Many of us live in urban environments which are inherently more stressful than living on a farm or in nature. Much of that stress, though, is created by lack of sleep and not actively seeking solutions for good nutrients.  Then stress causes mounting medical problems and down the rabbit hole goes our health.  

Sleep doesn’t cost you anything (all you have to do is put down that phone.)  Mushrooms boost the immune system (and can be bought at the 99 cents store), and meditation, even in a hectic environment, can simply be sitting next to a plant, under a tree or having a small herb garden in your window sill.  These tips are just a few of the valuable insights provided by primary care and integrative physician Dr. Daniela Connelly.

Originally from Ecuador, Dr. Connelly moved to the US for her masters in public health which led her to South Africa working on the impact of HIV on health care workers.  After four years there and four kids in tow, her family settled down on a farm in New England. 

Sometimes thought of as a kooky doctor who could be known to give a recipe for overnight oats versus a statin, Dr. Connelly  untangles the small elements that can reduce stress and help you become healthier faster. She shares her valuable wisdom at a time when we are suffering a rise in fatigue and pain under the continual fear and discussion of a global pandemic.
