Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
genuine. Issues.
Brought to you by the hypnotherapist, demanded by
celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
These recordings took place livefrom Evans Clinic in London's
world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
(00:31):
enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
Hi, it's Adam here. And this session is all about
losing weight, but using your intuition to do that.
And so many people are almost attached to the idea that they
(00:51):
have to follow someone else's guidance, someone else's
recipes, someone else's plans, someone else's strategy in order
to lose weight. But that has the presupposition
that they've lost the ability totrust themselves.
Now, here's the interesting thing.
When you think about thirst, nobody has to kind of count how
many glasses they're going to drink each day.
(01:13):
If you're thirsty, you. Drink and that.
Tends to be a good way of doing it.
Now different if you've set a. Challenge like. 75 hard where
you're going to have a gallon a day, then you might have some
kind of way of counting it but generally the way that most
people drink water is they drinkwhen they're thirsty and that's
actually a really good way of dealing it with food.
(01:34):
Now the problem is, is so much of modern society's foods are
less foods and more like drugs. They've got very addictive
ingredients in there, things like salt, sugar and white
flour. So refined carbohydrates are
very addictive and even sugar isone of those things that is acts
(01:55):
more like a drug biochemically. It's gives you lots of glycogen
very, very quickly. Your body's forced to have the
insulin and that's why sugar is easier to convert into fat than
other things. And salt is add added as a cheap
way to give flavour to things. But it was also quite addictive.
So this hypnosis session has twokey elements to it.
(02:15):
One is awakening the inner genius within the client that I
was working with. That ability to.
Trust their intuition and be guided into good choices.
But the second. Element is this idea that these
three things that are highly addictive and not very healthy
are three white poisons particularly.
Refined. Carbohydrates, which also.
(02:36):
Has an aversion. Technique which gets you
thinking about them in terms of like stodgy, gooey wallpaper
paste kind of test textures. And also that cravings for this
kind of thing is actually more like a bully inside your head.
And actually if you reward that bully, it's going to bully you
even more. And that's a good way of
thinking about cravings. Because.
(02:57):
If you feed the craving, you'll get more cravings, and if you
deprive the craving then you'll get less.
So it's knowing. What to do?
And this is designed to create defiance or a polarity response
in reaction. To those.
Particular cravings. So there's a bit going on here.
I think you'll benefit most if you have cravings.
(03:18):
If a large part of where you gain your weight is from foods
high in either sugar, refined carbohydrates like flours or
salt, it's basically ultra high processed foods, then you'll get
more benefit from this. But even if you don't.
And you? Just want to use lose weight.
Intuitively, I think you'll get some value from this session.
(03:38):
A lot of. Their suggestions, including the
strategy of five small meals a day that might be great for the
client that I was working with and not quite right for you.
So bear that in mind when you'relistening to this.
And if you do like the idea of working with me directly, there
will be a link in the description where you can
schedule a completely free consultation call to explore
working with me. For now though, find a quiet,
(03:59):
comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
(04:32):
you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
relaxation. And as you exhale, feel a
wonderful sense of release, as if any tension, stress, or
worries are starting to leave your body in your outward
(04:56):
breath, breathing in that relaxation and exhaling that
tension, eyelids feeling heavierand more relaxed, as if your
whole body is drifting deeper down.
And as you breathe in and breathe out, I want you to feel
(05:22):
that you are awakening. You're super conscious.
The inner genius, the part within that already knows what
is required and how to do it. And every now and then, that
(05:43):
part is either forgotten or tricked and not trusted in the
way that you've seen it be so powerful when it is trusted.
(06:04):
And as you breathe in and breathe out, I want you to feel
that what you're breathing in isexactly the resource required to
awaken your inner genius. And as you exhale, I want you to
feel that you are releasing propaganda, manipulation, those
(06:29):
beliefs that have been fed to you with all of those entities
that had an agenda, food companies, companies that
benefit from you feeling like you can't trust your own
judgement. The dieting industry that makes
(06:50):
people want to feel scarce, deprived, because they know that
facilitates this yo-yo of losingweight, gaining weight.
The whole industry of weight loss is based on people never
(07:12):
actually losing weight. So as you breathe out, just feel
that you're releasing all of that indoctrination things that
you were told there was never tobenefit you, but to benefit from
you breathing in, relaxation, exhaling tension and feeling
(07:37):
that you're drifting ever deeper, relaxed.
And with every breath, allow yourself to relax more deeply
than before, and maybe you can feel the muscles of your face
(07:58):
relax and soften, your shoulderssink, and your arms and legs are
just becoming heavy. Each exhale is releasing
tension, stress, and any old patterns that what if now is the
(08:18):
time that you're ready to finally let go.
And as you breathe in and breathe out, imagine now a
gentle wave of calmness spreading from the top of your
head all the way down to the tips of your toes.
(08:41):
And as this wave moves through your body, I wonder if you can
find yourself entering a comfortable, focused state, a
place where change happens easily and naturally.
(09:01):
And I want you to imagine a timewhen you really trusted your
inner genius. Maybe in a performance, maybe
just allowing your super conscious, your subconscious to
enter that flow state, handing the reins over and allowing it
(09:24):
to work it's magic. And as you imagine being back in
that situation, let's communicate directly with that
part to allow it to work it's magic in different areas of your
life. Things like what to eat, when to
(09:45):
eat, and how much to eat. And if that part, that inner
genius, is willing to assist in this area of your life, just let
me know by nodding your head. That's it, feeling deeper and
(10:10):
deeper, relaxed. And I want you to imagine what
it would feel like to step into an elevator that is taking you
down 100 floors and consider thefinal lowest floor, the deepest
(10:33):
part of your subconscious mind. And as I count downwards from
12:50 during this descent, you will feel deeper, relaxed and
that you are accessing A deeper part of your subconscious mind.
(10:55):
Counting down from 12:50 as you imagine pressing the button of
the bottom floor and 10 feeling the sensation of going down 9
deeper still 8 as if gravity itself is guiding you down
deeper down 76 more relaxed and more absorbed 5.
(11:22):
Maybe you can see what it would feel like to be halfway down to
the lowest floor, 4 drifting deeper, deeper down to so very
calm now, and one arriving now at that bottom level, the
perfect level for your mind to learn and change.
(11:50):
That's it. And as the doors open and you
leave the elevator, I want you to find yourself in a place
where you begin to awaken a new level of your inner genius.
(12:12):
You know you can access your inner genius with breathing or
being in a particular location doing complex work.
But there is another level to that inner genius.
And this part already knows whatis right for your body.
(12:35):
This is a part that knows exactly how much you need to eat
and when you do not need to eat at all.
And that part knows you do need protein, you do need
micronutrients like minerals andvitamins, and you need fiber.
(12:59):
But that part also knows that you don't need cheap energy, no
need for refined carbohydrates. And so in this state of
awareness, I want you to feel that that part begins to notice
(13:21):
in your everyday life. The three white poisons, sugar,
salt, and white flour. Your inner genius now sees them
for what they really are, addictive, nutritionally empty
(13:43):
and slow acting poisons. And you know they're poisons
because of how many people get sick or die each year from a
diet where they have too much ofthem.
And I wonder if you could see them now in your imagination,
(14:03):
where the foods look pale, lifeless, almost toxic.
And when you think of starchy refined carbs like breads, cakes
and biscuits, they have the thick, heavy texture of
wallpaper paste, particularly when they're being chewed.
(14:29):
Sticky, sluggish, clogging the system.
Imagine them slowing digestion, slowing metabolism and making
the body heavy and lethargic. And that inner genius, as well
(14:55):
as your conscious mind will accept the belief that the more
starchy carbs that are consumed, the more the body feels tired,
dulled and drained. And you're in.
A genius knows this truth and begins to guide you away from
(15:16):
those starchy carbs or things with hidden sugars and hidden
salts, guiding you towards good quality protein and high quality
vegetables. And so you naturally feel
empowered to choose those proteins and colourful
(15:39):
vegetables instead. And I want you to imagine seeing
a screen where you see yourself getting into a routine.
And I don't know if it will takea few days or a couple of weeks
where you hit your stride in that new routine.
(16:03):
But imagine watching yourself onthat screen where you're having
five meals and a protein shake counts as a meal and these five
meals is up to five times a day.Maybe a small egg whites and veg
(16:25):
for breakfast, a protein shake mid morning, something delicious
protein for lunch, maybe anothersmoothie or shake and something
else. But these small meals are
(16:46):
options but never an obligation. If your body tells you it needs
nourishment, have one of those small meals.
But if it doesn't, you just remind yourself you don't need
it right now. Because if your body needs more
(17:08):
protein, if it needs more vegetables, it will tell you
because you can trust that in a genius.
And sometimes, especially when you're less busy or with fewer
demands, I want you to imagine observing how that version of
(17:31):
you feels perfectly comfortable and content skipping a meal or
two on that day. Maybe you only have three small
meals because you're in a geniusnose, but not eating when food
(17:52):
is unnecessary is a powerful tool for health and weight loss.
But that's not the only thing. Your inner genius is a part
that's trying to help you, but there is another part that is
(18:12):
trying to control you. And I want you to think of the
part responsible for cravings. And imagine cravings for calves
appearing in front of you like abully.
Perhaps the voice that craves can even sound like someone that
(18:34):
you consider a bully. A pushy, selfish bully demanding
what it wants without caring foryour health, energy or
well-being. Just imagine what has been your
inner dialogue. Now externalise like you're
(18:56):
hearing it from the face of thatbully.
You need that bread, you want it, have it.
I want you to notice the demands, the pushiness, the
insistence, and notice how quickly this triggers your
(19:19):
natural defiance, powerful, positive stubbornness, that
refusal to give in, that refusesto reward such behaviour.
But if you were to give in, the bully is rewarded and they will
(19:42):
be even more insistent the next time.
But when you stand up to the bully, they lose that feeling of
entitlement. And I think you're maybe just
five or six times in a row from standing up to those cravings.
And then the cravings don't evenbother anymore because every
(20:09):
time the bully demands refined carbs, something sweet,
something starchy, something starchy.
You will feel stronger and more determined and more resolute in
saying no. The fact that it is demanded and
(20:32):
expected and entitled for you means absolutely not.
Because your health, your body, your energy in your life are
more important than satisfying this bully of cravings.
And every time you say no, you grow stronger.
(20:57):
Each refusal is a victory. Each refusal makes your body
healthier, your mind sharper, and your metabolism faster.
And then go back to that screen and imagine seeing yourself from
this day forward, where your inner genius awakens more and
(21:21):
more, and see how you find it easier to know exactly what to
eat and when to eat. See that version of you on that
screen, discovering that even just after a few weeks,
proteins, vegetables, and those shakes make your body feel
(21:45):
light, strong, and energized. See that you're no longer need
to fight against cravings because that bully no longer has
power over you. You've stood up to the bully and
won. See yourself free, strong,
(22:07):
guided by your inner genius. And every day that passes, see
yourself losing weight, gaining energy, and becoming healthier
and more vitalized. And then when you can see a
future version of you hitting your stride, getting into that
(22:30):
rhythm, establishing those habits, let me know by nodding
your head. And then step into the screen
and feel what it would feel likefor being your body.
Perhaps just a few weeks from now, you found the rhythm that
works for you. You refuse to give in to carb
(22:52):
cravings. You don't mind missing one of
those small meals if you don't need it.
And you notice the progress and you feel proud.
And when you hit that rhythm, each day gets easier than the
last. I want you to imagine awakening
(23:14):
all of those neural pathways that know exactly how to do
this. And then imagine what it would
be like from tomorrow morning. What you will have for
breakfast. Decide it intended in advance.
What you will have for mid morning only if you need it.
(23:37):
What you'll have for lunch, and also what you'll have later.
And I don't know whether you will prepare this food in
advance. Make sure you have the
ingredients, but know that everything powerful that happens
(23:59):
is preceded by a thought, an intention, or an echo of a
previous habit to begin with. While building these habits, be
intentional. But don't be surprised if a few
weeks from now you're doing all of this without any intention at
(24:24):
all. Because at that point, your
inner genius is now driving thatbus and it will know exactly
what you need to eat, when you need to eat, and how much you
need to eat. And then there's very little
that you need to do because the boss is being driven for you.
(24:50):
Before we leave this place, justimagine meeting that inner
genius and telling that part within you that you trust it,
that you will show it what to doto begin with, and then you
trust that it will do it for yougoing forwards.
(25:12):
And if your inner genius agrees, let me know by nodding your
head. That's it.
Give that inner genius a hug because you're now working as a
team, you with your super conscious guiding you to that
healthy, happy, confident future.
(25:34):
