Hi mamas, I'm still coming at you during the COV19 pandemic and I've had a lot of mamas reach out and say what they actually need are podcast episodes about things that aren't related to the virus. Informative, fun, creative, thoughtful episodes, that can help us retain a semblance of normalcy during stressful times. There are tons of mamas out there who could still use support and advice on some of the tougher or taboo subjects of motherhood and today we are going to talk about a really important one-pelvic floor health.

Painful sex, leaking, heaviness. The are all considered normal by society, but are actually a sign of damage to new mothers pelvic floors. Today's renowned guest, and founder of the Vagina Whisperer, Sara Reardon is the owner of NOLA Pelvic Health in New Orleans. This is an online resource for pelvic health education and wellness sessions to help individuals worldwide. As a doctor of physical therapy she says that moms need to have more support in this arena postpartum.

  • How Sara is currently dealing with this social isolation at home with her littles

  • Authenticity in motherhood and how to articulate our truth

  • Why motherhood is constantly a juggle and there is never a time where we have it all figured out

  • Why Sara was passionate about working in pelvic floor physical therapy

  • Common complaints of new mothers include: pain during sex, leaking and heaviness postpartum

  • Why our knowledge of the pelvic floor can help inform our births

  • The implications of pain and discomfort postpartum

  • How pelvic floor issues can affect our confidence as moms

  • Entrepreneurship and marrying our lives and passions

  • What being a soul mamma means to her

Mamas! How are you holding up? I am holding an IG LIVE this Friday April 3rd at lunchtime to talk about creative ideas for moms with social isolation measures in place during these challenging times.

We will talk about creative ideas for being home with littles and kids of all ages. We will talk about self care and how we will approach that now that we are more insular. We will also discuss wellness practices like meditation, journaling, reading etc. during this time as well as staying healthy mentally and physically. Come join me! @soulmammaspodcast.
