
We will never forget 2022 Millville Moto 2.
I don't remember.
Educate me.
What was Moto 2?
like when he was going through those rollers and how he like passed chase like he was juston one that day like he was full beast mode Millville moto 2 and
(40:24):
joke.
Like Alex talks about that in Gypsy that he's like, dad, these are hard and I'm a pro.
And you know what, it'd be one thing if he was fourth, you know, doing good, third doinggood.
But what worries me the most is he was in second and dropped back to sixth.
Like that does not happen to Eli Tomac.
(40:48):
That is more than a weird race.
And he just does not go backwards like that.
He might get stuck in fourth and fifth and we're like, yep, he got stuck with the pace.
but this was different.
This was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Normal Eli probably would have caught up to Hunter and passed him, you know?
(41:09):
And this is just, it doesn't make sense.
Derek did say his bike looks like crap.
Yeah, something's going on with those Yamahas.
Like some, not good.
Like I, and he rides it hard.
We know that, but yeah, I would, I'd be nervous to be pushing it on a, on a Yamaha rightnow.
Yeah, and then the weekend before Southwick Redbud.
(41:31):
Okay, he's in third.
His bike blows up.
Okay, he gets a pass.
Second Moto.
Yes, he ended up getting seventh, but he came from last or the 26.
Like he got the power charge award because he passed so much.
So even though that didn't look good on paper getting seventh Southwick Moto two, it wasstill a good ride because he had like late last skate pick and he went all the way through
(41:56):
the field.
So that was good.
We just didn't see it.
So now we have Millville to go off of where he just looked terrible.
We all didn't see it coming.
We thought this would be a ground-heeled for sure podium, possibly win.
And now we're left with all these questions.
I read Jason Wigat's article on the Tomac theories and AC and JB made a, know, they kindof dissected what was going on.
(42:25):
So I guess.
I mean, all we have to do is wait for Saturday because we're not going to get anything.
Nope.
No, and even his like, Lewis talked about this, Lewis and Kellan did, about like his PRstatement.
And you're like, if he did say that, like you gave us nothing.
Like you tested and it didn't work.
(42:46):
Like, yeah, it didn't work.
He went six, nine.
Like what?
So I can't figure it out either.
mean, the only thing I can think is like maybe he...
Maybe he's got the KTM contract in hand and he's seeing like the writing on the wall andlike he knows this championship is gone.
Maybe he's thinking about next year and it's just like, okay, maybe I don't.
(43:08):
Maybe I don't sign, you know, and I obviously like there's world supercross.
There's you know, international travel, all that.
Like I think that he's really keen to do that, but this is weird and I yeah, I don't havethe answers other than.
He doesn't seem unhappy.
No, that's what's so confusing is he's liking his wife's like selling donkey pictures onInstagram and he likes Jeremy Martin's picture.
(43:32):
So he's lurking.
He's lurking on the gram, but he's not updating us.
There's just so many theories.
I was talking to my dad's friend who does have some Tomac insight and he's like, it's assimple as Hunter and Jet have elevated the sport and
They're just elevated it to a new level that all of these guys have to catch up on to now.
(43:57):
I mean, he goes, look at Eli's lap times.
He's doing amazing.
He's doing what he's always done.
It's just Jet and Hunter have took that next step.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, honestly, like when you just look at like age, like Jett and Hunter, I mean, notonly are they younger than, younger than Eli, they're also riding like so much more
efficiently.
And I don't mean that like in any like bad way.
(44:19):
It's just like you look at Eli, you look at Hayden, like they, they are bulldogs on thetrack and Jett and Hunter, they're kind of like Kenny, you know, they just kind of like
float around the track.
They're very efficient.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so it's just, you know, it's a different style of riding.
And, um, I don't know, like,
I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Tomek household right now, because I justlike, what are you talking about?
(44:41):
What are you thinking?
And it's so funny how he has the whole industry going crazy and it could just be as simpleas like, yeah, I wasn't feeling it last week.
I'll be back at WashUGO because will we be surprised if he podiums Saturday?
No, we won't.
I'll never be surprised if he podiums.
Like, I mean.
Yeah, so it's it's Eli.
It's Eli.
(45:03):
Like when he was making from his last year on Cowie that outdoors he ah you know, he didalso have this slump and he kind of just wrote it in because he was going to Yamaha.
So
don't think that's what he's doing now.
Like I don't think he's, I don't think he's just like phoning it in.
uh But I do think that he sees, he sees how Jett and Hunter have elevated things.
(45:27):
And I mean, you're going to kill me, but I don't think he can, he can't match it.
If he could, he would, you know?
And we've talked about this many times.
Like if you're going to be beat by somebody, like I'd rather it be Jett than Chase oranybody up there, you know?
Like I think, I think if, if, if,
(45:47):
Chase were the one doing what Jets doing.
And you think about 2023, Eli and chase like that, that feels like, like Eli got you thatsummer, you know, like you guys, you guys elevated the sport that summer.
So I'm glad it's not chase now and it's jet, but yeah, I'm sad.
okay getting beaten by like a generational talent, possibly the best writer there everwas, you know?
(46:09):
And I mean, does Eli?
I mean, this is why wish Eli would just retire after donations because I don't think nextyear will be better, honestly.
Especially with Deegan Outdoors, there's no way.
Yeah.
And I don't think he wants to deal with that.
I don't think he wants to deal with Deegan.
Like that would be a lot.
(46:29):
yeah.
he is, he confirmed to race in Australia.
Yeah, I saw that.
So I'm like, on what bike?
On what bike?
Not that it matters, but.
is it just, yeah, it'll be Saturday will be interesting.
I can't get my hopes up.
I'm looking forward to Blue Crew quotes today, even though they probably won't tell usmuch.
But yeah, while Shugal I'm going with low expectations because I've gotten my hopes up.
(46:56):
yeah, that's, that's true.
That's true.
em I hope that we have a lot more Eli in the future in World Supercross.
I don't know that my heart could take it to see Eli do this.
This version of Eli do this indoors.
Like, I don't know that I want to see that.
(47:17):
I know, that's the weirdest part.
Like, I'm just like, Eli finishing his career on Orange is weird, but.
You know, we get used to it.
Crazier things have happened.
I don't know.
I'm just so curious of what's going on in John's head and Eli's like, what's theirconversations?
How is Eli being at the dinner table?
Like, how is he being like milking the cows?
(47:40):
Like, I just want to know.
I just want to know, like, are we all freaking out and he's fine?
Or is he freaking out with us?
Like, are we?
I don't know.
It's just been a weird few weeks.
Yeah, it has.
um Other things that happen other than Eli's weirdness.
(48:04):
Can we talk about Tony Chirolli for a second?
I love the Chirollis.
think Jill is a gem.
Her and I have talked a little bit on Instagram.
um Did we talk about him walking down the hallway with an espresso under his arm?
Did you see that?
This is the most Italian thing I've ever seen.
It was in the hotel or something.
And he's walking down the hallway with their Nespresso machine boxed up.
(48:26):
He's carrying around an espresso maker in the United States.
That is so on brand for being Italian.
I have been really, really impressed with not only him, but the Ducati in, I wouldn't saystock form, but also not complete race form.
um It's no joke.
Like that thing is performing.
(48:47):
So I have very high hopes for when, you know, Ducati gets it together and shows us theirfull fleet and is actually racing.
like Tony, what did he get?
How did he finish?
Hold on.
Pause.
Why can't I find it?
Oh, he went 23, 10.
So like, had he not gone down, like what that 23 would, that was 15th overall.
(49:09):
But when he went down, Marshall Welton, like he is the MVP of this race.
Like, I don't know if you've seen it where like Tony goes down, you can't really see it.
He's like behind a, like behind the dirt or something like that.
And Marshall Welton comes around and he like flips around and like gets off his bike, likesees Tony and is like.
and then comes and lifts the bike off of him because Tony's poor little butt is gettingburned by the bike.
(49:30):
oh my gosh, that's so sweet.
what an MVP, you know?
Um, and he was, he's maybe it was Paul.
can't remember who he called into, he was somebody was talking about like the coolestthing was just like riding around the track with Tony Carolli.
Like the dude is 39 and jacked.
Like he is ripped and hasn't raced since, know, like four years ago.
I think he's in a few races, but, um, I mean, he can hold his own.
(49:53):
like, was, I was very impressed by Tony Carolli.
I was very impressed by Ducati.
Um, and very impressed by, by Marshall Walton.
um
Also, Jill posted a picture.
can't, maybe it was, I can't remember if it Tony or it Jill, but, Tony's just like layingon his stomach because his poor butt burns.
The butt, the butt has to heal.
So goodness gracious.
(50:13):
How gnarly.
Um, so that, that was, that was one of the highlights of, Millville for me.
Um, other, other rides that impressed me, Justin Barsha going eight, seven for fifthoverall.
That was pretty cool.
Um, RJ went four, four for fourth.
I don't, mean,
I was thinking about RJ, was like, did anybody think that like he wasn't going to do wellon a 450?
(50:34):
It's just, it took so long to get here, you know, cause he was on the 250 for so long.
And I kind of wonder, you know, like, how do you, how do you balance that if like you're,you're doing well in the 250s, but like you haven't gotten your championship yet.
You know, it took him, took him a couple years, a couple.
And you know that you can make good money in the 250s, but then you have to really bet onyourself to move up to the 450s.
And where do you make that decision between like, I'm a young pup.
(50:58):
and I can make my money down here or do I move up and risk it, you know, potentially notmake any money.
I mean, not any, but, um, and then, you know, basically miss out on all of your likeyouthful years, you know, cause like RJ is not a spring chicken.
He's got, he's got a child.
And, um, I was, I, just, that would be a really, really hard thing to process and likefigure out and strategize and be like, okay, my age versus my skillset versus my take home
(51:23):
versus what bike I'm on versus like, that's a lot.
Um, not jealous of that, but.
I'm a big RJ fan, so I'm glad to see him doing well.
um Our boy AP did not finish the second, no, first moto, second moto, first moto, firstmoto he went 39th and pulled off and then second moto, yeah, DNST.
(51:45):
um I'm sad, I'm sad for our boy AP.
It sounds like it's, yeah, Epstein bar.
um I was actually really shocked after,
Was it Southwick that he said it and then he came back for Redbud?
Which one was first?
Redbud then Southwick?
I think it was Southwick and then Redbud and then Millville.
(52:07):
Yeah.
So I was really surprised that he even raced, um, last weekend, let alone this weekend.
Um, just sounds like just not feeling it, you know, and what sucks is like, you know, hissuper cross season started off rough and then he really got it together and popped off.
And I mean, I was waiting for him to get a moto win.
Like I was like, it's coming, it's coming.
And so then for this to like, come on so quickly, like it just, it sucks, you know, because
(52:31):
It's coming from, I assume from overtraining, you so it's coming from his desire to winbasically.
Like your desire is so strong that you've made yourself ill.
Yeah.
So.
this does with all these illnesses does make them rethink the schedule.
It's, it is very long, but that's a whole rabbit hole.
(52:53):
don't need to go down.
Yeah, well, we want to piss off the powers of B.
I mean, Jace got so much shit for that when he asked Jed about how long the season was.
He got a lot of crap for that.
But why can't we ask questions like that?
And why can't writers have an opinion on how long you're making them race?
So anywho, um anything else in the 450s?
(53:14):
Chase is back.
Chase looks good.
I'm not surprised.
No.
oh
will be Eli, Chase, and Deegan for donations.
They're supposed to announce it at Iron Man.
Yeah, didn't they do that last year where they were supposed to announce it at Ironman orwas it two years ago where they waited forever?
(53:34):
Yeah, there was one year where they just waited because they couldn't decide if they weregoing to go or not.
I think that's the summer Eli was hurt.
Because one thing's for sure, Eli will show up at donations with 100 % effort.
Yep.
He is, he is captain America.
So at least we can rest in that.
(53:56):
Um, two 50 things.
Uh, it was the J-Mart show.
Like we said, I, I loved it.
I, I saw the video of him doing donuts in the front yard and his R8.
Like I love that with a rainy Richardson fastest, fastest man in Piedmont.
I thought that was, that was so fun.
(54:16):
And, um, him, him being on the podium with the Michelob like that.
Cracked me up, like had beer in hand.
the best, yeah.
Next to next to Deegan who can't even legally drink yet, but you know, I guess Deegan, guess Deegan could have, could drink when he had his fake ID, but I think that cop in
Florida probably took it from him when he got arrested.
So Jeremy being like, I'm just kidding.
(54:38):
Um, I love that.
And I also loved, ah I guess it was, was JT on the broadcast and then, uh, MichaelAntonovitch, which shout out to Michael Antonovitch.
was doing the press conference, um, because Taryn,
I love Taryn.
She has a tour MCL or something.
And so Taryn wasn't there and Michael Antonovich stepped in and I thought Anton soundedgreat.
(54:59):
He like, I, it's so funny.
Like whenever there's a change like that, like I'm always like, I'm always like on edgebecause I'm nervous for them.
And like, I've chatted a little bit with, with Michael's wife.
And so I was like really excited for him and invested and Michael talks quickly, but veryclear.
Like he's, he's clear, like he talks, but you can understand him.
And so the whole time, like when he was announcing everybody, like I was just like, like,
(55:20):
waiting for him to mess up, but I don't mean like waiting because I wanted him to mess up,but just like he was, he was, he talks so fast and he nailed it.
Like I was like, good job.
um Good job.
also, yeah, yeah, that's a good way putting it.
Like I was so excited for him that I was like, my gosh, like don't, don't mess up.
But um yeah, him, him uh being up there with, with, uh with Hayden and being like, Hey,with all due respect, like this is the Jeremy show today.
(55:41):
So uh I love that.
uh
an iconic race that will go down as something we'll never forget.
My dad is a diehard J-Mart fan, always loved him.
And I got to watch it with my dad on Saturday with Derek.
And it was just so neat to see my dad so excited.
(56:05):
Derek, it's impossible to get him excited over anything.
But he was so excited and like...
That's so cool.
Like I remember him telling us when we did the VIP tour in January that he doesn't havethe itch anymore and he's not going to ride and like see this happen was just so cool for
him.
So neat for his family.
(56:27):
Like a full circle on the Yamaha.
Like wow.
Like storybook ending for sure.
I hope that he brings that giant trophy to the star trailer and like it's there for thetours next year.
Like that giant number two.
Um, I would love that.
I would be like, can I please take a picture with you in that?
Because that is the best thing ever.
I also loved that he took his, his shock spring off of his championship bike himself.
(56:51):
Like not only did he take it off his championship bike, like that's so bad ass in and ofitself, but took it off himself and put it on the bike because he was like, yeah, we were
almost there.
And then I realized like, I got, I have this part and I took it off.
was like, what?
That's so gnarly.
should do that.
Take notes from your bestie.
I love that.
Um, so yeah, we were, we're pumped for, for German.
(57:15):
Um, any hill, uh, I, it's funny.
I asked Ozzie Steve this, but what do you think about like, so Joe had a break issue, butJoe was coming on him.
Like he, he was, he was really charging and Ozzie Steve said he's like, there's he, Joewould have passed him.
Like it's, you know, it's for championship points.
Like Joe would, Joe would not have cared.
like to think and I agree I do I do think Joe would have passed it but I would like tothink that Joe would also understand like the gravity of the situation like the the story
(57:41):
part of it but then I don't know I shouldn't I shouldn't assume like how old is Joe likewas Joe even around like 10 years ago when when Jmart went on this run like hold on how
old is he hold on pause please where's your bio do do do do she was born in 2002 oh mygosh
(58:02):
my gosh.
Jeez, okay, so he's 23.
So 10 years ago he would have been 13.
I didn't look at when he came over, but anyway, do you think that Joe would have blownpast him or do you think Joe would have hung back and got second?
I don't know.
That's tough, because I see both sides.
(58:23):
If I was Joe, I would have let J-Mart win, but I always say that.
I'm like, I'm so, like, I would let them win for a special moment, just because I'm so,like, sympathetic and empathetic.
But yeah, I mean, he probably would have, but J-Mart kind of seemed to go into anotherzone where he was like, no, I'm going to do whatever I can.
(58:43):
Like, he held Deegan off, you know, so maybe he not.
Yeah.
So maybe Joe wouldn't have asked him because he held off Deegan for a long time.
Yeah.
I love that.
He said on pulp.
was like, I'm going to bleed for this.
He's like, you know, he said he went around and, and, saw a pit board come out and he sawit was Duff and he was just like, no.
Like he knew that Aidan was close behind him, but yeah, he, the dude is gnarly.
(59:06):
Like there's, there's no, there's no denying that for sure.
So, um, other things in the, in the two fifties, uh, triumph is cleaning up, man.
Triumph went.
Fourth, Mikkel Harrop.
Like what?
Like just coming over from Denmark and, and kicking butt, you know, so I'm like, does hestay?
Does he, cause like, think he's got, he's got a contract to go back to the four fiftieswhen it's ready, I think in, in Europe, but, um, good on him.
(59:31):
And then they went, so they went four and then they went eight, nine, 10.
Oh my gosh.
I'm so excited.
Oh gosh.
Yeah.
So Forkner, forkner went nine 11 for eight.
Julie Swal went 16, five for ninth and then Jordan Smith went 15 eight.
But I mean, to have.
to have four triumphs in the top 10, like don't think anybody saw that coming.
(59:52):
So good on them.
I think that's incredible.
other things to note, I put this down in my notes that there's, I feel like there's stilla lot of 250 shifting around um that a lot of contracts aren't signed for next year.
ah But what is the holdup on 250 contracts?
Like I know that like they have to wait till the big players kind of fall into place andlike,
(01:00:16):
Yes, Chase hasn't announced the cowy thing, but like we all know it.
Eli hasn't announced the KTM thing.
That's maybe the one that I'm like, maybe that one, maybe that is the domino that likeeverybody, every team, 450, 250 that they're waiting to fall.
like, what is happening with like contracts?
Like, I feel like we're so late.
you think if Eli confirmed like this week that he's writing World Supercross that the KTMdeal is signed?
(01:00:41):
Like would that mean that or would that mean like, I don't know.
I don't know either.
mean, let's, so we're that, that round is late November.
So if we're saying like Eli, Eli's not big air quotes, not on the bike until October one, that would give him like six weeks on it.
Um, you know, you've got to think that he's got it right now.
(01:01:02):
And he's, if he really is going to race the KTM that he's at home, you know, motoring downon it, but.
maybe that's why he's not doing well, because he's switching bikes around.
maybe that is a good point.
That is a good point.
Or maybe he's injured.
Maybe he's injured because he got thrown off the bike.
(01:01:22):
Yeah, I think so too.
would have already had to announce that.
Yeah, I don't know.
He's, he's, he's a hard one to crack, you know.
he's sick too.
I don't know.
Everybody gets Epstein bar Epstein bar for you Epstein bar for you.
Goodness gracious.
Well, this weekend is what shoe goal and this is like my, this is like my bucket list.
(01:01:44):
So like designations.
Yes.
Everybody wants to go to his nations.
want to experience red bud, like all the things, but like what shoe goal from like just atrack perspective is like my, my bucket list track.
So like, I'm going to make it out there eventually.
Um, my question for this coming weekend is like,
does Levi Kitchen finally show the F up at his home track?
(01:02:04):
Because he's been all over the place.
So like, are you thinking about Levi?
I don't think he's shown up last year either, right?
Or was it the year before?
There was one year where he did terrible at his home track.
I think it was last year.
think the year before that he did do well.
So.
yeah, I mean, he has to do better.
He's done pretty well this season getting podiums.
(01:02:24):
He's close like top podium for the championship.
So hopefully he has a good rebound.
I hope a lot of riders have a good rebound this weekend.
They're switching to a more hard pack track.
They're kind of done with the softer stuff.
So we can see some riders turn it around because they'll be back on their normal bikesettings from, you know, beginning of the season.
(01:02:47):
So.
That's the hope I will hold on to.
Yeah, I shouldn't say like he hasn't shown up.
Like I guess I'm thinking about like his individual modos because like his, just pulled uphis, his race results this year.
Um, he's, he went three, three, three, three, seven, six.
So it's not that bad.
But then when you look at it, like one race, he went eight, three, one race.
went two, six, then at red, but he went to 19, you know?
(01:03:09):
So it's like,
yeah, that's all over the map.
I think it just comes down to like what expectation we have for these writers, you know, like we expect Eli to win, you know, so when he gets a third or fourth or got a ninth, we
all spiral and we're like, what's going on?
But if AP podiumed, we're happy.
We're so happy for him.
he's writing great.
(01:03:30):
And it's like that it's because of where is that expectation?
And, know, we expect Levi to be on top.
He's one of the top 250 writers.
He's championship contender for Supercross and motocross.
So it's all coming down to where is that expectation.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, he was great last year.
mean, like he won, he won overalls last year.
(01:03:52):
Like he won Bud's Creek, Unidilla, Spring Creek.
Did he win Spring Creek?
Let me look.
Yep, Spring Creek.
But even that, like he was all over the place last year too.
Like last year he got, 12-4 for six at Wissougal and went 10-9 for nine at High Point.
So I don't know.
I mean, that's what the 250 class is for.
(01:04:12):
You know, that's what it's for.
Like you gotta figure things out.
He's there for two more years, which is crazy.
I don't know what it is.
Like maybe like in my mind, like he's older than he is because he's a taller dude, but I'mlike two more years in the two fifties.
But I understand it from like Mitch's perspective.
Like Deegan will be out of the class, um, you know, next summer, next outdoors.
(01:04:33):
Um, and then the year after that, like he won't have Deegan in, in super cross.
And if you put Deegan on West coast in, in the spring and you put Levi on the other coast,I think Levi can challenge for.
for whatever Coast Deegan's not on.
So, you you could have a run of Levi championships to Cowie.
Like we could finally see Cowie back on top in multiple like back-to-back seasons.
(01:04:56):
Yeah, no, that will be fun to see the East West Coast thing because everyone's going toput their top rider on the try to put it on the opposite coast of Deegan, you know, like
coal kitchen, you know, like they're all going to be like, OK, let's put our little B teamon Deegan's side.
But they have to even it out, too.
(01:05:18):
So it'll be interesting.
Well, you got to think that they're going to put, it's funny you brought up Cole.
Like they're, they're definitely going to split up Deegan and Cole.
Like Bobby, Bobby's not, Bobby's not dumb.
So does that mean that we're going to get a Levi Cole Davies battle?
Like all season?
Like I'm here for that.
honestly, I'm ready for Supercross at this point.
(01:05:38):
I was so excited for Motocross and now I'm ready for Supercross.
Yeah, I felt that way like kind of at this point last year.
But then, know, honestly, like I get it.
Like we're figuring out where our growing pains with World Supercross, not WorldSupercross um with Supermoto Cross.
So I'm like, okay, let's get through moto.
I'm excited about the girls.
Like I'm so excited.
(01:05:59):
The girls are getting more airtime.
um But then we've got the three rounds of, of Supermoto Cross.
So I do have to remember like we have that those are going to be wild.
Those are going to be more Eli centric tracks.
So like Eli could show up.
You never know.
um But I was not overly excited about the playoffs when they first started.
(01:06:21):
And then obviously last year when we went, I was like, this sucks, it's so hot, this isstupid, da da.
But now I'm like, okay, we've got something to look forward to after Modo.
So I'm here for that.
I'm here for, yeah.
The sport that just keeps on giving.
Yeah, seriously.
The sport that just keeps on adding races is more like it.
He's poor guys.
oh Goodness gracious.
(01:06:41):
Um, well, I think that's it.
think we, we have, we have hammered our way through, through club, ketchup and Millvilleand not Millville.
Um, where do we go?
Where were we at?
Where were we at last weekend?
Millville.
Yeah, I said Millville.
(01:07:02):
was like, wait, why am I catching myself?
I was looking at results and I got all thrown off.
um So yeah, looking forward to Wash Eagle and the chaos of the shadows and the trees andall that.
So here we go into the back half.
I'm get it done.
visually stunning track to watch because of all the trees.
(01:07:23):
yeah, it looks really difficult to ride too.
Like I know that like goggle selection is always a big deal.
Yeah, like which lenses do you run?
Do you run the tinted?
Do you run clear or whatever?
Eli is a pro in picking what lenses to use, so maybe that could be to his advantage thisweekend.
I don't know, I'm so scared to watch.
This is how I was when, Dungey came back.
(01:07:44):
I was like, I can't watch.
I can't do it.
So, um, I'm hoping that we see Kenny lineup.
You Kenny was there, um, as a spectator.
I saw him, I guess I, maybe it was press day and I was like, why, why are we postingpictures of Kenny and nobody's reporting it?
Like if he's writing or not, but, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Kenny.
(01:08:04):
race a few of these because he's going to race for Germany for a destinations.
Um, break my heart.
was hoping maybe we could get him for, for the United States, but that's okay.
That's okay.
I like that he has, you know, home pride.
Um, I hope we get to, we get to see Kenny.
Um, that would be, that would be really fun.
So I'm here for.
think he mentioned maybe the last round or we'll see.
It didn't seem promising, but for Charlotte, yeah, he'll be back.
(01:08:26):
Well, dang, now I need to go to Charlotte too, because we're trying to figure out how toget in our butts to Vegas.
We're going to do it in September.
It's going to be so freaking hot.
Oh my gosh.
we're going to be roasting.
They're going to be roasting.
Jeez.
So, well, cool deal.
Thanks for chatting today.
And so good.
(01:08:47):
It feels weird recording on a Thursday.
Like we're going to start getting like press stuff in like 12 hours.
So.
I know, so exciting and yet not exciting yet.
Not yet.
We got a whole day to wait until press.
Well, thank you so much for coming to chat with me and thank you guys for following alongand always just being like the best, best Romy's and the best encouragers and just being
(01:09:11):
so excited and asking all the questions about club and geeking out with me.
And so yeah, just love this little community of Romy's.
You guys are the best.
So if you do not already follow me on Instagram, my account is
now all on Word used to have some underscores in it.
I realize how stupid underscores are, but at Real Housewives of Modo on all the placestrying to build up the YouTubes as well, because apparently people like watching podcasts.
(01:09:35):
I love when pulp is like, you weirdos that just like, watching me talk, people are herefor it.
So you can find us on all the places, uh, Twitter or X or whatever we're calling it,Instagram, YouTube, the whole, the whole nine yards every, every so often in Tik Tok.
I get there for a second and then I bounce out and I'm like, I'm so old.
I can't do the TikTok.
So I will post and then bounce because it is not my domain.
(01:10:00):
So if you see me on TikTok...
see Jillian riding in Hayden's car with him?
I'll send it to you.
Yeah, and then you can hear Deegan in the back.
was kind of like, I need to slow down.
I can't get pulled over.
That's true.
No, really.
my gosh.
No, he's a wild child.
(01:10:20):
Yeah, send it to old grandma.
Fave grandma.
Were you on the cruise when that happened?
When he called me?
When Deacon called me?
yes, that was insane.
Like, you do not, you are not old and you do not look old.
not offended by that in the least.
Like he, he used that, that same clap back on a number of moto moms.
Like he, he said something to another moto mom and was like, what are you like 50 orsomething?
(01:10:44):
And she's like, obviously in her thirties.
And I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Like I Twitter people are like, man, Deacon versus moto moms was not on my bingo card.
That's when you know you made it though, when Deegan comments on your post.
You know, I'm here for it.
And it was so funny.
People were like, you're just using him for clicks.
And I'm like, no, literally I wrote that in the caption that I'm using this for clicks.
(01:11:05):
Like, yes, you're brilliant.
You figured it out.
And my favorites, I'll say this and then we'll end our chat.
My favorites are his younger kids.
Also all these amateurs that are like mouthing off at me, like I got a list.
So when you were trying to get signed by club, you think I ain't gonna send that list toDB so fast?
No, I'm not that petty.
(01:11:26):
don't care that much about you on your, your 65.
It's okay.
But when they like mouth off at me and they're like, Hayden is the best and they spellHayden's name wrong.
Like, I'm like, are you serious?
Like spell his name right?
So like my only clap back to them is like correcting it.
It's a weird spelling.
name is Hayden and he spells it H-A-Y-D-E-N.
So when it's Hayden Deegan I have to think about like, okay, it's spelled differently.
(01:11:48):
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, when I do like the the like auto-generated captions it spells at H-A-Y-D-E-N but I'mlike if you're gonna come at me and like tag me in in in my post and be like Screw you
Hayden Deegan's the best and then spell it wrong.
I'm like freaking idiot.
So whatever whatever I love it engagement algorithm.
Thank you.
I'll take it though That is enough for us.
(01:12:11):
We do not need to give Hayden Deegan any more airtime He is good on that word.
He does not need my help.
He does not need grandma's help.
So
Alrighty, well we will chat next week after Washugal.
Bye.
