God cannot lie. The Bible tells us He is not a man that He should lie nor a son of man that He should change His mind. All of us have lied but God has never lied. In writing to the Romans, the apostle Paul explains to both the Jews and Gentile Christians in Rome, that just because many of the Jews failed to obey God's Word, it does not nullify God's faithfulness and the truth of His Word.
"What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” Romans 3:3-4 NIV"
