Speaker 1 (00:00):
Speaking of K pop demon Hunters, I got a chance
to hop on a zoom with them on Friday morning.
The three were so sweet and I want to play
you guys some of this because I didn't know a
lot about uh hun tricks and what hun Tricks was
all about, so I did a little research ahead of time,
but I think they gave me more info about them

(00:21):
than any research that I could have done. Hun Tricks.
Can you guys hear me?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
We can.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
How are you hi?

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It's so nice Now I have everybody right, I have
ej REAMI and Audrey Nuna. Oh my god, I got
the Grammy nominated unbelievable hun Tricks with you right now?
How were there? And you guys just found that out too?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Right?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
How does that feel valid?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah, it's getting that. I was seeping a little bit.
It feels a little like validating. I feel I feel
like good shoulders. Yeah, we should all have pat on shoulder.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
I would stop crying.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
So I love it. You got clean ax and everything there.
That's amazing. So okay, So you had to do these
interviews or you got these interviews all set up? Did
you get a chance to at least text a family
member or you know, mom or somebody insane.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I was blowing off right now talk. I have to
go and do not disturbed so I don't get interrupted
in these interviews.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Oh my god, that's so funny. And the funny thing
is they probably have all their notification sets so that
anytime you guys are making news, they're getting notified. And
I just got notified just a second ago. About you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yay.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
First off, I'm honored, I'm Mojo. We're in Detroit, Grand
Rapids and Toledo and it's the middle of the world.
It's cold and uh, but we love we love our
Hunter tricks, we love Cape Demon Hunters. And you guys
have the number one most sing alongable song probably ever
and it's it's got to be wild for you guys.

(02:08):
I don't know if you guys have ever experienced hearing
your song and looking over at a kid to an
adult singing along to it.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
That's the best part. I think, this whole thing.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
That's what makes it like really click for me.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I think those interactions.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
And I went to sing along this past weekend and
I was like, you know, hidden, but I went to
an earlier showing because it was a bunch of kids.
They threw a party in there. They were up in
their seats, jumping around, screaming. It was a whole party.
And that made me cry so much. I was like
in the corner, just bawling my eyes out.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
You cry a lot, Are you okay? You're very emotional.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I think it's all this pent up, enteredy like feelings
finally coming out from the past few months.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
I'm like, yeah, I told this story on the radio
that you know how biggest song is. And obviously you
guys are big because of this is such a huge song,
but also honestly, the you know, our K pop demon
Hunters are so huge. But I knew how big you
were when I was driving around. It's beautiful outside. It
was an eighty degree day, and you know how you're

(03:16):
at a red light and you hear music coming from
another car and you're like, what are they listening to?
And I want to know? And I look over at
the car and it is no joke, A forty something
year old dude in the car with your song just
as up loud as possibly can be. And I'm going,
you know what, I think these guys are pop culture

(03:37):
craziness right now.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Wow, I feel honored after that.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Yeah, shut up, Oh my god. It was it was
a beautiful thing. And it was a nice car too.
It was literally it was a really really nice car.
It was like a Bentley or something like that. I'm
going rich. Guys love this song coming up.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
His stocks, He's like stocks going up.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Right.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I want to talk about a couple of things. First off,
we're really excited about jingle Ball and your guys' association
with jingle Ball. I want you to know that there
are so many you know, parents to you know, college
age kids that are so excited to come to jingle
Ball for the sing along with you.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
So excited to be there.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
We're excited. And I have to tell you when I
was looking at stats on the song, but also you
ladies and all the great talent that you have. You
the first female K pop group to be number one,
the longest running girl group on the Billboard Hot one
hundred charts, beating Destiny's Child, which to me, when I

(04:44):
saw that statu it's like one of those stats that
you see in sports and you go, this person's a
better hitter than Hank Aaron. You're like, what's going on.
That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Oh my god, I know it's crazy. Well, I don't
know this is this is insane, Like, oh god, I
can't digest it right now.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
I needed how did you guys all meet or how
did you guys come together?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
This movie? It is literally like we kind of briefly
saw each other when recording and then when this all
you know, the fans just love the fans truly like
got us together, really and we just started performing together
or rehearsing together.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
I have known each other before, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, we never really like we never worked together like that.
Like the first time we actually were in the room
together the three of us was at the premiere.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Oh yeah, wow. And I always wonder like when you
come together, because I've asked justin Timberlake this way back
when and sync was, you know, just kind of going
and he was going on solo, and I said, what
if you guys don't like each other? You know, Like
what happens if you guys don't like each other? You know?
And now you're all of a sudden doing all this
press and even doing a lot of shows together each other. Oh,

(06:00):
we love each other, I really love each other.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
We are blessed.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
I'm so blessed to be around these two women, and
they teach me so much, and it's honestly working with
them as one of the greatest joys of being a
part of this film.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
That's cool. I want to ask you guys, each one
by one, what was the craziest job you ever had
before now doing what you're doing? EJ, what was your
craziest job you ever had?

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I worked at Abercrombie and fish Oh my god, a little.
The people in the front just be like, hi.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Wow, and imagine I could hear your song and an
Abercronbie really really loud with the smells of Abercrombie going right. Absolutely,
Rayami the same question.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
I used to be a nanny for eight years.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Wow. Did you like the kids? Were they good kids?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I love? I mean, listen, kids are so useful and
lively and they bring you life.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I loved being a nanny.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Very good money, Wow, flexible schedule, especially as a student.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Nice. Are they are the kids young still? Or are
the kids older?

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Actually? No, my last the last family I watched, the
kids are now once graduated college. The other ones a junior. Wow,
are still in contact. They come to my concerts.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
It's really cool, beautiful and Audrey Nuna, what about you
would you have?

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I was an usher at a theater in college when
I was at NYU for a year, and I just
was able to It was actually kind of fire gig.
It's funny because I have no directional sensibility, so.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
I tell people to go to the wrong seat all
the time. That's great fun to.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
See free plays and be supposed to theater like that.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
That's amazing. Well, I love the chance to get to
talk to you guys, and I know you guys are
as big as ever in jingle Ball. For everybody that
wants to know K pop demon Hunters sing along, We're
going to all be singing along with you guys, and
we're really excited about doing that. And I know that
everybody's excited with iHeart for your performance at jingle Ball.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
You're excited.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
And I went into the interview with them on Friday, which,
by the way, you can see the zoom of that
Bianca's posting on social media. I went into it in
five seconds before Lydia grabbed me and said, hey, they
just got nominated. I'm not kidding before so they found
out as I found out and that's how they were
able to kind of know that they were just nominated

(08:31):
Song of the Year Artist or they. I mean, that's
a pretty big nomination, well deserved for three women who
got put together through a movie in K pop Demon
Hunters all right, jingle Ball tickets coming up in thirty
