Today's Paryushan.
Paryushan is a very specialword, as the word itself it has
to.
The root is a vass Vass, nivase.
Vass means to live, to reside,to stay, and Pary is a prefix.

When a prefix added with theroot, it changes the meaning of
it.
Vass means to live, but Paryvass becomes Paryushan.
Pary vass means now to livewholeheartedly close to it.

wherever you find in your body,you find in the same whole thing

It seems like we don't have tosearch or seek or discover the
universe.
Why don't you discover thisbody?
If we can discover this body,we are able to discover the
whole universe.

But scientists, what do they do, they try to discover the whole
universe.
And when they try to discoverwhere they can reach, maybe to
the moon, maybe to the Mars Max,and that is not too far.
Our universe is infinite.

If, with the satellite we gofrom to the space, our millions
of generation can continue.
My baby is born in thesatellite.
We continue, continue in thatmillions of generation cannot

even pass one galaxy.
One galaxy ages so big.

In the universe?

One is heart line, one is lifeline and one is your mind line.

Maybe your horoscope, if youbelieve in astrology, maybe will
lie to you.
Why?
Because time can be different.
If it is one minute difference,your horoscope will be all
wrong and you are believing inthat horoscope.

But your hand cannot lie.
Your whole body we need todiscover.
If we can discover our wholebody, you cannot believe that
you have millions of nerves inthis body.

No wonder in Buddhism they teachVipassana.
What is Vipassana?
It is very simple that travelwith your breath within every
million of nerves.
Wherever your breath goes, youfollow it.

In another word, they call itAnapanasati the breath going in,
going out.
You go in and you go out.
Same time with the breath youtravel.
The whole system is based onlearn or discover.

The biggest discovery is yourown body.
If you can discover your body,you can discover the whole
universe.
Let me tell you, today is thefirst day of Perusion.
Perusion is a special word.
Perusion also has another name.
It is called Astanika.

Astanika means eight specialdays, an means day.
Astanika means eight.
Astanika is the real word, butin Judaism it took a different

way.
They call it Hanika, theycelebrate it.
Hanika means special day, butit somehow it is Astanika.
It means eight.
It disappears, but Hanikaremains same.
Astanika is another name ofthis.

Perusion is purely spiritualcelebration.
Millions of people in India arearound the world.
I am talking millions.
They are fasting.
(11:47):
Why they want to fast?
There is a reason that theywant to disconnect from the all
distraction.
Because we fulfill theirdesires of our senses every day.
Now you can distract.

It is distraction.
If suppose somebody likes adessert, some kind of dessert,
maybe like a cake.
Suppose Cake is not here, butas soon as they say cake, their
(12:33):
mouth begins to water.
Why we are into it?
We are into senses, we are intosomewhere else.
Our so much distraction.
Let me tell you in your stomachthere are 72,000 main nerves
(12:55):
right there and they are likehere 72,000 main nerves.
And if main nerves are fullyblocked you cannot think
straight.
You are always confused, likeyou are always in illusion.

In Upanishad we call it MayaIllusion.
Illusion is whatever you see.
It is not right the way it is.
Maybe you see something else init and that's what our whole
life goes on.
In illusion, we begin to thinkthis is my friend, but remember,

when time will come, yourfriend will leave you the first.
But it is our illusion.
Our illusion is oh, they aremine, they are mine, nobody is
yours, you are not somebody elseeither.
One day, either you leave themor they will leave you.

You never know it and no matterhow much we promise, we still
leave it.
Two birds they were living inone tree and they found out

there is a big storm comingAfter few days.
The birds, creatures, otheranimals, they have instinct, but
the human lost their instinct.
Why we lost our instinct?

Because of lot of stress,burden, responsibility, tension,
so much going on in our mind.
So when these things go on allemotions, anger, ego,

deceitfulness, hate, jealousy,negativity we lose our ability.
But the animals, they don'tlose it.
Birds, they don't lose itBecause they don't live into the
desires, they live into thenecessities only If they get
(15:48):
food and water.
That is the real necessity ofour life.
No matter you are rich, you arepoor, but you need water and
food.
The rich people, they eat thesame food.
Poor people, they can eatdifferently, but they eat the
same food.

Food is the same Basically.
Basically, food is the same andthat is our necessity.
Without that we cannot survive.
Right, that is the way we are.
A rich person can go in a realfancy restaurant.
(16:29):
A poor person can go in maybethe other kind of restaurant,
but they can both go.
Necessity but desires is thebiggest distraction.
That's why all religion, allenlightened people, they are
(16:54):
telling you to discover your ownbody.
If you can discover your ownbody, you will be surprised.
Otherwise, nobody age youcannot trust.
They live together, two birds,and they saw that it is coming
(17:15):
the biggest storm after a fewdays.
So the male was little hesitantand he asked his partner that
do you ever leave me?
I am getting old?
(17:37):
Oh no, no matter what happens,I am never going to leave you,
no matter what happens.
That is what we promise to eachother.
Worst time, I will stand withyou forever.

We don't want to face thereality.
The reality is this whatever weare believing, that is your

illusion.
Illusion is when you, walkinginto the dark, suddenly a rope,
a wire in the dark and you seethat, oh, it is a snake.
Illusion and we get scared.
That's what all over, if I willcount it everywhere is illusion

in your life.
You think they will live withme forever, they will be always
with me.
No, in that moment will come,time will come.
Everybody lives.
You Don't live in this illusion.

Before any time comes, deathknock your door.
You better discover who you are.
Perusion gives the message everyyear discover your own self.
In Acharang Sutra Acharang isvery is one oldest book.

In the Jain scripture, one ofthe scripture, the first
scripture, there is a sayingthat ege aya, soul is one.
So today is first day ofPerusion.
If you can find out ege aya,the soul is one.

But how are you going to findout, unless you go backward?
You have to feel this alldistraction.
And I can tell you veryconfidently and guarantee, if

you know one thing, jo egamjaanai, so samvam jaanai, that
if you know one thing, you knowthe whole thing.
But if you try to know thewhole thing, you will not know
even one thing.
What is one thing?

One thing is your soul.
The person who knows your soul,your own soul.
They know everything.
The person who try to knoweverything, they will not even
know the one thing.
So today is the first day toknow your own self, who you are,

discover your own body.
Everything is here.
One, the person who makes themaps.
What is the word for in English, big maps?
(23:34):
What is that?
No maps.
The design of the houseArchitect, one architect.
He was hired by a king that ifyou can make a big map of the

whole universe, I am going togive you millions of dollars,
but I have to be satisfied thatyou make the right thing.
All galaxies, all stars, allthese milky waves, sun moons,
(24:24):
everything.
He said I will try my best.
He started working on it andthe king provided him the
biggest house.
That if you need a big housesomewhere, big house, you can
live there, your family can livethere.

But you work on that map, themap of the universe, not map of
the world universe.
Our world is very tiny.
If you will see, comparatively,the whole universe, your earth,
our earth, here, it will belittle dark.
Sometime I tell people hey,comparatively, the whole

universe, your earth is littledark.
Where do you stand for?
Can you believe it.
Why to be egoistic then?
If earth is a one dark, whenyou compare the map of the whole
universe, where do you stand?
Just think about it.

Why to be angry?
Why to be egoistic?
Why to be greedy?
Why not to just learn who youare?
Why not to discover your owndiscovery, the real discovery?

He started making that map.
He has a two years old littlebaby.
He is making the map.
It took him 10 years, 15 yearswhole of his life.
Finally, he completed the map.

He was so happy.
But the day he was completinghis wife said hey, I am going to
the market.
Can you just take care of thebaby?
He is asleep.
Okay, alright, Little boy issleeping.

His mother left.
He completed the map.
After completing the map he gotso relaxed.
When you complete your job, alltension, all stress, everything

disappears.
He fell asleep.
He said baby is sleeping.
He fell asleep.
He totally sounds asleep.
He is not aware about it.
Baby woke up.
And baby woke up.

He started crawling.
And what baby does?
First thing, Whatever on theway, he just destroyed it,
chewed it.
He is chewing it, destroying it.
He found the biggest toy andwhen he heard the little sound,

somehow he woke up.
When he woke up, he couldn'tbelieve what he has seen in
front of you Whole of his life.
He was able to complete the mapof the universe.
Now, in front of his eyes,everything is destroyed.

He got so mad, but he cannot doanything.
It is a baby, right, when thebaby baby is a baby, you cannot
do anything.
But he is very angry.
The feeling says he wants tokill it, but he cannot do

anything.
He is so mad.
He is so mad.
If he just wishes that, I justkill him right away, but he
cannot do it.
Baby Mother came back.
She saw the disaster too.
He is trying to take the babyaway and he is trying to collect

His whole efforts, his wholehard work is gone to the dirt.
He is working four hours, sixhours, eight hours, to collect
all the and try to patch.
It Doesn't patch, he is failed.

He has another child, grown up,goes to school.
Comes back home, dad, what areyou doing?
You are so mad, you are soangry.
Look what your brother did.

All of my hard work is gone.
We could have been millionairestoday.
I was presenting today this tothe king, but everything is gone

Dad, relax, you need to relax.
You said relax, my whole hardwork is gone, whole of life.
That, dad, you go to the otherroom.

That you will take care of it.
Yeah, I will take care of it.

You go to the other room.
He just pushed him away andlocked his room outside.

Dad's map is ready.
Then what he saw, he couldn'tbelieve his eyes.

what he made it.

He even forgot what was the key.

of a man, human body.

Actually, human body is the keyto enter into the whole
universe.
That story can be a story, butit is the truth.

If you want to know the wholeuniverse, don't forget Human

Hindus in India, they keeprepeating every day this key,

but not a single Swamy, singleHindu is aware about this is the
key and they are repeatingevery day.
I am shocked that they didn'tfind that this is the key.
They say Narayan, narayan,narayan, narayan, narayan means

God.
In Hindu culture, narayan,narayan, narayan.
It is a common word in Indiaand among Hindu they repeat this
word.
Narayan Narayan, narayan meansGod, god, god.
We repeat here God.
We say God.
But they repeat Narayan Narayan.

There's devotional song, srimanNarayan, narayan, narayan.
They always sing that they arenot aware about.
This is the key.
Narayan means God and to reachthat God, what is the key?

Nar means human, nar means human.

It is us.
We don't see it.
We are blind.
When we are blind, we cannotsee because our path is totally
different.
We try to know everything else.

The real message is knowyourself.
You are the key, your body isthe key.

There are oceans, there arerivers, there are stars, milky
ways.

technique today, how you canenter into your own body and you

You are, you have that ability.
E C Bhashya is one very oldestbook I found in Prakrit language
, 22nd chapter, 14th Gatha, 14thShloka.

root of the tree, the root ofthe tree, Savvasya sadhu
dhammasya.
Same way, all the spiritualpractitioners, jhanam vidhiyate,

tassa jhanam vidhiyate, if theywill find their root.
All spiritual practitioners,all spiritual practitioners.
That is called meditation.
If you can find the root.
And what is the root of thehuman body?

Seesam jaha sarerasaya, like thehead, I think we have to find
the head first, because head isthe main issue.
Head is the main problem.
Head is the one which createsall the tension, which creates

all the stress, which createsall the illusion, which creates
all the avidya or attachment orhatred.
It is all head.
Maybe your roots are totallypolluted, maybe either we have
to, we try to learn meditation,but we don't try to purify the

head, the roots.
Can you believe?
If a tree has roots and they arepolluted, something is eating
the roots of the tree.
Tree will die, and there aremany things happen some kind of
disease, bacteria sometimes,they begin to eat the root of

If the root is gone, whole treeis gone.
Same thing, seesam jahasarerasaya.
Our roots is in our head.
If we can make purify our head,our roots, this whole human

body will be very healthy.
If your head is polluted, thenthat's what it is happening.
Our roots are totally polluted.
It is into the dirt.
It is okay.
Into the dirt.
Tree blossoms, as long assomebody is not eating the roots

Same thing, it is okay.
Our head is polluted, polluted.
What is the biggest pollutionin our head?
That's what all our roots arepolluted.
Our roots, human, is upsidedown tree, our roots into the

head and the journey begins tothe head.
If you want to enter to yoursoul, if you want to find or
discover who you are, the path,the road to go through the head

and head is our root.
Our root has to be very healthy.
If our roots are not healthy,our body will not work.
We cannot meditate.

Now this head look like a littlehead, but it is the whole

In your head there is a littlebrain, just a little brain.
It is your computer.

When first time the scientiststhey discover the brain, there
is a lower faculty, upperfaculty, left faculty, right

in it, like light bulbs, but itis blinking and those days when
they were discovering it theycouldn't count it how many they

Now we are advanced intechnology.
When we are advanced intechnology, we can count it.
Now we count it in our littlebrain.
Billion, one billion light bulbsare blinking.

Can you believe one billion inone little things?
Light bulbs, and they areblinking it.
Now the scientists got confused, as usual.
Scientists are always confused.

If there is no confusion, theydon't go forward.
If there is confusion, theyinspire them.

you are not confused you willnot search, you will not
discover.

What is a billion bulb In onelight bulb blinking in our brain

One?
It is like a chip, computerchip.

How much memory it can store?
I am talking one, even youriPhone.
One little can store millionsof information, or billions.
Maybe.

Can you believe you have abillion chips and people are so
afraid that, hey, time will come.
Some dictator will.
When the baby is born in thehospital, they will just put the
chips in their brain right awayand they will control the whole

That dictator, and it canhappen, a human becoming a robot
already, the way they arebrainwashed.
Time will come, they will berobot.
It is becoming and it willhappen.

Our life, sooner or later itwill be robot.
Why AI?
Ai is there already.
Artificial intelligence willmake you all robot.
You don't have to even think,you just ask AI.

you have millions of nerves inthis body.

What is Vipassana?
It is very simple that travelwith your breath within every
million of nerves.
Wherever your breath goes, youfollow it.

In another word, they call itAnapanasati the breath going in,
going out.
You go in and you go out.
Same time with the breath youtravel.
The whole system is based onlearn or discover.

The biggest discovery is yourown body.
If you can discover your body,you can discover the whole
universe.
Let me tell you, today is thefirst day of Perusion.
Perusion is a special word.
Perusion also has another name.
It is called Astanika.

Astanika means eight specialdays, an means day.
Astanika means eight.
Astanika is the real word, butin Judaism it took a different

They call it Hanika, theycelebrate it.
Hanika means special day, butit somehow it is Astanika.
It means eight.
It disappears, but Hanikaremains same.
Astanika is another name ofthis.

Perusion is purely spiritualcelebration.
Millions of people in India arearound the world.
I am talking millions.
They are fasting.

Why they want to fast?
There is a reason that theywant to disconnect from the all
distraction.
Because we fulfill theirdesires of our senses every day.
Now you can distract.

It is distraction.
If suppose somebody likes adessert, some kind of dessert,
maybe like a cake.
Suppose Cake is not here, butas soon as they say cake, their

mouth begins to water.
Why we are into it?
We are into senses, we are intosomewhere else.
Our so much distraction.
Let me tell you in your stomachthere are 72,000 main nerves

right there and they are likehere 72,000 main nerves.
And if main nerves are fullyblocked you cannot think
straight.
You are always confused, likeyou are always in illusion.

In Upanishad we call it MayaIllusion.
Illusion is whatever you see.
It is not right the way it is.
Maybe you see something else init and that's what our whole
life goes on.
In illusion, we begin to thinkthis is my friend, but remember,

when time will come, yourfriend will leave you the first.
But it is our illusion.
Our illusion is oh, they aremine, they are mine, nobody is
yours, you are not somebody elseeither.
One day, either you leave themor they will leave you.

You never know it and no matterhow much we promise, we still

Two birds they were living inone tree and they found out

The birds, creatures, otheranimals, they have instinct, but
the human lost their instinct.
Why we lost our instinct?

Because of lot of stress,burden, responsibility, tension,
so much going on in our mind.
So when these things go on allemotions, anger, ego,

deceitfulness, hate, jealousy,negativity we lose our ability.
But the animals, they don'tlose it.
Birds, they don't lose itBecause they don't live into the
desires, they live into thenecessities only If they get

food and water.
That is the real necessity ofour life.
No matter you are rich, you arepoor, but you need water and
food.
The rich people, they eat thesame food.
Poor people, they can eatdifferently, but they eat the
same food.

Food is the same Basically.
Basically, food is the same andthat is our necessity.
Without that we cannot survive.
Right, that is the way we are.
A rich person can go in a realfancy restaurant.

A poor person can go in maybethe other kind of restaurant,
but they can both go.
Necessity but desires is thebiggest distraction.
That's why all religion, allenlightened people, they are

telling you to discover your ownbody.
If you can discover your ownbody, you will be surprised.
Otherwise, nobody age youcannot trust.
They live together, two birds,and they saw that it is coming

the biggest storm after a fewdays.

know the one thing.
So today is the first day toknow your own self, who you are,

All galaxies, all stars, allthese milky waves, sun moons,

live there, your family can livethere.

Can you believe it.
Why to be egoistic then?
If earth is a one dark, whenyou compare the map of the whole
universe, where do you stand?
Just think about it.

Why not to just learn who youare?
Why not to discover your owndiscovery, the real discovery?

He is making the map.

He was able to complete the mapof the universe.
Now, in front of his eyes,everything is destroyed.

Seesam jaha sarirasya, like thehead is the root of the human

They say, like the Seesam jahasarirasya, like the head Is the
root of the body, like howMoolam jaha dumasaya write the

root of the tree, the root ofthe tree, Savvasya sadhu
dhammasya.
Same way, all the spiritualpractitioners, jhanam vidhiyate,

tassa jhanam vidhiyate, if theywill find their root.
All spiritual practitioners,all spiritual practitioners.
That is called meditation.
If you can find the root.
And what is the root of thehuman body?

Seesam jaha sarerasaya, like thehead, I think we have to find
the head first, because head isthe main issue.
Head is the main problem.
Head is the one which createsall the tension, which creates

all the stress, which createsall the illusion, which creates
all the avidya or attachment orhatred.
It is all head.
Maybe your roots are totallypolluted, maybe either we have
to, we try to learn meditation,but we don't try to purify the

head, the roots.
Can you believe?
If a tree has roots and they arepolluted, something is eating
the roots of the tree.
Tree will die, and there aremany things happen some kind of
disease, bacteria sometimes,they begin to eat the root of

If the root is gone, whole treeis gone.
Same thing, seesam jahasarerasaya.
Our roots is in our head.
If we can make purify our head,our roots, this whole human

body will be very healthy.
If your head is polluted, thenthat's what it is happening.
Our roots are totally polluted.
It is into the dirt.

What is the biggest pollutionin our head?

So the headstand to do too long, it is very wrong.
But all the yoga teachers theydon't know it.

the blood goes to your headbecause you are standing upside
down, you stand against right,so the whole blood will be

purified.
It will circulate everywhere.

one month.
Practice is right, but usersare wrong.
That's what we don't goanywhere.

Isi Bhasyasutra is the rightthing.
He is telling this the seesam,jaha sarira sya, that our head,
like our head, is the root ofthe human body, like the root of
the tree.
Same way, samvasahu, samvasya,sadhu, dhammasya.
