My wife Ashley and I co-founded Outdoor Promise, a 501c3 nonprofit that prepares the next generation of outdoor leaders. Our programs focus on equitable access for youth, families, and individuals traditionally underrepresented in outdoor recreation. As our growing population becomes more urban, many people go about their lives without experiencing the beauty and awe of the natural world.
We believe in the power of an engaged and informed community that works together to protect the environment, starting with our backyards. Our hope is to help city people become more outdoorsy!
With a combination of conservation education, shared stories of adventure, service learning projects, community engagement, and outdoor exploration we help transform city residents into more engaged citizens.
