Having received the adoption as sons into God's family, the believers are now heirs of God and thus have birth right to God's inheritance (Gal. 4:6-7).
But much more, the believers are also now joint heirs with Jesus Christ, who is the Firstborn Son of God and the One who has the right to the Double Portion of all that God has. Therefore, the believers now share the same birthright with Christ.
