In this episode of The Briefcase, Paul Chadwick, Video Production Specialist at Sutherland Weston, follows up on a previous episode titled “Unforgettable” about the importance of standing out in business. Paul takes this idea further by discussing how video, specifically how you shoot video, can make your business not just seen, but remembered. Whether you’re selling tires or cakes, the goal is to highlight what makes your company different in a visual way that captures attention. With a phone camera and a willingness to think visually, you can craft video content that educates, entertains, and stands out from the competition.

YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO:

– Use Video To Differentiate Your Business

– Harness the Power of Unique Angles and Perspectives

– Engage Audiences with Behind-the-Scenes Content

to stay engaged longer and interact more with
the videos that you are producing.
This is The Briefcase from Sutherland Weston Marketing
Communications.

(00:21):
Quick conversations from everyday observations delivering practical marketing
ideas you can carry with you.
I'm Paul Chadwick, Video Production Specialist at Sutherland
Weston.
The Boss was on with a Briefcase edition
called Unforgettable and talked about the importance of
making your business stand out from the competition.

(00:42):
She didn't necessarily say how, you tell us
that video is a way to get it
done.
Absolutely.
Your business is different than everybody else's.
Even though you may sell the same product
or service, the way you do things is
different.
Your company culture is different.
So one way to stand out from the
competition using video production is to push out

(01:05):
of the box content.
People love seeing aerials because we can't fly.
You know, our eyes aren't microscopic.
So showing those extreme close-ups wow us
visually.
So what is it that you can do
within your company to show something that the
average Joe doesn't know?

(01:26):
You know, what makes your cake special than
any other cake?
You know, what makes your tire company the
best?
Well, you should show what makes you stand
out from the competition.
Okay, let me challenge you.
I have a phone.
I'm ready to shoot a video for my
social media page.
I sell tires.
What am I supposed to do?

(01:46):
Well, your average driver never has a car
up on a lift.
Take them where it's important for them to
see what you're talking about when you say,
hey, your tires wear here and there.
Why ball bearings are important and where they
are.
Those little things that you try to explain
to your average driver, you see that just
wash over them and they're like, oh, sure.

(02:08):
Yeah, I'll try not to do that next
time.
So use my camera to show them what
they don't normally see.
Unique angles and perspectives will drive the viewer
to stay engaged longer and interact more with
the videos that you are producing.
So take your phone, find those unique angles,

(02:30):
find those unknown views that Joe Lunchbucket has
no clue and help explain to them.
This is why we do what we do.
This is how we do what we do.
And this is why you should see us.
