second Tuesday in August Wednesdays right now, the second the second Tuesday in August,

mostly because he doesn't want to behere with us, Campden, That's
what it is. Uh, Thesecond Tuesday in August at two o'clock is
supposed to be the worst time ofthe year because it's when the when we're
the farthest removed from the weekend daysoff any kind of holiday or anything like
that, like holidays. I thinkthe holidays coming up, and I was

like, oh no, from midSeptember, there's just kind of one and
then yeah November. Yeah, wehaven't had anything since the fourth of July
and we want again until Labour Day. But yeah, I'm interested to know

with you and that'll be part forthe just like breakfast is the worst meal

dinner and lunch, and breakfast stoleit, which is fine, steak and
exits because you can have a breakfastfor dinner. But why would you do

that? But because you can't affordthe steak every night you're eating steak every
night. No, no, no, no, you don't have to have
steak. But I'm just saying that. I'm sh for you to throw out
there. Example, Yeah, whowould want to have breakfast for dinner when

do it right, you can havesteak on a budget every night. No,

To your point, you can't havecereal every morning. I mean you,
cereal every morning is pretty inexpensive incomparison to It's also dumb and grosses.
Cereal a good snack unless you're talkingabout hot cere. I do love

all Star Wars. We have beentraining in our corners. We've been doing
push ups and getting ready to comeout swinging. Yeah. So you asked
me off air about what happened tomy eyeball? Yeah, get cut started
scratching it out when I was watchingepisode eight. No, actually, what
so, LEVI he's cutting like atthe least four teeth right now. Yeah.

So he's waking up, like hegoes to bed at like seven thirty.
Well, he wakes up at midnightand then you know, we give
him a bottle then when normally he'sup like four thirty after that. So
I went and I take the fourthirty feeting and then I get ready to
go to the gym since we're gonnahave ABS by next Christmas Christmas twenty twenty
four. So when when I broughthim, like I gave him the bottle,

it's Saturday. I'm not going tobring him to oh sorry, no,
no, no, this is Monday. So I'm not going to take
him to uh, you know,to the gym with me. But I'm
also not gonna put him back inbed. I'm gonna go to the gym.
A little later, so we wehang out in the bed with mom,
what happened your eye? And he'ssaying he's crawling over. He's crawling

over to Mom and he's in likethe little sleep sex, so he's not
moving around real well. His legsare a little stuck, and so he
grabbed mom's face and he's scratched hismom on the eyelid, and then she
was like, oh honey, andthen he turns because mom, mom exclaimed,
and then he's scratched Dad or juston the eyeball, just one right,

yeah, and he got both ofus on our Now you can tell
which side of the bed we sleepon because he got us both on the
inside eye. So it's her lefteye and my right eye that both got.
Riz can be a verb. Ithink maybe Dad was risen, no
go ahead. He got me inthe eyeball and so my eyes read.

My favorite screw when it comes tobuilding things is the is the flathead screw.
Yeah, it's it's the flathead.It's the flat heead screw that is
missing the what is it the northwesternand southeast parts of the screw so that

you can screw it in. Butonce it's screwed in, you can't unscrew
it because there's nothing for it tocatch on. You see this a lot,
uh in bathrooms, like it's mostoften what's used for the urnal partitions.
If you ever look at those screws, they're screwed in in such a
way that if you were to tryto unscrew it, what would happen is

that's your screw head would just popout. Yep, that's that's my favorite.
That's very specific, so pretty specific. So use an impact roll.

be praised. What worked you did? You painted the outside of a boys

We we like cleaned up an overgrownarea behind the boys and Girls club.
Oh that's cool. You get touse a bushog? Yeah? What kind

is a fun apparatus to get touse. Is that's like designed to just

like chop everything. That looks almostlike a tiller, but the instead of
it having like the till thing,the front of it looks a lot more
like the business end of a woodchipper. And you just got these two
handles and you go wa and itliterally stroys everything in its best everything in

two or three hundred kids. We'dstay in a middle school that much,

schools in the in the nineties.They were in the athletic rooms. It
was the as we lovingly called them, to see what the poles showers because

there was like one pole right andlike oh a budget heads up top and
you'd have to push the button andall that. So we change the World

shower taker sharing the soap and adirty razor dropped the soap and you're in

shower. I haven't heard that.We we had hand motions. I haven't

and they're like if you know,you know, and you kind of look

uh, he's in a couple ofthings in Marvel. He's a night He's
also Apocalypse from X Men Apocalypse.Yeah, yeah, he is Poe Dammeron
and that movie Star Wars. Ohyeah, Moon was pretty cool. I
like the first the first half ofthe season. Yeah, but we're digressing.
Yeah yeah yeah, uh po Dameron, it's also in in this movie,

So what do you think about it? And by the way, when
I was watching it real quick,I took notes, like you did nice?
So here you go on a scalebecause Camden loves these morbid scales.
So we talked about this uncle Dan. Dan was outside on a phone call
that made him grumpy, and whilehe was out there doing that, Camden
talked to me and he was like, listen, I don't got to go

scale, on a scale of zto ten roasted porges. What do you

We have real favorite movie or usinga standard scale. It's a standard.
Okay, So this for you rateswith the Phantom Menace. Sure,
yeah, yeah, because that wasyour only other stand once again proving very

so what what? What puts youthere? Yeah? Talk to us about
your thoughts on what made it toStar Wars? What are some good things
that you liked about it? Ihad a question very early on in the
movie, and then that question gotanswered yeah, yeah, you, which
was a prediction that came to reallyfast. You cleared. So I wrote,

how professional amateur? What happens ifa ship hits something going light speed.
Oh yeah, and then later inthe movie a ship hits something going
light speed, So that is actuallyone of my favorite moments. Oh everything
leading up to it, but whenit goes light speed and that that cut,
I don't even know how they didit because it's so different from anything
I've ever seen Star Wars, wherethey're it's a it almost like time pauses

and you see the impact but ithasn't really done anything yet, and then
it catches up. That's such acool scene. There's several scenes in this
movie that I think are beautiful.This is the genius of Ryan Johnson,
sure, and in this cinematography,not directing for sure, not storytelling.
I think Knives Out is pretty good. So was Glass Onion, which were

both his. They're they're pretty fantastic. That was pretty good. I don't
know. I didn't see Glass Onion. It's it's essentially like the sequel to
Two Knives Out. Yeah, Iknow I saw it, but I was
fell asleep because you watched it likeafter what like four thirty or five?
Yeah. Yeah, I don't lastvery long with movies. Now two hours
I'm out. No, Yeah,Danley's got a window between eleven am and

four pm where he can watch haveI literally have sleep mode that if there's

the film did you like? Idid not like Purple Hair Lady either,

outside of the movie. I don'tlike the actress as much. I've,
of course loved Jurassic Park. That'snot what we're talking about. But I

droids, which would have been theU the Fighter, the space Fighters and
the original or I say in theoriginal and the prequel trilogy, they would
have been the space Fighters. Theywere not ever used to my knowledge,
as as kamakazis. And if youwere going to do that, that seems

don't know that'd be super effective inspace, especially with the shields, because
a lot of them would probably justblow up on the shields because they weren't

have a day called V Day,which is Victory Day, where they killed
all the heroes like Captain America's dead, Tony Stark's dead. Instead of killing
the Hulk, what they did isthey threw him into an exploding nuclear reactor
and made him immortal. And crazy. So anyway, so all this stuff

is happening, well, you pickup the story thirty years after that's happened,
and all of the characters are incrediblyjaded. They're deeply disturbed by the
effects of the deaths of all oftheir friends. They're not the people that
they once were, and each oneof them is kind of in a different
place. Like Hawkeye Wolverine just likewanders the world, like he hasn't talked

to anybody in thirty years because hesurvives. Hawkeye is bloodthirsty black widow,
and you don't really know if it'sYelena or Natasha is partially and hiding,
maybe partially fighting and just but she'sgetting older, she's aging for some reason.
And so there's there's a lot ofthings going on. But the characters

changed a lot over that time becausethe traumatic things that they went through.
I think with Luke, everything happenedso quick and I know how quickly I
have become jaded four things and justwant nothing to do with people that were
very important or influential in certain partsof my life, whether because of my

mistakes or theirs that I was ableto relate a lot more to Luke's character
and this one than I was thewhiny teenager. I was never allowed to
be the whiny teenager. But theguy who's like, screw it, I
don't want any part of it.Like I screwed a bunch of stuff up,
but I can't fix it, soleave me alone. I get that
because I've been there at different pointsin my life. I get that.

Yeah, that's that's why I likethis. I just don't like it portrayal
of him, you know, becauseLeia was really the if we're being honest,
La was always the one who hadthe plan and was the brains of

the horses and they go back andthey get on the ship and they get
captured and then they didn't do anything. Yeah, I mean, what happens
is that they you use two charactersthat didn't add very many plot points to
kill FAsMA. Yeah, which likelywould have happened anyway, And she just

might have been in a different locationand so and that's a in my opinion,
that's a wasted character. And thenI wrote down here when what the
speeders are called? When they're drivingin, he's trying to hit the big
machine that's trying to blow up theshield. Yeah right, he decides he's
going to do a suicide mission,right, and Rose comes out of nowhere
and saves them. I put Rosesaved Finn from the suicide mission to make

sure neither one of them has anythingto do this whole movie. It should
be it should just be stated thatthe actress that played Rose did a phenomenal
job with the part she was given. Sure, I don't, I don't
have anything to say. I justpersonally, I just think that that's an
important thing to say. Because thestore we've talked so or we haven't really

talked. We've alluded to how toxicthe star wars she is great. Yeah,
her her portrayal of She's got alot of heat im ed best,
He's got a lot of heat fortheir portrayal. That's not what I'm talking
about. No, I don't liketo This was a bad writing decision to
have them in there. I thinkthey could have done something great if they

had been given something to do,and I don't know what. And this
is the the thing with what happensin episode nine is you could have done

that. I really enjoyed parts ofit. But Ben Swollow was so you
know what I'm talking about when shehas that connection with Kylo, he takes
he's got his shirt off and hispants are like way up above his navel.

off, and he'll have these pantsthat are like way up to the bottom

that stuff. I do think thethe reuniting Luke with Chewie was an interesting

just mean because the actor has passedto Peter Mayhew. Yeah, it feels

like a different character because of MarkHamill. And I do think that this
is part of the reason that theportrayal of Luke is so weird, and
him and John Boyega have come outin the years since this movie was made

and have made a lot of noiseabout their dislike of how their characters have
been used were used specifically in thismovie and throughout the series. Okay,
I think part of the performance issuesthat Luke's character has have to do with

Mark Hamill still acting like a nineteenyear old when it came to this this
character and what he thought it itshould be and what it should do.
Like Thissen, mark Hamill thinks he'sa Harrison Ford. Yeah. Yeah.
And and there are some things thatlike when you know, when Han Solo

dies, I think really add tothe series. And Luke's portrayal as a
as a bitter old man really doesseem to match where Mark Hamill was at
this point in life. And soI felt like, oh, you know
what, this shouldn't be so difficultfor him to pull off. But it
seems like it was really difficult forhim to pull off because he was a
bitter old man that wanted to doanything but play himself. It's like,

what, why not lean into thatinstead of just just criticize? I like
that. Yeah, so if hehad gone real grumpy and I'm tired of
training people that, you know,because he had turned his he had turned
his back on the Force, whichseems stupid. I don't get that decision.

I don't know. No, yeah, maybe this part is compelling because of
that that it's such an it feelslike a little bit of a betrayal of
the character. Yeah you know thatI've loved for so long that No,

You've seen it redeem your father beforehe died. Like, why are you

student betray him and kill all ofthis, like that's horrifying, But but
also like he started that reaction rightbecause he let he let himself be overcome

really odd. But I liken thisa lot to people that like fall away

and then come back to church,because you've you've got a certain group of
people that like they've seen God dothings in their lives. They've seen God,
you know, help him out orwhatever, but like one thing happens
or doesn't go their way or whator whatnot, and they haven't actually practically
walked through what it means like toto suffer well at any point in life.

And and so because of that,they you know, I hate all
church or you know all churches blahblah blah, or you know, I
carry this hurt with me or YadAYadA. You know, it's I was
the one that made mistakes and Ishould never re engage because I'm causing pain
to other people. Whatever that lookslike, right, It's it's this selfish
part of our nature that drives usaway. And and I do think that
there is something about Luke's story andhe's not interested in this. He's telling

other people that they need to endsagain, and then at the end he
kind of comes back around and becomesthe you know, sort of the reluctant
hero. I am curious. Whatdid you think of that last lightsaber battle
between Luke and Kilo where it wasLuke's force projection? You know, what

such a great scene up until hewas a forced ghost, which is still

you know, right, yeah,you know what's going on, and it's
that your parents hold you for drinkingmoney. They're just junk traders there.
Nobody. Your parents are nobody?Remember that? Yeah? What are your
thoughts some additional context, Like wetalked about, we were all hoping leading
up to this, that she wasa skywalker, right or somebody of important,

and turns out that she, ifher parents are nobody, was she
and nobody? Which is I thinkthe question that we were left with at
the end of this movie. Ithink she is definitely a nobody. I
love the idea that she's nobody forsure. I love nobodies do great things.
I love the potential that's there yeawhen when she's nobody all right,

but it is a devastating blow toher in that moment when she kind of
admits to herself that's that's why shedidn't want to leave that one planet,
ye because she was waiting from thecome back and we're gonna be yeah yeah
jack Wu. These people of importthat uh have something to offer her and
it turns out, according to themNerp, that they don't wompomp uh.

I hated her character all the wayup until when she did that,
and then it made me think abouther a little bit more. I was

a pure leadership perspective, the differencebetween Poe and Han is that Han was

never the guy that they all reliedon. Han was the guy that got

them and one of the most pivotalmoments. And so like, looking back
at it, I thought about that, and then when I went for the
second watch, I would be like, man, if I was like if
if this is a guy that wesent out with this mission like shoes,

benched him, and she was right, yeah, like you just cost hundreds
of lives and and maybe just lostus Like yeah, no, sorry,
He's like, well, I don'tbelieve in your you know when he comes
back and is fighting all of thosethings that have been like shoot him.
