With 7% less viewership than last year, this year's 97th Oscar Awards ceremonies highlight the growing divide between Hollywood and the rest of America. This year's awards highlighted the silence of elites against antisemitism as well as their silence on condemning Hamas in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This year, The Brutalist and No Other Land perfectly highlight the unwillingness of Hollywood to speak out against the brutality against Jews. Broadly, this year's ceremony highlights Hollywood's ideological possession and the Academy's anti-West agenda. The Academy has thrown out meritocracy for DEI. It seeks to use art not for the sake of art but to push far-left critical theory and political propaganda in a great display of hypocrisy and privilege.
