PC Ernest Thompson was possibly the only policeman to possibly see and even come close to apprehending 'Jack The Ripper', however years later, little did he know that he would be cut down in the street dealing with a rowdy group.

Despite colleagues being close by, a scuffle turned into a life and death situation, however tragically Ernest was not to see the morning sun rising.
