Traci begins working with Skylar on the issues she's experiencing with her parents, using a variety of techniques. The fog begins to lift and Skylar changes her focus to the people who love and support her unconditionally. Traci then helps Skylar with some strategic goals to help her make the most of her time before surgery (pre-recording content that she can drip over the time she's healing), and using her spare time to rest, recover, and learn how to write comedy. Skylar also talks about how she's continued with traditional therapy, but with hypnotherapy added to her self care, she's able to make changes in herself very quickly.

KEY POINTS:

-Skylar Calico discusses her move from Germany to the US at eight years old and the emotional impact of her mother's behavior.

Music, none of what happens on this podcast is
planned in advance. My guests,my clients, are real people with
incredible stories. They aregraciously sharing their
hypnosis session and theirhealing journey with you, the
listener, you will experiencefirsthand, their highs, their

(00:26):
lows and their laughs got it.Were there any chords that you
left alone? Or did you cut themall? There are a couple of like

Skylar Calico (00:40):
old positive,
probably from, like, you know, Imoved from Germany when I was
eight, probably, like, three, moving to the US that I was,
like, those can stay. Those arestill good, perfect. But I don't
feel like my mother would put mein a lot of bad situations and
then rescue me from them. Lookat how I saved you and like,

(01:02):
that's something that she's heldover my head for a very long
time.

Unknown (01:05):
Okay, here, yeah, so, so with those ones that you
reattach to yourself when you'reready, you can attach those back
to your folks, if you choose, oryou can attach them to someone
else who you feel is better. Wejust cauterize them. You could
do that too. My job is to break, yeah, break the ties and to make

(01:29):
you feel good about it. But Ialso want to give you the option
to connect back, in case theychange. Yeah, in case they did.
Now, they're probably not, they're probably not, but
there's always that option thatyou can always reconnect
yourself to them. Okay, so howare we feeling? Little bit Okay,

(01:56):
good. Yeah. What else would youlike to work on? Um, I don't
know,

Skylar Calico (02:06):
because you kind of encompass, like, the the like
building, with having mycommunity with me, because I
very much pictured, like, youknow, I'm part of the kink
community, and, like, all my, mykink peers, like, yeah, in that
little, that little star,because

Unknown (02:21):
you have such a great network, yeah, because with M
and then your power guy, yeah, Idon't want to see my partner,
your partner, okay? And thenDanny. Of course, we added
Danny. Danny doesn't care. He'sso fucking cool. So, yeah, so

(02:41):
you have a good network. Andthen there's even people that I
haven't met or seen you with, that I'm sure a part of that
network too. Okay, so thenthere's a couple other things
that I wanted to touch on, themental health issue, taking that
time off, I think has you alittle flipped out.

Skylar Calico (03:01):
I almost feel like I'm disappointing. Like,
you know, I told my fans I wasgetting this done. I feel like
I'm disappointing myself. I feellike, you know, like the the
inability to commit, but at thesame time, like everyone I talk
to on an advisor level, or I'mlike, should I? And they're
like, We think you shouldpostpone this. Like, we really
you're not quite where youshould be in order to get this,

(03:25):
this major life altering surgerydone, especially because it's a
cosmetic surgery. So like, younever want to do that when
you're not completely 100%right?

Unknown (03:36):
So let's go into that. I'm disappointing my fans and
disappointing myself. Um, I'mnot 100% also, I feel a lot of
like every time I mention itlike, but you're so perfect
already. No, you should get themsmaller. No, you should get them
bigger. No, you should. I'mlike, I would say, what

Skylar Calico (03:53):
makes me happy? And
then I feel guilt about that. But, oh, about doing something

Unknown (03:59):
that makes you happy, yeah, okay, all right. Because,

Skylar Calico (04:05):
like, at the end of the day, my fans do pay my
bills. They do, you know, makesure that I can do anything and
everything that I want. Blah, blah, blah, and so like, but I
also know, out of, you know,500,000

Unknown (04:21):
the two that speak up probably don't speak the the
opinion of 500,000 right? Andthe two that speak up say,

Skylar Calico (04:33):
and the two that speak up don't pay my bills. Oh,
all right, you know what I mean?Like, they're like, Yeah, we pay
you 20 bucks. And I'm like,

Traci Kanaan (04:43):
Yeah, this guy thinks

Skylar Calico (04:44):
it's a great idea. He gave me 10k

Unknown (04:49):
so I'm gonna listen to him. Yeah, alright, so now
there's that six months thatyou're healing from the surgery.
Okay, what happens in that sixmonths? Absolutely fucking
nothing. It's gonna drive menuts. All right, let's focus on,
focus on that. Six months, I'mstarting

Skylar Calico (05:09):
to look into, like, pottery classes and like,
good, you know, trying to finddifferent like, I'm like, Oh,
can I go to the communitycenter? Can I join AARP? I'm
practically retired. It's anissue. I have too much goddamn
time on my hands now. I wentfrom I'm working 90 to 100 hours
a week to

Traci Kanaan (05:29):
to nothing. I'm just resting an

Skylar Calico (05:32):
hour to two hours a day, and then I'll be just
I'll be down. Okay,

Unknown (05:38):
so what do we do with this time? Alright, I'm going to
share my story with you reallyquick. So my mother got sick,
and I had to take care of her,and she was in and out of the
hospital six times in fourmonths, or something crazy like
that. And so I couldn't go onthe road and do comedy like I

(05:59):
wanted to. And it's like, whatcan I do to sharpen my skills
that would ultimately help? SoI'm still in touch with my
craft, but I'm adding adifferent dimension to it, and I
decided to take improv classes, and that was the best thing I
could have ever done, just stayat home. It ended up being a

(06:22):
year or two years that I studiedimprov, and it added this whole
other dimension to my comedyshow, because when I did comedy,
I'm like, oh, fuck if I forgetmy joke, if I forget my joke,
I'm not funny. I'm not funny. And then with improv, is like,
Fuck it, I forgot my joke. Andthen I guess we'll just make
something up and just suck

Skylar Calico (06:43):
at written jokes. I cannot do written jokes. I am
so fucking good at improv, though, because everything I do
is

Unknown (06:49):
off the cuff, yeah, everything. So maybe this is a
time for you learn comedywriting. Yeah, actually, it's
fucking genius, because, yeah,I've been thinking about that
anyways. Yeah, learn comedywriting. And look at this time
is not like, I'm gonna go crazybecause I've lost touch with my

(07:11):
fans, but I'm learning skillsthat I can use. I'm still

Skylar Calico (07:16):
gonna be in touch with my fans. It's, it's, you
know, once we're past the firstweek, two weeks, which I'm
taking off and and definitely, like passing on to my agency,
being like, Hey, y'all have run.I think I'm gonna, like,
definitely be in touch withthem. So it's more just the
physical aspect of like, notbeing able to dance around the

(07:38):
kitchen with my cat. She loveswhen I pick her up and we do a
little dance, dance, okay? Andyou know she's, she's a 12 pound
bag of soup. Yep,

Traci Kanaan (07:49):
cats get heavy soup dumpling.

Skylar Calico (07:52):
She is very dumpling, like, um.

Traci Kanaan (07:56):
And, yes, Mimi. This is

Skylar Calico (07:58):
Mimi. Okay. Pink lot is still snarfle bits. Is um
pink blot, Rorschach, snarfleBits pigment, figment of the
void.

Unknown (08:09):
These are all the same names. All the same names. She
thought that's her full namebecause then I just went to my
president of the condoassociation with nope, two cats,

Skylar Calico (08:20):
two cats, two cats, but she needs a
ridiculously long name, likethat was one of my rules. And
also they are both esas. They'reboth certified essays. I have
the letter to say that they areesas.

Unknown (08:31):
Gotcha. Yes. Okay, so now six months with nothing,
this is a time to reconnect. What are other ways that you can
look at the six months. Soinstead of, I'm going to be
crazy because I'm not. I'venever taken a vacation. I've
never taken it. So this couldbe, I may go on

Skylar Calico (08:50):
cruise, like, I know Rob doesn't like cruises. I
may grab my best friend and belike, we're going on a cruise.
Because I did that last year. Itook her on we had the groupie
sock vacation of 2024. Is whatwe called it. And we checked
ourselves into the JW Marriottdown in Clearwater service, and
went absolutely crazy. And Imade T shirts for it, and then

(09:12):
sold like $1,700 worth of thoseT shirts, which I did not
expect, and because it wasvivid, Miss Reese's Lotus
toaster, live life. Toaster bathin in Latin, okay,

Unknown (09:27):
um, so cruise vacation of some sort, because this is,
this is like a greatopportunity, because I imagine
you've tucked away some moneythis past year. Um, so you love
to work. You love what you do,but if you don't work, it's not,
yeah, I

Skylar Calico (09:47):
have a little two months that I can't do any
shooting, I can't do any like oncamera, like anything, and then
after two months I can. I.Shoot.

Traci Kanaan (10:01):
Obviously

Skylar Calico (10:03):
I can, like, fill my face and stuff, but like,
anything below right chest. Andthen after two months, I can,
but it's still, like, can't liftover 10 pounds, can't do this,
can't
do that.

Unknown (10:14):
No lifting. This bothers you. You're You're
terrified. More of

Skylar Calico (10:22):
I mean, have you seen me, like, climb all over my
partner like I am. I'm extremelyacrobatic. And when I am
nervous, one of the things I dois I literally climb him like a
tree. And I usually I'm doinghandstands and headstands and
this and that, and flippingupside down and all kinds of
stuff. And I am,

(10:42):
I can't do that anymore, okay?Or else
I'm gonna rip open shit. And myword is that I'm gonna forget
that I can't do okay, becauseI'm the queen of like,

Unknown (10:52):
pushing myself too hard. Okay, so I got six months
of nothing coming up. I got sixmonths of nothing coming up. I
gotta find a way to positivelyrechannel my energy. I gotta
find a way to positivelyrechannel my energy. I can learn
new skills. I can learn newskills like comedy writing, like
comedy writing. I'm gonna haveto take it easy. I'm gonna have

(11:12):
to take it easy. I have workedso hard these past couple of
years. I have worked so hardthese past couple of years, it's
okay if I take a break. It'sokay if I take a break, I'll be
alright. I'll be alright. I canstill keep in touch. I can still
keep in touch. I could stillgrow a fan base. I can still
grow a fan base. I can marketthe materials I've already done.
I can market the materials. Icould shoot ahead and then do a

(11:35):
slow release over six months.

Skylar Calico (11:38):
I could shoot ahead and then do a slow release
over six months, and

Unknown (11:41):
no one will ever know that I've been missing in
action.

Skylar Calico (11:45):
And no one will ever know that I've been missing
in action, except for theridiculous amount of tattoos
that I'm going to pop up with.

Unknown (11:54):
So be it. So be it. I can do this. I can do this. This
could be a perfect opportunity. This can be a perfect
opportunity. Instead of sixmonths of what the fuck am I
going to do with instead of sixmonths of what the fuck am I
going to do with myself, I couldlet it go. I could let it go.
I'm okay with this. I'm okaywith this. Something good will
come from this. Something goodwill come from this. Good. Take
a nice deep breath in, grab yourwrist, blow it away and say

(12:17):
Peace. Peace. You. Okay, how didthat feel? Good, good. What's
left? Okay, six months ornothing. I

Skylar Calico (12:33):
think between the comedy writing and, like,
working on my tattoos, becausethat's we're working on a full
body suit, so, like, I'm gonnahave a lot of downtime that I
can go and get under the needle.

Traci Kanaan (12:44):
Okay, comedy writing and tattoos. Um,

Skylar Calico (12:48):
hey, now I'm excited about that. Look at
me getting excited about it.Look at me excited about it.
This is a good thing. This is agood thing. I've worked so hard.
I've worked so hard. Six monthsis really nothing in the span of
my entire life. Six months isreally nothing in the span of my
entire life. I'm doing things onmy terms, doing things on my

(13:10):
terms, my way, my way. That'sthe right way. That's the right
way. I'm listening to myself.I'm listening to myself. I got
this. I got this. I let the restgo. I let the rest go. Good.
Take a nice, deep breath in,grab your wrist, blow it away,
and say peace. Cool and art. Youknow, you got your art projects.

(13:31):
I got a whole cabinet door to dotoday.

Unknown (13:38):
So there's a lot of good stuff that can come out of
the six months. Yeah,

Skylar Calico (13:45):
I'm going to paint a lot. It's going to be
insane.

Unknown (13:49):
So I think this is, I think it's a really good
opportunity. And if you can prerecord the material and then do
a slow drip and just set a goal. However, working

Skylar Calico (14:03):
on um, I just, I like to, like, especially for my
comedy stuff, like, keep itsomewhat current with events.
You know, the the one I filmed, the one that I released recently
that was about uh, people, quirky, pigging it, Winnie the
poet, and Donald ducking it atthe nudist resort, you know,
because I said, Hey, I live in anuisance resort, you know, pants
free place, and people like,Wait, people just like, Porky,

(14:25):
take it all the time. I'm like,oh. And then the cold times
happen. And then I went, Yes,they kind of fucking do. That's

Unknown (14:32):
just the Canadians. That just blows my mind crazy.

Skylar Calico (14:35):
Blows my mind. You're parka, and then you've
got nothing underneath, likenothing on the bottom, like,

Unknown (14:42):
what's wrong with you? I know it's the Canadians that,
for whatever reason, they think35 degrees is tanning weather.
And it's like, no, no Canadian.Stop, just stop. Bundle. Yeah,
right, bundle. And then thebottom half, just, just, just,
we need to. Who would it? Iknow, I know it blows my mind,

(15:03):
but it's, it's like the peoplewho are there full time, no, no,
no. We're like, No, this is thetime for pants. No times for
pants. And there are times forno pants. If you live there full
time, you come out like the kidin the Christie's story. It's
like, I know it's 65 degrees.You actually

Skylar Calico (15:21):
own a good winter jacket, and so we're just
bundling with whatever lightlayers you have. Yeah, I feel
like we need to explain that forthe studio. On I have a

Unknown (15:29):
4x sweater, a 3x sweater, a 2x sweater, a 1x
sweater and an extra large and Iwear all five Yes, God forbid I
buy a coat. I only have a jacketbecause we travel so much. Yeah,
when I, when I went up north forcomedy because, for whatever
reason, they would get theshittiest week in this one

(15:49):
comedy club I worked at all thetime in Ohio, was the second
week of January. But because myswinger, people would show out,
they would buy more liquor thanNew Year's Eve that second week
of January. And so that was myweek for like, four or five
years, right in a row. And so Ihad to keep winter coat and
boots and and it was just like,I hate that. It takes up all the

(16:11):
space in my closet. Yeah, itbeats the out of being cold when
you're up there. I

Skylar Calico (16:16):
mean, the other thing about living in a near
miss resort is you don't havemuch shit in your clothes. I
realizing, like, I barely ownany pants. I own ball gowns. I
have ball gowns. I fucking ass.I am so much weird shit. I do
you want to wear latex? We canwear latex, but I don't own but,
like, three pairs of pants.

Unknown (16:36):
It's an issue. It's a problem. When I travel and I'm
like, What do I bring? Oh, shit,I don't own clothes. Yeah, I
know, first world nudistproblem. Yeah, for sure, I was
teasing my family. They didn'tlike it, but oh well. It's like,
I have all these places theycould stay at. You know, I have

(16:58):
seven Airbnbs, yeah? And, youknow, it's below zero in Ohio,
and I got family in Tennessee, and I'm like, why don't you come
visit us now? We'll freeze.Alright, stay cold. You can
enjoy our 50 degree weather. I

Skylar Calico (17:16):
mean, it's stay cool one time. My my
grandmother, my brother, myyounger brother, my grandmother
and my dad are all in the carwith me, and I'm like, Oh, I
gotta go home. And they're like,
well, we'll drop you off. AndI'm like, at the nudeist with my
grandmother and my and mybrother in the car. I'm like,

Unknown (17:33):
Yeah, you should do it. No, it happened. It happened.
Oh, it did. And they're both andmy grandmother my brother stick
it up against the one. I'm like,do you guys want to come see the
name? No, that's too we're doingthis like a zoo. We're on
Safari. That's hilarious. Oh mygosh. That is funny yeah, due to

(18:01):
Safari and petting zoo. Alright, back to you. It's going to be a
party. Alright, so you feel, areyou feeling better about the six
months? Yes, um, does it helpfor you to set a deadline? Like,
I'm doing it this,

Skylar Calico (18:19):
I'm going to do it probably my birthday, like,
for my birthday, like as areward, as a reward. Oh, okay,
and that way I can kind of,like, go into Christmas, oh,

Unknown (18:30):
yeah, because probably not much is happening in
Christmas time anyway. Alright,so you do it for your birthday,

Skylar Calico (18:37):
or do it for like, no, not November, or
something like one of my downmonths, because November and
December are the two slowestmonths for me. Okay, generally,
people aren't spending on onluxuries like that, because they
have, you know, no nut Novemberand then, no, not November.
Yeah, not November. Which isthat's, that's pussy to me.

(19:01):
Okay,

Unknown (19:02):
no nut in November, that's when they're feeling
guilty,

Skylar Calico (19:05):
feeling guilty about things. And then, you
know, Christmas, they have tobuy a bunch of presents so they
don't have the extra money.

Unknown (19:11):
Is so if you have no nut November is there, like, big
balls in December,

Skylar Calico (19:15):
I don't, I don't know, under the Christmas tree,
maybe hanging from the Christmastree. God damn it. Now I need to
get a testicle ornament

Unknown (19:24):
so they're there. They have manmades Mermaids. Okay, so
you'll do this around yourbirthday and then, so you won't
really be losing anything inNovember and December. Yeah,
because you you'd have been slowanyway, yeah. And then whatever,
months after that, you take off.I think that's a good plan.

Skylar Calico (19:44):
Plus, I'm not, like, going through the summer
having to, like, cover up,having to, like, because, you
know, you have to wear those, those fucking binders and shit,
yeah, which is I'm not excitedabout,

Traci Kanaan (19:55):
but it will Donald

Skylar Calico (19:56):
ducking it at the pool.

Unknown (19:58):
It will all pay off. If with those binders, please wear
the binder.

Skylar Calico (20:03):
Yes, absolutely. Wear the binders. And if anyone
has a problem with it, just go.Are you going to pay for me to
get it fixed? No, then shut up.Yes,

Unknown (20:11):
yeah, typically they don't bother you too much with
stuff like that. Yeah. So good.Alright, let's just check our
work. I um, your mom calls.Let's go get lunch tomorrow.
Yeah, I'm good, okay, let me

Skylar Calico (20:31):
go hang out with the people that actually like
me.

Unknown (20:33):
Um, let's see wanting and guilt. Uh, just testing your
reaction, I slave away foldingthese towels.

Skylar Calico (20:45):
I'm sure you do that's that sounds like a year
problem, okay,

Unknown (20:49):
um, the yellow, I'm sorry, the purple star feels
good. And taking six months off,I'm gonna learn so many skills I
relearn German, putting this onyour to do list, German, I was
thinking about starting off theday and like doing some some

(21:10):
courses while I was painting.Okay,

Skylar Calico (21:12):
that's kind of cool. Yeah, there's

Unknown (21:15):
all these. I was just amazed, like all this. Steve
Martin. Do you know who SteveMartin is funny comedian, really
funny in the 70s, but he said, everything you learn in your
lifetime, you will be able touse again. And so, like, he
picked up banjo and ended up,you know, he played banjo as a
kid, he brought it back. And Ifind, like, even I learned tap

(21:39):
dancing and I was able to bringthat back. And then comedy I've
reused into hypnosis. And soit's really cool that all these
skills that you learn that youcan bring in, like, even your
art skills, what if you tookthat into your and yes,

Skylar Calico (21:55):
and then I've had, well, that's where all the
the crazy makeups that I do camefrom, yep, but also I've like,
started painting on like livesand doing like a Bob Ross thing
where I'm like, Okay, so we'renot going to talk about
politics. We're not going totalk about anything that's going
on in the world. We're not goingto anything else. We're just
going to sit here and we'regoing to paint. We're

Traci Kanaan (22:15):
going to talk about our dates other than that
perfect. And they have

Skylar Calico (22:17):
gone off like fucking wildfire. People love
just letting them like, happy
little trees, little mistake.Oh, it's fine.
Just channeling my inner BobRoss,

Traci Kanaan (22:31):
happy trees. Happy little

Skylar Calico (22:33):
trees,

Unknown (22:34):
awesome. What else can I help you with? I feel like we
I feel like we did. So that waslike a tune up. Yeah, I feel
like that

Skylar Calico (22:41):
was a good tune up, though, awesome, yeah,
because now I can't think ofanything like, Oh no, I don't
have enough problems. Tracy, youfixed me too good. How dare you

Unknown (22:55):
keep the love bomb? No bombing porn, as one does. It
sounds like a Pokemon Hypno, yeah, as one does, as one does.
If one does, you can, you can.Hypno love Bobby, I'm working.
That's not the

Skylar Calico (23:10):
title of this. Hypno love bombing as one does.

Unknown (23:15):
Alright? Hypno bombing as one does. I'll make it the
title Hypno bombing. As onedoes, as one does, awesome.
You're always such a delight tohave on here. Thank you.
Podcast. I just seriously justwatching you, bro and bloom,

(23:36):
just like,

Skylar Calico (23:38):
yeah, it was totally unexpected. Like, it
wasn't even in directions that Iwas like, oh, you know, I didn't
come in and be like, oh, I wantto be successful. I want to be
this. I was just like, Man, I'dlike to, like, not hate myself
for eating a burger and, like, not be scared of black beans.
And then you were like, Here yougo. And then I'm

(23:59):
like, well,

Unknown (24:07):
all your energy is now in a focus, yeah, instead of,
instead of on the past, it's nowlooking forward like I got it. I
got this to do, I got this todo, and now you're living your
best life and and just fuckingkilling it, yeah, just killing
it. So if

Skylar Calico (24:26):
I could just, you know, like, hopefully, like, not
even hopefully, my mother willget out of my head because of
this. But, like, you know, if Icould just get her out of my
head, then I could actuallyfucking enjoy it. Great. That'd
be great, yeah.

Unknown (24:40):
Well, the thing is, is that something, sometimes your
mom never gets out of your head, yeah? But what it is, is guilt,
the guilt to be gone. How do youreact to what's going on inside?
Yeah? So, like, I actually did athing. I. Had to, like my

(25:01):
mother, latched on somewhere, somehow, and I've been carrying
and she passed away seven, eightyears ago, but I felt like I've
been carrying her this wholetime, and then I had to do a
session where I, like releasedher. I said, Hey, glad you have
loved living in my body, but nomore I'm done. I cannot carry
both of us anymore, and so Ireleased her to wherever she had

(25:27):
to go, but she was not welcometo stay in my body and just let
her go, let her rise.

Skylar Calico (25:34):
My song for that, I always have a song when I'm
trying to let things go, andit's a rent by big Frida. And if
you've ever heard it, you knowit's fucking great for that
shit, because it's literallyabout like you don't pay no
rent. Get the fuck out of mybrain. Get the fuck out of my
life. You ain't paying rent. I'myour landlord. I'm kicking you
out.

Unknown (25:54):
That's awesome. My Get the fuck out song was shake it
out by Florence in the machine.Yes, that was the one that I
listed. I lived

Skylar Calico (26:04):
in. I lived in Louisiana. A little swing along
when you know that my, my, my,get the out song is

Unknown (26:15):
that's all good, though. So awesome, alright.
Well, thank you for coming intoday, and always pleasure
having you here and keep meposted when you when you do your
surgery, and if you need to comein during that time, obviously
don't open.

Skylar Calico (26:29):
So, yeah, thank you. Thank you for tuning up my
brain. Oh. And

Unknown (26:34):
thank you for sharing your journey with others,
because for me, it shows otherpeople how their sessions go,
yeah. And because you're like,Well, what's it like to work
with you? Yeah,

Skylar Calico (26:44):
here you go. Like, yeah, it doesn't have to
be like, I was telling a tigerthe other day, you know? It
doesn't have to be crying. Itdoesn't have to be like, yeah,
you might shed a tear as you'reletting something go, but it's
more of a happy tear, yeah, youknow. Or like, you might be
crying laughing, but it's notokay. So tell me where
everything sucked in your life.

Unknown (27:05):
Yeah, and that, you know, that was the one thing
that when I started thisjourney, I didn't want to. I was
like, you know, people are like,Well, I've been in therapy for
like, 15 years. I'm like, wouldyou say that out loud again,
why? Yeah, why? What? Who's theslow learner? It's either your

(27:27):
therapist not picking up on yourshit, or it's you not doing the
work. Yeah, there's, there's,there's something wrong there,
if you have to be in therapy for15 years, and it's usually like,
why am

Skylar Calico (27:38):
I afraid that especially the same issue,
exactly like,
I, I'm a big believer everybodyshould be in therapy just to
learn, like, little like, conflict resolution stuff,
because I think that it's greatfor learning, yeah, life skills
like conflict resolution andlike that. But like, if you're
still, like, I'm still workingon this same issue, and it's
been 15 years, I'm like, You gotthree sessions, that's the max,

Unknown (28:01):
yeah, yeah. And that just blows my mind. When people,
they come to me and I'm justlike,

Skylar Calico (28:09):
I I mean, that's how I came to you. As I was
like, I'm having such a hardtime. And then now I have a
therapist that I absolutelylove, which I feel like was one
of those things that, like gotwelcomed into my life, because
she's been absolutely fabulous, you know, but because I had the
space cleared where I'm like, you know, I don't just have to
accept anyone I demand formyself, somebody who fits really

(28:33):
well, somebody who, like, Ireally mesh with setting

Unknown (28:35):
your boundaries and making sure they get you and
that they're Yeah, that that's,that's so much of it. But I came

Skylar Calico (28:42):
to you and I was like, Yeah, I've had some suck
ass therapists who literally, like, I can't you had like, six.
I had, oh, my God, I had one.I've now, I've had two
therapists in my entire life.I've had 16 or 17 therapists in
my entire life, but I've had twothat I actually liked. Couple of
them dismissed you. A couple ofthem dismissed me. Because,
like, I do have what'sconsidered extensive trauma, and

(29:04):
we've gotten into some of ithere, a lot of it, I'm kind of
like, ah, and someday I may getto that point, but for right
now, it kind of lives in a spacethat makes sense. So I'm not
fucking with it. Yeah, you know,we're not going to bring it out
if we don't have to, exactly,um, but I've had a lot of
therapists that have just beenlike, oh, well, you have too

(29:26):
much and I can't deal with that,or you're triggering for me. And
I'm like, Why the fuck are youdoing this? Then what? Like, you
need to seriously considerchanging your career, especially
when it comes to, like, sexualassault stuff. They're like, Oh,
I can't deal with anything thishas to do with sexual assault.
I'm like, well, then just don'tever take a female client, yeah?
I mean, and some male clientsjust straight up, be like,

(29:48):
sorry, I can't take you unlessyou're just running the mill.
Like, yeah, you've never beenthrough anything in your life.

Unknown (29:54):
Unbelievable. Yeah? But yeah, oh, well, yeah. What
happens if they find me? Theyfind me.

Skylar Calico (30:05):
The clients are the therapist,

Unknown (30:07):
the clients? Oh, okay, yeah, and I worked with one or
two therapists.

Skylar Calico (30:12):
I believe it my focus now. She loves she's like
hypnotherapy. She said it hasdefinitely progressed. My
Progress, even with her, bylike, leaps and bounds. Every
time I have a session with you,it's like, we're going, we're
fast forwarding nine months, youknow? And so then she can work
on because we're not having towork in these little Okay, your

(30:32):
brain just won't let go of thisthing. My brain's just letting
go. And she's like, Great, nowwe can get in there, yeah. And
so like, the two of you workingtogether has been fantastic,

Unknown (30:42):
awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome. Well, thank
you again for being here andthank you for tuning in to the
hilarious hypnotist Skylar partfour and four a and 4b because
we'll probably break this intotwo, Return

Skylar Calico (30:56):
of the Jedi and then electric bubble.

Unknown (31:02):
Awesome. Thank you for tuning in, and we'll catch you
next time bye. You.
