(00:08):
Hao and Jay
我觉得也是end of an era

(00:30):
what do you guys think

It is what it is, I guess

就完全 it shouldnt be that way

On day 1, 你可能收入100万

the whole chain is gonna go down
Arthur

(03:40):
还是i mean

OK it looks Kinda cool

no no no瑜伽馆不用成本

对啊that's crazy

我不如就是give you a beautiful picture yeah

(09:01):

make sense
interesting

oh yeah over不是all the time

(11:52):
what's going on
are you okay啊
所以he cares

呃也帮我脱离了minor depression kind of situation

(13:40):

Bellula

difference

(15:08):
is is a selling point

Z&B Fitness

i will never take a shower there ah you know

(18:03):
Don't really yeah
i can't do that
huh okay
but i don't want to see it all the time
hahaha'cause it's not um

(18:25):
at least my team you know

就是public shower no problem
i can't i can't
no never never
but they have a courtesy towel

they have like a courtesy towel that you put on your junk

我就not a big deal

yes it is it is it is对它就是一个影

(21:41):
for sure

(22:22):
是everybody does it
i know exactly how it affects it

oh my god it's stressful

(22:44):
it's huge like i would go through one every
month and i still lost like twenty pounds just straight off the

it's it's way more than i thought

no but it helps but it helps
i'm not gonna spend more time to talk to my friends
or a therapist
i can't i don't have time after just being the be there
um you know get it get it open as soon as possible time is money
hmm then i mean

(23:48):
hmm it takes the edge off yeah
也就maybe like one or two high balls and do it
一个月喝完什么frequency is almost every day

(24:12):

哈哈哈you're doing a good thing

really yeah i do我是相信这个东西的
i don't know这个人把什么东西

(26:18):
i don't know催眠

(26:38):

release control
you gay

(26:59):
you mean gay
gay halfway

why are we talking about this

(27:40):
no no way我非常慌了

我不无法放弃我的control of me
然后也会do crazy shit

(28:02):
但是但就就lost control you lost control
因为他有自己的control on you

(28:24):
所以我就觉得这个东西我i don't want it
或是just nice it's why not
Crutch

(28:44):
Crutch
Pre workout

sure yeah

Stretch
呃go Bord love

(30:53):

Don't do anything different

my lucky socks
my lucky underwear

are you kind of doing it yourself
too
with the song and everything you know

Bingo yeah

you know it doesn't change anything for them

(34:44):

运动表现是一个full special of different things

(36:28):
white Legion yeah yeah

Mobility
long distance,zone two Cardio

(37:54):

你需要go back to Zero

i think so too

Crossfit

嗯 that's a huge problem

specific warm up

你刚刚说的就time costly you know tiring it's boring

what's going on

然后说i'm exhausted
i loved it剩几个

love it就we understand这个东西是有用的

觉得this is useless yeah i hate it

(50:08):
here's two ways you can do this
you either educate them or you select who plays

okay this guy cause all the time only don't bluff
就是you know啊

no i'll blame myself
啊对
i'll re reflect and reevaluate how i play

嗯啊你you lift up to your degree
yeah
that's it let's do it

(52:17):

i don't know你为什么选择这样子

(53:39):

Koda
i want to do kinesiology
yeah you know

对 我只想work with people

it is! but at a cost

(55:30):
certain amount of money
yeah just to eat social food
well not really but you get whatever okay
like at least the experiences better

(58:42):
i don't know我也我会不会做

this is wrong

(59:46):

嗯and that's a problem

you're wrong

that's it like what do you think about it teach
they don't do that它不让

(01:03:43):
it's just dry data it doesn't mean anything

you get nothing嗯
嗯 可能它只是一个correlation,its not causation

(01:04:26):

然后也可以you know

but i like it

我说you sure maybe

然后就i don't do it anymore嗯

hope to see everyone there
yeah uh

(01:11:36):
very unique place
amazing
okay啊大家
i hope to see you there啊
thank you okay好 拜拜
Hello everyone, today is Hao and Jay
Welcome to my podcast.
Thanks for having us.
And one of the things I want to talk about today is actually Wills Gym is basically closed now.
This brand no longer exists.
It can't be said that it doesn't exist,
but it's basically over.
I think it's the end of an era
They were everywhere when I came to China
but now they are almost nowhere.
Why is this industry so difficult?
And why is this industry now
It has been opening a store and closing a store.
In fact, Will‘s Gym is doing so fast and not doing well.
I'm quite surprised.
Because as far as I know
it was acquired by LVMH.
OK, so at least I think he has someone behind him.
it won't be so fast.
I think there are three points
why this industry is so difficult.
The first one is the rent.
The rent in Shanghai is really high.
It's outrageous.
It's outrageous.
The second is that the market awareness is still low.
People don't know the importance of exercise.
or they may have their own needs,
They don't know.
Another problem is the industry
the industry has a bad reputation.
Because in my opinion, practitioners should not practice
and at least most of them shouldn't be in this industry.
They don't have the professional knowledge.
They don't even like what they do, you know.
They just want to get money, and its wrong intention.
I think these three are the main reasons
I think so.
Let's not talk about Wills Gym here.
such as chain fitness brands.
They will keep opening because I think
because many gyms
the most profitable time is when they just open.
Then they will have a large number of new members who will go to buy classes
That's when they make the most money.
They may have a
they may offer a discounted trial price.
If one closes, they have to fill a hole.
Yes, they will slowly fill the hole.
and fill the holes.
So they will always have holes to fill,
and then open another one to fill the hole.
They will use this temporary price.
So I think it should be because of this.
Of course, this is not a good thing.
They have to keep filling the holes.
Maybe they can't continue because of this.
and then the capital chain is broken.
Maybe someone doesn't support it, right?
I think there are misunderstandings about cash flow and profit.
Like what Jay said
They will, uh, promote at first.
to attract many customers and make them pay.
But in fact, these are all debts.
Yeah.
On day 1, you may earn 1 million
but the one million yuan of debt
because you didn't spend the time,
money,
or the time or effort you promised,
Then if he keeps going like this, one day it will be like an epidemic
you won't be able to keep your promise.
And during this period,
you can't earn more money
to maintain your rent,
and other things.
然后就 the chain is broken one by one domino effect
Arthur, have you ever heard of one of those yoga studios?
reaction?
I mean
Yoga studio.
a very cool thing in China is
They will open a
also for trial operation.
It's newly opened in a mall.
In the mall.
Then a new yoga studio is opened.
It's clean,
with mirrors,
Then a very restaurant space
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then lucky people can sign up.
and when the class will start,
The coach is ready.
It will close on the day of class.
Everyone paid.
It just closed down.
Run away
Have you been a lot recently?
It's always been like this.
It's always been there.
Even the coach was cheated.
The recent one may not be so sudden.
But have you heard of Longwei Fitness?
No, I haven't.
The boss started by building a personal brand,
saying that he would not run away.
And then this and that.
and then opened several branches.
I also saved it on Dianping.
Well, I thought
I want to go and see different
different markets.
and the operation model.
I checked it out.
because I wanted to see the iron gym,
like iron gyms.
Uh, it's a venue.
to try it.
When I wanted to go, I searched,
it was closed and gone.
And I saw on TikTok that they took the money and ran away,
and they kept cursing.
It happened suddenly, just recently.
This is what happened to my client.
They told me that
that the money is basically unrecoverable.
Yes, because the person has run away.
Yeah, this is actually very scary.
And you won't suspect them in the dream.
Yeah, so many of these.
Yes.
the law and regulatory authorities
the punishment,
or the way of enforcement
is actually
It's like a slap on the back of your hand.
It hurts a bit,
but it won't hurt me.
Yes, the cost of crime
is very low,
So they dare to do these things.
And now, for example, if I were
a store goes bankrupt.
the first in line may not be the customers.
Generally, it's said that
usually employees get what they deserve first.
But in fact, the employees can't even get it.
and customers definitely can't get it.
Are you talking about fitness?
What you just said
any kind of store.
No.
yoga studio is the best.
Are you talking about Longwei Fitness?
the yoga studio is the best way.
Women's money is easy to earn.
Yes.
No, no, no, yoga studio doesn't cost much.
It only needs a space.
and a few mats.
Just a few mats.
This is the most profitable, okay?
Yeah.
Yes.
It's violent, like a gym.
you have to put some equipment for people to see.
Yes, your T-shirts are so expensive.
I just need a space for my yoga studio.
mirrors and so on.
is enough.
E-sports is like this.
I just need a space and I can run.
This space is for you to do whatever you want.
That's crazy.
I can understand why they do this.
It's also because the punishment is not severe enough.
Right?
You feel that
then I dare to do this.
If the punishment is really severe,
many people would not do it.
But do you think
If
if consumers' trust is low now,
especially for
gyms or yoga studios,
If my trust is low,
why don't more gyms offer session cards
instead of annual or monthly cards?
I've thought about the pay-per-use card.
And now there are indeed shorter-term products,
products have changed from annual cards to quarterly cards,
or monthly cards.
Some magnetic cards have indeed increased.
I have seen.
But I have also thought about it.
My gym is
should do this, but
It's just a matter of exercise habits.
People may still want to make money from those who don't come.
If you really do magnetic cards,
you can earn money every time they come.
But to be honest, many people are on a whim.
but they may come a few times and never come again.
Uh-huh.
Since I know this,
I might as well give you a beautiful picture.
Then I'll give you a beautiful picture.
Then let you buy an annual card,
and lend you twice, okay?
and earn the rest of the money.
There are many such merchants.
And I think it's reasonable to be honest.
But a single-use card means I promise you once,
and you fail me once.
I think this is the most direct
and the most honest one for me.
a business model.
You come once, and I serve you once, and that's it.
we both keep our word.
But I think this
this model is the most reasonable.
But look at Class Plus,
you see, these are not like that.
This is indeed the most reasonable for guests.
But for your business behavior,
it may not be right.
This logic doesn't make sense.
There are assassins in China.
we have.
But is there only one that only makes
I don't have only刺卡.
Super Star counts.
I don't know them.
I remember they used to be
They also need to charge every time.
I can share with you.
I remember the recharge option just came out.
I remember they were once
Once is once.
to book group classes.
I remember.
I don't think they are doing that well now.
I see many Super Stars are full.
You can go in and see.
The business is good.
The business is very good.
The business is super good.
When I returned to China in twenty twenty and twenty twenty-one,
they were really good.
And the location
were in good locations.
But now,
some of their stores have already been closed.
Well.
They started closing unprofitable stores last year.
Ah.
It makes sense.
Hongqiao World is also closed.
And many other places have also closed.
Some of them are doing well.
Some places are really profitable.
They only close the profitable ones,
even the ones that were breaking even.
Interesting.
Just talk about it.
Just talked about刺考.
I can share one.
I have a teacher in Taiwan who is
I often learn professional things from him.
Their gym is very special.
They pay twice a week.
OK.
You must pay twice a week.
and I often learn professional things from him.
It's to ensure
His approach is to
He wants to force you to develop a habit of exercise.
So, if you miss one class,
You pay twice this week.
If you miss one class,
he won't refund you.
He will force you to do it three times next week.
Yes.
His fee is two, two, two, two times a week.
He said at least twice a week.
For us coaches, when we look at this matter,
Of course, I can give you two classes a week.
You can take such classes.
and the effect can be maintained continuously.
Because once a week, the effect cannot be continuous.
Yes, that's the case for us.
So twice a week is a minimum requirement.
which is the minimum requirement.
Yes, yes.
It must be twice a week.
I've seen this.
and then,
I think this is also very responsible for the guests.
I hope you come twice a week.
and then
I also hope to convey some of the ideas I want to convey.
to you, because if you only come once,
you don't really care about it.
I don't care much either.
It feels tiring.
But for this kind of business,
twice a week,
it actually takes a lot of courage.
Well, your business model
to operate your store like this,
It takes a lot of courage.
Yes, because it's not an easy thing to do.
how to retain customers,
and how to retain them.
It's hard, I think twice a week is too difficult.
So I've thought about whether to do this before,
Ha ha, I don't dare.
What do you use in your studio now?
I only have ten times at most.
I just do it ten times.
I think a ten-time card is totally fine.
Yes, it's ten times.
Mike's is just ten times.
How about your York's class?
is just like ours, it depends on luck.
Whether they will come today or not.
I just let them tell me by themselves.
I won't ask the Jiang Taigong way.
Yeah, I'll go if someone comes.
But yes, I will take the initiative to swim.
At least our coach will take the initiative.
I think it's my problem.
I don't like to ask others if they want to come.
I don't like to ask.
That is to say,
It's like I'm in desperate need of this class.
I don't want to appear like that.
Ah, yes, yes.
Although maybe it's not for them,
they may not think so.
But I might have
How should I put it?
Hmm.
Actually, I'm a little confused.
I quite like my coach chasing me.
Oh yeah, over, not all the time.
But sometimes he does, and I haven't seen him for a long time.
What's going on?
Are you okay?
Sometimes he will feel that
I can feel that
He cares, um-hmm, he really cares if I'm injured.
if I find something unexpected.
So he cares.
Oh, this, this.
I know, I will ask him,
because I teach a lot of athletes.
I will teach them to pass the recent videos.
For example, let's say we're playing basketball.
recently shot videos
to see if the effect of the last practice is still there.
Yes, I will ask him like this.
I will ask in this way.
Yeah, I won't just ask directly.
Oh, I'll do it.
Yeah, I will.
I'll use another way.
Yeah, if you say that, I will.
I still know it.
Yes.
Because I think it's special.
Let me first introduce what you two do.
Let's start.
I do more now
Because I study human kinesiology.
So I think,
I have quite a lot of research on movement.
So I focus on sports performance.
Yes, I mainly coach
I mostly coach student athletes.
Yeah.
I have coached at some international schools.
their physical fitness.
Yeah, that's what I mainly do today.
Uh-huh.
Okay.
I studied nutrition science at Purdue University.
So my major is nutrition.
But since I went abroad,
I've been exposed to sports.
So I've always liked sports.
After graduation,
I worked at a chain called Better Bodies,
which is mainly engaged in physical therapy.
I was exposed to many
maybe stroke recovery patients.
I would take them through some exercises
and tell them some similar things.
And then I found that
I really like this thing.
Uh, it also helped me get out of a minor depression kind of situation
It was satisfying. It was a different kind of accomplishment.
And then I was more determined to know
I want to do this.
Because of the pandemic, I returned to China.
Then after returning to China,
I worked a little bit,
and understand the domestic situation.
And now I open one in Hongqiao. I think everyone should
everyone should enjoy the venue.
Bellula
we do everything.
as long as it's non-medical,
psychological counseling,
and mental health is very important.
I also provide nutritional counseling.
Including exercise and these.
They have helped me with some sports performance things.
Yes, so it's
a complete one-stop service.
so-called one-stop service.
Yes, there will be.
Where did the name Bellula come from?
It's a variant of a Latin word.
My original intention is, um,
It means beautiful, exquisite, and refined.
I want to use the original meaning of this word, which is
refined
to serve refined and tasteful guests.
Well, actually,
Yes.
we may not have a master-slave relationship,
but we may be on par.
and then we communicate with each other
to achieve a common goal.
kind of thing.
Scene, right?
Do you think now
because your store is different from
different from most of these stores?
Why do you open it like this?
From a business perspective,
Difference
is a selling point.
Secondly, it is a presentation of my own
a presentation of my views.
Mainly, I want everyone to get what I just said,
the services and products that everyone should get.
Uh.
I have seen many problems in China, not just Pure.
Of course I can.
Of course, I can.
Uh, relatively good
and well-recognized places
such as Pure
Z & B Fitness is a high-end place
including ZNB. Although I don't know much about
I don't particularly understand
or
or agree with it, but these places have good things
and some that are not doing well.
So I went to
I visited all the places I could name.
Um.
Then I wanted to solve the problems I thought were problems
and solve them.
Then I gradually became
and it became like this store.
What do you think are the biggest problems?
I think you both want to hear it.
Because in the current industry,
are relatively uniform.
I'm curious what you two think of the current
what problems do most gyms have?
Well, I think the gyms now
how to say, they offer too many things,
are too single.
Every gym wants to offer muscle building, shaping,
lose weight, and even do Pilates and yoga.
and even some can't do rehabilitation.
They still write about rehabilitation,
Every store is like this.
So what do you compare?
maybe it's about the quality of the gym.
and whether it looks good in photos.
So I think now this thing is too
is going in one direction, that is,
Of course, we say fitness is life.
People take photos in the gym.
Maybe.
people may go to a more exquisite gym.
Yes, that's probably the case.
I think that
maybe in the competition within our industry,
is one point.
We can't ignore other things.
your professionalism.
Yeah, I think
many gyms haven't reached this level.
this point.
They may be doing
they are doing things beyond their ability.
Too many gyms are doing this.
So I don't like this.
Yeah, it seems that
I think it can be divided into hardware and software.
In terms of hardware, I personally think
the biggest problem is hygiene.
For example, Weisile.
I have been to several Weisili before.
and every one of them
I would frown and enter the bathroom.
Because there is definitely black sewage on the ground haha
I would like to get on my tippy toes and try to get around.
It's super smelly.
And I personally value privacy.
It's like a public bathhouse,
where everyone is naked in front of you.
just get out of my face, you know.
Don't really.
I can't do that.
Huh, okay.
I mean, I've seen dicks before,
Because I'm on the swimming team.
and you are also a swimmer.
I just think it's natural.
I've already ignored it.
We will surround.
Hahaha.
I'm used to it.
But
Don't you all take public showers when you take a bath?
We also have.
We have a wall
Then five, five, everyone
I've seen those too
I just want to take a quick shower and get out.
We don't.
I'm used to it.
How do you get used to it?
Have you been to those Japanese bathhouses?
But when you go to the bathhouse, it's the same.
It's all public.
everyone is naked.
Oh, still.
But there is no more.
When you're in there,
What do you look like inside?
What do you look like in the water?
You will wrap it up when you get out.
Some people don't wrap it up at all, neither do I.
Some people just
You can't wear that swimsuit in the water.
Yes.
You can't wear a swimsuit in the water, can you?
That's weird, yeah.
I think I've already over this.
I understand a lot of probably older people in Will‘s Gym
or just um
don't have the concept of hygiene.
But you can bring a pair of slippers.
and bring your own towel.
I think it's still acceptable.
But I've been driving Bellula for over a year
I think hygiene is a very good and low-cost thing.
and low-cost thing.
So I actually think
it's not necessarily the guests' problem,
but the problem of the venue.
The smell of smoke and sewage are really different.
Smoke smell is my biggest hate.
many details.
I really don't understand athletes.
And there are many here.
How many? But Thailand also has many
all those who are good at Muay Thai
all smoke.
I just don't understand that you are so
care about your body.
You always eat well.
but you smoke like crazy over there.
But it's a conflict for me.
But there are many people like this.
I think, um, because I smoke too.
I know.
Why do people get addicted to smoking?
It's actually something that can be triggered at a certain time.
OK, for example, you must have one after eating.
It's not that you really enjoy it,
It's just that the timing triggers the addiction.
So there are many.
I think it's exactly the same.
Of course, of course, it's just that
Why talk about smoking?
It's always been triggered by one thing.
and it keeps triggering this thing.
Maybe he is in a low emotional state and triggers this.
Wanting, wanting.
Yes, yes, yes, so it's always been like this.
So for athletes,
I know that athletes are under a lot of pressure.
So they might need to
they may always trigger the thing they want.
Yes.
I can understand.
Yes, it is a psychological thing.
Yes, it is actually a psychological thing.
But this psychology is also the meaning of addiction.
Yes, it is. It is. It is. Yes, it is.
for sure.
Because many of my friends, after climbing,
they would smoke a cigarette and say,
Anyway, friends,
This.
this addiction has become a part of my social module.
We can smoke and chat anyway.
It becomes everything is connected to smoking.
or everything is connected to alcohol.
and then they can't quit.
So for me, this is, um,
I don't smoke or drink.
I haven't drunk since nineteen ninety-six.
that is,
I think it's very harmful to my health.
So I just don't do it anymore.
But here, I think everyone smokes and drinks.
everyone does it.
Actually, I don't drink much either.
because I know
the effect of alcohol on muscle recovery after exercise.
So as long as I exercise,
I definitely won't drink.
Yes.
But especially when I was preparing this store,
I didn't get that huge 1.75-liter one in 4 months.
the huge whiskey.
Yes, it's huge.
It's because of the stress.
Yeah, like our venue is only six hundred square meters,
but I can walk thirty thousand steps.
Inside that low bar,
Just go in circles
Do this, do that, yeah.
I thought I was ready.
No.
There's so much more to it. Hmm, yeah, it's just the stress for.
So you think you need this thing?
But after that time, it's actually okay.
but now I just
when I'm under pressure,
I think it's a quick
to solve your stress.
I don't drink a lot
You drank so big.
How often do you drink it in a month?
Yeah.
The frequency will really increase.
But I don't really like the feeling of being drunk.
I still feel uncomfortable, so it's okay.
Just drink a little.
I just relax and take a shower and go to bed.
and do what I need to do the next day.
There's a lot of research that tells you
your sleep quality is actually worse.
Although everyone says that
I can sleep better after drinking.
No, actually the quality of sleep
is worse. Yeah.
But I
What I need is the part that helps me fall asleep.
Yeah.
It's better to sleep than not.
But I need the part that helps me fall asleep.
Yeah, otherwise I can't sleep.
If I'm depressed, it will be worse.
It will get worse when I come back. I understand.
Well, I have a student now
who has much more severe depression than me.
He drinks himself to pass out every day.
then he sleeps until noon and then exercises with me.
When we run a bar, there are a lot of such people.
There's not much drama.
So opening a bar to serve drinks
and making drinks for everyone is also charity to help them.
You're doing a good thing.
You know.
Then thank you.
I don't really care about it.
I don't mean I don't care about my health,
but I think you must care.
Because you know so many people are here,
You're helping their bodies.
you must care about yourself.
But just like Hao,
I will think that
there are some situations where I need it.
Yeah, I don't want to borrow it for now.
Yeah.
I think this thing
There is one thing I really want to see.
Maybe one day I will try hypnosis.
Use hypnosis to help you quit.
I've heard of that, that's so cool.
Maybe I will go to see it because of this.
Then I'll try it and quit it.
Maybe maybe.
I have a friend who is a hypnotist.
Oh yeah, what kind of hypnosis does he study?
What kind of hypnosis?
I don't know how he learned it.
But he has a certificate for hypnosis.
I really believe in this thing.
I really believe in it.
You're not afraid of me.
I'm a control freak.
I'm really afraid that this person will hypnotize me.
and I don't know
what he does.
I don't know what this person puts
into my mind.
and then
I don't know hypnosis.
It's not that he can't hypnotize you.
He won't control you,
but
he can change your view on this matter.
He can change it a little bit.
He might also change something else.
that I don't know.
Because I'm nice.
I'm nice.
I just dare not.
completely
Yeah.
release control.
So if you are hypnotized,
you should be nervous.
Then you can't be hypnotized.
You need to be very relaxed
and very relaxed people can be hypnotized.
So you probably can't be hypnotized.
Hypnosis is a gradual process of change.
It's about how you view your own sexual orientation.
Will you feel nervous?
You gay?
You mean gay?
I don't think it can change that much charm.
Maybe they are very capable.
Then they will become bisexual.
Yeah, just halfway.
Yeah, just halfway.
I
Why are we talking about this?
I'm suddenly talking about this.
I'm talking about smoking and quitting smoking.
Ha ha ha.
Aren't you afraid that people will take something about me?
just
I believe Cui Yuan, but I
I don't believe that
I don't believe he can do that much.
OK, that's it.
If someone can do this,

he can have very powerful power.
He has great power.
He can do many things.
But I think
no one can do that at present.
He can change my image.
No way.
Do crazy shit.
You're right, I'm really panicked.
I can't accept this thing.
because I just think
I can't give up my control over myself.
So sometimes because
drank alcohol in college,
and I would do crazy things.
I feel
You lost control.
Then I have a little aversion to this thing.
I think I have to control myself.
I know what I want to do.
I know I can control myself now.
Then you drink alcohol,
or whatever you have an addiction to,
it will stop your control.
because it has its own control over you.
So I think I don't want this thing.
So I refuse to do these things.
I can understand.
It can help you relieve stress,
or just nice, why not.
I understand all of this, but
I still think it's a crutch in the end.
It will
it will help you temporarily,
but you will always rely on it.
Just like caffeine.
Caffeine
I also think it's a big crutch.
Many people think that
before working out, I need to drink a cup of coffee
a cup of coffee,
or pre-workout.
The caffeine in it can help me work out.
I think these things are too dependent.
I don't dare to do it.
I have a cool thing.
It can eliminate the trauma in your subconscious.
It sounds cool, right?
But it can be quickly eliminated.
I can also quickly find his trauma.
That's one thing.
After I used it on my athletes,
It works immediately.
It can be eliminated immediately.
Find it and it will be gone immediately.
Oh, I can try it for you later.
It's a cool thing.
Yes.
It's a cool thing.
OK.
This is my method for them.
But if you want to solve mental problems,
This is your life.
and your environment.
In your environment,
how can you keep
If you
if you are a person who lives in your comfort zone,
it's hard for you to have a good mentality.
Yes.
you will be easily frustrated.
Sure.
So in this case,
mental toughness is not so good.
Yes.
If you want to enhance it,
just like you said,
Change the environment.
Keep changing.
If you do something in a comfortable environment,
Keep changing.
your tolerance for error will be very high.
Yes.
I think so.
So it's about life and environment.
to change in it.
That's interesting.
Before the competition,
It's my coat.
method.
I have a coat.
Let me tell you mine.
Ah.
I guess I had a plan before swimming competitions.
a plan.
I did the same stretch.
From six to almost forty years old.
My stretching routine has never changed.
When I was still studying at Putuo School,
I talked with our nutrition professor.
They
Because they also need
to help our football team.
Go Bord love.
Uh.
to play well in the game.
But they would use
They use strike to improve.
We need to introduce change.
We must make changes.
The environment
and the intake of nutrients must also be changed.
to make progress.
Because the body needs to adapt to different things,
there will be new changes.
But on the day of the competition,
especially a few days before the competition.
Don't do anything different.
Because once you change,
you may have different reactions.
and then your performance will be different.
So I think progress requires change,
and stable performance.
Just be the same.
Just like you just said,
the same song,
and the same stretching routine.
I think many athletes are very superstitious.
are superstitious.
They may think that
I wear the same
my lucky socks
and lucky underwear.
I don't know what's the situation.
how this superstition came about.
But I think that
if I wear the same socks,
I will definitely win.
I wore these socks last time.
and the day before yesterday.
I wear these socks.
These socks are so smelly.
Haven't you washed them yet?
I don't understand this kind of superstition at all.
But I often hear that
Are you kind of doing it yourself too
Still.
with the song and everything you know.
It seems a little bit.
Ha ha ha.
But at least I don't not wash my socks.
I won't not wash my underwear.
I just heard that.
It's a bit too exaggerated.
Underwear and socks are a bit too exaggerated.
Let's go back to the current
in the sports environment,
Do you think in Shanghai now,
what will be popular
what will be more profitable?
In this current environment,
in this industry?
Hmm.
I think it's hard to make money in our industry.
I think Pilates is quite profitable.
It's completely different from before.
Bingo.
Class Pass says that the data now shows that
pilates is particularly profitable.
Yes, Pilates is also good.
It's still in the普拉提 store.
I thought it had been taken down.
I heard that it's very profitable now.
I heard that
Because my friend works at Class Pass.
He said that Pilates is very profitable now.
Yes, and Pilates is indeed a good thing.
Really?
Yeah, I never thought.
It's a good thing.
I've tried it too.
Yeah, right.
It's a very good thing for the human body.
Because the logic of the movements
different from usual exercise and using equipment.
It actually makes you realize
it will amplify the parts of your body that are lacking.
For example, for me,
Uh, I've been dumped.
I have more muscle contractions.
After this movement is done, it's over.
maybe less than one second.
An exercise is over.
Um.
Pilates may keep you in one position
and then move slowly while maintaining stability.
Although I use very light weights,
I may not be able to do it a few times.
But I can pull tens of kilograms. Usually
I couldn't even do my own body weight at that time.
Therefore, you will still realize what your body lacks
It's quite interesting.
Can you play it?
I've tried it twice.
I think it's not bad.
Because when I look at myself,
at that time,
because I can observe my gait,
and gait.
Before and after doing it myself,
I think there is a big difference.
Well, in Pilates,
it can quickly change some things.
It's about training the ability of many muscles.
When we talk about abilities,
it may be the ability of eccentric contraction,
contraction ability.
or isometric ability.
Yes, yes, yes, there are many.
many elements are integrated into it.
So I would say it's a good thing.
because it includes many
Yes.
I'm skeptical.
because I see people who practice Pilates
I don't think they have much strength
or very good at it.
you know it doesn't change anything for them.
I don't think they have become better.
So sometimes I see that group of people
there are no particularly amazing people.
I feel that this thing is useless.
Oh, so what we're going to talk about is
because if I say it's a good thing,
it's more about health.
Well, for health,
For health,
Of course, one of the things I just mentioned is gait.
Gait is very important.
how you walk.
like this.
At least you can make a big change
and make a big change.
But you don't use it often.
and you don't go often.
Of course, you should go there often.
You must go there often.
Yes, right.
You must go often.
I think in the long run,
I think Pilates is good.
As for strength,
it may not be that helpful.
Yes.
Well, that's our good.
If it's not good,
I might think it's good for health.
Well, you're right, as you said,
It's not useful, to a certain extent.
I think everyone should look at training
and the effect of training.
Yes, differently.
Yes, you must say that Pilates can give you strength.
it can, because it also has spring load.
But will it help bench press?
maybe not so much.
Because bench press
is to bring the upper arm inward from here to here.
That's right, almost like this.
But it doesn't do a lot of these movements.
You must train this movement.
This movement will become better.
OK.
So actually,
Pilates training
may not be absolute muscle strength,
but it will help you
it may stabilize your joints.
and help you reach your PR.
Yes.
So it's actually still helpful,
but the way it helps is different.
Performance is a full spectrum of different things.
I totally agree.
So you can't just look at, um,
there is a thing called general adaptation.
Yes.
Even if you do something that seems completely unrelated,
but other sports performance will still be
I can agree with that, I understand.
But if you, for example, train muscle strength,
you must directly train muscle strength.
which is more helpful for muscle strength.
But in fact, training endurance
it will also help to improve muscle strength.
but the overlap is lessened.
I can add that
You can think of
every kind of training is a vitamin.
So what does this person need?
he will supplement that.
Maybe this person has trained too much strength,
but his joint mobility may be limited.
Then he needs to supplement another one.
Everyone is different.
So I often ask these coaches,
what should I practice?
because there are too many things to practice now.
I need endurance,
flexibility,
and I need to practice everything.
And they all say
each one is important.
Right, I can practice it.
I can practice hit and long distance.
I also need to practice mobility.
This list is too long,
which makes everyone panic.
I change something,
Everyone says,
Mobility is very important.
Do I need to dedicate a day to practice mobility?
Or, oh, I need more hmm.
So do I need to
Do I need to do more zone two?
Do I need to dedicate a day to practice it?
Now everyone tells you that this is very important.
this is important.
Movement is very important.
Oh, do I need to practice what animal flow takes my movements
Everyone is promoting things now.
And then lead to every consumer I don't know what I'm going to practice
I don't have any plan now.
Because there are too many things to practice.
Yeah, so why coaches are important.
Coaches have good eyesight to observe.
I think this is very difficult.
It takes a long time to practice.
You can immediately see what he wants.
Another point is that gyms now emphasize system.
Do we really need a systematic approach?
Or do you rely on the person who walks in
and see how he walks,
I can tell what he wants.
Can you do this or not?
or just maintain your system to serve him.
This will be very important.
I think too many gyms emphasize systems,
and science.
I think that
they are not actually doing this.
They are not serving their customers well.
and not serving their customers well.
This is actually a problem in this industry.
not only in China,
many.
the gyms in this industry
all have this problem.
Yes, as I just mentioned,
it's a software problem.
whether the coach is professional enough.
The second is whether the coach is dedicated to serving a certain person
Because there are formulas,
but the formula is suitable for the public, not for individuals.
But the individual who exercises is an individual.
You have to do something about this individual to get it right.
For example, when I go to exercise,
I don't need a coach to teach me how to build muscles.
I already know how to do it.
and I can do it well.
What I need may be more like Pilates,
which is to make my core better
and make my joints more comfortable.
better movements.
Still need a so-called customized
The coach is here to tell you what's wrong
what you need.
He needs to see what you need.
Yes, and then he will give you those things.
and then guide the person to
to achieve the goal he wants.
Instead of blindly
let him do what the coach wants him to do.
There is a balance.
Uh-huh, yeah.
Because everyone's aesthetic is different.
As a consumer,
I have already searched a lot online.
I just did a quick Google search or used AI
and say
what I should do.
Then he comes and says I've checked
I want this.
And then you as a coach say this doesn't seem right.
This conflict is difficult to balance
I have a very funny story.
I have a friend who teaches kettlebells
hard style kettlebells
Then a client came in.
He taught the person that his breathing was wrong.
He spent half an hour
and taught him how to breathe.
Then the person immediately told the gym
I came to learn from Fox.
I'm not here to learn breathing.
Of course.
Of course, I can understand both sides.
Right?
He is here to exercise,
He's here to sweat.
You taught him how to breathe.
But breathing is indeed important.
If you breathe wrong every time,
you will reach a ceiling one day.
you will not be able to break through this ceiling.
You need to go back to zero.
Change this breathing.
and then continue.
It's tiring.
But the coach is not wrong.
and the consumer is not wrong.
How to balance this?
How to balance?
I think the first point is
I think when I teach breathing,
I don't need to do it for half an hour.
It should only be five minutes.
and it will end in ten minutes.
After all, he paid for it.
It's true that we exercise when we exercise
My opinion is that fitness trainers are a service industry.
Yes.
If you spend an hour,
you can't breathe for half an hour.
I breathe for about five to ten minutes.
And five to ten minutes of breathing
and you can see the effect immediately.
Yes.
Maybe he has shoulder or hip problems.
and hip joints may also have problems,
you can solve it with breathing.
Yes, that's my point.
If you want to balance,
even if you don't solve the problem today,
you still want to take a breath.
you can't do it too long.
Just like warming up, it can't be too long, I understand.
This is definitely not allowed.
If you want to balance,
I think it should be like five minutes.
or ten minutes at most.
But you still need to practice what you should practice.
Because they come to work out.
Yeah.
So I think coaches themselves should know this.
I think this is what the industry needs to face.
The other problem is the market.
They say they want it, but what they really want is not it.
I think so too.
A quick fix.
This is what they want most.
They just want to exercise for one day
and see their chest muscles grow bigger the next day.
Yes.
I have six-pack abs.
But everyone knows it's impossible.
But in fact, this is what they want.
So what I just said is good.
Just a shorter time
and let them see the effect immediately.
and then end it.
and let them see that this thing is useful.
Then they can do what they want.
Then come back the next day and continue.
Both parties can achieve their goals.
But the communication is harmonious.
because there is no conflict as you mentioned.
or a confrontation with the opposite side.
I don't know how long you usually let your clients warm up.
How long?
I'll warm up for a long time.
How long do you warm up?
I warm up for quite a long time.
But my warm-up is quite tiring.
So they don't feel like they're warming up.
OK.
But yeah.
It should be twenty-five minutes.
Well, even more than I do now.
Because of my age,
OK.
My warm-up is almost half an hour.
Actually, my main set seems to be shorter than my warm-up.
The workout is actually much shorter than the warm-up.
Hmm.
But my warm-up is very tiring.
So I have to ask myself
this is not accurate.
But I think I take a lot of classes.
Now many people dislike warming up.
They say they come to learn skills.
I'm not here to warm up.
I can just
I'm not here to learn CrossFit.
I'm not here to warm up.
I'm here to learn skills.
such as rock climbing skills,
such as jiu-jitsu skills,
boxing skills.
I'm here to learn skills.
Why do you want me to warm up?
Warming up is to protect you.
I think warming up is to protect you.
But they say martial arts is about learning skills.
And then they
Look at them.
they never warm up.
which leads to a lot of people getting injured.
But
I think the market is a big problem.
Now, in the market, everyone wants to be fast
and learn skills.
and there's no time to do basic skills.
That's a huge problem.
But this will never change.
This will never change.
So how can you change this?
Is there no way?
Arrive early, ha ha ha.
Ask them to arrive earlier.
We will suggest
Just arrive early.
Generally speaking,
a
a general warm-up before an exercise session.
to warm up,
and run.
to bring up the blood flow
and raise body temperature.
and then a specific warm-up,
specific warm-up.
Today we're going to practice squats, okay.
to train your legs.
Yes, just to warm up the dynamic movement.
Yes.
which is for the lower limbs.
This is a recommended system.
It's a traditional process.
But everyone doesn't want to do this.
It's boring.
You just said it's time-consuming, tiring, and boring.
Everyone is reluctant to do it.
But at this time, it is necessary to teach.
If he has enough knowledge,
he can find a good way to replace them.
the two things I just mentioned.
he can save them.
General warm-up is not specific warm-up.
or body temperature or something like that.
Of course.
For example,
For example, when I train my students on legs,
there may be a squat.
I won't warm them up.
I will directly let him do it.
Maybe hip abduction,
then do adduction,
and some core stability exercises.
It seems that they are doing other exercises,
but they are actually warming up.
It can also effectively prevent injuries.
Because he has warmed up the muscles and joints around the knee,
have been warmed up.
Yeah.
It can already achieve what we want.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
If you only focus on warming up the muscles around the knee,
you may not be able to warm them up.
because other joints are still cold.
and more likely to get injured.
Yeah.
It depends on the coach.
This is a big problem, because
Many coaches don't have the knowledge.
They can't do it.
I understand that it's not the coach's problem.
I think it's the environment.
They need to change their own views.
I'll give you an example from the past.
My first Jiu-Jitsu instructor was named Shi Yujing
The class used to be two to two and a half hours.
The first hour
The first hour
was basically just a warm-up.
Some people would vomit directly
and left without participating in the class.
This warm up doesn't touch jiu-jitsu at all
It's all about physical fitness.
It's basically an hour of physical training.
Then, okay, let's start practicing techniques now.
Then everyone said,
This class isn't over yet.
Then start doing jiu-jitsu
teach for a while, and then practice.
and say I'm exhausted.
We just started sparring now.
All customers go
Basically, all those who don't like jiu-jitsu left.
Those who love jiu-jitsu all stayed.
all the people who don't love jiu-jitsu left.
I loved it. How many are left?
Uh.
Three or four.
Wow, wow, yeah.
But these three or four
They love it, we understand it's useful.
When you go to the competition,
your physical fitness must be better than others.
it must be better than others.
But no one wants to learn this.
no one wants to do this.
Then there are only a few of you left.
and the class is closed.
Then they think you will change later.
because they think they can't hold on.
Even though he thinks it's right,
The students he trained were indeed very good.
Although he thinks it's right,
no one is willing to.
The market can't support it.
and the market thinks it's wrong.
I'm not here to practice CrossFit.
I'm not here to warm up.
I'm here to practice jiu-jitsu.
I must practice the jiu-jitsu I have learned.
Then they think
They think it's useless and hate it.
Well, I think so.
Yes.
You can do some screening.
His behavior just now is actually a screening.
He chose those who want to enjoy it,
those who really love
and really want to specialize in his expertise.
But this is stupid for business.
is stupid.
Uh-huh.
He kicks out many people who can make money.
Uh.
The market is always like this.
People don't think about professionalism.
but they want
something that makes them happy at the moment.
Just make them happy.
You can make money and give some people
Many of my students have different purposes.
different purposes.
Some are for skiing,
to perform better.
Some are for pure beauty,
some want to build muscles, and some want to keep fit.
They don't want to progress.
And limited.
and want to improve.
As a person who provides a certain service,
and want to profit from it,
you need to meet their needs.
Yes, I can screen.
but not everyone has that privilege.
I think I can screen,
I think I quite like to use
We usually play Texas poker.
I think it's a good LG.
Yes.
You can invite a bunch of people to play cards at the table.
but everyone plays differently.
You can't control how they play.
Yes, you might want to bluff
to scare everyone away
and win the pot money.
But some people will call.
Yeah, you can't change them.
Ah, okay.
Here are two ways you can do this.
You can either educate them or select who plays.
You can improve your addiction.
There will be fewer people with poor skills.
Because they have the ability
to play this game,
they at least have a clear mind.
They may be more likely to follow
normal logic
and gaming logic.
But some people are rich,
he is the boss.
Yeah, they still will follow.
Of course.
So sometimes there is no way.
Well, what can you do?
You can only
Okay, this guy calls all the time, only don't bluff.
You know.
Let him think of how much
Just play it yourself, yeah.
There's nothing you can do.
Would you be angry?
This kind of person will get angry.
Definitely.
Will you be angry?
No, I'll blame myself.
Yes.
I'll reflect and reevaluate how I play.
Yes, so it's still my fault.
and I shouldn't blame anyone.
I think you can only
blame yourself.
Just adapt.
It's your own problem.
Because you didn't judge that he would follow.
That's your own problem.
not his problem.
Yes, that's right.
Yeah, so now I just
try to keep a very peaceful state of mind.
OK, I made a mistake here.
It's definitely not the other person's problem if I don't play well.
Because it's his freedom to play as he wants.
Well, it's like consumption.
It's his freedom to consume and obtain what he wants.
If he thinks he deserves something,
you should try to satisfy him.
so that everyone can be happy.
I think this mentality is right.
Playing cards depends on your mentality.
The mentality is super important.
If you lose, you're doomed.
Yes, you will definitely lose.
Yes.
So I think I'm just lucky.
I just chose a slightly higher positioning.
Because my clients are more successful and cultured
So they are more professional
they have a higher acceptance.
They are more willing to trust us.
Yes, it's really effortless.
It will be much better to lift it up.
Yes.
We hardly need to sell.
They just need to see the effect.
You lift up to your degree.
Yeah.
That's it, let's do it.
This is really comfortable.
Well, like Will‘s Gym.
Sister, you're here.
Give me a glass of water and let's talk about the five-year card.
Yeah.
But I think soft skills of coaches are also important.
Important.
how to talk about marketing
But the way of Will‘s Gym
I would feel very uncomfortable.
Yes, their method is purely sales.
No one likes sales.
Pure sales.
Everyone likes service.
Yeah.
I think this is a skill.
But I also have that feeling.
If they sell like this,
I would feel that
I feel uncomfortable.
I feel uncomfortable.
I would think he is trying to deceive me.
I always have this vigilance.
I would be more vigilant, yes.
The last time I went to Wils,
I didn't feel much pressure to buy.
Oh, yes.
I went there once three years ago.
and they just
they took my class pass
I went in and then left.
I felt quite comfortable.
So I felt it wasn't that bad.

Three years ago, the industry was still okay.
because the epidemic hadn't happened yet.
After the pandemic, it was really bad.
The capital chain hadn't broken down yet, ha ha ha.
Hello.
Ha ha ha.
Yeah, you two are now in Blue.
Why do you think this model has this group of customers?
Why do you choose this?
I don't know why you choose this.
instead of um
the more popular
Is there any other reason?
Um.
Well, I was still in
when I was in college,
I went to Koda.
I want to do kinesiology.
Yeah, you know.
But
I found that they have many public health courses.
I found that I don't like to be in contact with the public,
because they are mostly undereducated.
Well, then unmotivated
Especially the lack of motivation.
which I can't accept.
I just want to work with people
who are motivated like me.
They have a clear goal
and are motivated to complete it.
and they will complete the plan we made.
I like such people.
It's comfortable for everyone,
and the effect is good.
Yeah.
On the contrary,
If it doesn't work,
and it will actually hurt your own IP.
I chose a more win-win route.
But do you think the money threshold is right?
Yes, it's effective.
Yes.
But it can't be completely eliminated.
It's obvious that
everyone's quality
and cultural level have improved.
And then,
the acceptance of our services
is also higher.
There is no such thing.
At least they have received good service,
and been to good places,
and seen more
different things.
They at least have a different perception of service.
The public thinks that service,
especially in China,
think service is cheap or even deserved.
Hmm.
But is it?
it should be expensive.
I would spend money
certain amount of money.
just to eat social food.
Well, not really, but you get what I mean, okay.
at least the experience is better.
but I would never go there again.
I won't go to a place where the food is delicious but the service is bad.
Oh, I would.
I totally disagree with you.
Ha ha ha, I think this
the food is the most important.
I can have bad service,
But I think the food
are completely different from yours.
Yes.
We are completely different.
It's a potential customer.
potential customer.
Ha ha ha.
Yes, the product itself is really important.
But I think the service is good.
it depends on the current environment and experience.
I should say that

Because I consume to make myself happy.
If the service makes me unhappy,
I won't come again even if it's delicious.
I can understand this idea.
How about you?
I'm actually very tolerant.
I should say
I'm very tolerant of food and service.
So I rarely eat things I don't like.
And rarely do I get upset by something outside.
What's wrong?
So I'm not very sensitive to this matter.
Oh.
Yeah.
What about fitness?
if you take a class,
and you feel that the person has a bad attitude,
but the things he teaches are really useful,
or he has a very good attitude,
and you feel that the class is just so-so.
I think attitude, I have practiced boxing before.
and
I think he has many students.
He has many students and his business is good.
but I don't think he is very serious.
So this will make many people like this.
This makes me feel that although I will definitely
I must have made progress.
I also made a lot of progress when he taught me.
But I always feel that
I would always think about it.
I always wonder if he has a better coach.
and spend the same money,
find a better one.
If you have such a coach,
you must be good at a certain level,
or you find a similar cost-effective one
to replace the coach.
You will leave immediately.
You won't stay there forever.
I agree.
I have a cleanliness about coaches.
I don't like.
I don't like coaches who are too proud.
They think they have been teaching this thing all the way,
all the time,
and even his students have all been successful.
And he still uses the same set of things.
using one thing
I don't like this.
Because even I have been
I've been learning continuously.
Yes, you just need to keep improving.
and keep increasing.
Then we can go back to the topic of warming up for a long time.
long warm-up.
If you had ten minutes today
to give you a good and complete warm-up.
Maybe you can rub your skin.
and your muscles will be stronger.
Well, if I say this thing,
would the coach be willing to learn it?
Yes, whether they want to improve themselves
and whether they are willing to change
to change the course mode.
Instead of blaming the customer for not understanding.
You don't understand.
I don't know if I would do it
But I think you should always improve yourself
and update your curriculum.
Yes.
This is the solution.
I agree.
Yes, so I don't.
I don't like complaining.
I just update.
and keep updating.
Where there is a problem,
if customers think something is not good,
I will find a solution.
to see if there's anything I can learn.
Now the internet is also very developed.
YouTube to see if there is a better solution to satisfy existing customers
So I have this cleanliness about coaches.
Yes.
Are you keeping yourself updated?
and keep yourself alert.
I agree, I think most of them don't.
True?
I was at the pool last month
Last month, I was at the swimming pool.
I was swimming by myself.
Then I went out to stretch.
Then I met one or two coaches teaching butterfly stroke.
teaching a group of children.
Then I thought
What should they be?
It was an old-fashioned butterfly stroke from the eighties.
Then I heard
this is wrong.
How long haven't you updated your course?
Then I heard this,
And I saw those students
all did it the way he did.
they will definitely reach a ceiling.
And these students must be
Why can't I swim fast?
But this coach has not updated it.
He may have learned it from his coach.
and he continues to teach in this way.
and never learned from outside.
to learn from others.
And that's a problem.
I think it's a big problem.
Even now, some people think that
Oh, you know, my teacher taught me like this.
and his teacher did the same.
So I teach like this.
But there are updates.
The world is changing.
I don't think there's a problem with it.
The real problem is when you tell him,
and they will be angry.
Yes.
The real problem is that
Yes, he may just not know there are other methods.
he will keep teaching.
He just doesn't know.
But if he has a strong sense of self-esteem,
and a strong sense of self-esteem,
such people have problems.
Some people really don't know other methods.
I only know this method.
If he keeps teaching, that's fine.
It's your way of teaching.
But if you go and talk to him,
but I won't do that,
Because I know it will cause problems. Yeah, right.
I didn't tell him that I really want to.
Yes, I do.
I really want to, I really want to.
You're wrong.
But if you go to talk, there will definitely be a quarrel.
Most people will quarrel.
They think you're embarrassing them or something.
They are very face-saving.
Yes, this is the kind of thing.
The real problem is this.
So this kind of thing will prevent him from making progress.
and prevent the coach from updating his course.
Because they think they are right.
He may have taught an athlete who did well
He thinks this is wow.
Of course.
Yes, the best kind.
The willingness and ability to learn are difficult.
Yeah, this thing is easy.
It's easy to stop you from doing it.
It's actually very simple.
But I found that when we are recruiting,
the worse the candidates are, the more they will do so.
The less willing or conscious they are to continue learning.
They think they are very good,
but they haven't even read an anatomy book.
How can you be good?
They haven't even read the basic anatomy book.
They think they have this certificate and that certificate.
They can't explain the function of a certain muscle.
Are certificates useful?
Oh, he can't say whether it's useful or not.
But it's a threshold.
It's a ticket to enter.
It's the entry ticket for your industry.
You must think like this.
You can't say that just because you have this certificate,
even if it's hard to get,
Well, it's useless.
I think you should see if a coach is good or not.
Try to see what he has experienced,
what players he has coached,
Or what kind of courses he has taken.
That's also right.
Uh, for the course,
it's not formal.
there is no exam.
As for this course,
because I can
I can see.
because I have taken many courses.
I can probably know what the course is about.
It has a difficulty level for him.
Whether you can learn this thing
and learn it well, then the whole teaching concept
will follow the course.
Yes.
Whether this course is a good course
can be checked.
Yes, the course is different.
certificate
is just an entrance ticket.
It's a ticket to do this thing.
The content of his teaching
is to see what courses he teaches.
Yes, that's right.
It's divided like this.
Let's take
CSCS is a personal training certificate
and relatively authoritative.
Let's take this as an example.
The textbook of this certificate
After reading it, I found two prominent flaws.
The first one is that it is old,
He's not keeping up with the times very much.
And then the second is that he didn't teach you
how to truly apply the knowledge it contains.
It gives you some data
and literature.
and citations.
No.
If your learning ability is poor,
So many coaches, although
pass the exam,
but they may just pass the exam.
They don't know how to apply it.
They don't know how to apply this knowledge.
Then everyone looks at a report
the information they get is actually different.
Of course, how you look at the report
Some reports are actually poorly done.
But if you only look at the abstract,
Because you didn't read his method.
you don't know whether the time is accurate.
or
the basis,
or practicality.
Well, maybe it's just a correlation, its not causation
Yes.
I understand.
So it's useful.
it's a stepping stone for your career,
but when you apply it to a person,
it may be useless.
Because you don't really understand
learn the meaning of the textbook.
Uh-huh.
You said I was CSCS.
I think ACE is similar.
They are either very basic,
Or it doesn't teach you to actually apply the above skills
Because CSCS he is that certificate
I have that certificate.
That certificate is for athletes.
Yes.

If you want to coach athletes, you need to take this exam.
But in it,
Because our current exposure is relatively
There aren't so many professional athletes.
So it's not very useful.
It has a cycle.
in the textbook,
it teaches a cyclical schedule.
What you do in these four months
what you do in this season.
in the season,
Few people can cooperate.
Basically, no one can cooperate with this.
So it's not very practical.
Besides,
Hao Gang did mention a popular point,
It's too old.
It's really old.
That thing is really too old.
So,
Well, I think you still
If you want to train athletes,
you still need to get this certification.
Definitely.
But whether you want to use it is another question.
can you find out the problems of this textbook?
Yes.
My last topic is
Because we are running out of time, I think
let me give you an example.
Now many hiking trails have a level, okay.
They have some levels.
I don't want sports or outdoor activities
these things have a threshold.
I hope everyone can participate.
I hope everyone can experience this joy.
But this time,
we went to a relatively simple line.
which was harder than I thought.
Then I found many old aunts
or little children.
and children.
They need to use a rope to descend.
It's hard to go down.
They need to go slowly.
They need to go slowly, and basically every descent was congested.
every descent was congested.
At that time,
I thought there should be a threshold.
These people shouldn't come in.
shouldn't come to this line.
But I don't know where the balance is.
Because yes.
I hope these people can experience the joy of hiking
or the joy of coming to my judo class.
But I don't want too many people to come.
and set a little threshold for these people,
so that we can integrate
and gradually integrate them into the group.
and then
let them gradually get involved.
without affecting my experience.
Because my experience is also very important.
I just don't know where to set the threshold.
Some people say money is a threshold.
or you must have so many abilities.
I'll give you a test first.
And then, if you pass this test,
you can take this class.
This threshold,
I don't know where to set this threshold.
It's also hard to balance.
Because everyone is different, right?
Have you ever thought about this topic?
whether it's going to the gym or some experiences,
Have you ever thought about
I feel a little different.
In my industry, it's all about working out.
I feel like money is enough.
But for something like hiking,
may have some dangers.
The gym also has many dangerous things.
But for me,
Because when we select materials,
we try to avoid some of these.
Yes, there are.
I see many people
They can't even squat, yes.
their knees are inward, whatever it's called.
There are many.
can't even squat.
can't do push-ups,
and then they say they want to hire a personal trainer.
You can do a few push-ups first.
and squats.
Let's start with the basics.
Then you come.
Well, I think I can start with the coach.
Well, you don't have to do it yourself.
but it may not be so effective.
and more likely to get injured, I think.
It's a very commercial answer.
but I like it.
Ha ha ha.
Maybe in America, there are those barrels.
Yes.
which have immediate and obvious
sports that have greater hazards.
should be required.
They need to show their power.
Yes, it tells you not to point guns at people.
Yes.
You must do these things before you can play this sport.
to play this sport.
Yes.
But exercising
you don't necessarily get injured immediately.
It's hard to do.
People don't want to spend time on it.
It's hard, ah ha ha.
Because it's opposed to money.
If you set the threshold,
the money you earn will definitely be less.
Sometimes I see in this industry that
can't even climb stairs well,
but they already have weights on the barbell.
I said, you sure maybe.
maybe they don't need to use the barbell at all.
Think about it.
Yeah.
I still think safety and effectiveness are one aspect.
On the other hand, it saves time.
Well, I think
any sport,
especially after I started skiing,
I think
coaches are an important role in any sport.
It really saves time.
and it can prevent many unnecessary detours.
Whether it's injury or
or the speed of progress.
Yes.
Well, there are many.
They think the threshold for exercise is low,
Just go for a run.
They don't use machines, just running.
Their steps are not correct,
or they are physically limited,
which leads to the wrong way of exercising.
Then,
get injured and then stop coming.
and then affect the effect.
In fact, you might as well hire a coach from the beginning.
Of course, it's lucky to meet a good coach.
Yeah, but ah,
I think it's hard to continue in this environment.
Because if you meet a bad coach,
you just quit.
you just quit, thinking that this thing is not good.
the coach is not good,
all coaches are bad.
and then you just quit.
So word-of-mouth is very important now.
When I design the class,
I try to solve these problems on my end.
At least to ensure that our coaches are capable
and qualified.
And then try to choose equipment that
more comfortable and of better quality,
and less likely to get injured.
During the service process,
we also try to remind our students that
maybe doing this may not achieve your goal.
Then we will assist them a little bit,
and give some pointers.
and then leave.
Okay, uh.
Let me tell you again,
Where is Blue?
Then, um,
Hope to see everyone there.
Yeah, uh.
We are at the basement of Hongqiao Vanke Center.
on the second basement floor.
It's a bit hard to find,
but it's definitely unique.
It's a very unique place.
It's perfect, I think the equipment and bathrooms inside are amazing.
Amazing.
Okay, everyone.
I hope to see you there.
Thank you two guests for coming.
Thank you, okay, bye.
