How do you handle living in these intense times? With so much global change, including economic change, this may leave us feeling vulnerable and fearful. Our guest today is author and spiritual teacher Isha Judd. She talks about how we do not have to fall into the trap of being a victim. She teaches that we can shift our perspective to become more playful. If we focus on what she calls “love-consciousness,” we can learn to feel more secure. Our fears are not our reality. Our fears are about the future. If things affect you, you can go inner and find solutions. External security doesn’t exist, especially in a constantly changing world.
Isha talks about the massive breakdown she had when she was 28 years old when she lost everything. Her life was in crisis. Her father died, her boyfriend died, her mother had a massive brain tumor, she lost her job, and her finances crashed all during the same time. She was overwhelmed and lost. Nothing was working on the outside. By soul-searching, she knew she could only go into herself. It was necessary to stop looking outside and go internal.
Isha talks about how to free yourself from the most common fear-based illusions we cling to out of habit, how to empower yourself to permeate all your roles and responsibilities with love-consciousness, and more.
Her objective was to find permanent joy and peace. She believes she can find love and acceptance every day. She discusses surrendering. In the past, she was always very successful. She was an overachiever because inside she didn’t feel valued. She learned to be non-judgmental, which led to acceptance, and then empowerment.
This is available to everyone. Isha has taught thousands of people a simple system that shows how to find the luminous state of mind she calls “love-consciousness,” in which every moment of life — even the most challenging and frustrating — can be filled with love, peace, and self-acceptance.
Isha is the founder of Isha Educating for Peace and the author of “Why Walk When You Can Fly?” She travels throughout the world teaching diverse groups, including prisoners, ex–guerrilla soldiers, troubled youths, and the general public her unique approach to life and love. Born in Australia, she now lives in Uruguay. Info: www.ishajudd.com
