I'm taking a break this week, but the show must go on! This week, I'm airing an interview I did with Cindy Rodriguez of the Fierce Entrepreneur. Here, I talk about going full time in your business. Listen and enjoy!

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • Why is it challenging to have an online business? You can't just send people to a sales page. There has to be a conversation first. Depending on how good you are at closing your discovery calls, you may need four to 10 discovery calls booked in a week. Aside from that, everyone needs to see your stuff. You may also need to offer free consultations.
  • Why should you niche down? There's a lot of truth to the saying, "If you're talking to everyone, you're talking to no one." Getting laser-focused on your ideal customers will allow you to zero in on their needs and wants and make your conversation with them so personal that it will seem like you're talking to just one person.
  • When should you quit your job? Your business should be making a lot more than $30,000 a year, otherwise, you shouldn't submit that resignation letter just yet. There's so much you have to do with that money such as taxes and investing it back to your business. If your business' revenue is only $30,000, you'll only be pocketing $12,000 to $15,000 of that money.
  • If things don't go as planned in your business, should you go back to your job? It may be a good idea. When you do that, it doesn't mean that you've given up. It just means that you're smart enough to recognize that you may have quit your job too soon and that you have to work to support your business.
  • How do you invest wisely in your business? Don't buy fancy new things and expensive equipment just to compete with well-established businesses. It's okay to use free stuff, but it would take a long time for you to build your business if you depend on them. Spend a little money to support you and your business.
  • Why should you do webinars? It allows you to extend your reach so you can help more people.
