(00:23):
episode of The Business Vault.
We'll
Happy new year, you incredible human.
I firstly would like to start offby saying congratulations that
you have survived 2024 and we'rebreezing into the first week of 2025.
And I tell you what, I'm actuallyfeeling all of the feelings this week.
I have been ready andraring to go since Monday.

(00:46):
I had my Christmas done and dusted.
I'll be completely honest.
I took the first week of Decemberoff right through to the end.
Not off entirely.
I was still doing my business and I wasstill doing lots of bits and pieces.
Things came up.
I had meetings to do, but I actually had
a mental thing come up and thatmakes me sound crazy, but, it
was like a bit of a thing.
It was an, uh, an issue that cameup that showed me that I probably

(01:10):
really needed to pay attention to it.
So I did that.
I went and paid attention to thething that I needed to take care of.
And I really just took some timeto unwind a little bit because
2024 was a really big year for me.
Personally in my business, in my familylife, everything was, I think it was
probably, you know, one of my biggestyears to date where it was very full on.

(01:34):
Um, but I felt like I reallywasn't achieving quick enough.
It was a funny kind of year, but I'mso excited because when I actually did
my reflections, it was interesting.
And I did my goal setting inSeptember 23 for the year ahead.
And Holy Dooley, let me tell youthat my ambitions for 2024 Was

(01:56):
astronomical and fairly audacious.
So when I looked back at them and thestart of the week, I was like, Oh, I
actually probably didn't really hittoo many of those goals that I had.
And it actually made me spark a thought.
So when I looked at my goals, Iwas like, well, what I wanted to
achieve in 2024 that wasn't a 12month achievable set of goals.

(02:18):
I think I ticked a few of them off.
And
when I sat back to do myreview, I thought I actually
had a lot more setbacks.
My setbacks were able tocome to me really quickly.
And I actually want to tell youabout a YouTuber who I love.
His name is Struthless.
I will put his link inthe show notes for you.

(02:40):
But he did a phenomenal wayon how to review your 2024.
He provided a template, and it wasa really creative way to reflect
on your year that was in the past.
And, you know, he does outof the box ideas that it
gets you putting in pictures.
It gets you just a little bit more excitedabout what the year was, and it gets you

(03:01):
reflecting on what didn't go so well.
But, also.
It's not like a kick in the ass to say, look, you didn't achieve these things.
Like you suck.
It was really about, okay, well, like, where did things not really go to plan?
And how can we just reflect onthem and move them into the future?
In one of his questions, it waslike a series of setbacks that

(03:23):
weren't in my vision and I couldlist off my setbacks so quickly.
I was actually starting topanic a little bit and I was
like, Oh, can I actually even.
write down my highlights for the yearbecause I was internally freaking
out and I was like, Oh, I actuallydon't know what my highlights were.
And it wasn't until I startedto write the setbacks.
So it's like, actually I'll write down thesetbacks first and maybe I'll be able to

(03:47):
start the spark for The highlights reel.
But when I then started to write downone thing in a highlight , you know, and
it was just like, it was minimal things.
It was like, actually had amazingtime with friends and my family.
We went and did really amazing things.
And I was like, that was my firsthighlight because I was thinking

(04:07):
in my head, actually, what did Iachieve in my success in my business?
But when I went through the whole lot, honestly, I ran out of room with how
many things that were a highlight of mine.
So if you are wanting to finda really good reflection for
2024, 100 percent jump intoStruthless's, YouTube channel.
He's phenomenal.

(04:28):
He's so, so good.
He is creative.
He is fun.
And I watch all of his videosbecause just the way he explains
things and brings humor into it.
That is right up my jam.
Like this one, he brings alittle toy xylophone into it.
And I think it's just the best.
And it helps too that he's createda template and it's a fun template.
It's got colors in it and youget to incorporate pictures.

(04:49):
So when I was going back through my,series of things that I wanted to
achieve and I was kicking myself causeI really didn't hit many of those marks.
But one of the biggest marksthat I had was to write the
business essentials course.
And honestly, my dreams to havethat achieved within a couple of

(05:10):
weeks was completely unrealistic.
it's the length of basically a noveland I did not equate to the time
that I needed to put into that.
But I did that, that wasmy massive success in 2024.
And I started the podcast in 2024.
The Business Vault really hasskyrocketed into something that it's
gone well beyond my dreams anyway.

(05:31):
So, which I'm internally grateful for, butwhen I was looking at it, you know, we do
the new year's resolutions type of thing.
Like I'm going to eat better.
I'm going to do this.
I'm going to set these goals andI'm going to achieve these goals.
And we limit ourselves tothese timeframes of we've got
12 months and then that's it.
And it got me thinking because.
Everyone at the moment is doing allof their videos on how to set yourself

(05:53):
up for success for 2025 and how toreflect on 2024, which don't get
me wrong is brilliant, but that'sjust what we're programmed to do.
We're not really programmed to thinkoutside of that 12 month schedule, which
there's nothing wrong with that at all.
I think it's just, we have, that's just how we're programmed.
So I went through and I was like, actually, you know what, we really need

(06:14):
to be looking at it as a whole new era.
Now that's what I'm focusing
this podcast on today is howwe can set ourselves up for a
better future in its entirety.
Not just looking at it downthe 12 month barrel of a gun.
It is that actually, you knowwhat, right now we're going to
set you up for a whole new you.

(06:36):
We're going to really definewhere you want to be, what you
want to be doing with your life.
I want this era to be whether you want tostart your own business or whether you'd
like to start a family or, you'd liketo go build an in Uganda, no matter what
your next set of goals are, we're goingto turn them into a whole thing for you.

(06:58):
So when you go through yourreflections, it's kind of like,
well, the past was only yesterday.
Right?
So, and we all carry stuff from our past.
We've always got storiesthat we're telling ourselves.
Some of us are really scared to comeinto the future because we've got so
many attachments to things that havehappened in the past, and I want you
to have a look at how your life hasbeen, not just in the last 12 months.

(07:23):
I really want you to lookat the last three years.
Three years is a reallygood chapter of your life.
And sometimes it can be an overlap ofa good chapter and then a bad chapter
or a bad chapter and then a goodchapter, they can definitely overlap,
But when you're looking at a three yearreflection, it's a little bit easier
to have a look at the lessons and thehighlights than what it is trying to cram

(07:46):
it all into such short time of 12 months.
So what I've done is I've gone aheadand I've created something for you.
I've actually created a whole playbook. It is a little gift, from me to you.
It is in the show notesthat you can download.
It is a reflection, it pulls thingsfrom the past to be like, okay, what

(08:07):
do we actually need to tackle to getinto the next stage of the future?
Because we've got so many things that wehave been either procrastinating on or
things that we've had on our to do list.
They majorly high priority orthey have been a priority and
we just haven't had time for it.
There's all of these thingsthat we need to tackle.

(08:27):
So, like for me, I'veneeded to transfer our boat.
We got a new boat a couple of months ago.
I still hadn't organized thenew lot of insurance for it.
I had to dispose of one of my carsbecause I sold one and I had all of these
things that were on my to do list thatI was just like, I just, I'll get to it.
I don't, it's not important, youknow, applying for my divorce.

(08:50):
That's one of the things that's beenon high priority of my to do list,
but , I've been so focused on thebusiness that I just haven't really
kind of, Wanted to look at that eventhough I'm really excited to do that and
oh my gosh, I started the applicationprocess over Christmas and I was really
excited and can't wait to finish it.
I'm just.
I'm so excited to get that part of my eradone so then I can move into my next era.

(09:13):
So in this playbook that I've createdfor you, we cover all of the things
that have been setbacks for you, challenges that you're carrying onto,
things that have been weighing youdown and how we can overcome them.
So there's really good action stepsin there to be like, okay, in the next
two weeks, we're going to get rid ofall of those little procrastination

(09:34):
tasks that you've been putting off.
And then we're going to organizeyour self care days because
they're really important.
So on Monday I went and took myself away.
I went to my favorite spot in thewhole world, which is Nelson Bay.
And I went up there.
I took my brand new diary.
I sat down and planned.
I wrote down goals.
I wrote down, what my weaknessesare, what my strengths are, how I can

(09:58):
outsource what I need to outsource.
and just be like, well, we needto look at things a little bit
clearer and more bite sized chunks.
Because what I learned lastyear is I spread myself way too
thin I had so much on my plate
and it was funny because I wasreading like a diary entry, journal
entry that I put in a couple of yearsago and it was just like, there is

(10:21):
so much on my plate and everyoneknows I don't eat all my food.
So how am I meant to geteverything off my plate?
it's not a strength ofmine to do so many things.
Like I'm always got something on the go.
And I was just like, Paige, youjust really need to cut it back.
You, want to do all of thesethings, but let's be realistic.

(10:42):
There's not enough time in the day.
There's not enough personal space thatyou get to do these kinds of things.
You know, when you're running a family,you're running a house, you're running
other businesses or you're running otherjobs, like there is literally, there
is just not enough time in the day.
And I think we all need to be alittle bit kinder on ourselves
with that, and I'm the biggestadvocate for being kind on yourself.
And I've like really taking stockthis year to be like, right.

(11:05):
Yeah.
We are pulling it right back becauseI've got my little girl, she goes
to kindergarten this year and I'mlooking at my schedule of where I
could normally have a full day of.
Getting things done.
I'm looking at this window tobe like, okay, well she's going
to be at school by this time.
I'm going to get home at this time.
I'm then going to leave atthis time to go pick her up.
And then I'm going to be home again.

(11:25):
Then she's going to want snacks andshe's going to want to be occupied.
So now my ordinarily 10 hour day or12 hour day, now it's like looking
at a four hour window of proper work.
And to be honest, that, that's And Iwas just like, I don't know if I'm
going to be able to get everythingdone, but I've just had to reframe
it and be like, actually probably agood thing because we need to make

(11:48):
it a little bit more realistic.
But as we go into this new era of successfor you, and in this playbook is where
we, we tackle off those small tasks, getthem done, get them out of the way before
you start focusing on your bigger tasks.
Because, when you tackle offthe smaller tasks, it actually

(12:08):
gives you a lot more courage.
It gives you a clearer vision and you havemore space to breathe for your big tasks.
And you're actually able to accomplishyour big tasks a lot quicker.
Which I think that's where the gold is.
The gold is in thesmall, mediocre moments.
Your life can uproot without any kind ofwarning, just from an ordinary decision.

(12:30):
And it's quite interesting, but I was watching the Ted
Ferris talk on fear setting.
And how we actually reallyneed to pay attention to fear.
I was thinking, how can weincorporate our fear into
planning the next era of our life?
Because all of us have fears, right?
They hold us back, it's a common thingfor all of us to deal with and to process.
And look, it's not great.

(12:51):
No one wants to deal with fear.
But I'm going to tell you a bit of astory about what happened to me last year
and how I tackled something that's beenin my life for an extremely long time.
You're not going to laugh at mefor this, but I had the biggest
phobia of emus, could not go nearthem, could not look at them.
If it came up on my phone, I wouldnearly want to throw my phone away.

(13:14):
I would quickly get it out of it.
It was just, I could not do emus at all.
Like I don't like clowns as well, butemus, yeah, really started to give me
heart palpitations Last year I was workingwith a young guy I was his support worker.
Once a week we would go out, wewould go look at all the animals

(13:34):
around, we would go to the zoos, the local aquariums, everything,
so then.
We went to this one wildlife park and theemus were free roaming in the whole place.
They would walk directly infront of you now, as you could
imagine, , stood at the front door.
I saw all these emus and I waslike, Oh, I'm here to do a job.

(13:55):
Hey, just put your stuffaside for a minute.
And like, uh, I'm getting hotflashes as I'm talking about
these, but I went through it and.
I did it.
I actually walked through and Ieven got a selfie with an emu.
I was nervous and I was secretlyshitting myself, but I took a selfie
with one and I tried to make it looklike I wasn't photoshopping myself

(14:18):
to try and prove that I did it.
but I did, I got probablywithin 45 centimetres, I think.
I still kept my social distancing, you know, just, you know.
Cause they've got really long necks, butI did it and I was really excited that.
I did do it because it proved that, hey, my fear is just an irrational

(14:39):
nonsense thought in my head.
It's not as if I've beenattacked by an emu in the past.
It was just a thought in myhead that it can attack me.
It runs really fast.
It pecks really quick.
And.
What if one comes at me?
I'm going to be like one of those peoplein Jurassic Park and I'm going to die.
That was my thing.
And it just catastrophizedin my head and it had been
catastrophizing in my head for years.

(15:00):
That's normal.
We all have somethingthat happens like that.
My daughter on the weekend, she didthis amazing, noble little thing.
She's very spirited, she's an old soul, and she's always thinking about other
people before herself, and we wereat a friend's house at a pool anyway,

(15:20):
she let out this belcher of a scream,, that lung curdling kind of scream.
And when you're a mom, you're justlike, is my child about to die?
She cried, she screamed, I picked herup and I was like, what is going on?
And she was holding a hand.
She's like, I've been stungby something on my hand.
She's just like I picked a bug up she'slike the bug was black and it was orange

(15:41):
or yellow and it had a big thing on itand I couldn't see anything on her hand
so she must have been um bitten likeactually pinced by a wasp or something
and And she's like, I just saw it.
It was in the pool and I pickedit up to get it out of the pool.
So no one else got stung by it.
And so she put herself in harm's way tomake sure no one else got in harm's way.

(16:03):
And in the process, she then got bitten.
I said to her, I said, okay, well, next time we don't do that
.Anyway, she came back in the pool probably two hours later, and she
was sitting on the side and shekept fearing every single bug.
I said to her, I said, well, you've got to feel the fear
and you've got to do it anyway.
You've got to get back in the pool.
You can't not swim anymorebecause you're afraid of bugs.
And I said to her thebug bit you, didn't it?

(16:24):
And she's like, yes, it did.
And I said, okay, And howlong did the pain last for?
Did the pain last for 10 minutes?
And she's like, yeah, it did.
And I said, okay, andyou feeling okay now?
And she's like, yeah, I am.
I said, well, okay.
And we know that it bit you.
We know it has the ability tobite you, but it's only temporary.
So get back in the pooland let's try it again.

(16:46):
And it was a workup to it,but she was able to understand
that her fear was temporary.
Temporary, it just catastrophizedin her head because she had been
bitten and that's what we all do.
That's a normal human thing.
But I want you to come into this nextera of your life and I want you to
have a look at those fears and I wantyou to say, what is holding me back?

(17:08):
What am I scared of?
am I scared that I'm going to starta business and it's going to fail?
And guess what?
I've had a number of businesses, they've failed and things didn't
really work out the way I planned, but now without all of those failures.
Everything is a lot easier,I'm going to have a hell of a
lot of setbacks, in the future.

(17:29):
but it's learning to dance withthe setbacks and not let them knock
you down completely there's thatfamous quotes on Cinderella story.
It says, never let the fear of strikingout keep you from playing the game.
What's the worst that's going to happen?
It's Looking at what's the worst goingto happen, what the best is going
to happen and how to minimize what'sthe worst that's going to happen.

(17:54):
You know, what steps can you takeif you're scared of your business
failing, Bring someone in to help you.
Hey, like me, I can help youbring your business to life.
And your ideas for life.
Like, so you don't feel alone.
It's a massive part of startinginto your next era, looking at
the people around you as well.
Who do you love having in your life?
Who do you hate having in your life?
Honestly, we've all got people in ourlife that we are really not a fan of,

(18:18):
but we might like them, but they justcause some kind of angst in our life.
At the end of last year.
I actually had to close a book on areally good friend of mine, and he has
been a massive part of my life for thelast 12 years, him and I didn't see
eye to eye on something he was also aclient of mine He was causing me a lot
of angst in our business relationshipbecause he just expected a lot.

(18:41):
It was basically he was my only clientand I didn't have any other priorities.
I think we both kind of made the decisionto just drop each other out of our lives.
And you know what, when thathappened, I was like, ah, okay, I
actually feel so good about that.
And when I let him go, he has beenwith me for the last couple of years.
And I've been doing a lot of designwork for him, for all of his businesses.

(19:04):
And when I closed the door on him, someother astronomical opportunity came up.
Within two days, I had someoneelse call me and then it's like,
we want a meeting with you.
It paid the same amount as towhat he was paying every year.
So it was like, okay, well, thank you universe.
You know, you do needto shut doors on people.
If they're not serving you,

(19:25):
I think that's what I'm really learningis your energy is so important.
If you complain about something, you havejust wasted so much energy complaining
about that one thing when you could haveused your breath and your stamina and
your energy focusing on something good.
We waste so much energy and I thinkwe've got to look at that a little

(19:46):
bit more and especially all thethings that are weighing on you.
Like if there's things that you're,that's weighing on you, , you've got
challenges or setbacks that are inyour road right now, that takes energy.
So we've got to clear all ofthose things before we can kind
of get to this new era of yours.
And that era needs to encapsulateyou wholeheartedly, like it is

(20:07):
a soul driven piece of work.
We're not putting a time frame on it.
It's not you're going to be startingthis new era and it's going to last 12
months and you're going to accomplishall of these things in 12 months.
It's not, it's justpulling the pressure off.
And not getting to November andbeing like, Oh, you know what?
I have done absolutely squaton all of my goals this year.

(20:30):
I'm a failure.
What a shit human I am.
That's it.
I'm not good for anything.
I'm just going to watchNetflix and eat bulk popcorn.
, I would love to eat bulk popcorn.
Don't get me wrong.
I did that a bit over December, butI also sat there with my computer.
I sat there with my notebooks and workedout some correspondence and admin.
And that was so nice tohave that switch off.

(20:53):
But what I realized that I've beendoing for a number of years now, was
that I have been saying to myself fora long time that rest is my reward.
So it's like, I get throughthis thing, then I get to rest
and I do it as well with food.
So if I have a task on my plate, because I have a massive tendency to
go wander and I start one task andthen I think to myself and then I.

(21:19):
Go start another task that is completelyoff topic or it is completely unrelated
and it's just not moving the needle.
. And I used to go through tasksand be like, okay, I have, once I
finished this task, then I get toeat lunch, then I get to have a
little bit of a 10 minute breather,
and towards the end of last year, Iwasn't eating lunch until four o'clock

(21:39):
in the afternoon, just because someof my tasks took a lot longer than
expected, but I was starving myselfto make sure I got the tasks done.
Which is so not the way to do it.
please don't anyone ever do that.
But when I learned that I hadbeen rewarding myself with rest,
like it nearly was unachievable.
And that's why I never rested becauseevery single time I did a task, I'd

(22:02):
be like, right, I've got to get ontothe next task and the next task.
And once I get this gigantic, big project out of the way,
then I get to have a breather.
And then I went on to the nextthing and it just did not stop.
And I think that's where I got reallyburnt out really quickly because
there was no rest for me at all.
But moving forward.

(22:23):
I want you to have a lookat where you can delegate.
I want this new era for youto be all about outsourcing.
Delegating what's not on your list.
If there's chores at home thatyou need help with, but you're
too stubborn and you just think,I'm just going to do it myself.
No, put it on someone elsewho can help you with it.
That's that's super important.

(22:44):
But, you need to be able toalso find your timeout spaces.
Where is your happy place?
What is your favorite beverage?
What's your thing thatgets you to switch off?
Like so when I did my start of the yearplanning, I wanted to go to my favorite
place because I knew that that's wheremy mind's really clear and when my

(23:05):
mind's really clear, I'm super creative.
And also when we're onthe topic of creativity.
I don't want you to everthink I'm not creative.
So I can't do things like I can'tstart a business or I can't do anything
because I'm not a creative person.
And we all put creativity ina box of talent that we say
if I can draw, I'm creative.

(23:25):
If I can design something, I'mcreative, that's not the case at all.
We actually createeverything all the time.
Like if you're thinking about what you'remaking for dinner, that's being creative,
what you're thinking about writing downor your thoughts are just creative.
Everyone's got a creativebone in their body.

(23:46):
Everyone's just got a differentversion of creativity.
Like I used to think like my creativitywas drawing and I love drawing, but
now my creativity is Business strategy.
I put my little business strategy capeon, and I feel like I'm invincible I
can teach I can inspire and upliftpeople because that's what brings me joy.

(24:10):
And that's what I know.
And even when I don't reallyknow a hundred percent all
the time, I know I can learn.
And I think that's probably the bestpart of creativity is that you can learn.
What is a skill that you want to learn?
Because we're going to putthat in the new era as well.
We're going to focus on things.
That's not just your giganticbig picture of I want to start a

(24:30):
business or I want to start a family.
It's not just about your.
overarching big vision of your life.
We're going to, we are looking atall of the smaller bits and pieces,
because I think we have been filledwith so much noise over the years of
what we need to do, what we want to do.

(24:51):
And we forget all these realsmall things that actually make
monumental milestones in your life.
So that's another thing that Ireally want you to focus on in
your new era is to have a look atwhat you have always wanted to do.
It might not be something necessarilyto make money with, but what is it?

(25:12):
Like I've always wanted to be a dancer.
When I was a little girl,I did physical culture.
I tried out for the aerobics team.
I am not bendy at all.
they saw me trying to do the splitsand they're like, that girl's
going to break some groin bones.
It is not pretty.
And they're like, no, no, no, obviouslycan't be in the aerobics class.
So I then went and did Starstruck.

(25:32):
I did contemporary and hip hopand all that kind of stuff.
In school but I've really wanted toget back into dancing so that's what
is in my vision for the next era isthat I'm going to join some kind of
adult dance class in my area and youknow I might look like a penguin that's
having an epileptic fit but I don'tcare because that's what brings me joy.

(25:53):
I don't mind looking like adrunk pancake in front of people.
I'm actually quite okay with that now,I'm brilliant at laughing at myself.
So that's one thing for me.
That's my hobby that I'mgoing to start doing.
I'm going to enroll myself in.
Yours might be learning how to play guitaror going to cooking classes or something.
It might just be somethingthat sparks your joy.

(26:14):
You might go to it or you might learn it.
online, but I really want you to makethat a priority this year is to not
just this year, but in this new era, always focus on what sets your soul on
fire because we do, we forget about it.
We're all just in that push ofmaking money and doing things.
And you might actually find that inthese skills or hobbies that you're

(26:35):
learning, whilst you might not initiallybe in it to make money, You might become
so good at it that you can make moneyand you can turn it into a business.
So that's where there's so manybusinesses that are growing and
scaling and starting becausethey've just learned something new.
I think that's the best part of it.
Like that, no matter what you do, youcan always monetize off something.

(26:58):
in the future.
So when you go and plan your new eraand say if the 12 months visualization
really overwhelms you, I want youto break it down into quarters.
Schedule one day, as a minimum, aquarter for you to go have a you day.
Like what I did with my planning day, . Iwent and put myself in my own little

(27:20):
bubble and I didn't have outside noise.
I didn't have other thingsto distract me with.
That was where I could plan.
That was where I could implement things.
I could look at the future and belike, right, I'm going to set dates
for all of these things I planned mypartner to be at home with the kids on
my set quarterly days, because I needto get these planning days done for

(27:43):
me, for my business, for my students.
if I don't have that time, then I'mnot going to have time to really build
on my dreams and what I want to do.
So I planned out the next 12months to be like, okay, Ben, I'm
going to give you three dates.
Can you please have theschool times off from work?
I can take them to school in the morning, but if you can be home in the afternoon

(28:03):
with them, then that would be a godsend.
When I asked him if he can dothat, you know what his answer was?
Oh, yes, he can do it.
There was no reservation, and I thinkif you are caught with someone who
would give you reservation, I'vebeen in the past with someone like
that before where you've wanted to dosomething, but there's a barrier to
say, actually no, you can't do that.

(28:24):
there's a gentle way that youcan make your own direction.
If you need to hire a babysitter orask family or friends and just be
like can you please help me with this?
Like, I think we all have struggled toask for help a lot in the past, , we
know we're capable of doing it ourselvesand we choose to do it ourselves.
We just forget to ask for help sometimes.

(28:45):
And I think I would really like forthat for you in the future is that
you have that breathing space thatyou're able to ask for help, so plan
yourself a quarterly day as a minimum, that you just plan everything for
the next quarter that you want to do.
Plan it for the month, whatever timemanagement skill works best for you.

(29:08):
, But if you're looking at your new era, moving forward, visualize it as well.
You know, we all talk about visionboards and how vision boards really
help you visualize for success.
And it's kind of gone.
The days aren't really here nowwhere you have a magazine that you
can go cut things out and pastethem in and sniff the clad glue.
we don't have those days anymore.

(29:28):
But You know, what you can do is ifyou don't have access to a printer,
just go into Pinterest and startcreating your own Pinterest board.
Then go into Canva online, save all of thepictures collage them and then put them
as your wallpaper, on your computer thing.
You can do things like that tohelp keep you visualized or put
it as a lock screen on your phone.

(29:49):
I know last year I wassuper desperate for travel.
I really needed to get away to thebeach and I was striving for it.
Now I've always had my family as my.
wallpaper on my phone, but I foundthis beautiful picture on Pinterest it
was like a little swing in betweentwo palm trees on a beautiful
turquoise white sanded beach.

(30:10):
I put that as my wallpaper.
And because I couldn't get to thattravel destination, me having that as
my lock screen, just helped me breathe.
It was like, okay, I'min that tranquil space.
Whilst I might not be able tobe physically there, I've got
this that I can look at, and itjust gives me my sense of calm.
I often put other wallpapersup if I'm really striving for

(30:33):
something else that I need.
, I might put up some kind of badassenergy quote on my wallpaper if
I'm really feeling the funk and Ineed a good boot up the backside.
Like my iPad wallpaper, it says, oneday at a time you impatient psychopath.
And that is just a beautifulreminder for me that everything
just takes a little bit of time.
But the next thing you have to lookat is all of the wins that you've had,

(30:56):
Like the really big wins andthe really small wins as well.
When I was going through theStruthless 2024 template, one of
the questions was, a small sillywin which need not be diminished.
Because his whole template's in poetryand I love that because he's really
creative and it gets you and , makesit all a little bit more fun for you.
And, you know, the small silly win forme was that all my children survived.

(31:21):
And I know that seems incredibly, seemingly stupid, incredibly,
to keep them breathing.
Like they were in my care, theysurvived, they're fed, they're happy.
I did the job as the mum.
I got really excitedthat they all survived.
Not that I'm morbid or anything.
But you know, I have a tendencyto make succulents die.

(31:44):
I don't even know how I do that.
My fish always end up drowning.
I just can't keep things alive.
And it's one thing I probably needto work on, but my children survived.
So I guess that's probablya really good thing.
And my relationship flourished and wetake the real small things for granted.
So I think that's where we reallyneed to stop and have a look at your
small wins, but coming into yournew era of your really big goals,

(32:08):
like your big audacious things.
What do you want in your life?
What if you could have everythinghanded to you on a silver platter?
What would that be?
Would that be?
A million dollar mansion, wouldthat be a million dollars?
Would it be having your own successfulbusiness with lots of employees?
Would it be having all ofyour family around you for
Christmas and every Christmas?

(32:28):
Is it that you want to havea family holiday every year?
You know, everyone'sversion of their own eras.
It's something different, , you could beselling your house and then you're moving
into your next era of your new location.
And that it brings so much excitement.
, I was so excited to do this podcastepisode because this is my jam.
I get really excited to planthings and execute things.

(32:48):
And I love when thingsare a new beginning.
I'm one of those crazy people thatI'm like that guy, what's that
elf guy, the Christmas Oh, he getsreally excited about Christmas.
That's me when it comes toplanning and new beginnings and
getting a new lease on life.
And I'm always constantlylooking at things to make them
new and refreshing and exciting.
But one of the questions in my planningwas, how can I make marketing more fun?

(33:14):
Because it's really mediocre sometimes.
And sometimes I'm justnot in the groove for it.
. So I came up with the idea of, I'mgoing to start putting weird funky
outfits on when I'm just in myown little office, no one sees me.
I might even take some random selfiesevery now and again, if the outfits
are really outrageous, but you know,I might put on a funny hat or I might
wear a crown, or I might put a ball gownon, you know, something just to kind

(33:37):
of get me feeling a little bit unique.
And I think that's what I need when itcomes to marketing is I just, I need to
feel unique so then I can provide reallyunique content and really authentic
content as well, because I love humor
and I think that's probably where I canthen be authentic because I'm not trying
to force myself at a desk to be like,Oh, this feels really unintentional.

(34:01):
It just feels fake.
I'm not about fake marketing at all.
I really like to provide everything to be.
As authentic as me as possible andsomething that you can also enjoy and
that you relate to, because if you can'trelate to it, then it's not worth it.
So at the end of theday, you're my, hero.
You are my vision board, because what Iwant to create for my life is what I want

(34:24):
to help you create for your life as well.
and that's where we really, whenwe're stepping into our new era,
when we let our own, Lights shine.
We unconsciously give othersthe permission to do the same.
There is a beautiful Nelson Mandelaquote , that's one of my favorite
quotes as well, because, you know, when we are stepping into our own power
and doing what we wanna do, it givesothers the permission to do the same.

(34:47):
Because everyone does tendto follow other people.
And if you're stepping intoyour power, be like, here I am.
Watch me raw.
It is.
It's beautiful.
And it is such a breath of fresh air.
So I want you to do that.
And another podcast I really wantyou to listen to is Mel Robbins.
Mel Robbins just did a phenomenal2025 projection, and she has some
brilliant questions in there.

(35:08):
And I want to leave you with one ofthe analogies that she put out there.
And she said that, you know, when you're,you're driving to a friend's house, right?
And it's a friend's house thatyou've never been to before.
They've given you the address and they'vekind of given you vague directions.
And you get there, right?
You get nearly there, but then youneed to call them because you're lost.
And you're just like, can youjust give me more directions?

(35:31):
I'm close.
, I'm nearly there, but I just need someextra guidance on where I need to go.
Okay.
And how to get there.
And your friends are like, yeah,Oh yeah, just turn left here.
Turn right here.
Bob's your uncle.
I want you to think of that as me.
If you are on your direction and you'reso close that you can feel it but you're
just not sure of the next moves to make.

(35:52):
I'm your girl.
That's it.
I'm here for your wins, yourlosses, anything that you need to
help you get onto that next step.
Whether that's in entrepreneurship, business, or if it's something in life,
like just please message me becauseI'm always tapping into how I can help
you more and what I can do for you.
I think that's really important, but download the playbook.

(36:15):
It's in the show notes for you.
Get comfortable.
As I always say, go to your happy placeand write this out, have some quiet time.
This is for you to enjoyand for you to enter into.
I think that's really important.
Just to not hold back lay it all outon the line Get really loud with what
you want in your life because you canget it You have the power to change

(36:36):
anything and everything for you.
So Here is to your new era becauseit is going to be phenomenal.
It is going to be amazing Yes, you mighthave ups and downs, but that's part of it.
And that's how you grow.
So I'm really excited And next weekwe're swinging into where to actually
start when you want to start a business.
So we're really kind of just beinglike, well, you've got this idea.

(36:59):
Now what I'm going to direct youand I'm going to help you with that.
So then if a new business is in yournew era, then we get to do that for you.
We get to work on it together.
