After seeing there is some confusion regarding multiple proposed initiatives in Kern County we thought we would share where to find information so you can make an informed decision regarding the sales tax measure in the City of Tehachapi.

We explain that the proposed sales tax measures do not overlap with any other proposed measures and the highest sales tax anyone would pay in the City of Tehachapi would be 8.25% if the measure passes. The current sales tax rate of 7.25% is the lowest in California and has been for several decades.
