James and Paula met at the Campus North, a (now closed) digital coworking space based in Newcastle, when James first founded Layers in 2016. Now 5 years old, Layers is growing with a team of 8 and serving clients internationally.

They both love their work and believe that anyone can be good at something with enough practice but to be truly great at something you need to love what you do.

They believe that having an end solution that looks great should be a given and functionality doesn’t need to be sacrificed for aesthetics. Their mantra is to work collaboratively with clients to deliver purpose-driven solutions, not just pretty pictures.
