Lynne Jones shares her story of over 30 years working in early childhood education and advocacy. She started her career working with incarcerated youth and women before realizing she wanted to have more of a positive impact on children at a younger age. After struggling to find stable work, she decided to open her own childcare center. She faced many challenges starting the business while also dealing with family health issues. However, she persevered and was able to open her first center. Several years later, she took a chance and opened a second center in North Carolina. Owning two centers across state lines brought additional regulatory hurdles. Lynne discussed the pride she takes in her entrepreneurial journey, starting from nothing and learning the business side through experience. After over a decade of hard work and obstacles, she has been able to achieve stability and ownership of multiple properties.
