(01:43):
birthday coming up here in just a couple moments. Today,
August 28th, is Crackers Over the Keyboard Day.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
I guess when you're getting crumbs on the keyboard.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:54):
You have to use that duster.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
I was too old for this, but today's Power Rangers Day. Nice. Yeah.
You were a Power Rangers guy? Go Power Rangers, dude.
You had to be too old for Power Rangers. It
was constantly on television. Of course. And the Pink Ranger.
She was super hot. Kim? Yeah. Bluey is constantly on television,
I'm sure. I've never seen that. It was like. People
(02:18):
my age.
Speaker 7 (02:19):
I mean, it premiered in 93 to 95. Like the hot.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Chicks and stuff. When did you graduate high school?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
98.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
98. Yeah. You're too old for Power Rangers.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:30):
It started in 93.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
What year did you.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Graduate, Woody? 95.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah. Because I remember my stepbrother, he was like a
little kid and way into Power Rangers. And I was
like out of high school when he was like watching
that stuff. In 93, I was in junior high.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (02:44):
I was watching it too, though. And I was like five.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
Five to eight.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
You're way younger than men. Yeah, but it was like older.
It wasn't like little kids.
Speaker 8 (02:55):
But that's my point is that I was a little
kid watching it and everyone I knew did.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Power Rangers, Pogs. Yeah. I don't really remember what those were.
Because that was kind of the same time, right? Those
little circle things? I think Pogs were a little bit before. Yeah,
because my brother was into that stuff too.
Speaker 9 (03:09):
Really?
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah. I keep forgetting you had a brother?
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, well, stepbrother. Okay. I know you have two sisters.
You never lived with your brother? No, because I was
15 when he was born. Right. And he lived with
my dad and my stepmom. Right.
Speaker 7 (03:24):
It's like a different generation.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, their child, and then we didn't live together. So
I just saw him recently. Yeah. Which was great.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
For the first time in a long time.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Today is National Bowtie Day. Never trust a person in
a bowtie. It's National Cherry Turnover Day today.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
Oh.
Speaker 8 (03:39):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah. And it was today, medicine 1907 of this day
in history. I know how much you love these.
Speaker 8 (03:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Two Seattle teenagers, Jim and Claude, they founded a local
delivery company called the American Messenger Service. And they began
their business with two bikes and six friends. And that
business we know today as the United Parcel Service, UPS.
Speaker 7 (04:01):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
They started two Seattle teenagers in 1907. It was today
in 1963.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
That Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous I Have
a Dream speech.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
In front of a couple hundred thousand people in Washington, D.C.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Let's see. What do you think about this? There's a trailer.
for the new netflix competition show called wonka.
Speaker 7 (04:26):
I'm very interested yes okay.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
So they did it seems to be a pretty good
job yeah the set at recreating like all this stuff
for like the the chocolate.
Speaker 7 (04:36):
Factory yeah it's like our dream to be in there
right oh.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah like if you ever watch the like the movie
with gene wilder that's the dream the johnny depp one
i thought was nobody cares about that Okay, but so
I'm going to play, again, a little part of the
trailer for this new Netflix competition show. Now, the competition
is they're playing for money, not for a chocolate factory.
Speaker 7 (04:54):
Not for candy.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
But the trailer uses Gene Wilder's voice recreated by AI.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Oh, no.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
And it gives a peek at the contestants on the
recreated sets from the movie. There's even like a challenge
in there with lickable wallpaper. Oh, hell yeah. Yeah, here's
a little clip of the.
Speaker 10 (05:14):
A whole new generation of golden ticket holders will compete
against each other in my factory for.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
A lifetime supply of money.
Speaker 8 (05:24):
Wonka has his fun, but he also has his dark side.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
You will test my factory. It's like a little wallpaper.
So my first question was, I was wondering, man, like,
Does Gene Wilder, is his estate cool with them using
this AI? And so I'm like, it's Netflix. They must
have ran it through somebody.
Speaker 11 (05:42):
Well, that would have to be through the Actors Union
and they would have to. So, yeah, his estate would
have had to sign off on it.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah. So like because Gene Wilder, when I watched interviews
with him, I thought he was a fascinating guy. I
thought he was a pretty interesting dude. And he seemed
like the kind of guy who would not be for that.
Speaker 12 (05:57):
Right.
Speaker 8 (05:57):
Right.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
Yeah, maybe not. But as somebody, you know, as a consumer,
it's a thousand times more magical hearing his voice than
something like Nick Lachey or something stupid.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I agree with you. I'm saying, but like you're... I'm
not saying Gene Wilder is one of those guys like,
I prefer the stage type of people. Yeah, is he
from the theater or something? Like some dork like that? No,
he was a very thoughtful guy. He seemed to be
very intentional with the roles that he took. And I
don't know if like this, you know, like I would
have been for him. Like I'm dead. Yeah, I'm dead.
And you can recreate my voice. But his wife, Karen B. Wilder,
(06:29):
that's where I was going. His estate. They approved.
Speaker 7 (06:32):
There you go. I'm sure it wasn't free.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Said that the estate is delighted that the series celebrates
the warmth and imagination Gene brought to Willy Wonka and
introduces it to a new generation. I'm delighted. They're giving
me money.
Speaker 8 (06:45):
I mean, he was extremely thoughtful with his character for
Willy Wonka. So I think that's probably why they would
say yes, because it continues to be him and the
thoughtfulness that he put into that.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah, the nine-episode series premieres on September 23rd. They're on Netflix.
With no children.
Speaker 7 (07:01):
Why didn't you get in on this?
Speaker 2 (07:03):
I really do need to be applying for more stuff
like this.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, what the hell?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
I haven't been on anything since Beast Games.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
No.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
The problem is I'm at this damn show all day
during the week, and I gotta... Okay. Here's what you need.
You guys are due to let me be free, and
then I'll... You're here the longest.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Seabass.
Speaker 11 (07:16):
I'm like the neighborhood cat. I'll show up when I've
got something for you. Otherwise, you're just like, Seabass, he's
out doing his thing.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I know. He's out on a site. We try to do...
He's so restricted. To what he can and can't do
around here.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
He's really handcuffed.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Guys, I need to leave for three weeks to go
to a Wonka show.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah. Well, we let you for what? How long to
go to that? Two weeks for that. That movie filming.
I was checking in periodically.
Speaker 12 (07:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, because you still had to, quote, work. And we
had to have you do something to make it so
you're still working. We had high-pitched Eric. Oh, that's right. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
I wonder if Gene Wilder was still alive when they
had the Willy Wonka slot machines, because I don't know
how long those.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Have been out. He was dead in 2016. Oh, so
he probably was.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Yeah, was his voice on those?
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Well, I mean, it's like movie clips.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
His face was on them.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Faces everywhere.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, that Pure Imagination song. All right, here's something that
sounds kind of gay. That will freeze you in your tracks, right, Greg?
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Well, you are so into Willy Wonka.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I wouldn't say I'm so into it. I like the movie.
I wouldn't even put it as a top 10 movie
of all time. I like it.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
I guess I think you're way into something when you
memorize stuff. You have a good memory.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Well, because I've seen it a billion times.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
And that means you're into it.
Speaker 7 (08:23):
But when you were little and you watched the tunnel part,
did you freak out?
Speaker 2 (08:27):
I hated that. I thought that was scary. I called
it the weird part. And we would fast forward through
the weird part.
Speaker 7 (08:35):
Oh, I always fast forwarded through Cheer Up, Charlie.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
You know what?
Speaker 8 (08:38):
I used to, too, and now I love Cheer Up
Charlie when I watch.
Speaker 7 (08:44):
It.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
It's a really nice song. 877-44-WOODY. Friday check-in. Send those
on the text over to 22987. We've got some birthdays.

He's 70 years old. Menace, Honey Boo Boo. What? Alana's birthday.
She's 21 years old.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
She's in nursing school.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Yeah, she is. And today is Daniel Stern's birthday. Oh,
love him. He was Joe Pesci's bumbling partner in the
Home Alone movies. He was the voice, the adult voice
of Kevin Arnold, the narrator for The Wonder Years. Guess
how old he is today, Greg. Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
69?
Speaker 2 (09:56):
He's 69. What? Yep. And today's porno birthday is Kimberly Kane.
And today's birthday girl, she has spent more time on
her knees than a carpet installer. 959 fine films, including
blue collar lesbians. Nice. She was in My Ass is Haunted,
Volume 1. It's a Halloween.
Speaker 7 (10:18):
I love a spooky porno.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
She was in Dashing Through the Hoe. Sounds like a
Christmas film. Seasonal.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
So festive.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
She was in Frumpy Wife, Transformed into an Anal Whore.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Good.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Trolling for Trouser Trout, Volume 1. She was in Diary
of a Face-Sitter. And who can forget her unforgettable role
in Butt Plug Lunchable?
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Lunchable?
Speaker 2 (10:42):
What the hell? That's Kimberly Kane. 43 years old today.
And at your porno birthday... And your celebrity birthdays here
on The Woody Show. We are into another new hour. Woody, Greg, Manis. Hi.
(11:02):
And there's Gina Grant.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
She's got the trending news headlines.
Speaker 7 (11:06):
The Lindsay Clancy murder trial is officially in the hands
of the jury now. Closing arguments. Yeah. Wrapped up yesterday.
Jurors are now deciding whether Clancy was legally responsible when
she killed her three young children or whether postpartum mental
illness left her unable to understand what she was doing.
Prosecutors say Clancy knew exactly what she was doing and
planned the killings. But of course, her defense says she
(11:27):
was suffering from psychosis.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
They have a bunch of, I guess, digital evidence. They
claim this digital evidence that she absolutely knew what she
was doing.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Like planning.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, she was planning the whole thing. We did get
an after hours voicemail. This case has everybody up in arms. Oh, dude.
I mean, one way or the other.
Speaker 7 (11:44):
Wearing your pink shirts and screaming.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
It certainly created a lot of conversation around the whole topic.
Speaker 9 (11:50):
Hi, Woody.
Speaker 13 (11:51):
So I am calling because I was listening to the
Tuesday podcast and I was hearing the Lindsay Clancy stuff.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
And yeah.
Speaker 13 (11:57):
I wanted to share a little bit of context because
I could tell no one in the room really knew
all the details. And I'm not making a defense for her.
I'm not saying that what she did was okay in
any way, shape or form. But something important to note
is that she was on like over a dozen medications
and one of her psychiatrists that was on the stand
(12:21):
admitted to not having checked any of her medical records
or her pharmaceutical history prior to just giving her more.
And if you've ever been on an SSRI, every psychiatrist
I've had has said to me that if there's any
like suicidal thoughts to be very aware and careful. So
(12:41):
that automatically like creates a bigger issue, especially when you're
on multiple medications. Again, I'm not defending anything that she did.
I do think that she killed her kids, but I
do think there's so many extenuating circumstances and that's why
people are supporting her. Don't support the cheering though.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Okay. So, okay. Granted, When you say, I believe she
killed her kids, that's it. There's no but.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
The rest is irrelevant.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
The rest to me is irrelevant. Completely irrelevant.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
And she actually brought up something that I never thought
about before. And when you hear in these commercials, like,
if you're having suicidal thoughts, what about homicidal thoughts? Because
she killed three other people.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
And one of the sticking points is apparently that she
only had these auditory hallucinations at the time of the murders.
It wasn't like she had been suffering them for months. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 7 (13:31):
And like you said before, and I appreciate it, actually,
just because I think it's probably very true that like
people do have like crushing postpartum depression. It could lead
to crazy stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (13:42):
So exactly.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
I have sympathy, empathy, whatever for people who are going
through those kind of things, any kind of mental thing.
I have complete empathy. I do. Until you kill somebody
or until you're so like and at that point now
you are a murderer.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
You've murdered these these kids. And so you should pay
the price for that.
Speaker 14 (14:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Regardless of why you did it.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (14:05):
I have a question on this, too, though, in terms
of talking about suicidal thoughts with medications and stuff like that.
Let's say somebody is on a couple of medications. The
doctor screws up or they say, you know. This is
what can happen. And the person ends up killing themselves
while they're on this medication. Is the doctor responsible in
that case? Does the family end up suing the doctor
for the medication that this.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Person was on? I'm sure it's been tried.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I'm sure.
Speaker 7 (14:28):
But it also sounds like the doctor covered their ass.
If they say this can happen, you have to be careful.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Right.
Speaker 8 (14:33):
So I guess that's my point is like, If you
can't sue if someone commits suicide when on this medication,
then they would still be guilty if they commit homicide
on medication.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
I don't know if that's true that you can't. You
probably could. I'm sure people probably... Try it. I'm just
not familiar with anything.
Speaker 8 (14:49):
So again, if they are able to, though, then you
would be able to fight for the same thing for a.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Homicide, I would think.
Speaker 9 (14:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Either way, stop it with the pink shirts and the
trying to excuse her behavior and what she did for
whatever the reason was.
Speaker 7 (15:01):
And these weren't kids anyway. They were vases, as we.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Heard about the other day. Yeah, that's what somebody said. Like,
you got to look at it as if they're like
a vase, an expensive vase and a. In a museum,
you wouldn't go in there if you had epilepsy. No,
it was if you.
Speaker 7 (15:12):
Have epilepsy, you knock over the vase.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
It's not your fault.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Whoops, you have epilepsy. Yeah. Don't go in the museum. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:18):
Well, the death toll from that insane flooding in Nepal
and Tibet keeps climbing. More than 552 people have been
killed and more than 1,500 are still missing after a
glacier collapse triggered gigantic floods. 90 Americans are reportedly still
unaccounted for, although the State Department says they're working to
figure out that exact number. Rescue crews keep searching through
(15:39):
the areas that were completely wiped out, and with more
than 1,000 people still missing, we think those numbers are
going to get worse. And again, I mean, the video
is very upsetting, but if you check it out, it's unbelievable.
It's unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
I've never seen anything like it. It looked like that
stuff was barely standing to begin with.
Speaker 7 (15:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, I saw a lot of the before pictures, and
it's like, man, it looks like a stilt house on
top of kind of leaning over a river or something.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
And yet some of them were still there. well-built that
the people were staying in it on the roof and
they survived.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
A lot of that stuff looked like it would have
no chance in a breeze. Not much that was going
to be able to be done. The landslide, it was
such a perfect storm. Going into a lake and then
that lake just pushing over. It was insane. Horrible. It's
like that quarter machine where you drop a quarter in
and it's like a big pile of quarters and you're
(16:28):
just waiting for... You know, if you hit it just right, man,
a bunch of quarters fall down into the prize.
Speaker 7 (16:33):
You're just praying for one little tremor at the right moment.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Yeah, it's just like you just hit it that right spot, man.
Speaker 7 (16:38):
That thing's addictive. They know what they're doing. Well, Peter Cullen,
the legendary voice actor best known as Optimus Prime in Transformers,
he has died at 85. Cullen died at his home
in Los Angeles, surrounded by his family, as we talked about.
He became the voice of Optimus Prime in the original
Transformers cartoon back in 1984, but he played him for decades,
including in the Michael Bay movies. And this guy's voice
(17:01):
was everywhere, whether you realized it or not. He was
also Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh, which seems like a
lot of range. Carr in Knight Rider, Monterey Jack in
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and even did the creature
sounds for Predator. He had more than 200 acting credits
during his career and received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy in 2023.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah, Bort was telling us how Bort did some work
with him. Yeah, this is crazy. He was like the
world's nicest dude. And then at one point he called
Bort and he was not mad, but he was like, oh.
Damn it. Yeah, Bort answered the call. Hello. Oh, no,
hang up. I'm trying to leave you a message. And
(17:40):
so Bort hung up. Peter Cullen called back and left
him this message. Brett, this is Optimus Prime. Job well done.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Now, roar out.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
So cool.
Speaker 7 (17:53):
So good.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
It's the greatest story. It's really cool.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Love that story.
Speaker 7 (17:56):
Made even better by him saying, hang up so I
can leave you a message.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Hang up so I can leave you a message.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
That's so good. All right.
Speaker 7 (18:01):
Well, two air traffic controllers are now facing possible firing,
at least, after leaving work about an hour early on
the night of that deadly plane crash at LaGuardia back
in March. Remember this? This was the Air Canada Express
jet that collided with that airport fire truck after they landed.
It killed both pilots. It injured dozens of people. So
(18:21):
the two controllers who left early were supposed to provide
extra support, but they just left just two other controllers
in the tower on what was already a really busy
night because of weather delays. So, again, they're facing firing,
which seems light.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Pretty light.
Speaker 7 (18:37):
Yeah, so we'll see what happens with that.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Well, I mean, the crime here... is that it's a
time card accounting thing.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
It's a time card fraud.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Right, time card fraud.
Speaker 7 (18:47):
But that led to catastrophe. Like catastrophic events, yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Yeah, I just wanted to get like, how do you,
like from a legal standpoint, right?
Speaker 7 (18:56):
But your absence caused multiple deaths and you get time
card fraud.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
I get it, yeah. I get what he's saying. I
agree with you. I agree with you. But from like,
if they're trying to make the, if you have to
show X, Y, Z, like how do you, from a
legal standpoint, I mean, you can. Like, common sense, yes,
of course.
Speaker 7 (19:14):
I'm just pulling these words out of my ass, but
would that be involuntary manslaughter?
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Well, I think the converse of that is, would this
have happened if they were still there?
Speaker 7 (19:22):
That's the other thing.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
I don't know how you can prove that.
Speaker 7 (19:24):
That's what they're trying to prove.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Because there were people in the tower. It's just that
the additional help was not right. So you can't really
prove that it would have happened.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
If they were still there.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Thank you, Greg.
Speaker 7 (19:35):
Thank you, Greg.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
That's just my thought.
Speaker 7 (19:37):
You're a good courtroom analyst.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Analyst. And the answer is no, it wouldn't have happened,
but you can't prove it.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
You can't prove that.
Speaker 6 (19:43):
All right.
Speaker 7 (19:44):
Well, Trump has decided America needs another body of water
named after us.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Oh, this is.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
yeah, so I sent this text to my wife yesterday.
I go, this is the president? of the United States.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
Working big to small, as usual.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Like, dude, I mean, it's just nonstop trolling is what
it is. It's just nonstop. But this video got posted,
and I'm like, this is the president of the United States.
Speaker 9 (20:10):
So this is Lake Ontario in Canada and in the
United States.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
But we're going to make a little change.
Speaker 9 (20:17):
We're going to call it something different than Lake Ontario.
We're going to call it Lake America. And all it
takes is a good pen... And some intelligence.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Yeah, so he's holding up a picture, right, of the map.
Speaker 15 (20:29):
Right.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
And he goes, all it takes is a good pen
and some intelligence. He does look sharpie. And then he
starts doing the drawing. So Lake Ontario, that's gone. Crossing
that out. Lake America. Nice. So now we have a lake,
and now we have a gulf.
Speaker 9 (20:49):
Because we have the Gulf of America, and now we
have Lake America without the of. Now all we need
is an ocean. So maybe we'll have to change the
name of the Atlantic and or the Pacific.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Thank you very much, everybody. Enjoy Lake America.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
Anyone asking for this.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
When and where does the trolling end? It just nonstop.
It's so juvenile. It's petty.
Speaker 8 (21:16):
He's the pettiest person alive.
Speaker 7 (21:17):
Well, there's a reason for it, I think, right now. Because,
now remember, we share this like with Canada. They don't
have to call it that. But this is all happening
right in the middle of the U.S.-Canada terror.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Right, of course.
Speaker 7 (21:28):
So, yeah, they're just going to keep going after each other.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Now, does all this stuff get changed back after he leaves?
Speaker 7 (21:33):
It certainly could.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Well, that's usually the way it works. It's like there's
somebody in the office. They do X, Y, Z. It's
just for your sake. And then the next person comes
in and spends the first at least couple years undoing X, Y, Z.
And then they send up their own ABC stuff. And
then the person comes in after them and undoes AB.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
And everybody else keeps going to work to pay for it.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
And it's why the rest of us, they're all getting
rich and powerful. And the rest of everybody just kind
of sits around and deals with it. I wonder if
you're in Mexico and you Google... uh a map it
shows gulf of america i guess where does it show
from mexico yeah like what's this like when you google
(22:13):
it like what's you know what's the source of that
map that's coming up.
Speaker 8 (22:16):
Yeah and textbooks come textbook companies are going to be
making a lot of money off this because they different.
Speaker 7 (22:21):
New ones every year they're like oh no this is
old yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Uh yeah f trump and you idiots that put him
back in there Okay. I didn't vote for him. I
voted for Menace, as I do every single time.
Speaker 12 (22:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
You always do it right.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
And I keep on trying to win. I know. And I, yeah,
for president, I voted for Menace.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (22:42):
You go to the ballot box to vote for Menace.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
I wrote him in.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Yeah, because he likes my idea of space jail. I do.
The last, I think, the last three presidential elections, I
have voted for Menace. Because I hate them all. I
hate you guys don't believe me.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Right.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Like one day you're sitting here. I'm a neo-Nazi, you know, whatever, hardcore,
you know, conservative. The next day, like, oh, I'm super liberal, whatever,
you know, whatever. Yeah, I'm a socialist. But like, yeah,
I voted for men because I hate all of them.
Both parties. I hate both parties so much. I hate him.
Speaker 7 (23:18):
I mean, that's, that means you're doing something right.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
This stuff drives me nuts too. It's like, dude, I
get it. Like I, I like a good petty, whatever,
as much as the next dude. But at some point, like,
come on, man, do something residential.
Speaker 6 (23:30):
Ugh.
Speaker 7 (23:31):
Well, if you're finally getting a little Superman fatigue, there
are a few new movies hitting the theaters this weekend. Finally,
I know we've all been waiting for Coyote vs.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Acme.
Speaker 7 (23:40):
That's the Looney Tunes movie starring Will Forte and John Cena.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
That's fun.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
That was the movie that Warner Brothers Discovery canceled in
2023 for the tax write-off, so it's finally coming out.
The Dog Stars, starring Jacob Elordi and Josh Brolin, is
coming out. That looks pretty good. That's about a pilot
who survives this major pandemic and lives in an abandoned
Colorado airport.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
That sounds good.
Speaker 7 (24:00):
And has, like, an aggressive armed neighbor.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
That sounds awesome.
Speaker 7 (24:03):
This also sounds really good. If you want a horror movie,
it's called Buddy. That's where a bunch of kids have
to figure out how to escape a kid's TV show
after the giant talking unicorn they follow turns out to
not be so nice. Sounds kind of great.
Speaker 6 (24:16):
Random.
Speaker 7 (24:17):
And finally, Finding Emily is your romantic comedy option.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Oh, babe.
Speaker 7 (24:22):
And that's what's going on, Woody. I've never and have
no desire to and do not know how to bake
cookies from scratch.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
The other thing as a full-grown adult. It's kind of embarrassing.
I don't know how to drive a stick. The Woody Show.
You guys.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
What?
Speaker 2 (24:42):
People say Panda Express.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Isn't authentic chinese.
Speaker 5 (24:52):
Yeah hold on i couldn't say with authority i've never
been to china but i.
Speaker 10 (25:03):
Kind of disagree actually i do for real oh yeah
well yeah because they're your argument well they started as
panda inn which is 100% authentic Chinese food. And it
was just basically an expressive version of the Panda Inn.
So it comes from Chinese food. So it is Chinese food.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Well, the CEO of Panda Express agrees. It's not authentic.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
Really?
Speaker 2 (25:31):
And you know what? Doesn't care. He did a TV
interview recently, and they hit him with a question about
a specific customer criticism. Now, warning, fun accent ahead. What
do you say to people.
Speaker 8 (25:42):
that as a criticism say, this is not authentic Chinese food.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
I take no offense at all. You know, I don't
know what authenticity is. There are so many cuisines out there.
Whatever sells, I'll just make that decision. Yeah, that's it.
It's whatever sells.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
Well, that's the thing. It's like orange chicken isn't Chinese.
You know, it's a Chinese-American invention.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
The fortune cookie. Exactly. From San Francisco. From San Francisco, yeah.
You think you're going to go to China and get
a fortune cookie? I mean, you might.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Maybe now.
Speaker 10 (26:12):
He didn't say that he agrees. He just says, you know,
whatever you think it is, as long as it's good.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
He goes, yeah, we're not talking about it. We're not
promising authentic. We just want to have stuff that people
like and whatever sells.
Speaker 7 (26:28):
Yeah, we're not serving dim sum.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
It's like when people get so mad about Taco Bell. Well,
you know that's not authentic. What?
Speaker 4 (26:34):
No kidding. Olive Garden.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah, whatever.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
We're going to Italian.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Yeah, we're all good. But yeah, Panda Express, not authentic.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
Oh, really? Okay, but if you go to any Chinese restaurant,
it's not vastly different than what Panda sells. So why
are they all in on this if it's not authentic?
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Well, because it's an American. Have you ever gone to
like a real traditional whatever place and you're looking for
chicken parm on the menu or you're looking for whatever
on the menu and you can't find that stuff because
it's not authentic. That's not an authentic dish. That's an
Americanized version of whatever that is. I don't know. I've
been to multiple places in China and it was pretty
much the same.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
Really?
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
See, that's why I can't speak with authority on it.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
I wonder if you.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Can you get walnut shrimp in China?
Speaker 2 (27:16):
I'm sure you could find it somewhere. Well, I'll put it.
Speaker 7 (27:18):
I'll give you the opposite. When I go to like authentic,
authentic dim sum where they only speak Cantonese and I
bring my Cantonese friend, I do not recognize a lot
of the stuff that comes to the table.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (27:28):
So there you go.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
But yeah, because you're going for... You're going for the
critical mass.
Speaker 13 (27:33):
Totally.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Yeah, you have a business.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
And on that note, if you don't like walnut shrimp,
you should be 5150. You're insane.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
100%.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
It's the best.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
So succulent. Your stepson, is he a picky eater?
Speaker 7 (27:46):
He's a pretty good eater.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Your kids picky? Jeff? My oldest, yes.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
My youngest, no.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
I think they all start out that way, right?
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Well, sure.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
They just want the same crap over and over. Same
three things. Nuggets, pizza, mac and cheese.
Speaker 7 (27:58):
Yeah, we don't play that in our house.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Right. I mean, we have.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
He eats what we're eating for dinner.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yeah, we have tried. But sometimes you do cave because
you just don't want to hear it. And then you'll
do your own thing in here. Have the dino nuggets.
Speaker 7 (28:11):
I'm sure we'll get there at some point.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Who's pickier among your kids, your son or your daughter?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Well, at this point, it would be my daughter. Oh, okay.
Because she's younger. My son has now, like, he'll eat sushi.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Oh, okay.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Not adventurous, but he would have never done that. Three
years ago.
Speaker 7 (28:27):
I was just going through that age phase.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
I thought this was kind of funny, man. Parents around
the world were asked, what's the one thing your kid
asks for all the time? So here, it's always nuggets, pizza,
mac and cheese. Hot dogs, maybe. For American kids. When
I was a kid, I lived off four things. Corn dogs.
Hell yeah. Pizza.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Peanut butter and jelly. And mashed potatoes. All day. In Mexico...
They said, my kid always asked for a quesadilla and
chocolate milk.
Speaker 7 (28:57):
Oh, delicious.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Japan, they want frozen gyoza, those little like- Dumplings, potstickers. Potstickers, yeah.
Like little Japanese nuggets kind of thing. China, when I
was a kid, I would always ask for tomato and
eggs over rice.
Speaker 6 (29:10):
Oh, sure.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Or Panda Express. That's what, oh yeah, because it's authentic.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Or Panda, yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Canada, kids always want poutine. I've never had that, but.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
It looks good.
Speaker 7 (29:22):
There's nothing wrong with poutine.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Right, it looks fantastic.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
French fries, gravy, and cheese.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Yeah. El Salvador. El Salvador. Salvador. Jeez, easy for me
to say. Papusas. Oh, those are great. Which are good.
So good. Australia. How's your pie?
Speaker 4 (29:36):
They want pie.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
The parents there say it's Vegemite toast or nothing.
Speaker 7 (29:40):
Can you imagine? I gotta have my Vegemite.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Would you have Aussie pies available? You don't get that
over the stupid Vegemite?
Speaker 4 (29:49):
I'm so unpicky, and I've tried Vegemite, and I almost puked.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
The smell... It's the worst.
Speaker 7 (29:55):
The smell alone is horrible. Like yeasty, fermented.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
I don't believe anybody likes it.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
They're all lying. Sweden. Kids. My kids only want meatballs.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (30:05):
Like Ikea.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Yeah. Served with pasta.
Speaker 6 (30:08):
Yum.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Sounds good.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
In the UK, kids only want ricotta and spinach cannelloni.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
Ooh.
Speaker 7 (30:13):
That doesn't sound bad.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
It's interesting. I wouldn't have guessed that for the UK. Nope. Crumpets. Vietnam.
Every kid wants instant ramen.
Speaker 7 (30:21):
Sounds great.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
And then in Thailand... Parents are like, no, expand your horizons.
My kids demand eggs and rice every day, twice a day.
Speaker 7 (30:30):
Can you imagine how easy that would be?
Speaker 4 (30:33):
I know.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
That's the dream. Super easy.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
So is rice fattening or not?
Speaker 7 (30:39):
Well, it's carby.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
It's carby.
Speaker 7 (30:41):
But if you're not, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
So if you're trying to lose weight, should you just
avoid rice at all costs?
Speaker 7 (30:46):
That's what they say.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
The moderation's so tiny. Exactly. Moderation is probably the best. Yeah,
I mean, have some. How do people in Japan live
to be the oldest people in the world?
Speaker 7 (30:56):
Because they're also not eating all the processed crap.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Because eating sushi would be better than having a hamburger, right?
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Exactly.
Speaker 7 (31:01):
I would imagine.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
All right.
Speaker 7 (31:02):
No trans fats.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Get sushi then.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Yeah, people are really weird about the food. They'll obsess
about a grain of rice and not having that. Or
something that's because it says low fat, thinking that something
that has fat in it makes you fat.
Speaker 13 (31:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
When it really truly is, I don't know how people
can understand. And look, I'm a fat guy. It's because
I make poor decisions. It's not that I don't know.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
I know what I should do. I choose... Not to.
Speaker 9 (31:28):
Right.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
And I've been better, but I know what I should do.
And it makes the most common sense is that it's
calories in versus calories out. So it is truly moderation.
Speaker 13 (31:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
It's portion size.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
It sucks, though.
Speaker 7 (31:42):
They also say fat doesn't make you fat.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
That's what I'm, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
That's what they say.
Speaker 7 (31:46):
Being cold doesn't give you a cold.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
That was, that was pushed so hard. If you watch
a lot of those like documentaries, you know, about like
how the government was in on these different things for
different reasons and different, yeah, like, you know, they always
say follow the money.
Speaker 7 (31:59):
K-Rations, Kellogg, yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Yeah. And so like, you know, everybody started pushing, you know,
all this like, you know, fat free, whatever free, like,
you know, it's not, that's, that's not how it works.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
I'm glad to hear it.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Because I used to think, oh, I should get fat-free mayonnaise.
That's so 80s.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
So gross.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Yeah. The Woody Show. Text us. Check in. Friday check-ins.
Over to 22987. What's poppin' this weekend? What you got
going on?
Speaker 4 (32:24):
Let us know.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
I know Jeff's getting a massage.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Lucky.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
I am.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
From a dude. Oh, really? Yeah, he's kind of weirded
about it. Nice, bro. Not necessarily. First, the purse. Did
you guys see the purse picture?
Speaker 6 (32:35):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Those are something. On our Instagram.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Oh, that was a fun photo shoot.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Yeah, it was Menace Greg and Jeff G showing off
their man purses.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
And wanting to know if everybody supports the idea of
the man bag.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
And a lot of comments on that one. You can
see it on our Instagram, at The Woody Show. So first,
the whole man bag thing, and now... A massage from
a guy, huh? I mean, I've actually had a massage
from a dude before. I've had a ton of them.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
Really?
Speaker 2 (32:59):
I mean, I prefer women. You know, it's fine. But
at the same time, I need it. My back hurts, man.
It doesn't matter. I want to go and get it
figured out.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
Do you think.
Speaker 7 (33:07):
They get in there better because they're stronger?
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, I think so. Yeah, what scent is the oil
that you're going to use? Yeah, I don't ever know
why people get weirded out. Like, if you're going for
a massage, like a legitimate massage, if your whole thing
was to do, like, the Jed, what's his name?
Speaker 6 (33:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
If you're going for that kind of massage or the
Deshaun Watson massage.
Speaker 7 (33:30):
Take your poison by all means.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
And it's a happy ending and you select a dude
that could say something about you.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
Right.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Yeah. But if you're going for a legitimate therapeutic massage.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Right.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
How insecure do you have to be?
Speaker 9 (33:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Exactly right.
Speaker 7 (33:41):
I always think of like the athletes getting rub downs
from those old guys.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
We make a lot of jokes about, oh, that's gay
or whatever.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Right, right.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
It's just a joke. If we're being honest here for
a second, like I've never understood.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
What's your hang up?
Speaker 5 (33:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Like, so what?
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
It doesn't bother me. But the minute I say that
to like a friend.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Yay!
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Well, yeah, because guys like to break balls and stuff
like that. But in all honesty, you're not truly weirded
out by- No, no, no, no. I'm good. I'm good.
I can't wait, man. I need it.
Speaker 7 (34:07):
Although, if you flip over and he's doing, say, up
on the thigh, that's just a reaction.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
If he offers to finish you- That's just a physical reaction.
What if I chub up?
Speaker 7 (34:16):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
I've got a billion massages.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
I mean, who cares?
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Just ride it out, dog. I've gotten a billion massages
over the years. I have never once chubbed up. Really?
Speaker 6 (34:26):
Never.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Never.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Same.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Never.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
You haven't found the right one yet. Yeah, right. Bad massages.
I'm so about like, dude, the knots are melting away
or it's like more of like a Swedish kind of
just like a relaxing. I'm falling asleep. I'm not chubbing up. Yeah.
And then I get mad. I've fallen asleep during massages
and I get pissed. Well, yeah, you wasted it. You
missed it. Damn it.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
I think I've had three in my whole life and
I'm not into it. I'm like Menace.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Just don't really care.
Speaker 7 (34:52):
I do get a little antsy after a while. Like
90 minutes is way too long.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
90 minutes? Yeah. That's standard for a lot of people.
I'll do like a good solid two hours.
Speaker 7 (35:03):
Yeah, that's normal.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
Yeah. I feel guilty when I get them to like, Oh,
this person's doing so much work and I'm just lying here.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
It's with the people, the people who are really good
at it. They love it. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Like thumbs not broken.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
I don't know. There's speaking of a dude, there's this
one guy and he does like trigger point massage and
he really knows everything about what he's doing. It's like,
All right, well, there's usually knots that will, like, form
in this area. And you'll kind of feel it going
up around and kind of curling around this area. And
he goes, this is what causes stress. And as soon
as he starts touching that area, you feel, like, you
(35:39):
feel that pressure on that side. And you're like, oh,
how it's all tied together. So he's like, yeah, if
we can get this to chill and relax, like, that will, like,
get rid of that neck pain and those tension headaches.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Who knew?
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Dude, when you get somebody who really knows what they're doing,
it's great. And if it meant that he would have
to touch my penis afterwards, I might be all right
with it. And I got one of those notifications on
my phone. This is The Woody Show. All right, Morgan.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:09):
You're driving me crazy.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
With?
Speaker 2 (36:12):
She's been doing a lot of posts lately where.
It's tease, tease, tease, no.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
Payoff, right?
Speaker 2 (36:18):
So it's like, oh, guys, I wish I could. I
just can't. But soon, soon. Anyway, anyway, life's good. Life's good.
And I click and I click and I go, heart, heart.
And I go, all right, I'll hear something about that,
I'm sure, tomorrow or the next day or the day
after or the day after. But then there's another post. Guys, oh, man. Dude,
(36:44):
it's insane right now. I can't, I can't even, you know,
if I, it's so good. It's so good. I'll, I'll, I'll,
I'll have, I'll be able to say, I just can't
say something right now.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
Okay, cool.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
I'll hear about this tomorrow. Maybe the next day, the
day after, the day after, the day after. Nope. It's,
it's so much tease and no payoff.
Speaker 14 (37:03):
Am I not allowed to be grateful and share my
excitement about my life?
Speaker 2 (37:07):
You are, but like, we're all trying to be cool
and kind of like sit back and wait and go, okay, well,
we're going to find out about the students without really prying,
but like, there's so many tease videos.
Speaker 14 (37:17):
Well, things keep happening. I wish I could tell you
what I did yesterday, but it's not up to me.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
She posted one yesterday.
Speaker 14 (37:22):
I got to be a part of an interview that's,
hasn't been released yet so I have no.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
I know it's out of my control yeah can you
can you give us like.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Anything or well or maybe post when you can yeah can.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
You like release some dates like how everybody's looking forward
to Grand Theft Auto right like we have a date
November or whatever that is right I.
Speaker 14 (37:41):
Was told I would be sent the content when I'm allowed.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
To post it so okay all right so there's you
know how it works in this business sure I don't
that's the one yesterday but what about the four other
ones that were like oh my god you guys Things, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
You know the ones I'm talking about. We've all seen them.
Speaker 7 (37:57):
I see that this is bothering you guys so much.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
We're excited for you.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
Aren't you actually, though?
Speaker 6 (38:02):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
We're legitimately excited for you. Just be glad Woody clicked hard.
Speaker 7 (38:06):
He's never done that for any of my posts.
Speaker 9 (38:08):
At all.
Speaker 7 (38:09):
Well, I might have a fight soon.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Every once in a while like a couple the last
time you posted uh yesterday thank.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
You very much why are you taking this as a
negative thing i just.
Speaker 14 (38:18):
Feel like i'm being put on the spot i and
oh you're definitely being put on the spot sorry i'm
posting more but it's like i'm just trying to be
more vulnerable and just open and share my real life.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
Okay morgan you know i love you and i'm your
og fan But Woody's not criticizing you.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
I'm not. I'm legitimately excited.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
He's not bagging on you.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
I'm legitimately excited. He's saying like a lot of teases,
but there's no substance. So I guess the question is.
Speaker 14 (38:42):
So should I not?
Speaker 6 (38:43):
No.
Speaker 7 (38:43):
No, it's when do the people who are excited for
you get some more info?
Speaker 2 (38:47):
Thank you. Thank you.
Speaker 14 (38:47):
Like I said, y'all, we work in the same industry.
I don't get to talk about what I did yesterday
or post anything.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
That's just yesterday.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
I also might have a fight soon. That's big.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
See, there we go. You guys know about that? I
did not know about that.
Speaker 13 (39:00):
Yes, you do.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
Yes, you did.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
I did?
Speaker 2 (39:02):
I talked about it in a meeting. Oh, okay. I
know that one. I've talked about it on Instagram. Yeah,
we know about that.
Speaker 14 (39:07):
I can't say the specifics because I haven't been picked yet.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
It's not ready yet. That might happen.
Speaker 14 (39:12):
That's a good tease. I'm just trying, like, it's just
a personal thing for me. I'm trying to be more
positive and grateful.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
That's great. And I love it.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
I mean, your stories have been popping. For the record,
we love it. Okay.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
I'm all for it.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
I have been one of your biggest fans and supporters
since the very beginning. I'm happy and I'm excited. for you.
I'm glad to see you in a really good spot.
I'm happy and excited for you. And you post these
things and I'm like, oh, cool. When do we get
to find out what that is? I'm thinking to myself, cool,
when do we get to find out what that is?
And I'm trying to be cool and cool about it
and not ask. I'm not like, hey, so what was
this all about? I mean, y'all know everything. Well, I
(39:48):
was just reminded, you know, that something was said in
that meeting the other day. Okay. And that would be
very cool.
Speaker 4 (39:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
All right.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
So then you got to do this interview thing. We'll
get to find out about that.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (39:59):
Morgan, that was operator error.
Speaker 6 (40:02):
On me?
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Like, how do I fix that then?
Speaker 6 (40:04):
Nothing.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
There's no fix. I wanted to know if you had
an update as to when we might get. From Woody.
Speaker 7 (40:10):
Because he forgot about.
Speaker 8 (40:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (40:12):
Is it annoying to like.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
Maybe you should text them or something.
Speaker 14 (40:16):
Is it annoying to share good things online?
Speaker 1 (40:19):
No.
Speaker 8 (40:19):
No.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
That's what he's saying. He's like, share it. I gotta know.
I think he's just. Oh, I know. And I hear
about it. Straight up. If you want to be honest,
it is. Really? What do you mean? To some people,
people get annoyed.
Speaker 7 (40:29):
A hater.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Yeah. When you try to be positive. Who do we know? Like,
who do we know that you think fits that? That
is annoyed that when we share positive things. Yeah. Do
you want me to turn the mics off and you
can just, you know, tell me off the air? No.
I'm just trying to understand.
Speaker 7 (40:45):
You just mean like listener comments?
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Yeah, listener comments.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
Just out in the ether.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Yeah, just out in the ether.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Really?
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (40:52):
Yeah, anyone who doesn't want to see you happy, they're
going to get frustrated.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
I think the point that Woody's making, or I don't
know what the point he's making exactly, but maybe when
you can give the info, then you make a post.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
No, I'll simplify it for you.
Speaker 10 (41:07):
What he's trying to say is if you are going
to tease something, try to put out a date on
when you're going to release the information.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Pretty much.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
This wasn't a lesson. I don't know. I'm not allowed
to even know that.
Speaker 7 (41:17):
Jeff, what is happening? Or just say that. Like you
said to us, you guys know how this goes. I
wish I could say more. My hands are tied, but
I promise it's coming. That's literally what my post yesterday said.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
That is perfect. Then there's no problem. You know what?
Forget I said anything. Screw you! I legitimately was being
like joyful and supportive. And I'm excited. I'm excited for her.
And it's like this whole thing about like, oh man. Yeah,
God forbid somebody be excited for her. My bad. Listen,
you don't have to say that. And I'm sorry that I.
Speaker 7 (41:48):
was brought in here.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
And I didn't know what we were about to talk about.
Speaker 7 (41:51):
No, because it's two things. He's excited for you and
then wants information that you can't give and we get it.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Yeah, this seems like there's a lot of good things
happening right now, right? You're posting these videos that are
very vague and I was just asking maybe on behalf,
I guess if you want to look at it that way,
on behalf of male listeners who might have seen them
and whatever, when do you think like we're waiting for
the release date for GTA 6? When do you think
we might have that? When do you think we might
see a trailer for the new Whatever Marvel thing. That's all.
Speaker 7 (42:20):
And people only ask when they really care.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
He's excited. He wants to pay off. I've seen you
go through the deepest, darkest of lows, right? I try
to be very vulnerable and open about everything. And I
have the conversation with like, hey, man, just hang in.
We've had those conversations a number of times. I'm your supporter.
I'm happy for you. I was just trying to share.
Speaker 6 (42:39):
I'm sorry, guys.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 7 (42:40):
I didn't realize.
Speaker 6 (42:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
I think there's been a huge disconnect just now.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
I don't know what the F happened.
Speaker 7 (42:46):
There's nothing to apologize for.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
Yeah, there's nothing.
Speaker 16 (42:49):
I think everyone loves the content. Everyone's excited for you,
and they want the payoff, you know?
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Me too. I do too. Three, two, three. Woody's just
trying to start ish like always. No, Woody's not. Remember
I was talking about the other day about like there's
like a no win situation. Like either I'm dogging on
something and saying, oh, I don't get this or I
don't like whatever it is. People who leave their car
running when they run into the convenience store. Lame. All right.
(43:17):
Backing in the parking spots. I'm like, oh, Woody. So
I am legitimately excited and happy for Morgan what's going on.
And that's what I'm trying to bring to this. And
it somehow is like I'm starting-ish or like I'm like, what?
So what's the problem? There is no problem. There is
no problem. It wasn't brought up as if there was
like any kind of problem.
Speaker 14 (43:37):
I apologize that I misinterpreted what this is about.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
Oh my God.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Okay. You best apologize. Forget it.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
Apology not accepted. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
All right. You know what? I'm going to make a
mental note. I'm not asking if anybody has anything. I
won't ask ever again.
Speaker 7 (43:54):
We'll let you know.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Thank you. Thank you. It's not that I don't have
any interest, guys. I'm just going to keep my mouth shut.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
I didn't mean to walk into that. God damn it. 877-44-WOODY.
You can send us a text over to 22987. We'll
be right back. And has ball hairs.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
Yeah, has like a stem with little ball hairs on it.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
The Woody Show. We'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (44:17):
The Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (44:21):
I've said before, there's a lot to be said about tradition.
I can think about like a Christmas thing is that
my parents would always give us a new Christmas ornament
on New Year's Eve to open.
Speaker 4 (44:34):
On New Year's Eve?
Speaker 2 (44:35):
For next year? No, it was for like, so you
would open it on Christmas Eve and you put it
on the tree.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
Oh, Christmas.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Oh, you said New Year's Eve. When I say New Year's,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (44:43):
So you got to wait the whole year?
Speaker 1 (44:44):
What?
Speaker 2 (44:44):
That's weird. I'm sorry. Okay, that's very sweet. Broken brain.
Speaker 7 (44:47):
That's very sweet.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Yeah. Well, New Year's. It's a weird thing. My dad
does this thing with the New Year's pretzel. Have you
heard about that?
Speaker 7 (44:54):
No.
Speaker 4 (44:55):
I've heard a lot of food stuff, but not a
pretzel thing.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
And it's not even a pretzel. It's like this pastry.
It's more like a raspberry, not a toaster strudel, but
you know what I mean, like one of those.
Speaker 7 (45:06):
Like a shortbread cookie?
Speaker 2 (45:08):
Like a Danish. Oh. Like those Kringles?
Speaker 6 (45:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
It's more like that, but it's the New Year's pretzel.
Never heard of it. And it's like raspberry or one
of the cherry or something like that.
Speaker 4 (45:18):
Does he not know what a pretzel is?
Speaker 2 (45:20):
No, but he didn't name it.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
Some other weirdo. That's what it's known. And they sell
these and they're not, it's weird. It's weird. It's a thing.
I'm seeing it. Like a Western Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is big
on that. And it's supposed to be good luck.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
Okay. Yeah. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
But tradition around here is on Fridays.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
We collect these stories throughout the week, and we present
them to you in a format in a segment we
call the Friday Fail Stories.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
The Friday Fail Stories All right.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
It's time, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Let's do
some Friday Fail Story. All these people thought they had
the perfect plan, the plan that could never go wrong.
But then somewhere along the line, it went from being
a great idea to one big stinking mega Uber Ultra. Guys, strong, strong.
(47:00):
That felt good. In the wise words of menace. Oh, yeah.
I like that. I like it. I do like it.
All right. Well, this is from CNN. They were covering
the news, the death of Dolly Parton. Right. They were
talking about the story. They aired a photo of Dolly.
Except it wasn't the Dolly. It was a picture of
(47:21):
a Dolly Parton impersonator from Las Vegas.
Speaker 7 (47:25):
Was it a male impersonator?
Speaker 2 (47:26):
The impersonator also. No, it was a she. Oh, okay.
Said that she started getting all these texts from her
friends going, hey, your picture's on CNN. She's like, I
couldn't believe it. Here's the... Oh, my God. I thought
that was a man.
Speaker 4 (47:36):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 7 (47:37):
That looks like Lonnie Anderson.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
It does.
Speaker 6 (47:41):
100%.
Speaker 2 (47:41):
That's a woman.
Speaker 7 (47:41):
It certainly doesn't look like Dolly.
Speaker 4 (47:43):
No.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
No, it doesn't. CNN apologized, saying, we regret the error
and apologize to the Parton family.
Speaker 7 (47:49):
What intern?
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Say it. Is this her? Yeah, I don't know who
this is.
Speaker 7 (47:53):
They said she wore a lot of makeup.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
Now, as an impersonator, it works, right? It's fine. It's
close enough.
Speaker 4 (48:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (48:02):
You mean for her death tribute?
Speaker 2 (48:03):
No, no, no, no, no. I'm saying like you go
to a.
Speaker 7 (48:06):
Oh, yeah, it's fine.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
Yeah, you go to like some kind of Dolly Parton
tribute impersonator kind of thing.
Speaker 4 (48:11):
Yeah, you know what they're going for.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
Yeah, exactly. A fail story about this adult man who
I guess never grew out of the whole prank call phase.
And he was calling restaurants all over the country and
placing these huge orders for and sending them to random
addresses with payment due when the pizzas arrived. Not that part.
So at the one restaurant alone, he ordered more than
300 pizzas at once.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
What?
Speaker 2 (48:36):
And then left them stuck with about $ 10, 000 worth of food.
So the police, they eventually traced the calls back to
this guy. Big comedy, huge funding. And they arrested him.
They charged him with fraud. And because of the volume
and the amount of damages and the charges, he could
be looking at eight years in prison. Oh, my God. Sales.
Speaker 7 (48:56):
But I'm not blaming the victim, but doesn't the restaurant
do a little digging?
Speaker 2 (49:01):
I'm going to need payment up front for 300 pizzas. Well,
I guess it was over the course of whatever. It
was 300 pizzas. It was like that night. Yeah, from
this one place. That's crazy.
Speaker 4 (49:12):
310.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
How come you guys don't sing the whole fail line
together anymore? We just did. What do you think that was?
Speaker 4 (49:18):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
What?
Speaker 4 (49:20):
As opposed to what?
Speaker 2 (49:21):
What do you think we just did? Alright, this next
one is a fail comment. It's a fail comment. Yeah, right.
Speaker 13 (49:26):
Fail.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
Yeah, your comment failed. This next one is from Cicely, Greg,
where this tourist from Kansas, Gina, was vacationing, decided to
hike Mount Etna.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
Never a good idea.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
I know, another person hiking. Anyway, Mount Etna has been
active and a lot of areas are currently closed to tourists.
This guy didn't care. He wanted the full experience. He's like,
I'm here from Kansas.
Speaker 7 (49:48):
What am I going to see this again?
Speaker 4 (49:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
So he crossed into this restricted area. Now, active volcanoes,
if you remember from school and learning about this, they
can create their own lightnings. During eruptions. I did not
know that. Oh, you don't remember that? I always thought
that was so cool. I'm like, wow, no kidding. That's weird. Yeah,
so active volcanoes can create their own lightning during eruptions.
And while he was hiking, the guy was struck by lightning.
(50:11):
Rescue crews, they reached him, they airlifted him to the hospital,
but he didn't make it, you guys. Oh, no.
Speaker 13 (50:17):
Fail.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
Full experience.
Speaker 4 (50:20):
No sign is going to keep me off a volcano.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
And here I'll give you one more. My favorite story
of the week. This one, this guy woke up one
day and he couldn't see out of one of his eyes. Nothing.
His name is Matthew Whalen, better known as King of Ink.
He is Britain's most tattooed man. He is tattooed almost
his entire body. You guys see this guy, including his eyeballs.
(50:43):
He inked the whites of his eyes, and now he's
blind in one eye. Look at this guy.
Speaker 7 (50:47):
That'll do it.
Speaker 4 (50:48):
Oh, God.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
Isn't that a cool look? But it looks cool.
Speaker 7 (50:50):
He looks like he's rolled around in old newspaper.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
It's really cool.
Speaker 4 (50:53):
Yeah, I bet he doesn't regret any of this.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Yeah, so the doctors, they diagnosed him with some condition
I'm too stupid to pronounce, but basically it's inflammation inside
the eye.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
But Matthew says he's not exactly sure what caused it.
Speaker 9 (51:04):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
It could be anything.
Speaker 4 (51:05):
Total mystery. Must have been a dirty needle.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
A voodoo. What could that be, moron? Voodoo.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
Fail.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
It's a curse. And those right there, ladies and gentlemen,
your Friday fail stories. And now, more of The Woody Show.
All right, so for this one, this is what I
want you to do. I want you to open up
our social media on Instagram. Look for us at The
(51:33):
Woody Show. And you have a minute to do that.
And then you're going to vote. So go on our story,
our Instagram story. And once you get past everything else,
you'll see a post on there. It says, who did it?
And there are three mugshots. Who did it? A, B,
or C? I want you to vote on our Instagram
(51:58):
right now. So who did it? Was it mugshot A,
mugshot B, or mugshot C? I'm going to give you
the details of the story here. But this way you
can see what I'm showing everybody here in the studio.
Speaker 7 (52:10):
I already voted based on mugshot.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
Me too. You don't even know what it is. It
doesn't matter.
Speaker 7 (52:15):
I'm profiling.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
I saw the caption. Yeah, but like the details. So
this is a Steak and Shake employee in Florida who
is in some legal trouble. This particular Steak and Shake
location does that old school thing where they have the
car hops bring the food out to the customer's cars.
Like a Sonic, you know? Yeah.
Speaker 4 (52:34):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
But when Dude came out to serve this female customer,
he had his wee-wee hanging out through his zipper.
Speaker 8 (52:41):
That's cool.
Speaker 4 (52:42):
That's just jovial.
Speaker 2 (52:43):
Now, the woman called the cops, and her story was
backed up by the surveillance cameras. Which one of these
guys was arrested and charged with indecent exposure? Again, A, B,
or C. All three mugshots are up on a Woody
Show Instagram story, at the Woody Show on Instagram. Go
ahead and take a look-see here. Greg, I think I
already know what you're thinking.
Speaker 9 (53:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (53:03):
He was how lucky that his wiener was visible by
a high.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
Angle, far away, just coming out the zipper.
Speaker 11 (53:12):
And that the camera caught it as well.
Speaker 4 (53:15):
Right, and the confidence of just doing that.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Which one's your guess, Seabass? A, B, or C? I
think we have an obvious bait in there, which is B,
so I'm going to go C. You're going to go C?
Because B is the meth head.
Speaker 8 (53:27):
Yeah, I also went with C because he looks creepy,
but also hireable.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
I don't think B has a job. What's wrong with A,
that A wouldn't be hireable? No, no. What are you saying, Sammy?
B is not hireable. Gee, do you believe that, Jeff? Yeah,
those people don't ever get hired. Not in Sammy's world.
That's what Sammy just said. You heard. And when you
go on our Instagram, at The Woody Show, and you
click on our story, and you see the three mugshots.
I don't know what Sammy's trying to say. Is that
(53:53):
C is the only one that looks hireable?
Speaker 1 (53:54):
No.
Speaker 8 (53:54):
B was the other.
Speaker 2 (53:56):
Oh, God. There's no way out. If I was handling
the application. That would go right in the garbage.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
No.
Speaker 2 (54:09):
You said.
Speaker 4 (54:10):
All right.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
So your guess is. C. C. Menace. I was going
with C as well. Just because he has like the
weirdo face. Dead in the eyes type look. Okay.
Speaker 6 (54:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
All right. Greg Gorey.
Speaker 4 (54:22):
I Instagram voted for C. C.
Speaker 7 (54:25):
I also did because he looks very proud of himself.
Speaker 4 (54:28):
All right.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
Jeff G. I know the answer, so I'm out. All right, Jeff.
But you know how they are. Yeah, you know how. Wow, Sammy. Thanks.
You can send your letters. We'll make sure they get
seen by the right people. Can't believe it. Let's see.
The votes on Instagram are coming in. Here, so what
(54:49):
we're going to do is we'll take the break. We'll
give you a chance to go take a look at
our Instagram. At the Woody Show on Instagram, our story
is we're going to see those three mugshots, and then
you send your vote. There's a voting right there. There's
a poll right there on the Instagram story. Just punch
your vote in there, and then we'll give you the answer.
(55:10):
And then when we come back, blind box confessions. Yeah. Juicy.
So everybody has dropped a confession into the studio top hat.
We'll draw those out, and then we'll try to take
some guesses as to whose confession. We'll try to guess
now the mugshot of the person responsible for this crime
(55:30):
at the Steak and Shake. The Woody's Joke. Also this weekend,
the Daisy Chain Festival.
Speaker 6 (55:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (55:40):
Rip.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
I keep seeing it on KTLA and they're giving people
a bunch of heat warnings.
Speaker 5 (55:44):
Right.
Speaker 4 (55:45):
It's going to be hot.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
It's going to be hot.
Speaker 13 (55:46):
It will be hot.
Speaker 2 (55:47):
Out at the Daisy Chain. Who's all playing that? It's like,
I know it's Olivia Rodrigo.
Speaker 6 (55:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
I've heard a little thing in the commercial. Chapel Roan. Garbage.
You have garbage.
Speaker 4 (55:54):
Oh, sweet.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
You have Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLaughlin, Karen O. Okay. The Breeders,
Santi Gold. Yeah. It's going to be good. Good lineup.
Speaker 4 (56:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
You guys were talking about... So daisy chain, I wasn't
familiar with the definition. I'm shocked. I mean, neither. Right? See, I...
I mean, I would have thought I would have heard
about this before today.
Speaker 4 (56:17):
But you've heard the term or the word daisy chain.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
Right? As a phrase.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
Somewhat familiar. Yeah, yeah. Like, it seems like it'd be familiar,
but like the way that you guys were mentioning it.
Speaker 7 (56:27):
Trying to act it out.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
I never heard it used. I don't, I wouldn't even
know if you said daisy chain, if you heard of it. Yes.
Speaker 4 (56:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
I would have said yes. That sounds vaguely familiar. But
if you would have asked me what it is, I
wouldn't have had any idea. I certainly wouldn't have said
what Gina says it is.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (56:42):
I was like, well, doesn't everybody know what it is, Gina?
Speaker 2 (56:45):
And she said what it meant. And I go, huh?
And she goes, no. And then she looked it up.
Speaker 7 (56:49):
Well, you said that was the elephant walk.
Speaker 2 (56:52):
Well, yeah, like if dudes are holding each other's hands.
And that's what I thought it was. Like how they
do frat hazing.
Speaker 7 (56:57):
Yeah, and Daisy Chain is close. So here's the definition.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
Tell me if you had heard this. This is what
the festival is this weekend, guys.
Speaker 1 (57:04):
Are you ready?
Speaker 2 (57:04):
Okay. This is what's going on with Sarah McLachlan and
Garbage and Olivia Rodrigo.
Speaker 7 (57:09):
If you want to see a show.
Speaker 2 (57:12):
If you want to see a show. Yeah, so this
is what Daisy Chain is. I just learned this today.
Speaker 7 (57:16):
Sexual slang. It's a group sexual activity where multiple participants
form a circle or a line and act as a
both passive and active partner simultaneously involving giving a mouth
party to the person next to them. It's almost like
human centipede.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
This is happening at the festival? Dude, I'm as shocked
as you are, man. I can't believe it. Yeah, Karen
O is way into it. Yeah, dude, way into it.
Speaker 8 (57:41):
Nice.
Speaker 7 (57:42):
But I wasn't getting at first how you get into
that position and Greg had to remind me How many
times that you don't have.
Speaker 4 (57:47):
To be Stevie? I mean, I think out of respect,
even though I'm not a fan. She said, I don't
think I could reach. I said, Gina, we're lying down.
Speaker 7 (57:53):
You don't have to stand.
Speaker 2 (57:54):
But I think out of respect, even though I'm not
a fan, I think Stevie Nicks needs to be the
lead on that one. Because she's the second biggest star
at the moment. The heat on her star is very big.
So out of respect.
Speaker 4 (58:08):
Then Stevie gets to just receive.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
Correct.
Speaker 4 (58:11):
No skipping needed.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Out of respect.
Speaker 7 (58:13):
She's the end of the chain.
Speaker 4 (58:14):
She deserves it.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
She's the caboose. No, you don't want to be the caboose.
You want to be on the front.
Speaker 7 (58:19):
No, you want to be the end. The end doesn't
have anyone to service.
Speaker 3 (58:24):
No.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
No, because it's the opposite.
Speaker 4 (58:26):
If it's a line, either side.
Speaker 6 (58:28):
It depends which way you're laying.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Yeah, because it's the opposite. Because if there's nobody behind me,
it means I'm servicing someone in front of me.
Speaker 7 (58:37):
I was just laying the wrong direction.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
I think everybody gets service. Is it a complete circle?
It could be in a line. And if you're on
the front end, the front of that line, there's nobody
ahead of you to then service. So then you're just getting,
that's where Stevie Nicks belongs.
Speaker 7 (58:48):
My day's tune was backwards.
Speaker 2 (58:50):
Stevie Nicks, Olivia Rodrigo, and then everybody else. If it's
a line, you want to be the engine. Yeah, they
can always just fight it out.
Speaker 6 (58:56):
I need to draw this.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
Hold on. Yeah, draw it out.
Speaker 6 (58:59):
Jeff, get back up.
Speaker 2 (59:01):
I had never heard that before.
Speaker 13 (59:03):
Now you know.
Speaker 4 (59:03):
Point being the right. It's going to be hot.
Speaker 2 (59:05):
Yeah, it's going to be hot. And at this point,
I felt like I had heard it all.
Speaker 6 (59:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:10):
Yeah, I really did.
Speaker 17 (59:12):
The Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
But I guess all those things could be true. It
could cause problems and you could be cool.
Speaker 6 (59:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (59:18):
I mean, I came out fine.
Speaker 1 (59:19):
All right.
Speaker 2 (59:21):
Well.
Speaker 4 (59:21):
You got yours.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
On our Instagram, at The Woody Show, in our Instagram story,
which mugshot is the person involved in this story. The
Steak and Shake employee in Florida, this location has the
old school thing where the car hops bring the food
out to the customer's cars, like a Sonic. And when
this guy brought the food out to The customer, who
(59:45):
was a woman, he had his wee-wee hanging through his zipper.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
Oh, no.
Speaker 2 (59:48):
The woman called the cops. The cops got the story
confirmed by the restaurant's surveillance cameras. And one of these
three guys was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. Which
one is the employee, A, B, or C? And it
looks like the listeners overall agree with what you guys
had to say here in the studio, saying that it's
mugshot C. Yes.
Speaker 16 (01:00:09):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 7 (01:00:10):
Yeah, his face is just too weird not to be him.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
The mugshot involved in this story is.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
A.
Speaker 10 (01:00:15):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Just like Sandy said. Mugshot A. No, I thought he
was the least likely.
Speaker 7 (01:00:22):
That sucks because he looks... super sweet and cute and
he's too young to do.
Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
That yeah yeah it looks too normal yeah i selected
c because i just typed in like rand i literally
typed random mug shots right oh that's when i saw
this guy i'm like this guy he looks like the
kind of guy who would take his penis out oh
yeah he looks like a diddler absolutely and i have
no idea what he really did so i don't know
what this mug shot's even for but i'm sure if
we looked into it it might be in his history Maybe.
Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
And Gina said she wouldn't call the cops. She'd just
keep on ordering more food.
Speaker 6 (01:00:51):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Don't leave. I'll give you a tip. You forgot my soda.
All right. So blind box confessions. Are you guys ready?
Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
So I'll draw a confession out and then we can
all try to take a guess at who it belongs to.
Speaker 6 (01:01:06):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
All right. First one. I am considering not resigning my
contract at the radio station. Oh.
Speaker 6 (01:01:19):
Easy?
Speaker 8 (01:01:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Easy.
Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
I'm not signing my contract at the radio station.
Speaker 13 (01:01:27):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Okay. I mean, can we guess? Well, no, not yet.
Speaker 4 (01:01:32):
Not yet.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Okay. I think roadside memorials are trashy. Jeez. I think
I can guess who that is. Saw one this morning.
It looks great. All right.
Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
Picking notes. Contract, roadside memorials. Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
And this one. I smuggled drugs into a concert for
an artist. For an artist. Okay, so this is someone
who likes to brag. I smuggled drugs into a concert
for an artist.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
That's the third one, and I'll give you one more.
Out of here. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:02:26):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
I'm not wearing any underwear right now.
Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Nice. Jeez.
Speaker 5 (01:02:31):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:02:31):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
All right. I'm not wearing any underwear right now. That's...
That's blind box confession number four.
Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
So number one is I am considering not resigning my
contract at the radio station. Okay. Number two, I think
roadside memorials are trashy.
Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Number three, I smuggled drugs into a concert for an artist.
And then number four, I'm not wearing any underwear right now. Nice.
Speaker 4 (01:03:09):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
So take your guesses. You could text your guess. If
you just have, you know, for one of them, you're
not sure about the other one, but for whichever one
you have a guess for, you could text over to 22987.
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
Did you throw one in there, Woody?
Speaker 6 (01:03:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
Yeah. So everybody who's in this room right now, right, Jeff? Well,
there's more people in the room than there are. Yes, exactly.
That's by design. Okay. Sorry, I'm a little slow today.
So within the process of elimination.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Correct. Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
So it's Woody, Seabass, Sammy, Menace, Greg, Gina, and myself. Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Okay. Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
Yeah, so out of those four, those are the people
you have to choose from.
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
I think I nailed it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
Number one, I'm considering not re-signing my contract at the
radio station. Number two, I think roadside memorials are trashy. Three,
I smuggled drugs into a concert for an artist. Four,
I'm not wearing any underwear right now. So one, two, three,
and four, get your votes, your texts. over to 22987.
Then we'll find out who these belong to next on
(01:04:04):
The Woody Show.
Speaker 16 (01:04:05):
Hang on.
Speaker 2 (01:04:06):
Menace is different. I don't know if it's his obsession
with car racing now that he treats even restaurants as
pit stops.
Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
Totally.
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
One time I went out to eat with you, Menace.
Speaker 14 (01:04:14):
I was halfway through my meal and he gets out
of his chair and he's like walking out like, so
are we done?
Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:04:19):
And I'm like, I guess we're done.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
The Woody Show. Woody, Woody, Woody Show. Okay, so blind
box confessions. And yes, by design, not everybody in the
room had their confession read. That way it just makes
it too easy, you know?
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
All right, so we had four, but the options are Woody, Gina, Greg, Menace, Sammy, Seabass,
Jeff Garcia.
Speaker 9 (01:04:52):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
Those are the options.
Speaker 6 (01:04:54):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Now, we have some people, of course, who have been
sending on the text over to 22987. First one, I
am considering not re-signing my contract at the radio station.
Speaker 11 (01:05:07):
Greg's been doing so good with his real estate.
Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
And there were a lot of guesses for Morgan, but again,
Morgan was not in the party. Also, call screeners don't
get contracts. Well, I'm going to say it, but she
wasn't part of the mix. She's a producer. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right. I am considering not re-signing my contract at
(01:05:31):
the radio station. Guesses. Let's go around the room first.
I went with Woody. All right.
Speaker 7 (01:05:37):
Oh, I went with Mr. Retire Early, Seabass.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Oh, F-I-R-E, Fire.
Speaker 13 (01:05:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:05:44):
Menace?
Speaker 10 (01:05:45):
I also went with Seabass, but I have power rankings
that I want to share.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
So bad.
Speaker 8 (01:05:51):
I also said Seabass.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
All right. Uh, Jeff G. Seabass. Seabass. What were your
power rankings? Oh, it was power rankings. It was Seabass, Woody,
then Greg. But initially, it was Seabass, Greg, then Woody.
Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
Ah, see?
Speaker 4 (01:06:04):
I wasn't so far off.
Speaker 7 (01:06:05):
Well, the listeners have a totally different guess.
Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Oh, yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
The listeners went with?
Speaker 6 (01:06:10):
Sammy.
Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
Sammy.
Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
Sammy.
Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
Sammy would be my favorite.
Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
Well, with that upcoming wedding and all that.
Speaker 7 (01:06:14):
Oh, that's right. I'm not going to have to work anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
The only contract that matters is I do. She signs
it with two words.
Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
Just say the magical words.
Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
Yeah, she's been driving his car. The whole thing is
like she's really falling into the whole lifestyle. Moved into
his house. Now she's driving his car.
Speaker 8 (01:06:32):
It's pretty nice, too.
Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
Bring back the patriarchy.
Speaker 4 (01:06:35):
Say goodbye to bills. It's great.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Here, now before we find out the answer, let's go
around the room for confession number two. Confession number two,
I think roadside memorials are trashy. I think roadside memorials
are trashy. My vote on this one is Gregory. Yeah.
I think this one belongs to Greg.
Speaker 4 (01:06:56):
My vote on this one is Sammy. Sammy.
Speaker 7 (01:06:59):
My vote is also Sammy.
Speaker 4 (01:07:01):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Jeff Garcia.
Speaker 12 (01:07:03):
Greg.
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Greg.
Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
Menace.
Speaker 6 (01:07:05):
Greg. Greg.
Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
Seabass? Here's a problem. I know that myself and Greg
and Woody have all vocalized this in the past. It's
not a secret.
Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Therefore, either they don't know how to play the game,
or it's Sammy. Sammy?
Speaker 15 (01:07:20):
Greg.
Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Greg.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
The listener. The listener vote for number two. Are you eating?
Speaker 7 (01:07:27):
I'm sorry. I just wanted to try a cornbread.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Greg. Had to be done. Had to be a bite though.
Speaker 9 (01:07:32):
I'm done.
Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
Don't wait until.
Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
Music or commercials.
Speaker 6 (01:07:35):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
I thought I had more time. You know what? Just
do it right in the middle of the song. I
thought I had more time. You think you're on Fats Amy?
I am Fats Amy. I know you're insatiable.
Speaker 7 (01:07:43):
Greg is the answer for that one.
Speaker 15 (01:07:45):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
For the listeners. Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
The listener vote went to Greg. All right. Number three.
Confession number three. I smuggled drugs into a concert for
an artist. Seabass, we'll start with you on this one.
Speaker 11 (01:07:59):
My top two guesses are Gina and Menace because they
would be the type of people who would want folks
to know that they knew.
Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
A musical artist.
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Yeah, right. I would.
Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
But who gets your... For that, I will. But of
those two, I will just go Gina because I haven't
guessed her yet. That's interesting. Sammy.
Speaker 7 (01:08:14):
Jeff G.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
Jeff G.
Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
I say Jeff, but my second guess was Gina.
Speaker 4 (01:08:22):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Thank you. Greg.
Speaker 4 (01:08:25):
Mega Ultra Menace. Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:08:29):
Gina.
Speaker 7 (01:08:29):
Nagasaki Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
Nagasaki Menace. Jeff G. I say Menace.
Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
My vote was also for Menace.
Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
Jeff G is a good guess. Jeff G is a
good guess. He's got a criminal history.
Speaker 16 (01:08:42):
And it came from that rap station.
Speaker 4 (01:08:46):
No good, Nick.
Speaker 7 (01:08:47):
For the listeners, it was almost a tie. It was
Jeff had one less vote than Menace, but they.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Went with Menace. Okay. All right. And then a confession.
Number four, blind box confession. I'm not wearing any underwear
right now. I'm not wearing any underwear right now. My
vote on this one went to Gina because I think
this is the kind of thing that she would admit.
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:09:12):
Really?
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
Yeah. Agreed.
Speaker 4 (01:09:15):
I went with Gina on this.
Speaker 7 (01:09:16):
I thought this would be a big Greg admission.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
No.
Speaker 4 (01:09:19):
I wouldn't care.
Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
No. I don't think Greg would go free balling. I
don't think Menace would go free balling. I would.
Speaker 4 (01:09:27):
I just don't know why I would.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Yeah, I think Greg would 100%.
Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
And if I did, I would tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Hey, guess what?
Speaker 9 (01:09:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
I'm going to say Gina. Okay. Jeff G. Woody. Woody. Greg.
Speaker 4 (01:09:37):
I'm going to go Gina.
Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
Gina.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Menace.
Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
Gina.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Gina.
Speaker 4 (01:09:41):
Gina?
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Sammy?
Speaker 6 (01:09:42):
Gina.
Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
Really?
Speaker 16 (01:09:43):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
Sweeping. Yeah, if it's a girl, it's a cop-out, because
they do that all the time. Not true. Therefore, I'm
voting Sammy. Did she just out herself?
Speaker 7 (01:09:56):
And the listeners also think it was me.
Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
All right. Listener vote, Gina. All right, guys, now it's
time to find out which one belongs to who.
Speaker 4 (01:10:07):
I think I got them all right.
Speaker 2 (01:10:09):
All right, so confession number one, I am considering not
re-signing my contract. There are a lot of votes for Seabass,
except for one person who voted for Greg, and the
listeners voted for Sammy on this one. Whose confession is this?
Seabass's confession. Shocking. I had a little insight in this
for a number of reasons. For folks who don't know,
I was hired... Not with the main cast of the show.
(01:10:31):
I came in to save the show like a year-ish later.
That's what I was hired for. That's what happened. You're
still saving it, man. I was hired as a producer.
Go ahead. Because, yeah, the four that are co-hosted couldn't produce.
Speaker 11 (01:10:42):
So I'm not on their schedule. And I had a
little meeting with the bosses, and they said, hey, blah, blah, blah,
your contract's up. And I told them, as I've told
them every time, this contract doesn't mean anything to me.
It's not at a number where I'm like, oh, I've
got to save on my contract. You can go to wherever.
But they've been so insistent about like, and they really
wanted me to re-sign it. I was like, they must
(01:11:03):
want something out of me. So I need to get
something out of them. So I'm not looking to leave
the show or anything like that for that reason.
Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
I can assure you there's no pressure there. They've been very...
At least from my interaction, they'd be like, yeah, it'd
be great if you'd sign it. Okay, that'd be awesome.
Not because it's within a handful of months that it's expiring.
And even if it expired, I could be going month
to month, et cetera. Like a lease, I would assume.
Speaker 1 (01:11:26):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
No, you know, there is.
Speaker 4 (01:11:28):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:11:29):
I would tell you. Because I value what you do
for the show. I appreciate that you have saved the show.
Thank you. Yeah. No, but I do appreciate the work
that you do. And we mentioned this about six months
ago that I... several years ago, took a $ 50, 000 a
year pay cut to keep all the rights monetarily to Cartnarks.
But what I can't get from this company is anybody
(01:11:50):
to do anything on the back end.
Speaker 11 (01:11:51):
I've got opportunities for other stuff with Cartnarks. And because
I don't own the intellectual property, there's bureaucracy and people
who don't need to be involved being involved. And I
can't do a thing about it other than say, yeah.
So my thought about this is, Well, yeah, I'll give
them the signature. All they got to do, little one-page
(01:12:12):
addendum to the contract saying that I own it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
Cardinale's that being. Yeah, good luck on that. Which is, again,
would be a lot more helpful.
Speaker 11 (01:12:19):
If I had someone on the staff who was maybe
batting for me on my team.
Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
What are you talking about, me? Which I just heard
didn't go right there. No, I'm just saying, I know
the inside information of what the conversation is, and it's
not about us or you in particular. That's how the–
I've asked for ownership of this show a billion times.
You own the show. I don't. You had it before
you started the... I own certain things that I brought
in with me, but I don't own... I got to
(01:12:43):
own the name of the show. I don't own anything
that we've done since we've been here. How do you
not own the name of the show? Tell me about it.
That's why I'm saying I have the inside information of, like,
I've been down this road a billion times. And as
a principal, because they don't do it. I'm just letting
you know, so... Well, again, it costs them... But there's... Look,
I support you a thousand percent. Now, the other thing is, I.
Speaker 11 (01:13:05):
I haven't had a cost of living increase since I
signed my first contract 11, 12 years ago. I looked
up the inflation. Oh, I'm getting less than half of
what I made when I first started this show just
because they haven't bumped me up at all.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
In fact, again, I've given.
Speaker 7 (01:13:16):
Them back $ 250, 000.
Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
At this point. So it's not like I'm not giving
them anything. Yeah, well, this is a conversation for... Yeah,
this is an HR issue. But that's why I'm considering it.
But I wanted to be clear. I 1,000% appreciate all
that you have done over the years for the show.
I think also, to be fair... you know, from a
person who like runs the show on this side, I've
(01:13:38):
been very accommodating in the different things that you have
come up with that you've asked for over the years
to make your schedule work better for you.
Speaker 6 (01:13:45):
Right.
Speaker 11 (01:13:45):
And again, I'm not saying, I mean, it has to
do with me being unhappy in general, but I was like,
they sure want something from me.
Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Why can't I get it? They don't. I can tell you,
they really don't. It's just more of a, it's just
a mechanism.
Speaker 11 (01:13:58):
That was the other side of the coin is they
also love firing people around here.
Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
So I gave him a free ad on that one. Yeah. Well, see,
Too much inside baseball. I'll fill you in later. All right.
Number two. Confession number two. I think roadside memorials are trashy.
There's a couple of votes for Sammy in there. Greg's
got some votes in there. It was split between Greg
and Sammy. The listener vote went to Greg. All right.
(01:14:25):
Greg Gorey. Yes. Whose confessional is this?
Speaker 6 (01:14:29):
It is mine.
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Damn it. Damn it. No heart. I know.
Speaker 6 (01:14:37):
You know what?
Speaker 8 (01:14:37):
Because I did just see one and I just thought, man,
how trashy. You're just putting trash on the side of
the road. And I felt bad because it was for
a kid. But you know what?
Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
It's just never for an 85-year-old. No, it is if
there's an accident or whatever, but.
Speaker 8 (01:14:53):
There was one and it was for a kid and
they leave stuffed animals, but it's like the crappiest stuffed
animal you've ever seen. It's like from the dollar store and.
Speaker 7 (01:15:01):
It's so ugly and trashy because you know.
Speaker 8 (01:15:03):
You're leaving it on the side of the road so
you're not paying for a good one.
Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
And then you're going to feel like a dick if
you're the person that eventually cleans it up. It's going
to get rained on. It's going to get littered.
Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
It is. It's actual litter.
Speaker 8 (01:15:14):
It's really trashy. And recently, even when Dolly Parton passed
away and they're leaving all this stuff out in front
of her house, I'm like, Okay, there's gates. How are
people getting in and out of here now? Because you
basically just put trash all over the front of this house. Like,
what are we doing as a society?
Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Who cleans this up?
Speaker 8 (01:15:31):
And you're just buying cheap crap.
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
All right, so that's confession number two. All right, Blind Box,
confession number three. I smuggled drugs into a concert for
an artist. And the votes were kind of all over
the place. There was a couple for Jeff G. A
lot for Menace. One for Gina. Two for Gina. No,
one for Gina. There was one for Jay, and then
the confession number three belongs to....
Speaker 6 (01:15:59):
Me.
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
Jeff Garcia. Easy peasy, dawg. So we were right. So
the stereotype worked. Yeah, it did. Very much so.
Speaker 16 (01:16:08):
So I used to produce Snoop's radio show, as you
guys know, back in the day. And I worked for
a former hip hop station in the early 2000s. And
he had about two pounds of weed.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Not a little.
Speaker 16 (01:16:19):
Like a lot of weed that he needed to get
into the venue. So he could smoke during his show
and obviously he couldn't get it through security. So he
asked me to figure it out.
Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
Now, is this like back in the day when it
wasn't so widely accepted?
Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
It was not.
Speaker 16 (01:16:30):
It was definitely not legal, barely medicinal at that point.
So I ended up, we had an ice cream truck
back in the day that would give ice cream to
like listeners and stuff. And it was parked in the
parking lot at the venue. So I grabbed a few
boxes of ice cream and popsicles to stuck the weed
underneath all of that in a box. And then when
I went through the security, I just handed all the
cops ice cream and everyone was happy and distracted and
(01:16:52):
all the weed got in.
Speaker 7 (01:16:53):
You're the logistics man.
Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (01:16:55):
And then on top of that, here's the funny part though.
I put it in his dressing room and he saw
me later on in the show. He goes, Hey man,
did you take any of my weed? I go, no dude,
I took it in.
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
Thank you. You're welcome by the way for sneaking it
all in. And no, I didn't take any of it, man.
I don't smoke.
Speaker 9 (01:17:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:17:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
So that's the story.
Speaker 4 (01:17:11):
All right.
Speaker 7 (01:17:11):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
And we have one more confession. Blind box confession. Number four.
I'm not wearing any underwear right now. We had some
votes for Gina. A lot of votes for Gina. One
vote for me. One vote for Sammy. But the listeners,
the listener vote went to Gina.
Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
Confession number four. Who's not wearing any underwear right now?
Speaker 7 (01:17:36):
Okay, so here's what happened. So I always put my
clothes out the night before and I put it like
in the hallway bathroom.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:17:45):
And then I went to get dressed and I was like, oh, damn,
where's my underwear? And I didn't want to go back
in because the puppy's sleeping and Andy's sleeping.
Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
Turn on the light.
Speaker 7 (01:17:53):
Yeah, I didn't want to do all that. I said,
you know what? It's just going to be that kind
of day. It's going to be a commando day and
I'm fine with it. And I got to tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
What are you wearing? What kind of pants? Like something.
Speaker 7 (01:18:00):
They're like jeans, but they're like sweat pant material.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
So it's really not a big deal. If you're not
wearing underwear, you got to wear something more loose, you know? Yeah,
that's a trick. I think not wearing underwear with something
that would be tighter would be very uncomfortable.
Speaker 7 (01:18:13):
A lot of times you have to with something tighter.
Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
No underwear with jeans I think would be uncomfortable.
Speaker 7 (01:18:18):
Oh, I agree. Completely. So today I was like, you
know what?
Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Screw it.
Speaker 7 (01:18:21):
It's just going to be a commando. And I'm kind
of loving it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (01:18:25):
I'll try that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Just get a chance to air it out.
Speaker 7 (01:18:27):
Yeah, it's really freeing.
Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Like hanging laundry on the line. That's right. You didn't
get an allowance?
Speaker 6 (01:18:35):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
So how did you know how much money you had
to spend? You could just spend whatever you wanted?
Speaker 8 (01:18:38):
Yeah, but I also wasn't like, no, but I wasn't nuts.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
I wasn't going shopping.
Speaker 8 (01:18:42):
And stuff, but if I went to the movie, I'd
be like, Dad, I'm going to the movies.
Speaker 7 (01:18:46):
Like, that's fine. Take the card.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
I know.
Speaker 7 (01:18:50):
I hear it now.
Speaker 1 (01:18:50):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
Well, it's time for today's dumbass contest. And today's dumbass
contest is the DUIQ. DUIQ. 877-44-WOODY is the phone number. 877-44-Woody. Seabass,
explain the way the DUIQ works, please.
Speaker 11 (01:19:10):
I find someone very drunk and ask them very easy
trivia questions.
Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
And the game is not for you to answer trivia questions.
The game is, is this drunk person going to be
so drunk that they can't answer these otherwise obvious questions?
If you can guess whether they get it right two
times out of three, you are the winner. All right,
let's say hi to our contestants. Say hi to Mark.
What's good, Mark? Hey, good morning, Woody.
Speaker 6 (01:19:32):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
All right, so we're going to play the DUIQ before
we get to the questions that count toward you winning
a prize. We're going to get to know this drunk
a little bit better. And who is this sea bass?
This is just one of the juggalos.
Speaker 11 (01:19:42):
This is in honor of last weekend being the gathering
of the juggalos. This is a drunk juggalo I happened upon.
Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
I didn't get his name. All right. And he is
lamenting how, yes, he's drunk, but, man, he wishes he
could get mega high, too. But he can't because of
his job. Is he okay? Oh, he's just coughing.
Speaker 17 (01:20:02):
That's all right. All right, how about rye or green?
They've got edibles.
Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
I can't take.
Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
THC.
Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
Oh, really?
Speaker 17 (01:20:12):
No, I've got a real job in here.
Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
Oh, I hear what you're saying.
Speaker 17 (01:20:15):
I've got all this beautiful, this beautiful marijuana. And I've
got all this beautiful dabs. And I've got all this
beautiful wax.
Speaker 6 (01:20:27):
Tempting you.
Speaker 17 (01:20:27):
And all that shit. Right in front of me, available
for consumption.
Speaker 1 (01:20:32):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
And I can't do it. Someday, when you're retired, right?
Speaker 17 (01:20:37):
Yeah, I'm either going to retire or die.
Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Yeah. Let's decide. I mean, you can do both.
Speaker 14 (01:20:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
You can retire and then die.
Speaker 4 (01:20:46):
I'm just impressed he has a job.
Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
Yeah, juggle up with a job.
Speaker 4 (01:20:48):
He has a job?
Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Not only a job, but a job that drug tests. What?
Not a good idea. Hey, fun fact, or not so
fun fact. Everybody who retires... Yeah. ends up dying. Yeah, 100%.
I think it's caused.
Speaker 6 (01:21:00):
100%.
Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
It's caused by retirement. Don't they say, like, within six years, too?
That sucks. That part I don't know. But everybody who
has ever retired eventually has died. Weird. Isn't that crazy?
No way.
Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
All right. So, Mark, you ready for the questions? Yeah,
I'm ready. DUIQ, question number one.
Speaker 6 (01:21:18):
Jackie Robinson played on what major league team?
Speaker 4 (01:21:22):
Triple no. All right.
Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
Jackie Robinson played on Which major league team?
Speaker 11 (01:21:28):
Now, you might say, well, they have a Jackie Robinson
day every year, and technically everybody wears number Jackie Robinson.
Speaker 4 (01:21:34):
Yep.
Speaker 13 (01:21:34):
42.
Speaker 4 (01:21:35):
69.
Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
No for the Juggalo. Yes for Sammy, no for Menace.
Maybe Sammy.
Speaker 7 (01:21:43):
Yeah, I agree. I think Sammy's going to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
Sammy knows more about sports.
Speaker 7 (01:21:46):
Yeah, and then no to the gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (01:21:49):
Okay, you swayed me. Yes to Sammy, no to Menace,
no to... What's his? Oh, we don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:21:54):
Juggalo.
Speaker 2 (01:21:54):
Juggalo. All right, Mark, what do you think? Yes or no?
Speaker 6 (01:21:57):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:21:58):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
All right, question number one, DUIQ.
Speaker 6 (01:22:01):
Jackie Robinson played on what major league team?
Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
Dodgers. Sammy. Dodgers. Dodgers is correct. Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
Look at that. Also for the Kansas City Monarchs.
Speaker 7 (01:22:13):
That's right. The Negro League.
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
All right. Well, let's see if the juggalo got the
question right. Let's see if Mark is on the board
here on the DUIQ.
Speaker 6 (01:22:21):
Jackie Robinson played on what major league team?
Speaker 12 (01:22:24):
Jackie Robinson.
Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
It was the Chicago motherf * * * ers.
Speaker 12 (01:22:28):
Are you a fan of the Chicago motherf * * * ers?
Speaker 17 (01:22:30):
Chicago White Sox.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
No, not the answer. But Mark, congratulations. You were on
the board. You got your first point. Here in this
round of the DUIQ, it's question number two.
Speaker 12 (01:22:44):
According to the phrase, there's a what born every minute.
Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
The original one.
Speaker 11 (01:22:52):
There's been a thousand different bastardized versions of this, but
the old P.T.
Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
Barnum.
Speaker 16 (01:22:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
That might be apocryphal.
Speaker 6 (01:23:00):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (01:23:00):
Well, it's attributed to him.
Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
You've said two words so far.
Speaker 4 (01:23:03):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
I'm going to have to look up later.
Speaker 12 (01:23:05):
According to the phrase, there's a what born every minute.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
All right. Let's see. What do you think, Greg?
Speaker 4 (01:23:13):
I think yes to Menace. Okay, now I'm going to
cheat and look at Sammy.
Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
Yes to Menace, no to Sammy, no to the Juggalo.
There you go.
Speaker 4 (01:23:24):
That.
Speaker 7 (01:23:25):
Same. Menace knows it. The other two, not so much.
Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
All right. Mark, what do you think? Definitely not. Definitely not.
Question number two.
Speaker 12 (01:23:33):
According to the phrase, there's a what born every minute.
Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
Sammy Marino. A consumer? A consumer.
Speaker 7 (01:23:41):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:23:42):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
A sucker. Madness. How'd you know that? It's just, I
don't know.
Speaker 13 (01:23:49):
I know it.
Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
Which is the argument we always give you when you say,
how did you know that? Why would I know? I
think it's in a song. All right. Well, Mark guessed
that the Juggalo would not get this one right. And
if that's the case, he'll be the winner on this
round of the DUIQ.
Speaker 12 (01:24:03):
According to the phrase, there's a what born every minute.
Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
A killer. A killer. A juggalo. A juggalo. That's not
the answer either. All right, Mark, congratulations. You are the
winner on the DUIQ. All right, man, congratulations. And thank
you so much for listening to The Woody Show. And
enjoy your prize. And have yourself a great weekend, okay?
Speaker 1 (01:24:30):
Thanks.
Speaker 13 (01:24:30):
You, too.
Speaker 2 (01:24:30):
There you go. There's Mark. And, yeah, there's no actual
attribution to P.T.
Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
Barnum.
Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
He just says credited with it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:39):
Sounds like something he'd say.
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Do you understand that yet, Menace? Nope. Attribution.
Speaker 1 (01:24:43):
Apocryphal.
Speaker 2 (01:24:44):
Is it apocryphal? Nope. Do you know any ET guesses?
Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
You keep saying it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:50):
Attribution. Which one first? Attribution. There are contribution, attribution. It's
similar to that.
Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
All right. Yeah. Like credited with.
Speaker 7 (01:24:57):
You've heard someone say, like, who do you attribute that to?
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
Yeah, your contribution, your credit, like Greg said. Yeah. Like
Greg said. Like Greg said.
Speaker 11 (01:25:08):
I will say, apocryphal isn't, the words that make that
up aren't as obvious.
Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
That I don't know. Question number three for the DUIQ.
Speaker 6 (01:25:17):
The Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria were what?
Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
Oh, okay. Jesus Christ, I hope so.
Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
No to the juggalo, but yes to these two.
Speaker 6 (01:25:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Yeah, for sure. I'm going to say the same. I'm
going to say yes to these two. Juggle no.
Speaker 7 (01:25:34):
I'm going to say yes to Sammy and no to
the gents.
Speaker 4 (01:25:38):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
That's sad. Do you want to take a guess at
this one, Jeff? Do you think you're going to get it?
Speaker 8 (01:25:45):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
No? All three?
Speaker 4 (01:25:47):
All three no.
Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
Wow. Sweep it for no.
Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
Rude.
Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
All right. Question number three. D-U-I-Q.
Speaker 6 (01:25:53):
The Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria were what?
Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Chips?
Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
Sammy.
Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
Ships, yes. Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:26:03):
Bonus.
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
I thought we needed more.
Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
Yeah, I can tell you more.
Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
Associated with? Menace? She was about to say it. Come on, Sammy.
First day?
Speaker 14 (01:26:12):
No one has said Menace until after you asked the question.
Speaker 2 (01:26:15):
Yeah, thank you. She's just happy she knows it.
Speaker 4 (01:26:18):
Yes, the movie director.
Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
Chris Columbus. Christopher Columbus. That was his crew of ships.
And went where? To Plymouth Rock.
Speaker 4 (01:26:28):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (01:26:29):
And what's another word for his crew of ships?
Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
What?
Speaker 7 (01:26:32):
What's another word for his crew of ships?
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Another word for his crew?
Speaker 7 (01:26:36):
Instead of saying his crew, his.
Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:26:39):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
I don't know. His gaggle of ships?
Speaker 7 (01:26:41):
I thought this was right.
Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
What?
Speaker 7 (01:26:42):
See, best movie you can tell me. The Armada of.
Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
I would know.
Speaker 13 (01:26:46):
Really?
Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
I would have said Fleet.
Speaker 8 (01:26:47):
Also, the Mayflower went to Plymouth Rock.
Speaker 2 (01:26:50):
I know. I was joking. Hey, guys. Thank you. Technically,
Christopher Columbus was the first cruise to the Bahamas. And
looks like Carnival.
Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
OG Carnival.
Speaker 4 (01:27:02):
A lot of drama.
Speaker 1 (01:27:04):
877-44-Woody.
Speaker 2 (01:27:07):
Let's see if our drunk juggalo got this.
Speaker 6 (01:27:09):
The Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria were what?
Speaker 17 (01:27:14):
Them's were the ships that Columbus.
Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
Sailed all over. All right, this is fun.
Speaker 4 (01:27:21):
All right, give me another one.
Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
Oh, my God, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
That's impressive. You guys showed me. Every once in a while, man.
Speaker 4 (01:27:31):
Miracles happen.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Eat that, Jeff.
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
Yeah, that is a miracle.
Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
There's an ICP song, Miracles.
Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
Oh, it's there.
Speaker 2 (01:27:38):
Yeah, remember Rainbows?
Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
Magnus, how do they work? Magnus, how do those work?
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
I'd just like to say that I have swept. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:27:45):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
How'd you know all that stuff, man? I just be knowing.
Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
But you weren't around in those days.
Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
More Woody Show. Yeah, so what is it? How did
you know if you weren't there? The Woody Show. All right,
welcome back, everybody. Dude, sports parents are, I think, the worst.
They're a little crazy. And it doesn't mean that just
because your kid plays sports that you are a sports parent.
(01:28:11):
You know who we're talking about, right? We're talking about
the ones who are yelling and screaming. Yeah, once you
get ejected. And carrying on. Have you had a deal
with those people, Jeff? Your kids are both in basketball.
That's my wife, actually. She's the problem. She's the problem.
I can't sit next to her during games. I'm dead serious.
Speaker 1 (01:28:29):
Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
I sit far away from her. She's a lot, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:28:33):
Has she been kicked out?
Speaker 2 (01:28:33):
She screams at the refs. She screams at the refs.
She screams at everybody. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:28:37):
Yeah. It's awful, man.
Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
Yeah. parents, too?
Speaker 16 (01:28:42):
She gets all defensive if someone says something about our kids.
I'm just surprised she hasn't got kicked out.
Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
She's been cool and not got kicked out. I feel
like every once in a while, man, we need to
check in with Jeff. And almost like a therapeutic release. Because,
I don't know, man. It seems like every day. What
was it you were telling me about? Something happened, and
no matter what you said, You know, she's never wrong. Oh, yeah.
(01:29:11):
I mean, she's Latina, so even when she's wrong, she's right. Yeah.
That's just the way it works. You should know that.
It was something crazy. Like, something you had no control over, but.
Speaker 16 (01:29:20):
Oh, well, yesterday at the airport, she swore that we
were going to the right place, and I kept telling her, no,
it's over here.
Speaker 2 (01:29:27):
We've done this a hundred times.
Speaker 6 (01:29:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
No, no, no, it's down this way, I swear. And,
you know, it's hot.
Speaker 7 (01:29:32):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 16 (01:29:32):
And so we're dragging five luggages to the completely wrong place.
Speaker 2 (01:29:36):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 16 (01:29:37):
And then, you know, me, I have my glutton for punishment,
so I hit her with, I told you.
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
And that didn't help. That didn't help. Nah, nah. What
did she do when you said that? They forget about it.
They forget about it, yeah. Did she swing? What happened?
Did she swing? No, no, no.
Speaker 16 (01:29:52):
But in the minutes, you know, because I think both
of our dogs eat the same kind of dog food, right?
So it's packaged for them with their name on the
package and you split it like into fours, right? And
one of my dogs eats a considerable amount.
Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
More food than the other one.
Speaker 16 (01:30:07):
So we package them all in little Tupperwares and they're
color coded the whole thing. So I take one out
and put it for my littlest dog, and it looked
like a massive amount of food. And I said, did
you confuse these by chance when you put them together?
Speaker 1 (01:30:19):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
They probably put the wrong label on the bag. It's
not me. They did it wrong. They're the ones who
put the label on it. I know I did it right.
I'm like, are you sure?
Speaker 16 (01:30:28):
Because it looks like double the food he normally eats.
They must have labeled it wrong.
Speaker 7 (01:30:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
And I'm like, you clearly messed up. Just say you
messed up. It's okay. So you know what's funny, man?
I mean, I've met Jeff's wife a number of times,
and she's lovely. She's very- To you. She is.
Speaker 1 (01:30:42):
See?
Speaker 2 (01:30:43):
And this is why I feel like we are blood brothers.
I think you and I are the same.
Speaker 7 (01:30:47):
Because you also have the sweetest wife, Woody.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
And dude, my wife, she means well, she does. But
when she puts the mean in mean to me, like
because she's the sweetest, the most like, oh, and just
over the top with everybody. And then it's like the
minute everybody else walks away, she kind of looks at
me and that smile just goes to a scowl. Yeah,
you're like, yeah, like everybody's like, oh my God, your
wife is the best. And I go, isn't she though?
(01:31:13):
Because she takes out all the mean that should go
to other people, the mean that those other people deserve.
And she'll be sweet as hell to them. And she'll
save it for me.
Speaker 7 (01:31:25):
Like to you or about them?
Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
Yes. I think she just takes all that and just
rechannels it to me.
Speaker 7 (01:31:32):
And if she's had a couple drinks, anything you say,
she goes, okay, Woody.
Speaker 6 (01:31:37):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
You've seen it. I've seen it. And you've seen it
in that moment.
Speaker 7 (01:31:42):
It's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
Did I say or do anything in that moment?
Speaker 12 (01:31:44):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:31:45):
Not at all. Okay, Woody.
Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
You probably deserved it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:31:49):
Or something else another time.
Speaker 4 (01:31:51):
I mean, you're as biased as she is. No.
Speaker 2 (01:31:53):
I'm telling you. You don't crap on her.
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
You don't crap on her. Dude, I'm telling you, in
those moments when that kind of stuff happens, it could
be something completely innocuous. And I just get, I go, what?
What's the look?
Speaker 4 (01:32:05):
Okay, let's get her in here and get her drunk.
Speaker 2 (01:32:08):
Yeah. Get to the bottom of this. Dude, I feel you.
Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
That's all right, man.
Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
You learn. Menace knows what it is, too. Yeah, because
that's why I always argue. They're like, oh, you're like, oh,
Nacho does everything for Menace. He doesn't do anything. He's
just a baby. I'm like, no, because if I try
to do something... I'm always doing it wrong, no matter what.
Speaker 10 (01:32:25):
So then I don't even fight it. I go, hey,
if this is what you want to do and you
want to do it a certain way, you can do it.
Speaker 1 (01:32:31):
It's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
And I've seen the spicy nacho come out where Menace
is just an innocent bystander. He's just hanging out, being Menace.
You know what I mean? And she's just dogging him. Yeah.
And then when she gets crazy, then I go, guess what?
What do I do? You leave. See you later. He does.
He leaves her there. He's like, all right, I'm out.
And she's like, fine, I'm staying. See you. Yeah. I'm
(01:32:53):
not like 20 years old anymore where I'm going to
go back and forth and argue about stuff. And it's funny.
She gets that look in her face.
Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
She goes.
Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
Bye. I've seen it. It's so funny.
Speaker 6 (01:33:04):
No love lost.
Speaker 4 (01:33:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
So I guess we all deal with it in our
own way, right? Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:33:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
Although, like, all I see is Gina being sweet to Andy.
Speaker 7 (01:33:12):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
I don't think I've ever seen. I'm like, wow. And
I said, can't you be more like Gina? Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:33:17):
But she's so sweet to Andy that you think it's sarcasm.
Speaker 1 (01:33:20):
I know.
Speaker 7 (01:33:21):
Well, Greg was like, hon, can you please? Yes, hon.
Speaker 4 (01:33:25):
Oh, thanks, hon.
Speaker 2 (01:33:26):
I love it.
Speaker 7 (01:33:27):
I mean, not that you don't love your spouses.
Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
We're talking about sports parents. Sorry, we got on a tangent.
About how we're married to mean people.
Speaker 11 (01:33:36):
By the way, this has been studied to be true.
Women start about 80 to 85% of disagreements or fights
in relationships.
Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
I believe that. That is the science. Says Vincent. No, no.
Speaker 11 (01:33:46):
It says that this was a study done about relationships
many years ago.
Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
I hate confrontation. That's where I went to digs, you know?
Speaker 13 (01:33:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
I might be onto something, Greg. I know. Way better.
So anyway, I got some audio here. This parent ran
out of the stands and onto the field and tripped
a little kid. To prevent the kid from scoring a touchdown.
Speaker 7 (01:34:09):
Damn!
Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
This is a news report.
Speaker 15 (01:34:13):
A nine-year-old football player rushing for a touchdown. Suddenly taken
to the ground by an adult. There was a parent
on the other side of the field that just kind of,
he looked like he ran full force.
Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
And just stuck his leg out.
Speaker 15 (01:34:26):
Claire Bernal says she saw it happen during Saturday's game
in Racine between the Case Eagles and the Milwaukee Colts.
Speaker 8 (01:34:32):
It's just completely abhorrent behavior from someone.
Speaker 6 (01:34:36):
Let's go.
Speaker 15 (01:34:37):
The player was not hurt, and witnesses told 12 News
they later saw police talking to the man after the game.
Speaker 2 (01:34:44):
He should be banned for life to me.
Speaker 7 (01:34:47):
Well, yeah, at least.
Speaker 2 (01:34:48):
100%. The video is so funny if you haven't seen it.
It's not subtle in any way. Not at all. There's
no question what happened.
Speaker 7 (01:34:55):
Because of these idiots, there are signs now at kids'
baseball diamonds that say, coaches coach, players play, parents cheer.
Because they're trying to coach and they're trying to play.
Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
Yeah, well, my son, he will ref little kids' hockey games.
And he said the parents are insane. He gets yelled at,
screamed at. And he's like, I'm barely making any calls whatsoever.
Because they're little kids. You're supposed to just kind of
let them play. Unless something's super egregious. Or you're supposed
to keep control, keep the clock moving kind of thing.
(01:35:27):
He's not calling everything that should be called.
Speaker 6 (01:35:30):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
And these parents are freaking out as if there's a
scholarship on the line.
Speaker 16 (01:35:34):
The delusional parents that think their kid would never make
a foul.
Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
There's a scout in the audience. Question on the text.
Do y'all live with Virgos? That's what it is.
Speaker 4 (01:35:43):
I don't even know what my wife's sign is.
Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
It's gotta be the Zodiac. Yeah. But there's a.
Speaker 8 (01:35:49):
No, your wife is not Woody.
Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
Thank you. It's December 20th. She's Aries, yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:35:53):
Andy's is the end of July.
Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
July what? End of July, yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:35:56):
July what?
Speaker 6 (01:35:57):
29th.
Speaker 2 (01:35:58):
29th is Leo.
Speaker 7 (01:35:59):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:35:59):
What about December?
Speaker 4 (01:36:01):
End of December.
Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
December what?
Speaker 6 (01:36:04):
28th.
Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
28th is Capricorn. Sammy, why do you know all this?
And what about Nacho?
Speaker 6 (01:36:08):
January.
Speaker 2 (01:36:09):
January. Six. Early.
Speaker 4 (01:36:11):
Capricorn. Same.
Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
No Virgos. Well, there goes that theory. Damn it. That's
out the window. All right. 877-44-WOODY. Text over to 22987.
We'll be right back. Come on. Come on. Come on.
Come on, baby.
Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
The Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (01:36:27):
The Woody Show. The Woody Show. So Gina's got a
game for us. And it's called Sounds Legit. So how
does it work?
Speaker 7 (01:36:42):
Okay, so I found a couple Instagram accounts that reimagine
rock songs that we all know, but in a totally
different genre. So it's completely out of context. So I
pulled a few to see how quickly you can identify
the song that you should know, but it's just wildly off,
you know, format and out of context. So I figured
(01:37:02):
we'd let it play. We, you know, as many as
you want.
Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
So again, it's a song, a well-known song. Yes. But
applied to a different.
Speaker 7 (01:37:10):
Totally different music genre.
Speaker 2 (01:37:11):
Music genre.
Speaker 6 (01:37:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:37:12):
So just kind of, and we're just trying to figure
out what the song is.
Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
Okay. Identify the song.
Speaker 6 (01:37:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:37:16):
And so ring in your name.
Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (01:37:19):
These are all AI. And you, once you know it,
or you ring in with your name.
Speaker 4 (01:37:23):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
You guys ready for a song? Number one. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:37:28):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:37:28):
Here we go. I mean, I know some people are
going to throw up when they hear these, but they're
(01:37:50):
pretty catchy. Great song. I haven't seen them for a while.
(01:38:20):
Inner Vision and then another song, I think from the
same album. It's like this, uh steal this album i
think it's iea iaio underrated system of a down song
people always talk about this and like spiders and aerials
and stuff which are all great songs yeah those are
good byob great songs But yeah, all right. System of
(01:38:41):
a Down.
Speaker 7 (01:38:41):
Now you understand. These are songs you'll know.
Speaker 2 (01:38:43):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (01:38:43):
Totally different music format, music genre.
Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
Should I bow since I got that one? Do I
leave it up to everybody else now?
Speaker 7 (01:38:49):
I wanted you to play, but yeah, maybe sit one out.
Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
I'll sit one out. I think if you get one right,
you got to sit the next one out.
Speaker 7 (01:38:54):
Okay, that's a good idea.
Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Because you just might be too good at it. All right,
here we go. That sounds kind of cool. It does.
Speaker 1 (01:39:14):
Oh, got it.
Speaker 5 (01:39:16):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
Of course. I'm trying to give Greg. Oh, my God. Oh,
my God.
Speaker 7 (01:39:24):
Let it play.
Speaker 13 (01:39:24):
Let it play.
Speaker 4 (01:39:26):
Three words.
Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
Three words.
Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
Greg, Faith No More.
Speaker 1 (01:39:29):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:39:31):
All right. What's the name of the song?
Speaker 6 (01:39:33):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
You got it, Greg.
Speaker 3 (01:39:35):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 1 (01:39:37):
Epic.
Speaker 9 (01:39:37):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:39:37):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 7 (01:39:39):
I kind of like this one.
Speaker 2 (01:39:41):
I like that beginning part. That beginning part is pretty cool.
Speaker 7 (01:39:44):
It's supposed to be like 80s, 90s rap.
Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:39:48):
That's good.
Speaker 7 (01:39:48):
Yeah, I like that one.
Speaker 2 (01:39:57):
And it feels so good. It's like walking the glass. Yeah,
it's good.
Speaker 7 (01:40:02):
Are you back in, Woody?
Speaker 2 (01:40:03):
That's not fair. I got that one pretty quick. I'll
raise my hand when I know I've got it. Got it.
Speaker 7 (01:40:10):
Sounds good.
Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
All right. Number three.
Speaker 13 (01:40:12):
Number three.
Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
Say your prayers, little one. Don't forget my son. You
include everyone. The game has something to do with the genre.
It's do you know lyrics.
Speaker 7 (01:40:43):
I knew he'd get it. Well, everyone's real quiet.
Speaker 4 (01:40:46):
Oh my god, I know the song.
Speaker 2 (01:40:49):
You all know this song. Menace.
Speaker 7 (01:40:54):
One point to Menace.
Speaker 2 (01:40:55):
What's the song? Sandman, Enter Sandman. You know I'm not
good with names of songs.
Speaker 4 (01:41:04):
This is so much harder than I thought.
Speaker 13 (01:41:06):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:41:06):
Really?
Speaker 7 (01:41:08):
It really messes with your mind when you hear it
out of context.
Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
Sounds like it's on Hallelujah 1600. Oh, yeah. Great song.
Can't wait to see them at the Sphere. Oh, yeah.
That's going to be a badass show.
Speaker 4 (01:41:24):
That's going to be good.
Speaker 7 (01:41:27):
No, they're going into next year.
Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
It starts in October. Wow. Yeah. I would see that.
Speaker 1 (01:41:32):
Hell yeah. Great.
Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
That's how that works. All right. So I got one.
Greg's got one. Menace has one. We'll see how long
we'll take the rest of the room. So Seabass, Sammy.
I've been in my head chapping each time.
Speaker 17 (01:41:57):
All right.
Speaker 7 (01:41:58):
Feel free to participate.
Speaker 2 (01:41:59):
Because I want to let you guys play. Okay. All right.
We'll see how that works out between Sammy, Seabass, and
Jeff G. And we'll do that.
Speaker 4 (01:42:07):
What's that?
Speaker 2 (01:42:08):
I know the answers.
Speaker 15 (01:42:09):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:42:09):
We'll do that right after the break.
Speaker 1 (01:42:10):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:42:16):
Some feedback from round number one. Fun game, Gina.
Speaker 6 (01:42:18):
Oh, good.
Speaker 1 (01:42:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
Who are the cover artists? Well, that's the thing. They're
all generated by AI. Roblox. I mean, Gina didn't generate them. No.
Speaker 7 (01:42:31):
I found them on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (01:42:32):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:42:33):
Yeah, hey, this is a cool game, Gina. I like it. Good.
And this game just proves that no one knows lyrics
except for Woody, which is weird because here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (01:42:42):
You said you're not a lyrics guy.
Speaker 2 (01:42:43):
I'm really not, but Faith No More, System of Doubt,
these are all songs I've played a billion times on
the radio. And especially that first part, like where the
song first starts, like the first couple lines of any song.
Speaker 7 (01:42:54):
That's what you know the best.
Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
Because I've heard those songs. He has to stop talking
when they start talking. Exactly right. We call that in
the industry the post. Yeah, I'm the postmaster general. Anyway,
we brought in, since Jeff G already knew the answers,
he helped Gina put these clips into the system for
this next one. So I guessed one already correctly. Greg
(01:43:17):
guessed one, Mena guessed one. So we're out.
Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
So we're out.
Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
So this is between the three people who are still left,
which would be Seabass, Sammy, and then Dumbass Tyler. All right.
Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
D-A-T.
Speaker 2 (01:43:27):
D-A-T in the building.
Speaker 7 (01:43:29):
Good matchup.
Speaker 2 (01:43:30):
All right. So clip number four. Again, this is a
cover of a very popular song generated by. That you
all should know. Artificial Intelligence. And you ring in with
your name when you think you know it.
Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (01:43:48):
Hello there. See you, Bess. See you, Bess. That is Blink-182.
Whatever the name of that song is. I gave you
the artist, though. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:44:03):
I actually kind of love this.
Speaker 2 (01:44:04):
I miss you. It's I miss you, yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:44:05):
Let it rain.
Speaker 4 (01:44:06):
Yeah, there we are again.
Speaker 2 (01:44:11):
All right, so Seabass, you're out.
Speaker 7 (01:44:13):
Tyler, I thought you'd get that.
Speaker 2 (01:44:14):
No, I had it on tiptoe. And yeah, can I.
Speaker 8 (01:44:17):
Say, if I was able to take the time to
sing out the entire lyrics on my.
Speaker 2 (01:44:21):
Own, I would have got it too.
Speaker 7 (01:44:23):
That was kind of cheating, but I didn't know if
anyone was going to get it.
Speaker 2 (01:44:26):
Thank you.
Speaker 7 (01:44:27):
I don't hate the 80s version of that. Don't at me.
Speaker 1 (01:44:29):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:44:30):
All right. Next one. This is between Sammy and Dumbass Tyler.
Song number five. See that?
Speaker 1 (01:44:40):
Nope.
Speaker 2 (01:44:41):
Oh, this is so, come on. You will get it.
Speaker 6 (01:44:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:45:06):
I'm lost.
Speaker 13 (01:45:07):
Really?
Speaker 1 (01:45:09):
Oh, the 80s.
Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
Tyler.
Speaker 4 (01:45:10):
It's Paradise City, Guns N' Roses.
Speaker 7 (01:45:12):
I mean, you did say it at the same time.
Speaker 5 (01:45:14):
Oh, you did?
Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
I couldn't even hear her. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:45:17):
Come on.
Speaker 7 (01:45:18):
He likes the funk version.
Speaker 1 (01:45:20):
Come on.
Speaker 2 (01:45:20):
I haven't heard that song in a minute, but yeah.
Come on.
Speaker 7 (01:45:36):
I proposed something for the last song.
Speaker 4 (01:45:38):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
We just leave Sammy hanging out there until she figures
it out.
Speaker 7 (01:45:42):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:45:42):
She gets singing all day. We get to hear her sing.
Speaker 7 (01:45:45):
I don't think she's going to get it.
Speaker 4 (01:45:47):
You don't?
Speaker 7 (01:45:48):
What if we have the quote unquote best?
Speaker 2 (01:45:50):
Well, let's try.
Speaker 7 (01:45:51):
What if Seabass and Greg?
Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
Well, no, let's just try. Let's just try for Sammy.
But I do want to go home today. Good luck
with that. All right, Sammy, you're on. Here we go.
All right. Something takes a part of me.
Speaker 4 (01:46:10):
Oh, that's so easy.
Speaker 5 (01:46:12):
Something lost and never seen.
Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
Every time I start to believe. I doubt she's ever
heard you. That's what I said.
Speaker 4 (01:46:22):
It's not a good idea.
Speaker 1 (01:46:25):
She has.
Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
And by the way, Woody knows the lyrics to all
these songs, not just the beginning.
Speaker 15 (01:46:29):
But he's not a lyricist.
Speaker 2 (01:46:30):
That's all possible. We know this, Sammy.
Speaker 7 (01:46:33):
What are you singing it for, yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:46:36):
Yeah, everyone does.
Speaker 7 (01:46:36):
I try to every night all in vain, in vain.
Speaker 2 (01:46:41):
2002? Is that about right? No, this is like 98.
The name of the album is Follow the Leader.
Speaker 1 (01:46:53):
Can I.
Speaker 7 (01:46:55):
Give her a strong hit?
Speaker 1 (01:46:57):
98 is correct.
Speaker 2 (01:46:58):
Of course it is. Did we hit the chorus? I
don't know. We have to replay it. What's the hint, Tyler?
The band is named after a vegetable.
Speaker 7 (01:47:13):
Oh, that's a good hint.
Speaker 4 (01:47:14):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
That's not a good hint. Your body doesn't really digest it.
Speaker 13 (01:47:18):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:47:19):
Corn is a grain out of vegetable.
Speaker 7 (01:47:20):
That's what I said.
Speaker 2 (01:47:22):
Corn, freak on the leash.
Speaker 8 (01:47:23):
But I would never know the.
Speaker 13 (01:47:24):
Lyrics to the song.
Speaker 7 (01:47:25):
This is not me at all.
Speaker 13 (01:47:26):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:47:27):
I tried. I tried to exclude you from that one.
Speaker 5 (01:47:29):
I know you did.
Speaker 7 (01:47:30):
But I'm glad you got to hear that.
Speaker 1 (01:47:32):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (01:47:32):
Either way, fun game, Gina Graham.
Speaker 6 (01:47:33):
Love it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:35):
