Current Energies and Seasonal Transitions:

As this podcast airs, we find ourselves in June, at the very last phase of the spring season. The light of the moon is increasing, and the days are getting longer. We are at the height of the season, opening up to so much, recognizing our abundance and growth, perhaps even pulling a few weeds along the way.

It's a time to acknowledge all that we've planted and what is unveiling and unfolding for the year ahead. We can now step forward a little more on this great wheel of life as we recognize our path and what we truly want to focus on. The entire year is opening up, and summer is just around the corner, a time for relaxation and enjoyment of all our hard work.

I often talk about the "wild woman" of summer coming forward, as it's a season to get outside and appreciate the patience that comes with growth. We can find ourselves urging the growth to happen faster, but that can lead to frustration. Instead, it's a time to shed a few layers and embrace the fun and joy that will help us transition and truly appreciate all the work we've done.

The divine feminine emerges in summer, reminding us of our growth, beauty, and the wisdom we can share. It’s a time, as I like to call it, to shapeshift our body, mind, and spirit. I know I often struggle at this time of year, feeling self-conscious about my body and sometimes turning to emotional eating. It prompts me to reflect on what’s underneath those urges. What’s holding me back? Am I processing emotions in ways that might not be healthy, like stuffing them down with food, or through other addictions?

When we avoid addressing our emotions, we often seek distractions, whether it's too much wine at night, compulsive shopping, or binge-watching Netflix. We all have our coping mechanisms for not dealing with what’s going on inside us. The essence of summer brings forward the element of water and our emotions, prompting us to ask: What am I working with? What’s preventing me from processing my feelings?

This is the time of year when we can experience a bit more freedom in how we choose to view ourselves and our lives. How can you shapeshift your existence? What emotions tend to lead you toward those distractions? We all have them. Perhaps you find yourself caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts driven by your emotions.

However, simply being outside with Mother Earth can lead to greater understanding. Summer is indeed the time to shed those layers. After all the hard work we've put in during spring, we might find ourselves doubting our capabilities as summer arrives. This self-doubt can stir emotions that cloud our minds, leading to stagnation.

It’s crucial to navigate this transition effectively. Last week, I discussed the concept of "midwifing" the soul, caring for it not just at the end of life, but throughout all transitions, even the smaller ones. These small transitions help us comprehend the larger shifts in our lives
