This Week On Sliding Through Dimensions: "The Guardian" (Season 3 Episode 4)
In this emotional Season 3 episode Sliding Through Dimensions, the Sliders arrive on an Earth where time moves about twelve years slower than they're used to. Before the slide, Professor Arturo reveals he has a terminal brian tumor and decides he wants to start living life to the fullest with daring adventures and cultural experiences.
On this world, Quinn encounters his younger self-about ten years old- who is struggling with the recent loss of his father. Determined to prevent that trauma, Quinn steps into his double's life and offers guidance-teaching him self defense and even stepping into a romantic connection with a woman from his past, Heather Hanley.
As Quinn shapes his younger self's past, Arturo embraces some adventures like opera, boxing, and bungee jumping trying to live fully before time runs out. By the episode's end, the act of helping younger self face down a group of bullies and giving him new confidence, gives Older Quinn hope that his future is changed for the better.
