• Defenseman Deryk Engellandsigned a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.  Engelland could have become an unrestricted free agent July 1. He was selected from the Calgary Flames at the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft on June 21 and has 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 41 games.  Engelland, 35, has 99 points (25 goals, 74 assists) in 510 NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Flames and Golden Knights.  He is the third Golden Knights player who could have become an unrestricted free agent July 1 to sign a contract with Vegas. Defenseman Brayden McNabb signed a four-year, $10 million contract Nov. 30, and forward Jonatha
