We who have received Jesus have been adopted into God's family. We are sons, daughters and heirs of the Most High God. God has given us a spiritual inheritance and He wants us to walk in it. Jesus told us in John 10:10, "It is the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come to give you life, and life more abundantly."
"Becasue you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir," Galatians 4:-6-7.
