Edgar Hoover seized control after President Kennedy's assassination, establishing a policed state that has suppressed the Constitution for over 30 years.
Upon arrival, Wade witnesses a murder and retrieves a mysterious microdot from the victom. Sliding to the next world, the team finds themsleves in a similar authoritarian society, where the same murder is about to occur. This time, Wade intervenes, Causing the assailant to be killed, who is revealed to be a police officer.
The Sliders become entangled in a complex conspiracy involving the suppressed Constitution and a resistance movement. With the help of a local judge and his daughter, they uncover a plan to restore constitutinal governance by distributing the document through a underground network. As they navigate this dangerous enviorment, the team avoid the oppressive authorities, decipher the significance of the microdot, and assist the resistance in there quest for freedom- all while ensuring they don't miss their next slide.
